Adding field to repository structure leads to syntax error in webservice

Hello there,
I have added a field to a structure that is used as a parameter type in a customer function module which is part of a function group which is the endpoint of an enterprise service.
I would have expected the webservice where this structure is used to have been updated automatically. But no: When I check the service definition, I get an error message that the type is missing the new field. And sure enough, in the types tab of the service definition (in se80) the new field has not been added to the type (listed under "original types"! - which is kind of misleading, as obviously it is not identical to the repository type any longer).
I'm at a loss here - how can I update the service definition and publish a corrected wsdl file, which includes the added field in the type description? I have looked many places in se80 and soamanager and sproxy, but to no avail. Must I delete and re-create the entire enterprise service?
This is in SAP Netweaver 7.01 and no XI.

Anyway, when using the "check" button, a dialog pops up asking whether the service should be updated. (This seemed not to happen when I was using the "check" context menu entry, by the way, but I cannot now exactly reproduce the condition).

MAke sure there are no entries for application 03 in LBWQ, if you are using Queue delta update mode.
Make sure there are no entries for application 03 in Sm13, if you are using V3 unserialzied update mode.
You can do this by running collective run for applicaiton 03 in LBWE.
And also make sure there are no entries in RSA7 for DS 2LIS_03_BF.

Hi,
How do I make a new (added) field to the Catalog Item table in my SRM-MDM Repository showup in the Web UI?
I have added a field 'Interval' to the Catalog Item tabel in my Repository SRM_MDM_Catalog. This field is of type 'Measurment'.
After change I load the reporitory.
When I logon to Config UI for the above repository I do not find the added field as a selectable reporitory field. Only the standard (original) fields show up.
What do I have to dofor my newly added field to show up as selectable repository field in Config UI in order tospecify that it should be displayed in teh Search UI?

Dear colleagues,
the same issue solved just restarting all the JAVA components.
There is a SAP note "1028343 - Changes in the repository not reflected in Catalog UI" indicating just one of them but in our case it was not enough. We restarted all the JAVA components and it worked fine.

Adding fields from KOMK structure to screen painter.

i have created an Extra tab(like ADDITIONAL DATA B) using BADI, i have added fields from VBAP table, its working fine. But when i add fields from KOMK structure(KOMK-STCEG) only empty field is showing. Do i need to code something in PBO or PAI?

I assume that you have linked the field KOMK-STCEG using "Get from Dictionary" option from your above screenshot.
In PBO section, make sure to write the logic to update the value in the field. The logic which you would build, would be based on your requirement. For instance, you can use BELNR to check and its corresponding STCEG could be found in the structure KOMK.
But if the KOMK structure itself is not filled with any value, then there is some problem with your code. Try to check your BADI and its corresponding structures which would get updated at runtime and use them appropriately.

2LIS_02_ITM - Adding fields to communication structure - User exit

Hello,
I have read the weblog of Roberto Negro concerning the possibility of adding fields to the communication structure of an extractor.
In his article he talks about MCVBAK and so on and refers to enhancements MC10001, MC50001, MC60001.
I am trying to do the same with 2LIS_02_ITM.
The communication structures are MCEKKO and MCKPO.
Can someone explain how to proceed in order to locate the approporiate user exit ?

Adding field in substitution

Price Group (KONDA) field is not available in PCASUB structure. So i have added field with .APPEND structure.
But its not appearing in structure PCASUB where i will write the logic for prerequisites and substitution.
So i am unable to proceed further.
My requirement is based on Price Group, i have to display profit centres on sales order transactions.

I don't understand even after addition i.e. append structure you can not see the field in the table.
make sure you append it correctly.
e.g.
go to se11 and type table PCASUB
then go to append structure
create new with customise namespace.
add your fields there.

After adding field to Datasource not getting data for it

Hi All,
I have extended the datasource 2lis_11_VASCL and added three keyfig to it.
I have changed it accordingly in EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 (trans. data).
In RSA3 when i go to debug mode it is fetching correct data, But the problem is that when i check the data in the rsa3 using displaylist it is not showing newly added fields in the structure.
I have replicated the datasource to BW here i can see newly added fields.when i ran the delta update still it is not extracting anything for newly added fields.
I think my problem is in R/3 only coz it is not showing fields itself in rsa3 or rsa7.
Pls. help me out.

Hi,
In RSA3 after you display the list choose a record and selected Choose detail(CtrlshiftF3) and check.
Or from the menu select > settings > display variant > current and see if it is in the hidden list.

Unable to Find the enchanced fields in transfer structure.

Hi,
I need to add 4 fields for a dat asource which is already present through function module in Generic Extraction.
I had added the fields removed(unchecked the hide option) for those fields in extract structure in r/3.
I had replicated the datasource and i checked the fields in data source(Data source-->display --> Fields). Those fields are available in datasource. But iam unable to find those newly added fields in Transfer structure.
Kindly update me if i missed anything and why iam not able to find those fields .

Hi,
Try activating the datasource using the program RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL.
after executing the program, enter source system and datasource. also UNCHECK the option "only inactive objects"
check the transferrules after activating the datasource.

after the migration of transfer rules,activation of transfermation i am getting this error for two fields.

This is a common problem which we get after migrating to BI7 .
Do one thing copy the formula some where and delete the formula save it activate it . then create the formule once again .
save it and then activate it . You will not get syntax error any more .

Cannot transport from quality to production due to syntax error

Hi all,
I have modified the program in Development system in which i have added on field to the internal table structure. Internal table is declared in the top include of the program. Now the program is transported to the Quality server which ends with the error for top include as"Original object cannot be replaced". But when i check the top include in quality server, the field which i have added is available. Now for transporting to production server, it ends by syntax error saying "The data object ITAB does not have a component called <field>".
Please guide me for the above error.

If there are no syntax errors in quality, then where is that syntax error showing? It must be in production. It will be an inactive version in production that has the syntax error. Go into production, try to activate the program. Activation will fail because of the syntax error.
You get the syntax error because the defintion has not made it into P. If you transport the whole program, as R3TR PROG zprog, and have the correct flags set on import to overcome the message "Original object cannot be replaced", then your problem will be solved.

Beginner: Getting syntax error on WHERE clause in SELECT

I'm very new to php and mySQL. Am using DW master/detail to generate to basic code I need. One thing I need to do is modify a select statement in the master to include a WHERE clause to limit the selection to a particular value in one field.
I'm getting a syntax error with the WHERE clause I'm adding to the map select statement.
This is the portion of the error message showing the error location:
'WHERE Group='Community' LIMIT 0, 10'
The php that generated the select is:
$query_maps = "SELECT * FROM tblmaps ORDER BY tblmaps.DispSeq";
$query_limit_maps = sprintf("%s WHERE Group='%s' LIMIT %d, %d", $query_maps, $selectGroup, $startRow_maps, $maxRows_maps);
This approach to creating the select statement is from the code generated for the master page. It adds the LIMIT clause. All I did was add the "WHERE Group='%s' and the $selectGroup variable which comes from earlier code. You can see that the $selectGroup variable is equal to the "Community: group.
I've scanned the web to see what syntax error I might be making but haven't found anything that explains it.
The full resolved select statement is:
SELECT * FROM tblmaps ORDER BY tblmaps.DispSeq WHERE Group='Community' LIMIT 0,10
What am I not seeing?

Here's the error message I'm getting:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Group='Community' ORDER BY tblmaps.DispSeq LIMIT 0, 10' at line 1
The full select (from a debugging ECHO I inserted) is:
SELECT * FROM tblmaps WHERE Group='Community' ORDER BY tblmaps.DispSeq LIMIT 0, 10
Note that when I take the WHERE clause out, there is no syntax error.

Numbers, Formel-Editor division creates syntax-error

Good morning everyone. Am sorry, but I face a problem in Numbers that is beyond my ability to grasp: Using Number ´08 Version 1.0.3 I created a rather vast Datasheet from A1 to BU368 The data in this sheet is derived from aprox fourty different sheets. The data is numeric.
Now I would like create the simple formula eg.: Q362/P362. Using the Formula-edtior and doing the up to now always working procedure: Open Formula-editor, clicking Q363 then adding a / then clicking P362 creates an "Syntax error"
If I do the same by manually writing: Q362/P362 into the formula-editor, it works. Until I have the idea to chage the format of the collum from "automatic" to "numbers" then the formula has a syntaxerror as well.
Now, what is the difference between the two formulas below? I can´t find any.

The latter one works.
Please help me, I should have handed in this sheet by today and there is quite some money involved for me.

I don't have Numbers '08, so the version I have may behave differently, but I have a few observations that may be useful to you or another helper.
Your procedure does seem correct and should work.
The formula editor would be much easier to read if you turned off the preference to “Use header cell names as references.”
The example with the syntax error does not highlight anything, so it isn't seeing any cell references (which it should if you entered them by clicking the cells). It is just trying to divide two strings.
There are single quotes and spaces in both the working and non-working examples that I don't see the reason for. Maybe it's a localization thing.
Since you are on a deadline, wouldn't it work to copy the working formula and paste it into the cell with the non-working one?

main issue is suddenly new field called RKE_COPA_KOSTL has been added to the BBESG Structure..
Because of this RFBIBL00 Upload is not working. I heard that this new fields will come by generating Operating Concerns by Transaction KEA0.I found an operating concern which was created as a test in developemt system..
But I am not sure how to delete that operating concern.Even i am not sure if we delete the Operating Concern ..is it going to delete that field in BBESG Structure or not??

Adding form fields breaks tag structure

I have been teaching workshops at my university on creating accessible PDF forms from MS Word. I am very familiar with PDF accessibility. For the most part, the process of field recognition, marking up tables, writing tooltips, manipulating the tag tree, etc., all goes smoothly. I have noticed something that is creating a lot more work for our people, however.
After adding forms to the tagged PDF using recognition and the Tools > Forms > Add New Field tool, we adjust the field tab order and add tooltips. Once all of that is in place and we are ready to fine tune, we click the Tools > Accessibility > Add Form Fields to Tags button. Adding Form Fields to Tags does not work consistently if you edit the tag structure manually while in the Forms creation process. You can do some tag remediation prior to entering the Forms tool, but if you edit the tag structure while in Forms, the Adding Form Fields to Tags often does nothing -- this is certainly a bug in Acrobat X but it is not hard to work around.
The larger problem is that after we click Add Form Fields to Tags button, the tag structure reveals itself to be very much distorted and extreme amounts of tag structure remediation is required. Here are three screen shots that illustrate the point.

Below is the expanded tags tree, prior to adding fields to the tag structure:
The tag structure is clean and elegant. If I were to publish this, no remediation would be necessary.
And here is the tag structure after adding form fields:
What has happened is Acrobat has grabbed recognized form fields and other elements in the document and has jammed them into the tag structure. Other things are affected as well. For example, headings in the page have extra, redundant textruns in them.
This has radically negatively affected the tag structure, requiring the author to do lots of remediation.
Any recommendations? solutions? similar experiences?
It seems obvious to me that this is a flaw in Acrobat that needs to be addressed, if accessibility is a goal. Or perhaps I'm doing something wrong??

Nope. No answer and nothing from Adobe.
I know something is going really really wrong, too: We have a product called CommonLook. It's an enterprise-level PDF accessibility remediation tool. It works well in fixing most structural problems in PDF through a relatively easy to use interface--you just drag textruns and elements around. It also has some tools that automate cleanup for accessibility.
I have no problem using this tool 99% of the time, but when I use it on forms I have made in Acrobat, the CommonLook plugin hangs when I try to save the PDF. It identifies a "structural error" in the PDF and crashes, leaving the PDF unchanged.
You can change the PDF in Acrobat by spending time moving around and creating new elements and deleting extra textruns and such, but, wow, what a royal pain in the *** that is!
Since no one is from Adobe is responding, I'm going to file a bug report.

Adding a new field in extract structure

Want to include New field in the Extract Structure in the Standard Extractor.

if the data soource is belongs to LO extraction
Option 1- Enhance in LBWE
1. check in LBWE- Maintenance -> check if your required field is available in pool (right hand side).
2. If it is available then send it to left hand side.
3. Save and you will find the new field as part of your extract structure.
4. In LBWE go to datasource maintenance and uncheck the Hide check box for newly added fields and Save the data source.
5. No need to write user exit code for these fields.
after this replicate the data source
and activate the transfer rules using RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL

Sample code for a custom field added to LIS Communication structure for Del

We appended a new custome field into extraction structure of the LO Cookpit datasource 2LIS_02_ITM through RSA6. And then run CMOD to write the exit code to populate the value and it works fine. But after we read Roberto's Weblog:

Find the enhancement we did can't make the Delta mechanism works if only this new field gets changed in a record, and the change cannot be reflected on BW. I know we can run SMOD on the enhancement LEINS001 to write the code for LIS Communication structure customer exit. But we have never writen such a code for LIS Communication Structure enhancement and also don't know on how to make the Delta mechanism works in the code. We would be very appreciated if some expert here can provide the sample code!

The compile of the above code works fine and we activated everywhere including project level. Then we set debug points in this code, and run RSA3 on 2LIS_02_ITM, but find the extraction program never reaches this code or call this user exit function EXIT_SAPLEINS_001 of this enhancement LEINS001. Any reason?
