Add new action in toolbar of project document

Hello All,
I have checked the toolbar button Actions in Project document and it has only the following options:
Create Auction
Create agreement
Create RFx 
I've seen that when you use any of the previous actions for a Project, the new document created have the reference to the previous Project in the document link tab.
I want to create a new action type "Create Project" to create a new project with the reference of the previous Project, but the problem is that we don´t know how to add a new action.
Are you aware on how this could be done? What we have seen is how to create a “ToolbarScript”, but this is not exactly the same.

Thank you for the quick response, unfortunately I couldn’t use your suggestion due I need to create a new project with different “Project Type”,with the duplicate functionality the new Project is created with the same Project Type than the previous Project.
Is not possible create a similar customization like “Create RFx” for add the new action “Create Project” ?

    Pavan,
    My understanding is that the Actions tab is used to execute scripting.  Some of the scripting is embedded in the system, like Create RFx or Create Auction.  This you can not change easily. 
    If you want to add a new item to the Actions for Projects create a Script Definition with Script Type: Toolbar and Class: Project (1100).  Keep in mind that you will also have to have a functioning Script Definiton.

    What I do now is I have to create a new file (with new number of artboards) and cut & paste - is there another way to do this?

    File > Document Setup > "Edit Artboards" button (top, right)
    Before entering Edit Artboard mode though, draw boxes at the right size and at the right locations as your desired new artboards so you can snap to them. While in Edit Artboard, anything other drawing boxes will cause you to exit it.
    Tip: Alt+Left Click to convert a slected shape to an Artboard, while in Edit Artboard mode.
    EVEN EASIER:
    Draw out your new Artboards in normal mode, select them > Object > Artboards > Convert to Artboards.

    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    *Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • Add new system to an Existing project in Change Request in Solution Manager

    HI,
    Is it ok to add new systems and remove systems to an existing Project in Solution Manager with Change Request Management activated?
    Currently, Change request is already set-up in our solution landscape, however, a new BI Dev and QA systems were created to replace the old Dev and QA systems that was initially set-up in our Charm. Can you please share with me the steps that I need to do to successfully remove old Dev and QA from Charm and replace them with the new systems? Is it safe to do this in an open project and maintenance cycle?

  • How to add new actions in customization setting of user status ?

    Hii All
    I am tring to use user status for blocking the creation of new breakdown notification if one breakdown ntification is already pending on it. I want to set equipment under Breakdown status on equipment  when breakdown notification created on it, but when i check for setting the action in user status customization setting, cannot locate the create notification there action there & also cannot add the same in it.
    Can any body tell me how new action can be added there??

  • Can't add new page in the middle of document

    I am creating a manual and inserted page breaks at the end of each page as I created the document. Now I am trying to add a new page to the middle by inserting page breaks and even section breaks, but every time I try to add it in, it just goes to the bottom of the document and I am unable to move anything into the original 50 pages. Any tips here?
    When I look at the thumbnail view of the document it has all 50 pages in one yellow box instead of one page individually. A bit odd.

    The thumbnail browser shows one small page thumbnail for each page of your document. Each yellow bounding box indicates a section. So the thumbnail browser indicates your document has a single section with 50 pages in it.
    As you've typed your document it has naturally flowed from one page to the next. If you place a page break at the end of the page you are simply mandating what Pages has already voluntarily done. But if you insert a second page break you should get a new blank page. In other words, if you put your cursor at the bottom of page 6 and insert a page break you will move to the top of page 7 which has text because it is still page 7. Insert another page break and page 7 becomes page 8 and you'll have a blank page 7.
    Note: if you move your cursor into the middle of the document and insert a section break you'll see that the thumbnail browser shows two sections; one ending on the page above your cursor and one starting on the page your cursor is in. This is useful to understand.
    Second Note: if you use the Insert>Sections option it always inserts a new section at the bottom of the section your cursor occupies. Since your document currently has one section, that's why you wind up with the inserted page at the end of your document.

  • Can you add new Page layouts within an Indesign Document like you can in QuarkXpress using tabs

    I am slowly switching to Indesign from QuarkXpress but have encountered my first hurdle. I have grown up with QuarkXpress and want to change to Indesign. I work as a graphic designer and do large POS projects. These projects require many different size leaflets, posters etc but are all under one job/project. I currently use the tab system in QuarkXpress enabling multiple layouts in one file, I then can switch quickly to whatever layout i need to work on within that file. Is there a feature in Indesign which is similar to QuarkXpress as I find this a very valuable time saving feature. I am using Indesign CS 3.0.1

Hopefully someone with a better grasp of Bridge and Version Cue will come to your rescue. But it's obvious that there is a lot of work group functionality built in to CS.

    You can create New objects using the T.code: SE80.
    You can make an object link to SAP objects that are not shown in the possible entries list. To do this, proceed as follows:
    1. In the standard system, there are already two special screens for the module pools SAPLCV130 and SAPLCV140 for the linked SAP object.
    You must create two new screens with the same number for the module pools SAPLCV130 and SAPLCV140. The processing logic must follow that of screen 1204 in program SAPLVC130.
    2. Create function module OBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = object name) If the object can be classified, this function module already exists .
    Otherwise copy the function module for linking equipment DOCUMENT_CHECK_EQUI and change it as required for the new object.

  • Pages 5.0 won't let me add a new page to a 13 page document.

    Since updating to Pages 5.0, I have not been able to add anymore pages to a 13 page document I am working on for an art project. The document uses original photographs as a background and a text box over them for the text. In the "Insert" drop down box in the tool bar, everything is grayed out. The program will also not let me copy and paste any of the previous pages so I can't even add a new page that way. I've also just looked to see if there were any restrictions on the file on the "Get Info" menu from the Finder, it still had the file as anyone can read and write to the file, so it can't be that either. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, and if so, how they managed to work around it?

    Sorry to be "that guy", but i've done that without an issue, I can now add pages by copying previous ones, but now Pages 4.3 groups a new page which is blank, with page 13. It also adds a the copy of the last page below the two that get grouped together.  So basically, I end up with 2 copys of page 13, and the original.

    There are 2 very important points:
    1. Its bundled up with other stuff, so less work and easier to use than pressing each action individually
    2. Much easier for the intended users: someone unskilled in acrobat who just wants to press 1-2 buttons and be done with it.

    2. The server is a web service and the only thing it knows is how to dispatch requests in the form of XML to the appropriate API (E.g. Essbase) and return the results to the client as an xml stream.

    Can any one point me in the right direction on how to add a custom action to DefaultEditorKit? I just learned how to use the copy, paste, and cut actions and I would like to add my own custom actions. I know a few people on this forum have done it but i cant find much documentation. Thanks

    Thank you camickr for your response. Thats a good suggestion that you give for some instances. I should probably have explained more about why I wanted to extend DefaultEditorKit. The reason I want to extend DefaultEditorKit is so that I can add an action to insert an image. Then add that action to the edit menu like they do in [this example|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/generaltext.html] with the copy, paste, and cut.
    I already know how to add an image to a JTextPane but to have an action in a menu insert the image I would need to know which textpane in my program has the focus. I have allot of text panes in my program that will need this functionality so it looks really strange to put a button next to each one to insert an image. That is why I wanted to add this functionality to a menu but then keeping track of which text component has the focus is necessary. So then I got the idea to add it to an editor kit and then add that action to the edit menu. What do you think of this? Bad idea? Is there a better way?
    I never realized that I could look at the source for java classes online like that. I am a new to java and kinda new to actually using OO. I found the source for StyledEditorKit here http://www.java2s.com/Open-Source/Java-Document/JDK-Core/swing/javax/swing/text/StyledEditorKit.java.htm . Is that a the best place to look for JFC sources or is there a better sight to find sources?

    As you know approvals is internal SBO mechanism and you can't change its behaviour at metadata level.
    What i could suggest is to implement your own approvals for journal entries by yourself usin SDK.
    How it can be done:
    - add UDF to JE - that will store the status of JE (confirmed/redused)
    - implement using UI trigger on Add-action
    - refuse Add action in case of any specific condition and save JE as Journal Voucher + send message to user which has to confirm JE
    - implement some logic regarding UDF of JE (user1 and user 2 can confirm it, others can't, for example)
    - user can save Voucher as JE only if it is confirmed
    something like this..
