Adding multiple subreports from the same file to the same report

I've created a report. This reports needs to have a number of charts. Each chart is the same report with different values for parameters.
The code works, except all charts reflect the parameter value provided to last call to SetParameterValue. How can I make sure each subreport behaves as a separate instance?

Hi Brian,
The parameter collection is global, so if you set it for one it's going to be set for all. You need to manage the subreport links, which holds the parameters.
Or when you add the subreport you also need to add a parameter with a new name and set the value accordingly in the Parameter collection.
Sorry i don't have any sample code for this work flow.

Hello - I am generating a standard report template that will be applied to all of my accounts and I am connecting to an Access DB that has multiple tables. Each table corresponds to a single Subreport within my Mainreport and contains the data for all of the accounts. Essentially I would like to be able to write some logic in the Formula section of my Mainreport whereby I can control which account to run the report for based on the Account Name. I am having sucess with this method when I change the parameters of the formula in each subreport, but how do I modify my code to allow me to control this from the mainreport. An example of a formula is below. // Account AAA//{Subreport1.Account } = "AAA" and {Subreport2.Account } = "AAA" and {Subreport3.Account } = "AAA" and {Subreport4.Account } = "AAA"// Account BBB//{Subreport1.Account } = "BBB" and {Subreport2.Account } = "BBB" and {Subreport3.Account } = "BBB" and {Subreport4.Account } = "BBB"// Account CCC//{Subreport1.Account } = "CCC" and {Subreport2.Account } = "CCC" and {Subreport3.Account } = "CCC" and {Subreport4.Account } = "CCC" Essentially, I am looking to just uncomment the particular Account I would like to produce the report for and have that filter down to all the subreports. How do i Modify the logic? Is there a better way to approach this?

Thanks for all the responses..... Just to clarify, I am essentially trying to control the record selection of each subreport with a forumula in the mainreport. To this end I am trying to avoid having to modify the formula in each subreport to change accounts each time i need to run a set of reports. I am still not having any luck modifying the subreport links as mentioned above. The only way I have been able to control the data is with formulas in each subreport. If anyone has accomplished what I am attempting, could you post an actual formula from both the subreports and mainreport so I can try to mirror them. Also, if anyone can point me to an example where I can integrate a dialog box to automatically control the record selection (as mentioned above), that would be great. Thanks,Mike

List down all subreports in the main report

I am developing reports in Crystal XI R2. I am working on the listing all the subreport names in the main report. I tried to use Filename function but it is not showing any report name even in the subreport itself.
Is it possible with any work around? Please help.

Do you mean you want to have a hyper link of all the subreports from the main report.

You can just do like this insert->subreport->select the report name and place it whereever you want. You can select many reports like this.

How would I go about adding multiple rectangles using the same lines of code? I would prefer to just run through a set of code every time I need a polygon. If I just have to create multiple polygon adding statements that's fine but I'd prefer just 1.

You could create a method that creates and returns x number of Rectangle elements:
public IEnumerable<Rectangle> CreateRectangles(int numberOfRectsToCreate)
for (int i = 0; i < numberOfRectsToCreate; ++i)
Rectangle rect = new Rectangle();
rect.Fill = Brushes.Blue;
rect.Width = 100;
rect.Height = 100;
yield return rect;
..and then call this method from anywhere in your code:
IEnumerable<Rectangle> rects = CreateRectangles(5);
foreach (Rectangle rect in rects)
//add to StackPanel or do whatever with the Rectangle elements:

When adding Point objects to a Polygon you can only add one per call to the Add method but you could call the Add method inside a loop, e.g:
for(int i = 0; i < 10; ++i)
//add to StackPanel or do whatever with the Rectangle elements:
Polygon p = new Polygon();
p.Points.Add(new Point());

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do. I have this working with a .JSON file that loads "multiple" date into "multiple" fields in Edge - Is that what you mean?
Here's an example:

How to select multiple values from the Parameters defined in the concurrent program...and i believe multiple selection is not a direct feature of EBS, but is there any workaround solution to acheive mulitple selection?

I think there's no way to do that using standard feature.
Some workaround I use :
1. If the number of selections are fixed, you could use multiple parameters for the same valueset. For example :
Selection1 : <choose first selection>
Selection2: <choose 2nd selection>
..etc.
If you don't use it then leave it empty.
2. Use text varchar valueset and enter it manually and separate by comma (or other value) , eg : selection1,selection2,selection3....etc.

Data Passing from a Subreport to the Main Report

I want to get the data from the subreport and then further manipulate it in the main report, and I do not want the subreport shown on the main report. I tried suppressing/hiding the section where the subreport is placed as well as suppressing the subreport itself. The formula values on the main report become null when I do this though. Lets say the item that i selected from the list is 'Xplace' and I clicked on the Select District button,
what I got is this error message:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to convert string 'Xplace' to class java.util.Vector for attribute usrTDistrict: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager

These are just guesses that might hopefully steer you in directions you haven't looked in yet.
I presume you used triangle brackets (< >) to avoid having the Jive Forum think it was the "italics" tag?
Are you certain this: dbaseInfo.getcurrentDistrictID(nstate,vselectedDistrict);
expects a Vector as its second parameter? And returns a Vector?
I don't believe you've shown how you use the javabean, or its code? Perhaps it should be rewritten to accept an array of strings instead of a Vector?

NO in FM9. Take SQUIDDS TOOLBOX the free tool: 'Formats'
'Formats' is a very helpful tool for 'deleting' paragraph formats, character formats, cross reference formats, table formats, color definitions and variables.
You can delete unused one or all formats of selected. For paragraph and character you can also decide to 'add new one in catalog'.

Yes, once you select a person from your Contacts app, you either need to select more from the '+' button or you can tap in the 'to:' field and type in the first few letters of a contact and select from the list. Kinda bummer but gotta make do.

Iam able to get the results when I am selecting one value..
and also I am able to handle multiple values the in the query by using IN :Parameter, but seems when we select more than one value from the parameter drop down i think the Bi Publisher is sending the values in concatenated form something ilke
ex: "'ACCOUNT','HR','SALES'" ,and when trying to display the parameters values in the output, its throwing the error as 'missing right paranthesis' ....on the whole do you have any solution which would handle
1.Single selection.
2.Multiple selection.
3.'ALL' Values.
4.Separating the concatenated string into individual strings and dispaly them on the output of the report..etc..in case of Mulitple selection.
Ex:
Concatenated String from BI Publisher:"'ACCOUNT','HR','SALES'"
Expected Output on the report:ACCOUNT,HR,SALES

My question/problem is how to manage this scenario.
I am transfering 2 shared variables (pereiod from /period To, ) from the main report to a subreport and now i would like to get data in this subreport based on these 2 variables...
The problem is that i can not find the shared one in select expert icon...
Could anyone point me to solve this issue?

[Photoshop CC 2014] Click&hold-move-release doesn't work when adding adjustment layer from the layer panel

When selecting a menu item I used to click the left mouse button and hold it down, move the pointer to the desired menu item and release the mouse button. Everything works fine in the mine menu, but there's a problem when adding new adjustment layer from the layer panel: when I release the button nothing happens, I have to press the button again. In previous PS version it worked fine. How can I fix this?

I don't think that is user fixable, meaning you'll have to wait till adobe fixes it with an update.

How do I restore a chart I deleted from the Summary Report?

I inadvertently deleted a question from the Summary Report by clicking the little trash can icon and I'd like to get it back. To clarify: the question is still there on the form; I'm just looking to restore the chart on the report.

Nope. Macjack's suggestion didn't worked - it's what I tried before coming here.
I realise I could simply recreate the Smart Search folder, but as indicated - I'm having difficulty recreating the exact same results - it had several conditions to it, and I'm not having much luck with repeating the effect. If nothing comes up - I'll have no choice - but still hoping someone knows of a plain and simple option....
