Adding a Entrypoint String in NI_ParallelModel Data (Teststand 4.2)

Hi,
I am converting a 2012 Parallel model sequence into a Teststand 4.2 Parallel Model.
First issue I saw is the insert field in the Parameters('Pre UUT').Modeldata, is greyed out. Basically I would like to add the string "EntryPoint".
The  Parameters('Pre UUT').Modeldata is passed by reference, type is NI_ParallelModelData which is similar to 2012 parallel model.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Don

Hi Daniel,
I am downgrading existing 2012 Test exec with custom interface to 2009 equivalent version.
The custom interface in 2012 needs the Entrypoint field in the parameters.modeldata (type NI_ParallelModelData2)
In 2012, the custom interface is called at DoPreUUT, but in 2009, it does not use DoPreUUT, but I can give a try to mimic it.
Then in the parameters.modeldata it does not have entrypoint field.
Where is the menu for the migrating from 2012 process model to 2009 process model?
Thanks!

  • Sporadically getting error "string or binary data would be truncated" in SQL server 2008 while inserting in a Table Type object

    I am facing a strange SQL exception:-
    The code flow is like this:
    .Net 4.0 --> Entity Framework --> SQL 2008 ( StoredProc --> Function {Exception})
    In the SQL Table-Valued Function, I am selecting a column (nvarchar(50)) from an existing table and (after some filtration using inner joins and where clauses) inserting the values in a Table Type Object having a column (nvarchar(50))
    This flow was working fine in SQL 2008 but now all of sudden the Insert into @TableType is throwing  "string or binary data would be truncated"  exception.
    Insert Into @ObjTableType
    Select * From dbo.Table
    The max length of data in the source column is 24 but even then the insert statement into nvarchar temp column is failing.
    Moreover, the same issue started coming up few weeks back and I was unable to find the root cause, but back then it started working properly after few hours
    (issue reported at 10 AM EST and was automatically resolved post 8 PM EST). No refresh activity was performed on the database.
    This time however the issue is still coming up (even after 2 days) but is not coming up in every scenario. The data set, for which the error is thrown, is valid and every value in the function is fetched from existing tables.
    Due to its sporadic nature, I am unable to recreate it now :( , but still unable to determine why it started coming up or how can i prevent such things to happen again.
    It is difficult to even explain the weirdness of this bug but any help or guidance in finding the root cause will be very helpful.
    I also Tried by using nvarchar(max) in the table type object but it didn't work.
    Here is a code similar to the function which I am using:

    I have tried by converting the columns and also validated the input data set for any white spaces or special characters.
    For the same input data, it was working fine till yesterday but suddenly it started throwing the exception.

    Remember, the CTE isn't executing the SQL exactly in the order you read it as a human (don't get too picky about that statement, it's at least partly true enough to say it's partly true), nor are the line numbers or error messages easy to read: a mismatch
    in any of the joins along the way leading up to your insert could be the cause too.  I would suggest posting the table definition/DDL for:
    - PSMetadata, in particular PSRowID, but just post it all
    - tblProjectSur, in particularcolumns CSymbID and TblProjSurSurID
    - cSymbLookup, in particular column CSymbID
    - PSRow, in particular columns SampleRowID, PID,
    - PSAuser and PSUserSur, in particualr all the USERID and RowID columns
    - SurCSymbs, in particular colum SIDs
    Also, a diagnostic query along these lines, repeat for each of your tables, each of the columns used in joins leading up to your insert:
    Select count(asurv.sid) as count all
    , count(case when asurv.sid between 0 and 9999999999 then 1 else null end) as ctIsaNumber
    from SurvCsymb
    The sporadic nature would imply that the optimizer usually chooses one path to the data, but sometimes others, and the fact that it occurs during the insert could be irrelevant, any of the preceding joins could be the cause, not the data targeted to be inserted.

  • Why Win 7 64-bit pc says device added will sync momentarily, but no data has come from either my Win XPpro 32-bit pc nor either Android device (3 synced)?

    All 3 existing/currently-used devices (Win XP pro 32-bit laptop, and 2 Android phones) are on Firefox 30 (latest version) and sync just fine; NEW laptop (a Win 7 64-bit laptop, HP pro650) says added, "Will Sync Momentarily" but no data transferred... Not a single bookmark, nor my theme or other configuration(s).
    I realize, after finding hardware requirement, that 64-bit Win 7 allows Firefox to work fine and am using it right now (I downloaded v.30 Firefox as soon as I booted the brand new pc up today), it let me set up sync & everything, just never transferred any data...Almost impossibly time-consuming task to transfer the thousands of bookmarks & complete organization from my other laptop, and will not matter much if I cannot sync any new ones with it. I would hate to have to transfer everything into Chrome...
    Am I out of luck with this 64-bit unit to sync at all until Firefox supports it in the future?
    Same night...Later that evening:
    Well...Update Here: Tried Waterfox and it worked perfectly, got everything in from XP pro pc. SuperFast browsing too.
    Granted it is apparently a v.28, I think. Doesn't really matter to me. Now I'm going to try to import both Android bookmarks, etc. Will post my success or failure later.

    Hi D.Dao,
    In order to further investigate the issue on Firefox 30, could you please turn on logging:
    # Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
    # Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log

    What confused me is that it works fine with my previous laptop. I wonder if there is any patch in Crystal Report or SQL server that used to support certain functions but not support them anymore....
    Thanks

  • How to parse a string containing xml data

    Hi,
    Is it possible to parse a string containing xml data into a array list?
    my string contains xml data as <blood_group>
         <choice id ='1' value='A +ve'/>
         <choice id ='2' value='B +ve'/>
             <choice id ='3' value='O +ve'/>
    </blood_group>how can i get "value" into array list?

    There are lot of Java XML parsing API's available, e.g. JAXP, DOM4J, JXPath, etc.
    Of course you can also write it yourself. Look which methods the String API offers you, e.g. substring and *indexOf.

  • Converting part of the string to a date and subtract with sysdate.

    HINT! In order solve this you must know how the pnr is assembled. Study this:
    650323-5510, we only need the first six characters. They inform us about when the person (car owner) was born. In this case it is 23 Mars 1965. You have to use several oracle built-in-functions to solve this. Hint! Begin by converting part of the string to a date and subtract with sysdate.
    select to_char(to_date(cast(pnr,'YYMMDDMM'))) from car_owner;
    please what am i doing wrong. i need the result to be something like this
    Hans, Rosenboll, 59,6 years.

    Hi.
    The main problem here is you have only last two digits of year. That could be the problem in a couple of years from now, when somebody born after 2k would get in to your database. For now if we ignore this problem the right solution would be :
    <code>
    SELECT months_between(trunc(SYSDATE),
    to_date('19' || substr('650323-5510',
    1,
    6),
    'YYYYMMDD')) / 12 years_old
    FROM dual
    </code>
    Suppose you are expecting the age of the car owner as a result above code will give you that. One again notice the '19' I appended.
    Best regards.

  • Converting a java string to a date.

    I am working on extending an EO and I have a situation where I must convert a string to a date before passing it to a method. The string is in the format "DD-MON-YYYY". I am using the following code and get an error "incompatible types: found: java.util.Date, required: oracle.jbo.domain.Date". Here is the code I am using:
    try {
    SimpleDateFormat df=new SimpleDateFormat("DD-MON-YYYY");
    oracle.jbo.domain.Date expdate=df.parse(expendituredate);
    setExpenditureItemDate(expdate);
    catch (Exception err) {
    Any ideas why the code I am using is not working? Is there another way to do this?
    Mike

    The difference is that
    D Day in year
    d      Day in month
    Hence when you used 22-Feb-2007 with "DD-MMM-yyyy", it took 22 as the 22nd day of the year and overrided the month value giving you 22nd January :)
    Cheers

  • How to get a string "yyyyMMdd" into date like MM/dd/yyyy?.

    Hi
    How to get a string "yyyyMMdd" into date like MM/dd/yyyy?. i have used
    SimpleDateFormat.parse but it is giving long value. i want to disply the date
    like MM/dd/yyyy
    thank you

    Do you want the string rearranged or do you want to create an instance of some form of Date class?
    If you want to rearrange the string you could just do it yourself provided you know the date string is going to be of the format yyyyMMdd.
    something like this:
    String newDate = origStr.charAt(4) + origStr.charAt(5) + "/" + origStr.charAt(6) + origStr.charAt(7) + "/" ...etc.

    take care of 1 digit days/months. (ex 31-2 != 3-12). So if you have digits, you could use to_date(d||'.'||m||'.'||y,'DD.MM.YYYY)Message was edited by:

  • Extracting strings from binary data

    Hello,
    I am trying to extract string from a binary file.
    At the unix command line (sunos) I can just type;

    Is there a way in pl/sql to extract strings from binary data ? An equiv to strings on unix/linux ?

    Hi,
    If you do want to list the contents of a directory, there are other ways to do it. Here's a base implementation of a utility I wrote:
    create or replace and resolve java source named "Util" as
    import java.io.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import oracle.sql.*;
    import oracle.jdbc.driver.*;
    public class Util {
        public static void listFiles(String directory, oracle.sql.ARRAY[] names)

            String[] files = f.list(
                new FilenameFilter() {
                    public boolean accept(File dir, String name) {
                        // List all files
                        return true;
            Connection conn = new OracleDriver().defaultConnection();
            ArrayDescriptor descriptor = ArrayDescriptor.createDescriptor("VC_TAB_TYPE", conn);
            names[0] = new ARRAY(descriptor, conn, files);
            return;
    create or replace type vc_tab_type is table of varchar2(255);

    String[] AuthorString =     {"John Grisham","Agatha Christie","Nick Coleman","Scott Sinclair"};which is loaded into
    public void fillArrayList(){
         for(int a=0; a<AuthorString.length; a++) {
         AuthorList.add((String)AuthorString[a]);
                         }i then try and add to this using
    public void AddMember(){
         String temp = (String)AuthorField.getSelectedItem();
         for(int a=0; a>AuthorList.size(); a++) {
         String temp = (String)AuhtorList.get(a);
              AuthorString .addItem(temp);
          }can anyone see any problem with this, or am i doing it the completely wrong way

    Also, your "for" loop's test condition is backwards. It should use "less than":
    a < AuthorList.size()

  • Preventing select-string from adding additional undesired strings in the output file

    Hi friends
    in PS 4.0 i am trying to write a function which
    step1: export the list of all eventlogs ----> wevtutil el > "$home\documents\\loglist1.txt"
    step2: deleted the following two lines from loglist1.txt
    DebugChannel
    Microsoft-RMS-MSIPC
    ( the reeson of deleting these two lines is wevtutil cl command, can't clear these two evenlogs among approximately 1000 logs)
    in fact via select-string with -pattern -notmatch parameters, we select anything except these two line
    step3:  pastes the select-string contents into the same file ("$home\documents\loglist1.txt") or into new text file (for example
    "$home\documents\loglist2.txt")
    here is my code:
    function MycleareventsAll {
    cls
    Wevtutil el > "$home\documents\loglist1.txt"
    $mycontents = select-string "$home\documents\loglist1.txt" -pattern DebugChannel, Microsoft-RMS-MSIPC -NotMatch
    cd "$home\documents\"
    $mycontents | out-file loglist2.txt"
    # also i tried ---> $mycontents | set-content "loglist2.txt"# also i tried ---> $mycontents | set-content "loglist1.txt"
    but the problem is, in addition of deletion, unfortunatelly additional strings (filepath, filename, line number) are added into the final text file so wevtutil will fail clearing logs listed in text file.
    here is contents of the final text file
    C:\Users\Administrator\documents\loglist.txt:1:Analytic
    C:\Users\Administrator\documents\loglist.txt:2:Application
    C:\Users\Administrator\documents\loglist.txt:4:DirectShowFilterGraph
    but i need the contents be the same as original file without that two specific line:
    Analytic
    Application
    DirectShowFilterGraph
    i searched but i didn't find a way to prevent select-string cmdlet from adding these edditional strings
    (filepath, filename, line number) into output file while keeping the original contents.
    note: -quiet parameter is not what i want. it removes all contents & simply inserts a true or false.
    any help?

    don't forget that Guys here know the basics of security such as clearing event logs & ...
    how odd if you don't know this.
    clearing all events is useful in test environment for example when i ma teaching my students & need to see all newly created events & work on them
    Then you are teching your students how not to use an event log.  We use filters and queries to access event logs.  We also use event log CmdLets in PowerShell.  WEVTUTIL is ok but it does not marry wellwith PowerShell as you have seen.
    I have found very few people who are not certified in WIndows administration that know much about eventlogs when it should be a ver important part of administration.  PowerShell has mmade EL management much easier but few take the time to learn how
    to use the EL support in PowerShell.
    I see no point inclearing event logs.  It accomplishes nothing.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
    oh your are introducing me filters & queries in event viewer !! please stop Laughing me this way.
    your problem is you judge about people's knowledge & you persist on your absurd judgments.
    look at your sentence:
    "Then you are teaching your students how not to use an event log"
    where from you tell this? have you been present in my classes to see what i teach to my students?
    have you seen that i told to my students not to use event viewer?
    my goal of clearing events is related to myself. it's non of your businesses.
    people are not interested to here concurrent irrelevant advises from you like a grandmother. they are searching for a solution. their intent of doing tasks is not up to you.

  • Synch Error: String or binary data would be truncated.

    I kicked off an inital synch for WebTools 2007 (may also be an issue in 596) and I had 1 synch error for SBOPartner:
    String or binary data would be truncated.
    The statement has been terminated.

    I traced the sql log and found the problem was related to addresses. The synchid only allows 50 characters but my synchid was 51 characters (COMINF, Communication Infrastructure Corporation, S). Anyway, to fix I modified the table to allow 100 characters and reran the synch. I know an upgrade will set it back to 50 but at least it's working now.
    I tried to post this to support as a bug but I couldn't figure out how (as usual) or the authorization stuff changed so I figured I would post it here so hopefully the devs will see this and update the code.

    Thanks Shawn ... My version of Netpoint is 2007.0.620.0 and the synch manager is 2007.0.620.35247. I'm not sure what patch level this means I am on though.
