Add-on Products
Good day,
I had a question from my customer about manually changing the installation sources for the OES11/SLES11 CD/DVD combo disk.
Basically they do the installation from the CD/DVD, because of this they need to keep the CD/DVD in the drive when they are trying to perform any OES Configuration steps. They would like to know if the CD/DVD combo location can be adjusted manually so that they can copy the CD/DVD combo to another location so that they do not have to keep going back to that installation source. Here is their request below.
"Do you know of a way we can update the Add-On Products info from the command line and have it save, so that when we are ready to go into OES Config, we can do so without any disks needing to be in the drive."
Please let me know if there is additional information needed/requested.

If you truly want to change things via the command line (without perhaps
user intervention) then you can use the "zypper addrepo (ar)" command.
One thing you/your customer should note is that if you/they are using
the combined SLES11/OES11 DVD then you/they should not copy the combined
SLES11/OES11 ISO locally with the intention of pointing YaST at it
because it won't see the OES11 sub-directory within. Instead you/they
should copy the separate SLES11 (DVD1 only) and OES11 ISOs and add each
separately.

Since the New Product is already in MPOS what you need to do in your Data view is to go to "Selection Window" on the left side of the screen(make sure you dont click on the existing selection ids). Select Product at the top, the planning version will come in the next row and then you again select the Product as charateristic and enter the New product name against the Product(Characteristic) and then save it in case you want it to use for your future references. When you will double cilck on the newly made selection id you will be able to see you product with the keyfigure details in right side.

Add new product to already existing PPR ID through BAPI_PPR_MAINTAIN_40
Hi,
My requirement is to add new product to already existing PPR ID through the BAPI BAPI_PPR_MAINTAIN_40 but it is not working.
Normally at the time of creation we pass HANDLE and REF_HANDLE.
As in this case PPR ID already exist but adding new product, I am passing HANDLE and REF_GUID in place of REF_HANDLE.
INPUT_FIELDS also I am passing REF_GUID but it is not working.
Can anybody throw a light how this can be achieved to add new product through this BAPI?

Follow these steps inside SLD :
1. On the initial screen of the SAP System Landscape Directory, choose System
Landscape → Business Landscape.
2. Choose New Business System.
The system displays the screen Business System Wizard in a separate window.
3. Select SAP Business System, and then choose Next.
4. Select the technical system for the business system that you want to define.
The system displays a list of the clients that have been defined for this technical
system.
5. Select one of the clients, and then choose Next.
6. Select the products that are installed in this business system, and then choose Next.
7. Enter a name for the business system.
8 next and provide and the finish.

Why can't you add your product? What happens? Error messages? Are you sure you are entering the correct serial #?
As for your other question, it sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod Touch, which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. See this article to help you identify your iPod's generation.

1. Maintain Solution Manager information in the system’s SLD data supplier. In case of ABAP system using tcode RZ70 and incase of Java system using the Visual Administrator/NWA(for NW 7.3 onwards)àSLD data Supplier.
2. Once the data supplier jobs gets executed you system will appear under SMSY under Server, Database and (Technical System in case of Java systems).
The ‘Data Source’ should be LMDB.Note: Please don’t changes to the system in SMSY
3)Execute transaction code ‘LMDB’ in your solution manager system.Select Technical system(Give Application server ABAP and SID of the Server)
4)Click on Edit and select Software
Click ‘Add’ and it will show Product Version screen and search for your installed product.
5)Select your relevant usage types and once done choose ‘Close’ and save the data.
6)Assignment of Product System :
Click ‘Assign to Product System’
Now Product system does not exist, hence we have to create one. Choose ‘Create’ and confirm
7)After that complete Landscape Verification check..it should be green.
8)Go to Solman_setup and complete Managed system configuration.
after that Create Maintainence transaction and generate stack file.
Before doing all activities make sure that ST-PI and ST-A/PI Patched should be applied in Managed server(NW 7.4) and run rtcctoll.

or to summarise you insert the tag like this on the page to display a product using the product small backup layout:

First number is the catalog and second number is the product number. Then three commas and the word true will display the backup layout. -
ZXP fails validation when attempting to add a product
I'm attempting to add a plugin for Flash Pro, which was built in Extensions Builder 3.
When I upload the package I get the following error:
Your ZXP contains an invalid version range for one or more of its supported Adobe products
I'm not exactly sure where the problem is (in the manifest.xml or the mxi file), but if I knew that then potentially I could fix the issue.
The package is being built using the 'Export...' feature in Extension Builder.
The package can be downloaded from github here.I have created a custom packaging script for this ( as opposed to using the Extension Builder 3 packager).
By doing this I've been able to correct the details in the manifest / mxi files.
It now passes the automated check in the Add Ons producer portal, but has been rejected, the reason being that it doesn't show up for the Adobe testers in the UI.
It works for me when I install it, so I can't really work out what it wrong.
Please have a look at the ZXP here and tell me what could possibly be wrong with it.
Btw, it is a dual UI package which installs a flash UI in older versions (CS5 - CS6) and an html UI in newer version (CC 2013 - 2014).
The Flash CS5 - CS6 stuff is working fine, it's just the CC stuff that isn't working. -
I need to add people to my team to supervise and make sure files are ready. I don't think I should buy a full license for this purpose since they are only going to be viewing files.
