Additional license for X5 be purchased?

Is it still possible to purchase an additional license and
serial number for RoboHelp X5 and use an existing installation CD?
I have a fellow technical writer who works for another
division of our corporation but across the cube aisle from me. She
has been asked to start creating help files using RoboHelp. Instead
of purchasing v6, I thought it might be easier to buy an additional
X5 license/serial number and use the same installation CD I have.
Can this be done or does she need to buy v6? Or should she hold out
for v7 when it is released?
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

You would need to find a vendor with stock. There's no way I
know of via Adobe.
7 will have a lot more features but whether or not they are
required is another issue. There are some links on my site to
what's expected in RH7.

Is there any way to add an additional license for Livetype without purchasing an old studio version? We just added another videographer to our group and found that the new Final Cut Studio does not include LiveType, a program we use extensively. I don't see any way to import the Livetype files into Motion either. New guy starts Feb. 14th so we need to get this resolved as soon as possible.

If you're not using the previous version of FCS2 then you can do a custom install of that selecting LiveType only.
If you're already doing this then you can find used versions for sale many places such as Ebay.
If you can set up your additional photog on a laptop then you can take advantage of the single license allowing you to use it on a mac pro and a laptop

Additional Licenses for Adobe Presenter 7?

A couple of my users are all jiggy about Adobe Presenter, and I want to install a couple of more times. However I have no idea how to purchase additional licenses for my serial number to allow for this, and it seems crazy that I would have to purchase the full product again, right? Has anyone had to do something similar and could advise on how to do this? Calling Adobe Customer Service just amounted to the person reading me the features off the adobe.com website.

What I was hoping for, though, was to be able to simply authorize a couple of more installs from my original purchase --- so I spent $500 on the product, and have it on my desktop and laptop, but would also like to put it on my work computer. I was hoping there was some sort of volume licensing that would allow me to purchase another install of the product, without shelling out another $500. Apparently, that's not the case, is it? That's too bad. The product works so slick that I could see implementing it among my users quite a bit --- if the price wasn't so high!

Buy additional license for elements and premiere elements 8 bundle?

Can I buy an additional license for my Elements 8 and Premiere elements 8 bundle or do I have to buy a whole new package?
I just purchased this bundle and even before I got home my teen daughter had it loaded on her laptop. I wanted to load it on my laptop and my main computer.

If both your daugther and you need to work on elements products, then I would sugesst you to buy a new serial number.
You dont necessarily need to buy a PEPE bundle again, say if you daugther if just using PSE and you need to use PSE and PRE both, then you need to buy a serial number only for PSE as PRE anyway you are using only on 2 machines.
For buying a new serial number, what you can do if just install PSE and PRE on you laptop with the current serial number you are having. When prompted that this serial number is already used on two machines, then click on the link to buy a new serial number on the same screen. Until then, i believe you are safe because that means may be your daugther is just using PRE and you just PSE or vice versa.

How do I purchase an additional license for my laptop?

I recently purchased the upgrade license for my desktop from Lightroom 4 to Lightroom 5.
I purchased a new laptop and want to load LR5 on it. Since I purchased the upgrade license key for the exisiting version of my desktop, I dont think I can use that same key for my laptop. Does that mean I now have to spend $149 just to get a license for my laptop?

Yes, you can.
A license entitles you to run the software on two computers at the same time.
Install LR5 on the laptop, enter your LR5 serial then enter your LR-4 serial when prompted.

HOw do I buy additional licenses for InDesign 5.5?

I have a Product Information Management system that is only compatible with InDesign 5.5. We are deploying another instance of the PIM and need to do an additional server install of InDesign 5.5. Can some one tell me how i can purchase additional licenses?

Additional license for norway

hi guys
Bought a nokia 6210 nokia navigator from Vodafone. planned to use navigation and all that on an upcoming trip to norway
so downloaded map for norway and activated license (free for 180 days)
I am however concerned if it will actually work in norway, as the license says it is for product iberia, so portugal spain gibraltar andorra
so because of that will it not recognize the norwegian map and work as intenden when i need it?
do i need to get and additional license
if yes, from whom, nokia or vodafone and how? website? ovi? from the phone itself

In OVI Maps application on your 6210 Navigator > Options > Shop & Licenses > My Licenses - you say that license is for Iberia? As far as I was aware there are fewer larger regions now so don't know whether it will offer you Europe as a whole, but price has come down considerably now if you go into "Shop"

Small business needing help with additional license for CC for 3 months

(I was prompted to ask a question as a first time user of the forum but it seems to have disappeared which is a little frustrating. So here I go again, hope this time it works...)
I'm a small business with a single user license for Creative Cloud which I've been subscribing to for about a year now. I have a foreign student coming to do training and get experience with us for 3 months - as his area of learning is Adobe design he will need access to Adobe CC.
I can't afford to buy a year's subscription for him but I was wondering if it would be possible to buy a 3 month's student license for Adobe CC. He starts on the 3rd of March so this is quite urgent...
I couldn't find a contact number to talk to a sales person in Ireland so I hope some one can help me before the 3rd of March.

No pre-paid cards in Ireland it seems. And my only option for month-to-month is to create a new Adobe ID and get Adobe Apps at €25/app/month. I'd love to up-grade to the Team subscription but it seems I can't get out of my one-year subscription in time to take advantage of the offer that goes out of date by the end of Feb. My renewal happens in June which means if I cancelled I'd have to pay 50% of the remaining months on top of paying for the new team sub... Why is it so hard to just get my student covered for 3 months - Adobe doesn't like small businesses, I guess we're not worth the hassle... Frustrating.

Additional license for at home computer

We are a very small nonprofit publishing company and have only two graphic designers, my self and another. There are three computers that already have the CS2 program and one that has the CS3 and CS4 as well as Photoshop CS3 and 4. The other designer has the CS2 on her ibook and works part-time from home. I was hoping to do the same in the next year, but there may be a problem installing the programs on a new system with out having to purchase an additional licesnse that we can't afford. My boss wanted me to see if there are any exceptions or maybe a discounted rate for the same programs being run on multiple systems that are all on the same network.
Sorry if I sound like I don't really know what I am talking about, I only use the programs and don't know much about the technical licensing stuff.

thing!Do you have a firewall? If you are running windows XP, is the built in firewall running? If either of these, you will have to learn to open port 8080 for business. If neither of these, then perhaps port 8080 is blocked by your ISP. Try changing port used (look in your server.xml and change the port for the HOST I believe). Then restart Tomcat.

Adding Licenses for Office 365 Pro Plus and Power BI

Hello. I have one license for Office 365 Pro Plus and one Power BI license. I want to buy another Power BI license to assign to a prospective client so he can log on to my Power BI site and view Power Pivot reports in the browser. I think that I need to
purchase an additional Office 365 Pro Plus license ($12/mo) as well as an additional Power BI license ($40/mo). Is this correct?
My other question has to do with what I believe is referred to as my Organizational account. I have one for Office 365 and a different one for Power BI. That is, my logins are different for the two subscriptions. I'm not sure how this happened or even if
it's important. I have had no issues installing Office 365 on my desktop, laptop and tablet and I can upload files to my Power BI site and access them. Does it matter that my organizational accounts are different?
Finally, if I have it correct in paragraph 1 that I need an additional license for both Office 365 Pro Plus and Power BI, do I just login to the two separate organizational accounts and add a license to each one?

Hi Guy. I went ahead and purchased both licenses. The Office 365 is only $12/mo so it's not a big deal.
After getting that great information from you on the other post, I contacted Microsoft support and got this issue straightened out. I did have two accounts (domains). They had me cancel my Office 365 subscriptions on the account that I purchased those subcriptions
on and then resubcribed to Office 365 on the Power BI account.

Server 2012 Standard license and VM license for windows instances

My question is tad different...
If I understand this correctly, 1 windows server standard license provides support for 1 Physical Operating System Environment (The VM Host / POSE) and permission to run 2 Virtual Operating System Environment(VOSE).
Does this imply that I can install 2 additional instances of Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition on the permitted 2 VM instances on the server? Or... should I purchase additional licenses for each VOSE that runs windows?
Does the standard license provide rights to run 2 Virtual instances AND offer install and activation rights for 2 MS windows (virtual) environments AND install and activation rights for the windows host?
If license is require for each instance of server 2012 running on the VM ... can I avoid purchasing additional licenses for operating systems, say, if I run 2 Centos operating system instances in 2 VOSE?

That said, licenses are assigned to the physical host, not to VMs. The License you assign to the host grants you the "right to run" addition virtual operating system environments running Windows Server. It does not grant you additional licenses.
Licensing for Microsoft Windows Server operating system is controlled by Microsoft. Licensing for any other operating system is not covered by the virtualization rights of the Windows Server operating system. Therefore, if the CentOS virtual machines
are properly licensed by whoever licenses them, you can run however many instances that license allows.
A single Standard Edition license can be installed on the physical host granting you the right to run up to two virtual instances of Standard Edition. However, if you run additional services, such as file services or Active Directory or IIS, etc.,
on the physical instance, that means you can only run one additional virtual instance of Windows Server.

I am developing reports for my application using crystal reports for VS 2005. I read on microsoft site (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318102 ) that the free server software supports three active requests to the server. It further says that developer will need to purchase additional licenses to increase scalability. I think that our application would need the additional license. However, i was unable to find a link on business objects site were i can buy the additional license for crystal report for VS 2005. The link takes me to license for Crystal report 2008. It would be great if you can answer my following questions:
- what version of crystal reports do we need to purchase?
- do we need license for each implementation or do we need license for the developers only.

Great questions! Let's get at em, one at a time:
How would you define a print job?
- A print job will essentially be consumed any time the print engine (crpe32.dll) needs to do work. So, processing one report = a print job. However, say you have one subreport, now the number of print jobs = 2. Now, say the subreport is in the details section and runs once per record. And you have 100 records. You will be running 1 + 100 print jobs. Paging to another page consumes a print job. Zooming consumes a print job, exporting and printing to a printer consumes a print job. So, depending on the report and the number of users, print jobs may be used up quite quickly. You can increase the print job limit by modifying the PrintJobLimit in the registry. For CR 2008, the reg entry is here:

I am not using report viewer to render the report. I use 'ExportToDisk' method to save the report in word or pdf format. Does 'ExportToDisk' make one print job?
