Add SC Item Detail View as an usage in my own WDA?Can you guide me?

As the title,I want to add SC detail view in my own WDA Viewcontainer.
And use the item GUID to control the data.
I tried to add the componet '/SAPSRM/WDC_UI_SC_OIF_CA' in the 'Used componet' and bind the 'IV_L_FPC_OIF_CA' in the view container.
But when I test it,it raise error--'Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible'.
Could we make it in SRM7.0?

Wow, the forum is totally leaving out my onlick events from the HTML code I posted. In edit mode, it's there. Viewing the reply (and the reply's source), it is not. I even tried spelling it wrong, but it just strips it right out.

I've gotten a Firefox update prompt twice now that I suspect could be malware. It never connects and the "view more information" link doesn't work. Can you advise?

It's a small window labeled "Software Update" with the Firefox logo. It reads:
It is strongly recommended that you apply this update for Firefox as soon as possible.
The link provided reads: View more information about this update.
The link is inactive and when I tried to update it searched and searched -- the phrase "connecting to . . ." was on-screen for long time, but nothing ever happened. I closed the window, then tried to learn more but the prompt didn't come back until today.

You are not running the latest version of Firefox so it may be a genuine prompt. Try downloading and installing the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/ then see if you still get the prompt.

Add item detail field into items overview table on ME2xN transactions

Hi all and happy new year !
We want to add an item detail field (manufacturer part number = MEPO1321-MFRPN) into items overview table
on ME21N, ME22N and ME23N transactions.
Does someone know if it's possible with a badi or other kind of exit ?

Hello Eric,
If you want to system to show Mfr Part Number you must not maintain the "MPN Profile" in materail master.
But if you are using a material with profile, you will only get these fields pooulated if you order the MPN material, and not the internal one. See also information in note 615722.

Fields in iView Item Details -create mode- are disabled

Hello,
we are using SAP MDM Standard iViews (Item Details) to create new data records.
In some iViews on specific tables - I coudn't find any logic - the fields are grey and disabled instead of white and ready for data entry after pressing button "create". Does anyone has an idea for this? All parameters are set to enable=yes. The tabels are stadnard flat tables. The Roles in MDM are allowing read/write on the fields.

I create(d) an iview of type Item Details on this table once -and it works! Then I created a similar iView and it didnt work - the fields are grey
From what i understood from your problem statement is that you are creating two item details iView refering to the same table say Products.
It means you are are trying to give provision to edit or create the same record through two separeate item detail iview.Or in other words when you select a single record from the result set iview it should display the details in both the item detail iview and also allow you to edit it.
I am not sure whether this requirement as you are using the same fields in two independent iviews and expect them to work concurrently.
I may be wrong but this could be one of the reason why when selecting the fields for modification in one item detail view it is showing greyed out in the other.

File Dialog (Details View and Multiple Selections for View File Type)

I would like to use the generic windows dialog box found in the toolbar under:
File I/O/Advanced File Functions/File Dialog
What I would like to do is have multiple selections for the file type, for example one menu selection is *.txt, another is *.rtf, another is *.csv, etc. Listing a single type is straightforward.
Also does anyone know if there is a way to have the dialog open in the DETAILS view automatically?

Hi,
You can do it in following ways:
1. Write in pattern input the string "*.txt; *.csv; *.rtf". This will show to the user only files with this extensions in the dialog.
2. Another way is to create ring or menu where user could specify the extension. Depending on this extension you could wire the appropriate string to the pattern input of "File Dialog.vi"
I have made an example.

"download" link in Detail View to open in new browser window?

How would I go about getting the image that opens, after clicking "download" in detail view on a photo page, to open in a new window. I would like to get back to the detail view by closing the window, as opposed to using the back button.

you need to change photos page's detail view widget's downloadPhoto function (in DetailView.js file), you can change it in several places:
1) inside iweb.app, you have to drill into iweb.app by control click on it and select Show Package Contents... to inside iWeb.app/Contents/Resources/Widgets/DetailView.iwdgt
2) inside your published site: <your site>/Scripts/Widgets/DetailView

Creating a form to Add List Item and to a Document Library

Hi, I'm super new to sharepoint , and have what is probably a newbie question.
I have a list and a document library. The documents are linked to the items in the list. (1 list item may have one or moe documents associated with it).
I need to create a form to add new list items that will at the same time upload documents to the document library.
Do I use infopath for that?

According to your description, when adding a new item to the current list, you might want to upload the attachments of this item to other Document Library as well.
As a workaround, you can create an Event Receiver to capture the event when there is “An item was added”. In the Event Receiver, we can write C# code to copy the attachments
from a list item to a Document Library.

You can pass the Delivery Order Number to the table LIPS (SD document: Delivery: Item data) in SE11 or SE16. This will give the Delivery Item Details.

Item Detail note Sync

Are there any fields in B1 OITM table which gets sync from Webtools items detail notes?
Home > Admin > Items > Item Detail > NOTES tab.
There are few fields which can be filled in for each item. We would like to maintain in B1 and sync it to Webtools. Is there any standard function available for this?

The remarks field ( OITM.UserText ) does synchronise from B1 to WT but as I have commented before it appends a new record in PartsNotes in Webtools each time it is updated in B1 effectively meaning that the updated text is not automatically displayed unless the item detail is updated to include reference to the new text / catalog combination.
I would still like to know whether this behaviour is intentional by design or whether it requires correction to perform an update only

How to enable detail view interactive report as default for public user?

I'm currently developing a search results page.
I'm trying to do a nice view instead of a default table like view from the interactive reports. So in this case i enabled the detail view so i could make fancy designs.
all worked well and looked neat but however when i pass value from my search page using IR_ROWFILTER and clear the results page using page_no,RIR, it brings me to the interactive reports result page with the default table like view.
i have to press the detail view to get it. i tried saving it as default but it wont work. this issue is for public user.
if i make the page requires authentication, and save the detail view as default i would not have any problem. i could search and it will straightly bring to the detail view of the search page.
of course the other reason i found is because im using the IR_ROWFILTER and clearing page using page_no,RIR..without it,it works well but i need it coz im doing a a search result. i need to send search text from another page and put it in the filter in the search page. i would need to use RIR to clear it for searching again.
is this a limitation for public user? it doesnt happened for authenticated user though..
how can i make this view as default for public user?

Do you really need this to be an IR? Other than the detail layout, do you require any of the interactive features? If not, try using a standard report with a custom report template.

Dropdown and data provider. I want to add an item to my dropdown

here my problem. I've a downdrop. It is binded to a data provider. It works fine, all the db rows are displayed.
Now I want to add an item to my downdrop, programmatically. This because, I need to put a new selection named "ALL" into the dropdown.
This item should be the first in the dropdown list selections.
I cant' work with an option array, because it is already binded to a data provider, so how can I add an item to my dropdown programmatically?
