Add Exposure Mode Field to EXIF Metadata

Bridge has a field in the EXIF metadata called Exposure Mode. Lightroom does not. Can this field be added in Lightromm? And, if so, how?
Thanks

The ExifMeta plugin lets you view, filter, and search via smart collections any metadata field.

  • How to make Canon specific EXIF metadata visible in LR?

    Hi
    I love LR but it excludes some fields of EXIF metadata that are provided by Canon's propietary raw converter. I am sure that there must be a way to make these visible inside LR so one can filter and create smart collections based on these metadata.
    What is the best way to achieve this? A plug-in? Any additional info?
    Thanks,
    Juan Dent

    One possibility is to use Exiftool that can read Canon tags and transform it to keywords or captions that LR can understand. Check out this list from http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/TagNames/Canon.html:

  • Metering Mode - EXIF metadata

    Is there any correlation between the Metering Mode (a number) in the EXIF metadata and the actual mode used on cameras ?
    Not mentioned in forums, the manual, or an Aperture book i have...which means it must be obvious and every but me knows it...!
    I expect it may differ between manufacturers and possibly cameras. Does the camera drop a number into this field when the image is taken ? Looking for details on Canon EOS series (rebelxt, 20d & 5).
    eg for EOS 5
    1=CW
    2=spot
    3=evaluative....

    On my D60 the info is..
    3= Evaluative
    4= Partial
    5= CW
    Aperture doesn't read the EXIF as well as iView MP, I seem to loose a bit, flash fire/no fire, exposure comp, mode etc. iView manages to get it all.
    I love the ap though - it saves me hours, and keeps me organised!

  • Missing Exposure EXIF Metadata After RAW Conversion

    I am running Photoshop CS6 on a 64-bit Windows 7 PC.  Since upgrading from CS5 I have noticed that the Exposure EXIF metadata as viewed in Bridge vanishes after RAW conversion/adjustment of my images.  I've read at least one other posting to the forums describing a similar situation, however, I've not seen an acknowledgement of an issue or bug in Bridge.  Clearing the RAW conversion settings restores the missing EXIF metadata.

  • How do I extract my photographs EXIF metadata from Aperture using Automator?

    I have the following Automator workflow
    Get selected images
    Filter for picks
    Extract metadata (checked all fields)
    New Text file
    Open finder item (selected preferred application)
    When run the text file just the exif fields has been exported with none of the metadata (eg shuuter speed, ISO etc)

  • EXIF Metadata Values

    Hi,
    I'm using a Canon XSI/450D and I'm wondering how Aperture pulls in the various White Balance presets, Metering Modes & Exposure Modes. All of these are available EXIF fields, but they only display a number, but some only display either a 1 or 0 even though there are more options than that in the camera. As far as I know these settings aren't proprietary to Canon (like their Picture Style settings), so I can't figure out how to get them to display in the Aperture metadata fields. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Brian

  • How to add Camera Mfg data to EXIF?

    Hi,
    I have a Panasonic GH3 camera.  I would like to add an item that is in the EXIF data of the RAW and DNG file to the EXIF fields kept by LR5. I can see all the camera EXIF data by using the GREAT 'exiftool.exe' created by Phil Harvey.
    http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/#running
    Just to start, I would like to add the item "Focus Mode" that is in the "Panasonic" section of the EXIF file of the RAW and DNG files.  The Focus Mode field has values such as:
    Example 1:
    ---- Panasonic ----
    Image Quality                   : Raw
    Firmware Version                : 0.1.2.0
    White Balance                   : Auto
    Focus Mode                      : Manual
    AF Area Mode                    : 1-area
    Image Stabilization             : Off
    Macro Mode                      : Off
    Shooting Mode                   : Aperture Priority
    or, as anoher example:
    Example 2:
    ---- Panasonic ----
    Image Quality                   : Raw
    Firmware Version                : 0.1.2.0
    White Balance                   : Auto
    Focus Mode                      : AF-S
    AF Area Mode                    : 1-area
    Image Stabilization             : Off
    Macro Mode                      : Off
    Shooting Mode                   : Aperture Priority
    I find this data in both the Panasonic Raw files, and the DNG files created by LR5 (and I was very relieved to find that the Focus Mode is carried forward to the DNG files, since I don't keep my old Panasonic RW2 Raw files after they are converted to DNG!).
    So, since this camera manufacturer data *is* in the DNG, LR5 *is* reading it.
    Thus my question:  How can I tell LR5 to inclued the "FOCUS MODE" value in the EXIF data it creates with each photo?
    I hope this is possible?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Wow!  That ExifMeta plugin looks great!
    It looks like it is just what I was looking for.
    But, it's been a very long hard day, and it's almost midnight here, so, I
    probably won't try to install the ExifMeta plugin until tomorrow.
    Thanks for the rapid response, and for creating what looks like a GREAT
    tool!

  • Lens Exif metadata worked for KM but no more for Sony cams

    Playing with the metadata panel in Aperture 2.1, I was surprised to see the information for the lens manufacturer/model for some shots I did with my old Konica-Minolta 5D DSLR.
    Sony took over the Konica-Minolta DSLR system about 2 years ago and as many others I have since moved to a Sony A100 body and recently to an A700 body.
    Using the very same lenses, that give me detailed lens Exif metadata with the old Konica-Minolta 5D, the metadata field is empty with Sony A100 and A700 files.
    A bit annoying, that the 4 years old Konica-Minolta 5D is supported in Aperture, while the follow up models from Sony are not.
    Hope this will be fixed in the next update.
    Peter

    Steve,
    you are probably right, that Sony is encoding the lens data in a somewhat non standard way.
    But as far as I know, in the EXIF of the Konica-Minolta files, this was done as well in a non standard way, by storing a binary lens code (at least I don't find any plaintext lens data in the image file, when I peek into it with a low level file-editor like Hexedit). As the lens information is displayed in clear text for the Konica-Minolta files within Aperture, Apple must have already integrated a lens database holding data for Konica-Minolta and Sony lenses. Interestingly even new Sony lenses like the Carl-Zeiss 16-80 lens show up, when used on an old Konica-Minolta DSLR.
    For me it looks like Sony might store the same lens-code now in a different proprietary EXIF field but Aperture is still looking into the old Konica-Minolta EXIF field, which is non existent or empty.
    So yes, Sony probably broke it, but there was enough time for Apple to fix it, especially as they have updated the lens database all the time. It is weired to add all recent Sony lenses to Aperture's lens database, but make the data only available, if you use the lenses on a 5 years old Konica-Minolta body.
    So I repeat my request for Apple to fix this in Aperture soon.
    Peter

  • Updating EXIF metadata

    My new imports into Aperture 2 show some metadata which was not present in in 1.5. Specifically, the new version identifies lenses specifically and records camera serial numbers.
    I would like to get my imported library to show these metadata items too. The info must be in the raw file, but doesn't show in the Aperture 2 metadata. I assume this means that the metadata is parsed at import and then not touched again.
    Does anyone know a way of forcing Aperture to update the metadata from raw files to take advantage of software improvements?

    I am disappointed to see that a bunch of EXIF metadata is still not imported correctly from my EOS 1D Mk 3 - ie metering mode, exposure mode and white balance are still only represented by numbers and not their actual selection title.
    Is this my error are there any other EOS1D Mk3 users out there experiencing the same issue?

  • How to add a new Field to the WEB User Interface in CRM 2007

    Dear experts,
    I have been struggling to add a new field to the (CRM 2007) user interface from available fields for a specific view.
    I have maintained settings in BS__WD_CMPWBàRuntime Repository editoràComponentàViewàConfigurationàNew ConfigurationàAvailable FieldsàField Propertiesàand save.
    But the field is only appearing in display mode in the Web UI, which doesnu2019t allows any user input.
    I need your help to resolve the issue, I would be grateful if you could provide step-by-step documentation with screenshots or any other kind of documentation.
    Each suggestion will be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Raghu ram.

    Hi Raghu Ram,
    I think you added a new custom field using some method like EEWB etc.,
    Then, you are adding the field onto the UI using UI Configuration Tool .. right ?
    These are the steps to diagnose:
    Method 1.Check the field properties in the model browser first.
      It should be showing 'C' i.e., CHANGEABLE. If it is showing as 'R', it is only READABLE.
      In such a case you need to find a BADI to change the field properties.
      For example, in Marketing Applications OBJ BADI has a method CHANGE FIELD PROPERTIES for this purpose.
    Method 2. Debug and check what is the value coming for RV_DISABLED parameter in the GET_I method in BSP_WD_CMPWB. This should be FALSE.
    Method 3. Check what are the field properties in the UI Configuration tool.
    Make sure it is not a display only field.

    Masood Imrani S.

    I am trying to edit the fields of an Adobe form from one of my co-workers.  We both are running Acrobat 9 Standard v9.5.2.  She is able to see the Forms-->"Add or Edit Fields" menu, while I cannot.
    I cannot get this menu item to show?  Can someone tell me if there is an option or setting to enable so that I can get to this menu item?
    Here is a screenshot of the form:
    Here is a screenshot of the Adobe Acrobat version we are running:
    Thanks,
      Ted

    Finally found a work around to my problem.  Here are the steps:
    (1) The original form.  Note missing "Add or Edit Fields" menu item.
    (2) Click on Document-->Extract Pages
    (3) The following dialog pops up.  Since I am only working with a 1 page form I accept the defaults and click OK.
    (4) The following window is launched.  Now I just save the newly generated form:
    (5) Now when I check the Forms menu, I finally see the "Add or Edit Fields" item:  Yay!!!!
    (6) In checking the Document Properties of the new form, the Application (PScript5.dll)  and PDF Producer (GPL Ghostscript 8.15) metadata is still the same as before:
    Still don't know why I couldn't get to the "Add or Edit Fields" menu item in the original form.  After doing the Extract, now I am able to get to it.   At this point that's all I care about right now.
    Thanks George for helping me investigate this issue!

  • Add a New Field to Selection Screen of VL10 Transactions problem

    Hello,
    i have tried to add a selection field in the VL10G. I have used the docu from Gaurav Jagya (Thanks to Gaurav) an followed the steps. Here you can find the docu: Link: [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/e07c282f-e2b4-2c10-e4b3-a314fc17b6a1]
    In the Step 2 , Point 4 i declare the Select option ST_MTART and use it later in Step 5  in the form USEREXIT_SELECT_OPTIONS_TRANSF.
    Step 2.
    4. Write the declaration of new select-option inside include ZV50RSEL_MTART.
    DATA: V_MTART TYPE MARA-MTART.
    SELECT-OPTIONS: ST_MTART for V_MTART.
    Step 5. Transfer values from selection screen to range.
    For this step, again an access key is required to modify include V50R_USEREXIT_TRANSF.
    1. Open include V50R_USEREXIT_TRANSF in change mode. It will ask for an access key. Enter the same and proceed.
    2. Write following line of code inside form USEREXIT_SELECT_OPTIONS_TRANSF:
    CX_SELECT_OPTIONS-MTART = ST_MTART[].
    When i start the VL10G it works fine, but when i start another VL10* transaction i get a dump. Example VL10:
    Runtime Errors         SYNTAX_ERROR
    Date and Time          20.04.2010 13:54:00
    Short text
         Syntax error in program "RVV50R10C ".
    What happened?
         Error in the ABAP Application Program
         The current ABAP program "SAPLV50R_PRE" had to be terminated because it has
         come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
         The following syntax error occurred in program "RVV50R10C " in include
          "V50R_USEREXIT_TRANSF " in
         line 18:
         "field "ST_MTART unknown. .."
    It dumped, because the form V50R_USEREXIT_TRANSF is used in EVERY VL10* transaction and the select-option is declared ONLY in my Z-include.
    Is the someone out there, who has solved the problem? Is the an error in the docu or am i wrong?
    Thanks!
    Andreas

    Has there been any further information on this issue in this or any other threads. I am encountering the same issue as identified by Andreas.
    Thanks,

  • Add a new field in the Tab Addicional data en la ME22N

    Hi,
    Please, can anyone tell me how can we add a new field in the tab Addicional data en la ME21N? I have to use the MM06E005, but I don't know which screen exit should I use and also how to add this subcreen in the tab Addicional data.
    Thanks in advance.
    Saida.

    Hi,
    using SE80 you can add your fields with subscreens
    SAPLXM06 0101 for Headerfields
    SAPLXM06 0111 for Items.
    This will add a tab in ME2..N.
    if you want your own Text on the tabstrip just edit the Textsymbols
    101 and 111 from SAPLXM06.
    At output you have to open a module asking the gl_aktyp to switch edit/display mode.
    then you must code the Exits to import/export values
    EXIT_SAPMM06E_006
    store transaction type for later modification of screen attributes
    gl_aktyp = i_trtyp.
    gl_no_screen = i_no_screen.
    store current state of customer data in ekko_ci (structure for screen)
    ekko_ci = i_ci_ekko.
    store reference document
    if i_rekko-ebeln ne gl_rekko-ebeln and
    not i_rekko-ebeln is initial and
    gl_rekko-ebeln is initial.
    ekko_ci-zzemail = i_rekko-zzemail.
    gl_rekko = i_rekko.
    endif.
    EXIT_SAPMM06E_007
    move-corresponding i_ekko to gl_ekko_ci.
    EXIT_SAPMM06E_008
    e_ci_ekko = gl_ekko_ci.
    ekko_ci contains the actual values of the Dynpro fields
    e_ci_update is only set if you really want the fields
    on the Dynpro to be saved. You must set it then to 'X'
    the field ekko_ci-zzflag will here only be saved if there
    was a change and the transaction is not in display mode
    if gl_ekko_ci-zzemail ne ekko_ci-zzemail.
    e_ci_ekko-zzemail = ekko_ci-zzemail.
    if gl_aktyp ne 'A'.
    e_ci_update = 'X'.
    endif.
    endif.

  • How to use OMJX transaction? Need to add an additional field on MIGO item

    hi guys
    we need to add a new field on the MIGO screen at the item level. We are trying to explore OMJX to add custom fields.
    We have used append structutre to enhance the GOITEM structure but are not clear on how to use OMJX.
    ANy idea how to use the transaction OMJX.
    Thanks in advance

    With the Business Add-In (BAdI) MB_MIGO_BADI, you can extend the
    interface of the goods movements transaction (MIGO) with additional
    tabstrip controls for the detailed information (detail tabstrips) and
    header information (header tabstrips). It is possible for an external
    application
    o  to display an additional detail tabstrip with own subscreen (max. 10
       lines) in MIGO
    o  to display an additional header tabstrip with own subscreen (max. 3
       lines) in MIGO
    The program name, screen number and tab page text can be determined
    dynamically. Different screens can therefore be controlled according to
    the mode (for example, change mode, display mode, goods receipt, goods
    issue).
    Pushbuttons
    It is not possible to implement pushbuttons in the MIGO menu, but you
    can, however, implement pushbuttons directly on the external subscreen.
    The OK code from MIGO is forwarded to the external application so it can
    react.
    Cursor Control
    So that the cursor stays on the same subscreen after you press Continue,
    if it was positioned there before, the external application in the own
    PAI must hold the cursor positioning (on the same screen 'yes'/'no'; if
    'yes', on which field), to set the cursor in PBO again.
    Requirements
    If you use the BAdI MB_MIGO_BADI in MIGO to update customer-own data, in
    addition to the material document, to the database, you should note the
    following:
    o  The BAdI MB_MIGO_BADI is only active in transaction MIGO.
    o  If you post goods movements with other transactions (for example, with
       MB01, MB1C, VL02N), you must ensure that customer data is also
       updated, if necessary.
       You can do this by using the BAdI MB_DOCUMENT_BADI (Creating a
       material document) to post the goods movements with the transactions
       mentioned above.
    o  Note that otherwise, posting the goods movements will lead to
       inconsistencies between SAP system data (for example, in stocks,
       material documents, FI documents) and customer data.
