If pVal.EventType = et_FORM_ACTIVATE And pVal.FormTypeEx = "142" And FLAG = False Then
            oOrderForm = sbo_application.Forms.GetFormByTypeAndCount(pVal.FormType, pVal.FormTypeCount)
            Dim ii As Integer
            For ii = 0 To oOrderForm.Items.Count - 1
                If oOrderForm.Items.Item(ii).UniqueID = "MyBtnId" Then
                    FLAG = True
                End If
            Next ii
            If FLAG = False Then
                ADDBUTTON()
            End If
        End If
Thanks For the Suggestions..

  • Problem wiht added button on invoice form

    I have added a custom button on invoice form.
    Scenario 1:
    I open the invoice form then the custom button is added and the et_ITEM_PRESSED event on custom button in catched. All is ok!
    Scenario 2
    I open a custom form and after close it.
    After I open the invoice form then custom button is added but et_ITEM_PRESSED event on custom button in not catched!!
    Could somebody please help me?
    Thanks

    Hi Domenico,
    It could be that the custom form gets an exception and then no other events might be caught. Try and put try...catch clauses around all your code and show messages when an error is received. This might be the cause of the problem - an unhandled exception.
    Hope it helps,
    Adele

  • Adding Button to a form

    Hi
    I'm trying to add a new button to a form, here is my code:
            objForm = SBO_Application.Forms.GetForm("992", "1")
            objForm.Items.Add("btnHelp", BoFormItemTypes.it_BUTTON)
            btnHelp = objForm.Items.Item("btnHelp").Specific
            btnHelp.Caption = "Landed cost posting info."
            objForm.Items.Item("btnHelp").Width = 200
            objForm.Items.Item("btnHelp").Height = objForm.Items.Item("26").Height
            objForm.Items.Item("btnHelp").Top = objForm.Items.Item("26").Top
            objForm.Items.Item("btnHelp").Left = objForm.Items.Item("26").Left - 225
    But SAP is giving error, and all fields are filled with erronious characters like "ŏŎ20" etc.

  • Adding a Button to a Form

    I am brand-new to Oracle Forms, but have experience in VB and PL/SQL. Anyway, I have created a sample form based of a simple view. It will run client-server and I can also run it (recompiled) via Forms Server on my Solaris-based 9iAS Apps Server.
    When I go to add a simple button to the form, I see 12 identical buttons stacked up and acting as 1 large button. Same thing for any inerface item. What is going on?
    Using Forms 6i by the way.

    Check the number of records displayed in the datablock that you're adding the button to. It's probably set to 12.

  • Adding button for report on a form OR as a quicklist selection

    In order to make this easy for my sales guys, is there a way to add the option to run a custom shared analysis from a form (add an option button)?
    For example:
    When the sales rep creates an opportunity and adds product revenue to it, he will need to run a quote report to be sent to the customer. It would be very convenient to have the option to run the Quote immediately from the opportunities tab rather than having to navigate through the reports tab.

    Hello Alex
    Can you please send me the documentation to add a button on a form too?
    Is this also working with designer 2000?
    Is there also information in this document on implementing an sql script to the button?

  • Button Text on Form not Displaying

    The following was posted by PGMR1998 at 09:58am on Feb 22, 2008 (Pacific) but got no response:
    I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8, and I have added a button to reset the form fields. The button has some text on top, but the text on the button does not display until I click down on the button in the preview pane. How can I make the button text visible always? Thanks in advance for your support..
    I'm having the same problem with the submit button on a form in Acrobat 9 Pro Extended. No matter what I do, the button text does not display. Any ideas?

    What font are you using? What is the font color set to? What font size? Can you post a sample somewhere?
    You specify the label text for a button using the Options tab of the Button Properties dialog. Describe each of the settings on this page. In particular, you can have a different label for the Up, Down, and Rollover states.

  • How do i add a submit button to a form

    ho do i add a submit button to a form.

    Hi;
    If you are using the FormsCenral website to create a form it will have a submit button by default for the HTML (web) form and also by default it you are saving as PDF (there is an option to create a PDF without Submit, but by default it does submit to FormsCentral).
    If you are using the FormsCentral desktop application that is bundled with Acrobat XI you would have to sign into the service to create forms with Submit buttons.  You can also create a form without submit button in FormsCentral Desktop and then edit the form in Acrobat XI adding a submit button using your preferred submit method such as by email.
    Let me know if you need more information on either of these, it will be easier to assist knowing more about what you are using.
    Thanks,
    Josh
    PS - if this is a question about adding a submit button in Acrobat not related to FormsCentral your question would be best asked in http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat

  • Add button to PDF Form to save file to specific location

    I have a simple form that is completed daily by various supervisors. I have successfully added a button to the form to email the form which then sends the form to an email group. Now, I'm trying to add a second button to save the form to a network location. I'm looking for this to be a one-click type situation, where the button then saves the form to the specified folder on the network.
    Lets call our form "Form.pdf". I'd like the filename to be "Form - date - time.pdf" where date and time are fields on the form that are completed by the user. The location will always remain the same and will be a UNC path ie \\server\share\filename
    All users are using Acrobat X standard when completing the forms, will be connected to the network and will have permissions to write to the file share.
    This seems like it sohould be easy, but I cant figure out how to do it in Acrobat.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    It's only possible if you can install a script on the local machine of each
    user. For more info, see this tutorial:

  • Error while adding user after customizing form in 11gR2

    Hi Experts,
    I have worked on customizing my User view form. I followed steps as:
    Navigated to View user form--> clicked customize (top left) --> view --> source --> selected area --> clicked edit on popup box
    I made certain changes on labels names and added certain UDF's.
    Then without publishing that sandbox, i simply de-activated it and clicked on user link (identity console) to add a new user.
    While clicking on submit new user i got error:

    Has anybody faced this issue earlier? Please share your ideas..

    When you create a custom attribute (UDF) on an application instance form, it is created only in the backend, and is not available in the page for use on which you want it to be displayed. Try to display this field that is throwing error and regenerate your View.
    You UDF using different steps:
    login->identity url->users->go to create user->Include values for mandatory fields->click on customize->left(top)->View->Source->select area->edit->Click on 'Add Content' (on left top)->Data Component catalog->scroll down and select User VO->Refresh dialogue box->select the field and click 'Add'->on dropdown select 'ADF Input test w/label->close that window->Check if it added to create user form->save and close customization

  • Add Subform dynamically,on click of Button, in Interactive form generated by Adobe Document Services

    HI,
    I have an XDP file designed by Adobe Designer 7.1 with the following hierarchy of elements:
    -form1(root)
    --Button
    --tmpForm (subform - Repeat subform for each data entry )
    ---ST (Text)
    Now, this XDP file generates an Interactive PDF form with Reader Rights enabled by the Adobe Document Services.
    On click of button, the following javascript is executed on client side:
    var df = _tmpForm.addInstance(1);
    df.ST.rawValue = "HI" ;
    xfa.host.messageBox( "Instances" + tmpForm.all.length ) ;
    On clicking the button, i get the length of the instances of the subform and the size increases on each click, but no element is added "visibly" to the pdf.
    But when i try to do the same by saving the XDP file as Dynamic PDF form for Acrobat 8.0,and open it using Adobe Acrobat PRO 8.0, it works fine.
    My question is,I s it not possible to add subforms dynamically in PDF's generated by Adobe Document Services with Reader Rights enabled?
    Or, is there something that i am missing?
    Please guide.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Siddhartha

    Hi,
    you can't change the behavior of the save button in the browser nor in Reader/Acrobat.
    You can add a custom button within your form which calls a custom script from a folder level script using the browserForDoc method.
    The browseForDoc methos is the only one whcih can change the name in the saveAs dialog.
    Here's an example., you can run from Acrobat console.
    You need to combine it with the solution from the other thread to make it work with your form.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2266799#2266799%232266799
    var oRetn = app.browseForDoc({
        bSave: true,
        cFilenameInit: "MyForm.pdf",
        cFSInit: "",
    if (typeof oRetn !== "undefined") {
        this.saveAs({
            cFS: oRetn.cFS,
            cPath: oRetn.cPath,
            bPromptToOverwrite: false

    oItem.Height = oExistingItem.Width

  • Trying to re-add UPDATE and DELETE default buttons to a form

    I created a maintenance form by copying a form I use for inserting rows into a table. I deleted most of the form's default buttons.
    Now I'm trying to add the UPDATE and DELETE buttons to the cloned maintenance form, with no luck. When I look at the source
    for another maintenance form, the update button shows the following code:
    <INPUT TYPE="BUTTON" NAME="FORM_TEST1_MAINTENANCE.DEFAULT.UPDATE_TOP.01" VALUE="Update" onClick="if (validateWWVM281(this.form)) do_event(this.form,this.name,1,'ON_CLICK','');">
    The newly inserted UPDATE button's code is:
    <INPUT TYPE="BUTTON" NAME="FORM_TEST2_MAINTENANCE.DEFAULT.UPDATE_TOP.01" VALUE="Update" onClick=" do_event(this.form,this.name,1,'ON_CLICK','');">
    So...... I added the code "if (validateWWVM281(this.form))" (no quotes) to the button's ONCLICK area. The source code for the form now looks like this:
    <INPUT TYPE="BUTTON" NAME="FORM_TEST2_MAINTENANCE.DEFAULT.UPDATE_TOP.01" VALUE="Update" onClick="if (validateWWVM281(this.form)); do_event(this.form,this.name,1,'ON_CLICK','');">
    Note the semicolon after the IF statement.
    Bottom line.... if I wish to add a button to a form to replicate teh functions of a default button, how do I do this?

    In the PL/SQL Button Event Handler for UPDATE button select 'Update' and write the following code:
    doupdate;
    and for DELETE button select 'Delete' and write
    dodelete;
    You don't need any code in the OnClick for these buttons.
    Hope this helps.

  • Adding Buttons to a ScrollPane??

    Hello Swing people,
    I have had this problem now for quite some time and still have had no luck in getting it right. I am coding an ordering system and on this form is a Jtable displaying product details. Beside the Jtable are category buttons one after the other in a vertical line and there are 18 of them - meaning they cannot fit on the screen!! Therefore i want these buttons to be in some kind of scollpane or list so they can all be viewed.
    I thought this would be a simple matter of adding buttons to a scrollpane and then to the panel but this has proved not the case! Does anyone know how i could do this as i have been trying this for too long without the help of you geniuses???
    To give u an idea of what i was trying here is a snippet of my code:
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class junk2 extends JFrame{
         junk2()    {
         JPanel panel = new JPanel();
         panel.setLayout(new java.awt.GridLayout(0, 1) );
         JButton []button = new JButton[20];
         for(int i=0; i<button.length; i++) {
              button=new JButton(""+(i+1) );
              panel.add(button[i]);
         JScrollPane scroll = new JScrollPane(panel);
         getContentPane().add(scroll, java.awt.BorderLayout.CENTER);
         setSize(50, 100);
         setDefaultCloseOperation( EXIT_ON_CLOSE );
         public static void main(String []args) {
              new junk2().show();
    This code is fine and puts buttons in a vertical line but the buttons only have numbers on them from 1-20, i want the names of the buttons i have declared to be in here - therefore allowing the action performed on these buttons to be recognised and therefore work too! - anyone know how to get around this??
    Also the scrollpane with these buttons in apears in a whole new frame being that it is a small test program but does anyone know how to ensure the buttons appear in the scrollpane only and not in a new frame??
    all 25 dukes if someone can sort this long problem out!!!

    Hi guys thanks a lot for your replies, i compiled both of them and they are fine! the first reply is more what i am looking for but there is still a problem, i am finding it difficult to incorporate this piece of code into my order form class.
    Im trying to take out the current declarations of my JButtons and replace it with the code i was given (reply 1) and obviously keep my action performed methods there as they will be the same but cant seem to do this!
    If anyone can add in the code from reply 1 into my code below or at least help me i will give u the 25 dukes, taking into consideration i still want the form (panel) to be displayed as well as the panel or scrollpane containing the JButtons???
    Can u help - cheers in advance!!

  • Submit button in Interactive form WDA

    Hi All,
    I have created one WD ABAP interactive form using one BAPI. I have placed one Submit button on the form which is of type (webdynpro native). And i have defined on action in WD. But when I click on submit button the action is not trigerring. I tried even with Webdynpro Active x type but still no use.
    How can I link the button in form to action?
    With Regards,
    Ravi

    Ravi,
    There is onSubmit event in Web Dynpro where you can create your own method for data processing.
    If you have set displayType as native then you should be using Submit button from WD Native Library in Designer.
    Once you place the button on the form, check if following script is present in the click event of button in Script editor of Designer or not.
    // DO NOT MODIFY THE CODE BEYOND THIS POINT - SubmitToSAP.xfo
    ContainerFoundation_JS.SendMessageToContainer(event.target, "submit", "", "", "", "");
    // END OF DO NOT MODIFY
    Also check Control Type in Object Palette for the button. It should be Regular.
