Add hbj:table into hbj:tabstrip
Hi,
how is it possible to add a <hbj:table> into a <hbj:tabstrip>? When i put the code of my table into the tabstrip i get a rutime exception. The table works outside the tabstrip. What could be my mistake?
<hbj:tableView
id="mytableView"
model="myBean.model"
design="ALTERNATING"
headerVisible="true"
footerVisible="true"
visibleFirstRow="1"
visibleRowCount="5"
rowCount="16"
width="500px">
</hbj:tableView>
I put the piece of code inside <hbj:tabStripItemBody>.

Can I add more tables into existing Data Modeler
My Data Modeler has been generated by SQL Developer, it contains 68 tables. Later I would like to add more tables into my current model. Is there any way I can add more tables into my current model without creating a new one from the scratch? Thanks for your help.
KevinHi Kevin,
you can add new tables using File>Import functionality - you can import from database or DDL scripts.
Working in SQL Developer you can drag tables from SQL Dev browser and drop them on relational diagram. If Ctrl key is pressed while dropping then subordinate tables also will be added to the model.
Here you can find tutorials http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=44785:2:0:FORCE_QUERY::2,RIR,CIR:P2_TAGS:Data%20Modeler

How to add new table into running extract pump and replicat files
Hi all, i am very much confused how we should add a new table for replication into extract pump and replicat parameter files without stopping them manually? Is there any way where we can add them without disturbing functionality of OGG?
Experts help required on this
Thanks in advanceHi,
You can stop and restart the extract process after modifying the extract prm files. the current and last reading point details available checkpoint tables ,or it can get it from info command itself , so you can start the extract process at the point of particular RBA or SEQ no, but you make sure the retention period of your archive log files, because all the transactions are moved in to archive log location, so extract process will fetch the data from archive log also,
Documentation states:
If Extract abends when a long-running transaction is open, it can seem to take a long time
to recover when it is started again. To recover its processing state, Extract must search
back through the online and archived logs (if necessary) to find the first log record for that
long-running transaction. The farther back in time that the transaction started, the longer
the recovery takes, in general, and Extract can appear to be stalled.
Why archive logs?
GG reads online redo logs in default but when they are all switched, and for some reason in the meantime GG stopped (abended) it doesn't have the last transaction as transaction was in online log that switched. That is why you need archive logs, so that GG can reach this old transaction in archive log.
E.g you have two online logs, your transaction is at the begining of the first log. Extract abends. Transactions keep coming to database first online log switches to second, second switches to first and first again to second. You start GG but transaction you finished processing on is no longer in first online log. But it is in archive log.
What to do?
1) Start Oracle in archive log mode
2) Make sure you have available space for archive logs
GG will look into Oracle default location for archive logs when it abends and transaction is no longer in online log. -
how can i import tables from a different schema into the existing relational model... to add these tables in the existing relational/logical model? plss help
note; I already have the relational/logical model ready from one schema... and I need to add few more tables to this relational/logical model
can I import the same way as I did previously??
but even if I do the same how can I add it in the model?? as the logical model has already been engineered..
please help ...
thanksHi,
Before you start, you should probably take a backup copy of your design (the .dmd file and associated folder), in case the update does not work out as you had hoped.
You need to use Import > Data Dictionary again, to start the Data Dictionary Import Wizard.
In step 1 use a suitable database connection that can access the relevant table definitions.
In step 2 select the schema (or schemas) to import. The "Import to" field in the lower left part of the main panel allows you to select which existing Relational Model to import into (or to specify that a new Relational Model is to be created).
In step 3 select the tables to import. (Note that if there are an Foreign Key constraints between the new tables and any tables you had previously imported, you should also include the previous tables, otherwise the Foreign Key constraints will not be imported.)
After the import itself has completed, the "Compare Models" dialog is displayed. This shows the differences between the model being imported and the previous state of the model, and allows you to select which changes are to be applied.
Just selecting the Merge button should apply all the additions and changes in the new import.
Having updated your Relational Model, you can then update your Logical Model. To do this you repeat the "Engineer to Logical Model". This displays the "Engineer to Logical Model" dialog, which shows the changes which will be applied to the Logical Model, and allows you to select which changes are to be applied.
Just selecting the Engineer button should apply all the additions and changes.
I hope this helps you achieve what you want.

Correction: put ld-server-app.jar in the client classpath

Add combo box into table pagination
I want to add combo box into JavaFX table with pagination. Something like that:
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.beans.property.SimpleStringProperty;
import javafx.collections.FXCollections;
import javafx.collections.ObservableList;
import javafx.scene.Node;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.control.Pagination;
import javafx.scene.control.TableColumn;
import javafx.scene.control.TableView;
import javafx.scene.control.cell.PropertyValueFactory;
import javafx.scene.layout.AnchorPane;
import javafx.scene.layout.VBox;
import javafx.stage.Stage;
import javafx.util.Callback;
public class MainApp extends Application
final ObservableList<Person> data = FXCollections.observableArrayList(
new Person("1", "Joe", "Pesci"),
new Person("2", "Audrey", "Hepburn"),
new Person("3", "Gregory", "Peck")
private Pagination pagination;
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception
launch(args);
public int itemsPerPage()
return 1;
public int rowsPerPage()
return 5;
public VBox createPage(int pageIndex)
int lastIndex = 0;
int displace = data.size() % rowsPerPage();
if (displace > 0)
lastIndex = data.size() / rowsPerPage();
else
lastIndex = data.size() / rowsPerPage() - 1;
VBox box = new VBox(5);
int page = pageIndex * itemsPerPage();
for (int i = page; i < page + itemsPerPage(); i++)
TableView<Person> table = new TableView<>();
TableColumn numCol = new TableColumn("ID");
numCol.setCellValueFactory(
new PropertyValueFactory<Person, String>("num"));
numCol.setMinWidth(20);
TableColumn firstNameCol = new TableColumn("First Name");
firstNameCol.setCellValueFactory(
new PropertyValueFactory<Person, String>("firstName"));
firstNameCol.setMinWidth(160);
TableColumn lastNameCol = new TableColumn("Last Name");
lastNameCol.setCellValueFactory(
new PropertyValueFactory<Person, String>("lastName"));
lastNameCol.setMinWidth(160);
table.getColumns().addAll(numCol, firstNameCol, lastNameCol);
if (lastIndex == pageIndex)
table.setItems(FXCollections.observableArrayList(data.subList(pageIndex * rowsPerPage(), pageIndex * rowsPerPage() + displace)));
else
table.setItems(FXCollections.observableArrayList(data.subList(pageIndex * rowsPerPage(), pageIndex * rowsPerPage() + rowsPerPage())));
box.getChildren().add(table);
return box;
@Override
public void start(final Stage stage) throws Exception
pagination = new Pagination((data.size() / rowsPerPage() + 1), 0);
// pagination = new Pagination(20 , 0);
//pagination.setStyle("-fx-border-color:red;");
pagination.setPageFactory(new Callback<Integer, Node>()
@Override
public Node call(Integer pageIndex)
if (pageIndex > data.size() / rowsPerPage() + 1)
return null;
else
return createPage(pageIndex);
public static class Person
private final SimpleStringProperty num;
private final SimpleStringProperty firstName;
private final SimpleStringProperty lastName;
private Person(String id, String fName, String lName)
this.firstName = new SimpleStringProperty(fName);
this.lastName = new SimpleStringProperty(lName);
this.num = new SimpleStringProperty(id);
public String getFirstName()
return firstName.get();
public void setFirstName(String fName)
firstName.set(fName);
public String getLastName()
return lastName.get();
public void setLastName(String fName)
lastName.set(fName);
public String getNum()
return num.get();
public void setNum(String id)
num.set(id);
I suppose that this can be done with StackPane but I need some other more universal way to do this because I want to expand the table size. I need to place there the combo box always in a fix position.
Ref http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21147261/add-combo-box-into-table-paginationHi. You can do it using an AnchorPane:
AnchorPane.setBottomAnchor(comboBox, 40.0);
AnchorPane.setLeftAnchor(comboBox, 12.0);
The complete example :
import java.util.List;
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.beans.property.SimpleStringProperty;
import javafx.collections.FXCollections;
import javafx.collections.ListChangeListener;
import javafx.collections.ListChangeListener.Change;
import javafx.collections.ObservableList;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.control.Pagination;
import javafx.scene.Node;
import javafx.scene.control.ComboBox;
import javafx.scene.control.TableColumn;
import javafx.scene.control.TableView;
import javafx.scene.control.TextArea;
import javafx.scene.control.cell.PropertyValueFactory;
import javafx.scene.layout.AnchorPane;
import javafx.scene.layout.VBox;
import javafx.stage.Stage;
import javafx.util.Callback;
public class TablePager extends Application {

Attach User define tables and view table need add to database into my add-o
Hi there,
I want to deploy an addon, there are User define tables and view table need add to database.
I need some advice on some issues..
1. Can I attach User define tables and view table need add to database into my addon.
2. I wonder which chance is properly to add them, if add these user define objects in time of install and I can't get the enough information that connect to SQL server
Thanks for any help.Hi Weerachai,
Here's an example of how to create a user-defined table in code. My suggestion would be to check if it exists when your add-on starts up and then if not, create the tables, fields and objects.
'User Table
Private Sub CreateTable(ByVal sTable As String, ByVal sDescription As String, ByVal oObjectType As SAPbobsCOM.BoUTBTableType)
Dim oUserTablesMD As SAPbobsCOM.UserTablesMD
Dim iResult As Long
Dim sMsg As String
oUserTablesMD = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oUserTables)
If Not oUserTablesMD.GetByKey(sTable) Then
oUserTablesMD.TableName = sTable
oUserTablesMD.TableDescription = sDescription
oUserTablesMD.TableType = oObjectType
iResult = oUserTablesMD.Add()
If iResult <> 0 Then
oCompany.GetLastError(iResult, sMsg)
MessageBox.Show("Error Creating Table: " & sTable & " Error: " & sMsg)
End If
End If
System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUserTablesMD)
End Sub
'User Field
Private Sub CreateField(ByVal sTable As String, ByVal sName As String, ByVal sDescription As String, _
ByVal iSize As Integer, ByVal aFieldType As SAPbobsCOM.BoFieldTypes, _
ByVal aSubType As SAPbobsCOM.BoFldSubTypes, ByVal sLink As String, _
ByVal bMandatory As SAPbobsCOM.BoYesNoEnum)
Dim oUserFieldsMD As SAPbobsCOM.UserFieldsMD
Dim oTable As SAPbobsCOM.UserTable
Dim iResult As Long
Dim sMsg As String
Dim i As Integer
Dim x As Integer
Dim bFound As Boolean = False
Dim oField As SAPbobsCOM.Field
oTable = oCompany.UserTables.Item(sTable)
For i = 0 To oTable.UserFields.Fields.Count - 1
oField = oTable.UserFields.Fields.Item(i)
'MessageBox.Show(oField.Name)
If oField.Name = "U_" & sName Then
bFound = True
End If
Next
System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oTable)
If Not bFound Then
oUserFieldsMD = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oUserFields)
oUserFieldsMD.TableName = "@" & sTable
oUserFieldsMD.Name = sName
oUserFieldsMD.Description = sDescription
oUserFieldsMD.Type = aFieldType
If aFieldType = SAPbobsCOM.BoFieldTypes.db_Alpha Or aFieldType = SAPbobsCOM.BoFieldTypes.db_Numeric Then
oUserFieldsMD.EditSize = iSize
Else
oUserFieldsMD.SubType = aSubType
oUserFieldsMD.Mandatory = bMandatory
End If
oUserFieldsMD.LinkedTable = sLink
iResult = oUserFieldsMD.Add()
If iResult <> 0 Then
oCompany.GetLastError(iResult, sMsg)
MessageBox.Show("Error Creating Field: " & sTable & "." & sName & " Error: " & sMsg)
End If
System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUserFieldsMD)
End If
End Sub
If you want to create a View I think you would have to use the RecordSet object. This will ensure that you don't have to log in to the database again
Hope it helps,

ERICHi Ibai,
Thanks for your feed back. I give you an example.
Let say now i wanna print employee list, so i will go
1. Main Menu -> Reports -> HR -> Employee List
2. Choose the Selection Criteria -> OK
3. Matrix will display (Employee List)
4. I can print the report click on print button
5. Printing report
My target
1. Main Menu -> Eric_SubMenu -> Employee List
2. Matrix will display (Employee List)
3. Print button
4. Print report
My problem
Now I would like to use my own report format. My own report format means I wanna add on my logo or do some customization within the employee report. So how I am going to do? I only able to display the employee list in matrix. How do I create a new report format and display it.
Thanks.
