Adding a button to the toolbar

I am having some trouble with a custom toolbar button. I add the button in a Reader plug-in with no problems:

However, if a user has customized the toolbar eg. with e-mail and search buttons, my custom button only shows up in the first instance of Reader. If the user opens a second PDF document, the button is not visible in the new Reader window.
I have tried removing the button and adding it again, but this results in two buttons in the first instance and a single button in the second instance.
Should I add the button in another way to solve this? Using a javascript file perhaps? I have experimented with a trusted function in a .js file, but I could not figure it out - nor find a fitting example.

1. create GUI status with "Status" name and "Short text"
2. Now a screen will appear with the following,
   a. Menu Bar
   b. Application tool bar
   c. Function keys
3. Click the down arrow near the application toolbar
4. Enter the function code like SAVE, EXIT, etc., You
   can also give ur own meaningful naming convention .
   For example ( ZTEST)
5. Now press enter, it will ask for "Static text" or "Dynamic Text". Choose Static text and press enter
6. Now it will ask for function text and Icon name. Specify some function text ( what it does ) and Icon name u want to attach.
7. Press enter. It will ask for function keys. Specify a function key and press enter.
8. Now u can handle this function code (ZTEST) either in PBO/PAI like IF FUNCTION = ZTEST ...ENDIF
Note:
Don't forget to set the GUI status u have created in PBO event.
Example code to set PF status.
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE liste_initialisieren.
MODULE setstatus_0100.
   LOOP AT extract WITH CONTROL
   tctrl_ztufi_league CURSOR nextline.
    MODULE liste_show_liste.
ENDLOOP.
In the above MODULE setstatus_0100 do the following,
SET PF-STATUS 'ZGUI'. ( The GUI status u have created).

How do I delete a toolbar that was added by a plugin? Plug-in's been uninstalled, but the toolbar is still there and any new tabs open on their search engine (even though I have Tab Mix set to open tabs on a duplicate page). Help?

Running Firefox on Windows XP3. I installed a plugin from Savevid.com, which they now require. (I've used that site for at least a year with no problem ever.) Everything was fine but it added a toolbar to my browser, and it seems to have reset Firefox somehow so that any new tab opens on "Searchqu", some low-rent search engine. I uninstalled the plug-in altogether, but the toolbar is still there, and I can't make the reset on the search engine go away. I use Tab Mix Plus (also never had this problem before with it), but no matter what I do, the tabs will not open to anything other than searchqu. (Tab Mix has the option to open to a duplicate tab - what it was using BEFORE all this - but changing that no longer has any effect.)
Anyone know how to deal with a problem like this?

ALV grid control, Adding the push Button in the Toolbar

Hello All,
I am facing a problem when trying to do calculation based on the button added at the toolbar of interactive ALV list.
When I click on the toolbar button Compute, the ALV should calculate the
multiplication of the Qty (manually entered by a user) & price per unit already available in the ALV & show it the Column Total value.
Presently when I try to do this using
Method handle_user_command.
   modifying the inetrnal table GT_FINAL_OUTPUT
   with the Total price value .
   & updating the column Total price (Qty * price) in the Internal table
After doing this I am agin calling the below function
    CALL METHOD g_grid->set_table_for_first_display
    EXPORTING
    i_structure_name = 'GT_FINAL_OUTPUT'
    is_layout = gs_layout
    CHANGING
    it_fieldcatalog = gt_fieldcat
     it_outtab = GT_FINAL_OUTPUT[].
At above function it gives short dump or sometimes it does not update the ALV screen with the new updated value of Total price .
The short dump comes states the error of unassigned field symbol.
Kindly suggest a program where we can do manipulation at the editable ALV.

You should only be calling the SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY one time in the PBO of your screen, otherwise you should be using the REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY method. IN your PBO, check that the instance of the alv_container is alive, if so, do not call the SET method, rather call the REFRESH method.
if alv_container is initial.
    create object......
    create object g_grid.....
    call method g_grid->set_table_for_first_display......
else.
call method   g_grid->refresh_table_display( ).
endif.

I downloaded Macfee security and parental control. The settings have gone back to basic settings but if I try to customise the toolbar by add the "home" icon or adding "contact" to bookmarks until I close and when I open they are gone. Any ideas

If you have any commercially advertised/available antivirus software installed on your Mac, completely uninstall this per the instructions on the AV developer's website.
Antivirus software can slow down the normal operation of OS X and can negatively affect OS X performance and operation.
Do you have apps like MacKeeper or any other maintenance apps like CleanMyMac 1 or 2, TuneUpMyMac or anything like these apps, installed on your Mac? These types of apps, while they appear to be helpful, can do too good a job of data "cleanup" causing the potential to do serious data corruption or data deletion and render a perfectly running OS completely dead and useless leaving you with a frozen, non-functional Mac.
Plus, these type of apps aren't really necessary. They really aren't.
There are manual methods to clear off unnecessary data off of your Mac that are safer and you have complete control over your Mac and not just leave a piece of auto cleaning software in charge of clearing off data off of your Mac.
Their potential of causing OS X issues outweighs the implied good and benefits these types of hard drive or memory "cleaning" apps are written to do.
Plus, the software companies that write these apps make it hard to easily uninstall these apps if something DOES go wrong and these apps work in a way where you have no recovery or revert function to return your Mac back to its former, working state in the event something does go wrong.
It is best to never, EVER download and install these types of apps.
The risk to your system and data is too great a risk!
Search the web to learn how to correctly and properly uninstall these kinds of apps.
They all uninstall differently.

Adding a Print Icon to the Toolbar

I'm working on a online help for my company's product. I
would like to add a printer icon to the toolbar in my online help
so that users can click the icon to print instead of using the
browser's print. Is it possible to do this? If so, how?

Not doubting Colum's advice here, but if that fails to work,
try grabbing a copy of my Skinny on Skins from my web site (site is

My reason for possible doubt is that I recall it's not as
simple as just adding a print command as the toolbar action when
clicked by the user. Yeah, it printed, but printed the frame the
toolbar icon is in. You have to target the frame the topic is in.
Unless, of course, your goal is to print the toolbar. In that case
you should be fine.

I added a theme, but it only appears in the toolbar, not the entire screen (new tab page). How can i get the entire theme to show (fullecreen)?

my theme is only showing behind the toolbar (tabs, search bars,etc.) when i go to the "Mozilla Firefox start page", my theme is still only in the toolbar, and the rest of the page is white. My theme is also only showing such small pieces of the theme chosen that most of the time you cant even tell that it is a fox in the corner. Is there a way for me to make my theme appear across the full screen?

ok, since you are saying that my theme is a lightweight theme, are there "heavy weight themes" that would also theme the 'content' areas?

Adding Page Display options to the Toolbar (Tool Sets)

I'm not seeing how to add page displays to the Tool Sets. Is there a way to do this?

The easiest way is to right-click (or Control-click) on the toolbar, and choose the tools from the menus shown below:

If Firefox was able to load and activate the Roboform extension, then you should be able to turn on the toolbar using one of these methods:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar, then click on Roboform
* right-click the "+" button on the tab bar, then click on Roboform
* "3-bar" menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars > Roboform
* (classic menu bar) View menu > Toolbars > Roboform
If Roboform does not appear on the available toolbar list, could you check to confirm that it is enabled on the Add-ons page? Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. In the list on the right, the disabled extensions are at the bottom of the list.

Half of my bookmark toolbar bookmarks are gone and it will not let me add them back. It is as if that half of the toolbar is restricted from adding anything.

Can the Menu Bar be placed under the Toolbar like in previous versions of Firefox?

Had to reset Firefox browser today which automatically update to latest version, 32.0.3 . When I added the Menu Bar back on the Startpage it (by default) placed it above the Tab/Toolbar. I originally had it just below the Toolbar, and would like to place it back in that position. I already tried to move it by the "Customize" button, but it does not allow the user to move it there.

How can I create a box in the toolbar to dispaly cursor coordinates

I would like to create a box in the acrobat toolbar to display cursor position coordinates relative to a user specified origin. How can this box be created and added to the toolbar? I'm just getting started with writing acrobat plugins.

I have chosen a persona, but when I start up Firefox, Mozilla start page with Google shows, and persona is just barely visible only in the toolbar area. How do I get the persona to show, and not Google start-up page?

I checked out the Mozilla Personas, saw one I liked, and added on. When I start Firefox, the Mozilla start-up page shows as usual with Google on it. The Persona I chose barely shows, and only in the Toolbars area at the top of the screen. Can I modify the start-up page to not show Google, and access Google another way, so that my Persona will show on the whole start-up page?

If you don't like seeing Google as your home page you might want to look at [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page how to set the home page] and change it.

How can I sort bookmarks within a folder by date such that this is apllied not only in the library but also on the toolbar?

I have several folders on my firefox toolbar which I use to sort new bookmarks by topic. If I add a new bookmark to a folder it is alwas placed at the bottom (below existing bookmarks) which is somewhat annoying with a increasing number of bookmarks. I would like to have the bookmarks recently added at the top of the folder (above existing bookmarks).
It's no problem to sort them this way within the library. But back at the toolbar everthing remains the same. The only option that seems to work here ist 'sort by name'.
Is there any way to sort the bookmarks by 'date added' such that new bookmarks are placed on top and this is applied also outside the library?

I do not think there is a way to do that without add-ons
There are a couple of workarounds I am aware of
* Add the bookmarks manually in the bookmarks library and choose the position. That is using Show all bookmarks -> open required folder -> select a position and right click -> add new bookmark <br />Rather a slow and clumsy process
* Sort a folder and copy it. If you sort the folder contents then copy and paste them they remain in that order when pasted.
There are add-ons but I have not tried them. For example

There will be others available and take note of the advice to backup bookmarks manaully.

Command links are not rendering properly in the toolbar facet of panel collection

I am using jdev 11.1.2.3.0
I added toolbar component to the toolbar Facet of panel collection component .
Under the tool bar I added two command link components with name create and delete,
the problem is at run time the buttons are not rendering properly,they are hiding,instead of links
this symbol(>>) is displaying.
On clicking the symbol,I am able to see the links,I used <af:spacer> after the links but not worked.
what I have to do to render the links properly in the panel collection toolbar facet
