Add Header Line tot he output File

Hi,
Proxy to File Senario.
Details records are coming through proxy.
I need to add a static header line in the file that is created..
The Header line is something Like this :- "SSN";"UPI";"EFF_DATE";"STATUS";"STATUS_ACTION_CD";"PAY_CONTINUATION";"LASTNAME";"FIRSTNAME";"MI";"NAME_SFX";"LOC_CODE";"EMP_CAT";"
The configuration that i did in Content Conversion:-
Recordset :- HEADER,ROOT
HEADER.addHeaderline : 1
HEADER.headerline : "SSN";"UPI";"EFF_DATE";"STATUS";"STATUS_ACTION_CD";"PAY_CONTINUATION";"LASTNAME";"FIRSTNAME";"MI";"NAME_SFX";"LOC_CODE";"EMP_CAT";"
ignoreRecordsetName : true
ROOT.fieldSeparator : ;
ROOT.endSeparator : 'nl'
<b>But the error in Communication channel monitoring is : -</b>
Conversion initialization failed: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: Error(s) in XML conversion parameters found: Parameter 'HEADER.fieldFixedLengths' or 'HEADER.fieldSeparator' is missing....
So Plz help me out in this.....
Thanks
Harpreet

Hi Harpreet,
You can pass the static header content in your message mapping ....to the target header field..
and then use a normal FCC to print out the structure...

  • Add header line to the text file in receiver file adapter

    Hello Experts,
    I have to add a new line to the text file generated at the receiver end.
    My structure is
    Record
       Item......0-unbounded
             field1
             field2
             field3
    I have defined below parameters in receiver FCC.
    RecordSet Structure : Record,Item
    Item.fieldSeparator : ;
    Record.fieldSeparator : nl
    Record.endSeparator : '0x0D''0x0A' ( this is to get a carriage return at the end of the file)
    Item.addHeaderLine : 1
    With the above configuration, i am getting the desired output with NO header line.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Swetha.

    Hi, it looks like that the headerline "specification is only permitted if exactly one structure is defined." Please check [SAP help under Define Parameters for Recordset Structures|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/44/686e687f2a6d12e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm].
    One solution would be to generate the header fields in the message payload. Generate an additional first line containing the header names, e.g.
    <Item>
    <field1>Header1
    <field2>Header2
    <field3>Header3

  • How to add header line in a file from XI system using file adapters

    Hi All,
    I need to add header line (Column names) in a file coming from XI system.
    I am using file adapters.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Gaurav Mittal

    The Receiver File Adapter is configured, using the following settings:
    1) Choose File Content Conversion as the Message Protocol.
    2) You give the ‘addHeaderLine’ parameter as 1
    3) For the ‘fieldSeparator’ parameter you need to give field separator for both list and substructure (referring to the data type above). For eg: it may be a ‘,’ (comma) for substructure in a comma separated file.
    4) The ‘endSeparator’ parameter needs to given for substructure only. For eg: it may be a ‘nl’ (new line)
    5) Give the file name, the directory and the Construction mode. Activate all the settings. Receiver File Adapter with F.C.C. is configured.

  • Using `n how can i add two empty line (two carriage return), between these two lines in the output file?

    hi friends
    using `n   how can i add two empty line (two carriage return), between these two lines in the output file?
    PS C:\> $env:COMPUTERNAME | add-content c:\file.txt
    PS C:\> $Env:USERDOMAIN  | add-content c:\file.txt
     i tested "$env:computername`n`n`n$env:userdomain" | add-content c:\file.txt   but it results in
    myPCMyDomain
    but i wanted the contents of the output file be like this:
    MyPC
    #empty line here
    #empty line here
    MyDomain
     i tested many other forms but didn't work.
    thanks

    I tried it, as well. The line breaks were respected in the PowerShell console, Programmer's Notepad, and Word; they weren't in Notepad.
    You are using a Unicode file.  Locale is what?
    If you just want notepad compatible line breaks then do this:
    del file.txt ; "$env:computername`r`n`r`n`r`n$env:userdomain" | add-content file.txt ;notepad file.txt
    Look in hex to see that `n is ^L or 0xA and is only one character.  CrLf is 0xD 0xA - two characters.
    My programmers editors and VS all understand a single ^L as a line break so does PowerShell.  Only DOS/Notepad and other utilitis don't understand this..
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

                    INTO ls_attach-line SEPARATED BY lc_tab.
        CONCATENATE lc_cret ls_attach-line  INTO ls_attach-line.
      Append Error log data to attachment Table
        APPEND ls_attach TO lt_objbin.
      ENDLOOP.
    Call the function module to convert the data into Hex
      CALL FUNCTION 'SO_RAW_TO_RTF'
        TABLES
          objcont_old = lt_objbin

    Append converted hex data to attachment table
      LOOP AT lt_objbin INTO lv_line.
        ls_conv = cl_abap_conv_out_ce=>create( encoding = 'UTF-8' endian = 'B').
      Call lmethod to add the data to the output buffer sequentially.
        CALL METHOD ls_conv->write( data = lv_line ).
        lv_buffer = ls_conv->get_buffer( ).
        MOVE lv_buffer TO lv_hexa.

    Can anyone help me to create header and fooder in text file.Well you plainly have the code to write the file contents; and furthermore your report seems to be contained in a List called 'data'. Why not just add the header and footer lines to it? I'd also suggest making 'data' a LinkedList. That way you can add the header afterwards with no performance hit, just in case the information it contains isn't available at the start of your report loop.

  • Add new line in the Flat file based on the field value

    Hi,
    Following is my Flat File -
    Customer   X      Y
    1001          1       2
    1002          0       1
    Based on the X and Y value I need to add new lines in the Flat file. If X>0 then add a new line with repeating row and Y>0 add again a new line with repeating row. If X or Y=0 then no need to add any repeating new line.
    So, here for the above example I need output as-
    Customer    X    Y
    1001          1      2
    1001         1       2
    1001         1       2
    1002          0       1
    1002          0        1
    Suggest how we can achieve this?

    Hi Tridib,
        I tried your scenario and You will have to use the custom xslt to get the expected result.
        Please find bellow the xslt code which you can use in your map.

  • How can I add a line to my CSS file to have all TextArea fields show PRE

    Hi,
    I would like all my TextAreas to show the text as it was inserted into the database... with the new lines, tabs, etc...
    I would like to add a line to my CSS file to do this if possible.
    Thanks, Bill :>)

    Thanks for all the input!
    Fab. You have been talking about a report the whole time... I have been talking about one Database ITEM that is "Displayed as Text".
    In a report the replace() always works in all browsers I believe... and I had no problem.
    BUT, in a text ITEM I wasn't able to get anything to work..
    So, I created a report region and retieved this one column (item) and selected a borderless region and it is fine...
    select     replace(LAST_ACTION,chr(10),'<BR>') "LAST_ACTION"
    from     "HT_ISSUES" "HT_ISSUES"
    where issue_id = :P7_ISSUE_ID
    I still would like to know how to Display as Text - as it is in the DB.
    When have a Dispay as Text Item and I view Source when running the page.. it is correct in the source delivered to the browser but displays all one line.
    (I save a SQL statement to the field)
    [tr>[td  colspan="6" rowspan="6" align="left">[span class="t3NoLabel">Last Action Item[/span> [br>Maintenance Issue - SELECT *
    FROM (SELECT ROWNUM row_num, empno, ename, job, mgr,

    Hi,
    i don't think this can be done even in BADI.
    what you can do is once the Infospoke run is complete and the file generated , run a custom report for this.
    in the custom report open a file dataset , write header and then close the file dataset.
    then again open the file dataset in append mode , writhe the file that the infospoke generated and close the file dataset.
    include this custom program after you infospoke run in the process chain.
    Regards,
    Neeraj.

    /*$$SNPS_START_KEYSNP$CRDWG_TABLESNP$CRTABLE_NAME=FFT_SOLSNP$CRLOAD_FILE=/home/tarak/FFT_SOL.datSNP$CRFILE_FORMAT=FSNP$CRFILE_SEP_FIELD=0x0009SNP$CRFILE_SEP_LINE=0x000ASNP$CRFILE_FIRST_ROW=0SNP$CRFILE_ENC_FIELD=SNP$CRFILE_DEC_SEP=SNP$CRSNP$CRDWG_COLSNP$CRCOL_NAME=descrSNP$CRTYPE_NAME=STRINGSNP$CRLINE_OFFSET=1SNP$CRLENGTH=994SNP$CRPRECISION=994SNP$CR$$SNPS_END_KEY*/
    Any idea why this sysdate part is not showing in Header.

  • Header Name in the output file using content conversion

    Dear All,
    I want to have a text file with a header in the output. I have given the following values for content conversion:
    RecordSet structure = Record,Row
    Record.fieldSeparator='nl'
    Row.endSeparator='nl'
    Row.fieldSeparator=','
    Row.addHeaderLine=1
    but still I am not getting header in the output file. Please tell me where I am making a mistake in getting the header.
    Reg,
    NJ

    hi chirag,

  • Add Data Channel Headings to Output File

    I have seen several threads discussing how to get names on the column headers when outputting dynamic data to a file and thought I would give a simple example of how to do this.
    The example generates a Y=2X as 2 data flows and sends them to an X-Y graph and a text output file.
    It is necessary to convert the dynamic data to a waveform and use the waveform attribute VI to add the attribute named NI_ChannelName.
    The waveform is then converted back to dynamic data.
    This is the solution I worked out and would appreciate confirmation from more expert users if this is the best way.

    Hi Colin
    I've been taking a look at your VI today and just wondered if you could define what you mean by the 'best way'? Do you mean in terms of the speed of running the VI, memory allocation or another factor?
    If you could let me know, then I'll look into how best to optimise the VI. Looking forward to hearing back from you,
    Best Regards

  • Add header line to excel sheet when using FM RH_START_EXCEL_WITH_DATA

    Hi
    I'm using FM RH_START_EXCEL_WITH_DATA to download an internal table to EXCEL. But when excel is started it's without a header line.
    What I would like to do, is to take the field-names/field-text from the abap dictionary, and use them as the header line. How do I achieve this ?
