ADF 11 - Synchronizing af:Table and af:panelFormLayout

The situation is as follows :
I have an af:panelTabbed with 2 af:showDetailItems
On the first showdetailitem I have an af:Table which is bound to a table view
On the second showdetailitem I have an af:panelFormLayout which is bound to the same table view
I would like the af:PanelFormLayout to always be positioned on the same row as the af:Table so that when the user
clicks on the second tab the af:PanelFormLayout is correctly positioned.
As a bonus question how can switch tabs when the user double clicks on a row in the table

Hi,
1. You set a PPR trigger on the panelForm Layout and use the second tab - the one to switch to it - as the partial trigger source (the ID that is added to the partial triggers property)
2. A double click is only recognized by a clientListener applied to the output text field. From here you can call a managed bean using a serverListener or access the TAB from JavaScriot using teh JavaScript API and then witch the tab (didn't try the JS appoach). However, the Java bean solution should work

ADF Business Components from Tables - adding more tables

I have already created a ADF Business Components from Tables and added tables from the Oracle database.
My question is:
Is it possible to add more tables to the same Business Components model?

JDev 11g TP4: ADF tables and ADF form pop-ups PPR?
I was hoping somebody could help me with the following please.
I'm currently having a bit of an issue with ADF tables and ADF forms embedded in a pop-up, where the wrong record is shown in the popup. I suspect it's a PPR problem but am unsure. My scenario:
1) I have the following table:

</af:popup>Note that the table's partialTriggers is set to the id of the dialog. This implies on return from the dialog, the table will update itself to reflect any changes.
4) I have a data bound Create commandButton, + a simple Edit commandButton. The Edit button includes an <af:showPopupBehavior> to display the popup:

1) Click the create button, this will create a blank record in the <af:table>
2) Click the edit button and give the 2 fields values, press ok. Note this is reflected back in the table.
3) Click the create button, you will now see another blank record in the <af:table>. Note that the current row selection highlight is on the new record.
4) In the table select the original record, then the Edit button. Oddly the input form is showing the blank record, not the original record even though we selected it in the <af:table>
This implies to me that I have to hook up a PPR event such that the fields on the popup know to update themselves when the user selects a new row in the table.
I've tried setting the partialTriggers property for the popup, dialog and individual fields on the popup page to the table id, but this doesn't seem to work.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how I'm meant to hook up the partialTriggers in this case? I'm at a bit of a loss to know what to do to solve this issue. Is it possible the table selectionListener isn't working?

This morning I had a chance to play with Pavle's suggestions, specifically the popup contentDelivery option, and it's solved the issue. Specifically changing the contentDelivery option to lazyUncached was the golden solution.
As the popup component help states, the default functionality is: "lazy -- the default strategy described above. The content isn't loaded until you show the popup once, but then is cached."
....cached being the issue I was seeing.....
While the lazyUncached options states: "lazyUncached -- the content isn't loaded until you show the popup, and then is re-fetched every subsequent time you show the popup. Use this strategy if the popup shows data that can become stale."
The nasty thing about the lazy option is the fact that in the dialog it can show the previous cached result (even though you've selected a different record), and you can even appear to edit that cached result in the dialog, but when you press okay in the dialog and return to the previous table, it's updated the record you selected, not the cached result.
Confusing, but not a bug if you understand the popup contentDelivery options.
Frank, if you'd like it, I have the simple test case available to send you. But as it's not a bug I wont send it to you unless requested.

Adf faces table and applet in jsf page navSubmit not working in IE

Detailed layered ADF tables and reports; CSV
I have implemented this http://kuba.zilp.pl/?id=361 to produce CSV files from view objects and BC's. This worked fine when dealing with one simple queried View object. I have hit a wall because my data and queries have become more involved. Example:

sure, you can create read-only VO that are based on SQL queriesincluding one to many tables. If you need the Views to be updateable then you create Entities for each table and createa VO on top of that

xtantoDesigner itself has no direct integration with JDeveloper. However, there are three options. First of all, you can get a JDeveloper extension (download this separately) that lets you create a Connection to a Designer repository. From that Connection you can find modules that you defined in Designer and generate Entity and View objects for the tables and columns that you used in those modules, and an Application Module. It does not create JSPs or other user interface objects.
Another option is to buy JHeadstart from Oracle. This contains a set of code generators and ADF extensions that include an ability to get information from a Designer repository. JHeadstart works fine for non-Designer users too, but was built by the same people who wrote Designer Headstart - they know the repository API intimately.
The third option is to download Oracle Designer Extension Builder (ODEB) which was just recently made available. This is a product of a collaboration between Designer users from the Oracle Development Tools Users Group (ODTUG) and Oracle to extend the capabilities of Designer with user written tools and utilities. You could use ODEB to write your own generators for ADF Business Components. Or you could wait and see if someone else in the user community does this. I hope that you or whoever does such a generator will be willing to share it with us all. -

my 'confirm' field is a checkbox field in table . whenever the checkbox is selected,
the corresponding price will be getting added and display it in a textbox.
Eg:

and if i select first 3 values , then the text box should contain 9000 value.

Exception raised while trying to join Table and Stream

The Long could not be casted to the bigint format of CQL.
On changing the datatype of ORDER_ID in the CorpInterfaceEvent to int, the join is successful. -
View Criteria in ADF Query Panel with Table-Class Cast Exception

BPM Payload bind to adf query panel with table
hi guys,
i have a requirement to process all result row in the table to my bpm process.
i have a bpm taskflow and already defined the payload xml.
in the taskflow UI, i hv a adf query panel with table from a criteria View object.
how can i bind the search result to the bpm payload ?
i tried to bind it directly, but it turns out error.
or do you hv a better approach to this requirement, so i can add/remove row in table dynamically ?

ADF query panel with table, adding new search fields dynamically
I am a beginner very new to ADF world. I have a ADF query panel with table which has its source from a ViewCriteria. I need to add a new search field on the form dynamically based on the user's need. Assume I am using a Employee table and I have search "employee ID" as one field in the form, upon clicking a add button in the form I need to have a another "employee ID" field appears along with the already existing one.
I tried to add the condition in ViewCriteria but do not know how to add it ?
Could some one pls address how it can be approached ?User, please always tell us your jdev version.
Well, this use case need some thinking to be done. What do you want to archive with adding a new query field to the panel? As you said you already have one field for employeeId and now, on a click on a button, you add another one. How would the resulting query work with the new field? Should it use 'and' to concatenate the query or should it use 'or'?
I suggest that you use the ADF Riche Client Demo (http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/index.jspx) select the Query node and then select 'af:query'. This shows you what is possible otu of hte box using the af:query component. You can add fields to existing queries in advanced mode (e.g. use system query 5, which starts with an empty panel and allows you to add fields).
Once you understand how this works you may come back with a more detailed use case description or you have found the solution already. Read the documentation on af:query along with trying otu the component.

Updating multpile tables and multiple rows - JDBC adapter

The scenario is like this. i receive an Idoc which has header information and various line items (multiple occurrance of a segment). the hearder details have to be sent to one table, TableA, and all line items has to go to another table, TableB, and for each line item, a new row has to be inserted in TableB.
How can i acheive this using JDBC adapter? how should my data type look like? what are the settings i need to do in adapter config?
