Adding editable region tags moves my content in non-editable regions

I have a template based on a template (the first with my navigation, and the second is based on the first with a sidebar added). When I add an editable region to the second template, it moves my sidebar down to leave a gap between the nav bar and the top of the sidebar. On the second template I want to add editable regions to the content area and to the sidebar. Even if I don't add any content to the editable reagions and just place the editable regions tags, my sidebar still moves down. I have tried adding two seperate editable regions and also adding one large editable region covering the content area and sidebar and the sidebar moved both times. My content area is a div floated left and the sidebar is a div floated right.
I don't understand why anything is moving when I am only adding tags to make an area editable

Do you have a container that the two divs are in and if so, are you clearing the floats? It's hard to give an answer without seeing the problem page.

  • How can we change the field confirmed work of SAP PPM from edit to not edit mode ? I need it into non edit mode for time recording with ChaRM

    Hello everyone,
    Do someone meet this issue ? Do you know if it has a link with customization of ppm or customization of ITSM ?
    Many thanks in advance for your replies !

    It seems that I've solved this issue. To get it work:
    1. Select checkbox Time Recording and Travel Expenses via CATS for project type. Path: SPRO —> SAP Customizing Implementation Guide —> SAP Portfolio and Project Management —> Project Management —> Structure => Define Project Types
    2. Run/schedule a synchronization with the report DPR_CATS_CPR_TRANSF (Transfer of CATS Itemizations to Project Management Application).

    Hi Frank
    I am using Jdev 11.1, in that working with search component available under Regions catagory(ex: Search, saved Searches, Preferences, etc)
    when i drag that search component into my jspx page i got the fallowing tag
    <af:document id="d1" >
    <af:form id="f1" >
    <af:region value="#{bindings.searchview1.regionModel}" id="r1" styleClass="formatRegion" />
    </af:form>
    </af:document>
    and in the pageDef page the fallowing code...
    <executables>
    <variableIterator id="variables"/>
    <taskFlow id="searchview1"
    taskFlowId="/oracle/webcenter/search/controller/taskflows/searchResults.xml#search-view"
    activation="deferred"
    xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/binding"/>
    </executables>
    Now... this code is working fine but when i include the header page say... the fallowing
    *<jsp:include page="/jsp/header.jsp" flush="true"/>*
    My search component is appearing over my header(overlapping on header portion)
    the search results also appearing over header
    Now... if i use any container components say (table)
    <af:form id="f1" >
    <table><tr><td>
    <af:region value="#{bindings.searchview1.regionModel}" id="r1" styleClass="formatRegion" />
    </td></tr></table>
    </af:form>
    now... it is appearing fine(ie, after my header portion), but the search results appearing only half(to see the rest i have to scroll), even there is a space available

  • Can't Delete Non-Editable Region in Template?

    Well, I can in existing templates but if I create a new one from an existing page using "Save as Template", when I try to delete a non-editable region in the template, DW won't let me.  I don't know why.  Aaaargh!
    It's my understanding I should be able to edit anything in a template.  I've tried existing DW and restarting.  I've tried using other pages as a basis for the template.  Every template I create won't let me delete non-editable regions.  I'm highlighting the non-editable region and pressing the delete key.  I can't delete.

    burro_mail wrote:
    Not sure DW is doing what you describe...
    But I am certain you could remove the region in code view.
    Even if you are a WYSIWYG-er and not a big code-head, it should be pretty easy to remove the region markers and everything between them...
    Trust me, it is.  I'm wondering if the problem is associated with the fact that the source page that I saved as a template was based on a template?  I just noticed that this new template refers to another template.  I'm thinking that means the other template is controlling what I'm trying to do in the current template.
    That's it.  I just tried saving a template under a different name (still retaining the correct template file extension) but did not do the save as template.  Now I can completely edit that template.  So you if you save a page that is controled by a template, as a template, that new template is controlled by the previous template.
    I've got a headache now.

  • Setting Non-Editable property for selected Rows in jTable

    Hi,
    I want particular rows to be set non-editable within a jTable. For example. If I have seven rows as follows:
    1
    2 - (Non-editable)
    3
    4
    5 - (Non-editable)
    6
    7
    I want to set non-Editable property to the second & Fifth Rows(say) alone. Other Rows, I may edit.
    How can I do this?
    Thanks in adv.

    TableModel has method
    boolean isCellEditable(int rowIndex,
    int columnIndex)
    so you need to make your table model return false for these rows.

  • Opening Hyperlinked Cross-References in non-editable XtextEditor

    Hi,
    I have cross-references in my grammar definition and Xtext Editor creates Hyperlinks for the tokens corresponding to these cross-references. I have some references to elements in other resources. When I use CTRL-click on these tokens then the referenced resource is opened in Xtext Editor but the Xtext Editor is editable. I want to make it non-editable or read-only so that I do not modify these referred elements in other resources.
    I need to make XtextEditor non-editable only when I use Hyperlink to open elements present in other resources otherwise it should be editable.
    I would appreciate any help or suggestions in achieving this.
    Xtext Hyperlinking Reference:
    http://help.eclipse.org/kepler/index.jsp?topic=%2Forg.eclipse.xtext.doc%2Fcontents%2F120-heading-UI.html&cp=70_1_4_5&anchor=hyperlinking
    Thanks.

    I saw the entry in your issue tracker and what you are asking for is actually not the real description of your problem.
    Of course user-written models should be editable, no matter how I open them (either double clicking or through navigation). Anything else would be confusing.
    Your real problem is that models from your standard library are also opened in a writable editor. By default, Xtext will open models from the classpath in a read-only editor. So I suspect some faulty customization in your code base.

  • Cannot edit ID3 tags for newly added tracks

    I want to stress: this is for iTunes 10.5 b2 but I want to make sure this gets out there so this issue can be resolved sooner rather than later since it's somewhat ESSENTIAL for iTunes to actually function properly.
    But I upgraded to b2 from b1 today and now anytime I add any new mp3 files I cannot edit the ID3 tags - in fact I go to edit them and all the options are greyed out...
    Anything added PRIOR to the upgrade is editable it's just anything I add since the upgrade. I've tried restarting the app and it still is locked.
    Anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone else seen this?

    Since iTunes 10.5 is development release only and you as a developer agreed to not discuss it in accordance with your non-disclosure agreement, you should post the question over here -> http://www.developer.apple.com

  • CS6 - add non-editable region inside editable template region?

    I have the following in a template:
        <div class="main-content">
    <!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="main-content" -->
          <div class="content p7ehc-1"> <!-- from projectseven.com; don't change -->
            <h1 class="page-topper">Enter topic here</h1>
            <p>Enter content here</p>
          </div>
        <!-- TemplateEndEditable -->
       </div>
    Right now everything in main-content is editable. I'd like to add "Page last revised - " at the bottom of the page which would be non-editable. An editable date would follow.
    I already have a number of pages with content so any solution should not destroy the content of those pages. (If needed I'd be willing to manually add "Page last revised -" to each of those pages. However, I'd want this to be automatically added for any new pages that were based on the template.)
    I have tried putting "Page last revised -" in another div and making it non-editable but this creates other layout problems. I currently don't want to explore this option further.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    You could always drop a server-side include or even a Dreamweaver Library item into that editable region (the latter method is a poor second choice, though). Is that a reasonable solution?
    Failing that, manually adding Ben's code both to the existing child pages and the current template will definitely place that code into newly created child pages. The beauty of his suggestion is that it's self maintaining, meaning that the code will always show the proper date on each page.

  • Editable regions in templates. How do I edit the CSS in a new page from the template?

    I am new to Dreamweaver and Web design. I have made a template and have two editable regions they work fine. When I create a page from this template, I can't edit the CSS. What do I need to do to edit the div tags that are specific to the editable regions? Thank you, I appreciate any help I am just about to give up with templates.

  • What is a 'region tag'?

    We just upgraded to the first service pack for MDM 5.5, and I'm starting to write some Java to play with the repository.  There appears to be a CatalogData.Login method that let's you specify a min/max number of pooled connections - very handy!  However, there's an additional parameter called a 'region tag'.  Does anyone know what this is?
    The API documentation is woefully inadequate in this respect.  Calling a parameter a 'region tag', and then indicating in the documention that a region tag is the region tag to use for the repository isn't that useful.
    Specifying a blank region tag generates this exception:
    a2i.core.StringException: No matching region tag
         at a2i.common.CatalogData.LoadCatalogData(Unknown Source)
         at a2i.common.CatalogData.Login(Unknown Source)
         at com.xxx.dw.mdm.utils.ConnectionPool.getConnection(ConnectionPool.java:59)
    Error code: 0x80000001     at com.xxx.dw.mdm.utils.Test.run(Test.java:26)
         at com.xxx.dw.mdm.utils.Test.main(Test.java:21)
    Error message : No message for RC (0x80000001)
    So: what's a region tag?

    Hi Ken
    There are two language parameters which you can specify when working with the API:
    1)       The data language – this is defined in the CatalogData.Login() function via the LanguageString/RegionTag parameter.
    2)       The schema language – this is defined with the function CatalogData.SetCodeRegion(), and must  be called before CatalogData.Login(). If no schema language is defined, the schema language defaults to the data language.
    e.g. CatalogData.SetCodeRegion(“English [US]”)
    The implications of this are as follows:
    1)       The function GetName() of CMFieldInfo and CMTable info returns the data language name.
    2)       The new function GetCode() of CMFieldInfo and CMTableInfo returns the schema language name.
    3)       When referring to fields or tables by name, you MUST use the schema language name. For example, when adding field names to a ResultSetDefintion.
    ·         NB.  1)  The function CatalogData.Login() will fail with ReturnCode = 6 (BAD_DATA) if you set a schema language for which not all table and field names exist.
    ·         NB   2) You cannot call CatalogData.SetCodeRegion() after logging into the catalog.

  • Move the contents of old file into another  before writing in applcn srvr

    Hi Friends,
    As per the requirement I need to move the contents of the previous file into an archieve folder which is being created by the previous run of the program in the application server.
    After the old file has been moved I need to craete the new file in the directory.
    So at any time only one file should be present in the application server.
    All the previous files will be in the Archieve folder.
    Please suggest how can I move the contents of the privious file in the archieve directory.

    Hi Smriti,
    check this
    1) use the function module  'EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING' --- to gett the details of files n application dir
    eq.
    call function 'EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING'
        exporting
          dir_name               = p_file
        tables
          dir_list               = it_dir_list

        message id sy-msgid type sy-msgty number sy-msgno
                with sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
      endif.
    2) then use this code to archive
    open dataset w_file1 for output in text mode encoding default. "Open Backup File
      if sy-subrc <> 0.
        write: /1 ' error creating file with status - ', sy-subrc.
        exit.
      endif.
      open dataset w_dirname for input in text mode encoding default."Open Real File
      if sy-subrc <> 0.
        error_flag = 'X'.
        write: /1 ' error opening input file with status - ', sy-subrc.
        exit.
      endif.
    *" To read the input file into a internal table
      do.
        read dataset w_dirname into inrec_lpcfab.
        if sy-subrc <> 0.
          exit.
        else.
          if not inrec_lpcfab is initial.
            append inrec_lpcfab.
            transfer inrec_lpcfab to w_file1 length 180.
          endif.
        endif.
      enddo.
      close dataset w_dirname.

  • Content Area: Cannot edit/drill down to folders at the lowest level

    URGENT: Need your help.
    I am using Oracle Portal 3.0.6 (Production) installed on Win NT 4.0 Server with Oracle 8.1.7. I am working on hosting a website for my development group.
    I created a Content Area and associated it with a page style. Then I created numerous folders to meet the requirements of the various product teams working in my team. Under each folders, I created various sub-folders. Now I want to add items under each folder I created. Earlier, using the link "Edit Folder", I could do by clicking on the folder under which I wanted to create an item. Now when I click on the folder, it returns back the same page showing all the folders along with the icons meant for "Edit", "Add", "Delete", "Move" and "Copy". Nothing is happening and I am stuck here. It displays all the sub-folders with links upto 2-level, since I set the navigator property to the level 2. But I cannot navigate to the sub-folder created at the third level by clicking on the sub-folder link above it (at the 2-level) and add any items under the clicked folder.
    Only mistake I could think about was by mistake, I tried to delete a content area which was created for test purpose. There were folders created under this. But I attempted to delete the content area directly without deleting the folders underneath. I got an error saying ".... child records exist". Later while clicking on the tab "content area", I was getting the following error:
    An unexpected error ORA-06503: PL/SQL: Function returned without value occurred when executing action of the SITE datasource. (WWC-38130)
    (WWS-00000)
    Error:No data found (WWS-32101)
    ORA-1403: ORA-01403: no data found
    ORA-01403: no data found (WWC-36000)
    normal, successful completion (WWS-00000)
    All product teams already submitted the contents they want me to put on the folders but I am unable to resolve the above problem. Any help / pointer to the above issue will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Jay

    Hierarchy keys are set properly and "use for display" is checked.
    Dimension presentation hierarchies does not work only when I use particular two hierarchies togather in one report table. When each of hierarchies is displayed separately it works ok.

  • Editing non-editable regions as the webmaster

    I'm just learning to use Contribute, and I want to enable my client to edit some regions and not others (obviously). But I want to be able to edit the non-editable regions myself, in Dreamweaver. For example, I don't want them to be able to mess with the nav bar, but I do want to be able to specify which nav item is active when creating a new page. When I open a page based on a template and try to change those regions, it won't let me. Is there any way to make a region something I can edit, but my client can't? Thank you!

    In Contribute you can add/edit the contents inside the editable regions only. You can edit the contents of the non-editable region of the template using Dreamweaver.

  • Editing People tags in Photoshop Elements 11

    I just converted from Photoshop Elements 10 to 11.  I can't find how to edit my people tags in 11.  Is there away?  If so what is it?

    When you double click on a people stack, you can see that there is another switcher Faces<->People on the top left corner of the grid. You may switch to Faces view > right click > Assign as profile picture. The notes you added with People tags in previous versions are not brought upon conversion., unfortunately.
    Thanks

  • How to create transport to move table contents?

    Hello all:
        I updated some z table (added some data) but it did not create a transport so that I can move to QAS! Could someone please tell me the steps to move table contents to move to QAS i.e, how do I force to create a transport for this so that I can move the contents to QAS?
    Thanks.
    Mithun

    Check the below code ,if you maintain table maintaince for your ztable then select second radio button ,add your table name ( Bold).
    This will goto Sm30 and when you create entries ,when you click on save button this will ask transport request.
    I used to follow this program when ever transport request is required.
    REPORT  ztable_maintain .
