ADF 11g Rich Demo site is down

I use this a lot when looking at using new controls. Anywhere I can get the source download so I don't have to rely on external source? I was able to obtain the 10g version but not the new one.
Thanks,
Kris
** Update ** : It appears the download has been updated from http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/adffaces/11/doc/demo/adf_faces_rc_demo.html on 10/10/2008. I didn't actually check this before since the page hadn't changed from the old JDev instructions.
Thanks,
Kris

  • Does ADF 11g Rich Faces have a component for entering/displaying a Time?

    The inputDate component does a fine job of entering and displaying a Date value. However, it does not cater for the time component of a date value. Is there a component in the Rich Faces set that does cater for both displaying a time and setting a time value?
    Lucas

    Is there any solution to have the date and time in two different fields but still in the same component so that it only takes one row.
    The only solution I can see now in the <af:selectInputDate> component is
    <f:convertDateTime pattern="#{bindings.test.format}" dateStyle="short" timeStyle="short" type="both"/>
    This shows the date and time in the same field. But I would like it in two fields on the same row. Is it possible?

  • Adf faces rich client demo

    I have created the adf faces rich client demo application in
    jdeveloper 11g (11111.0) as explained in the docs .But, I am getting error at the following line in index.jspx
    <af:pageTemplate id="tmplt" viewId="/templates/pageTemplateDefs/demoIndexTemplate.jspx">
    "JSF page template path /templates/pageTemplateDefs/demoIndexTemplate.jspx not found"

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for your reponse. I'm actually pointing my browser to http://localhost/adffacesdemo/faces/index.jsp. But the Request URI is showing in error message as /adffacesdemo/index.jsp.
    I'm pretty new to ADF, Am I missing something to set in the project properties.

  • JDeveloper 11g/ADF Faces Rich Client

    Hello,
    We are trying to decide between using JDeveloper 10.1.4 and JDeveloper 11g for developing a new application - we plan to use just the ADF Faces layer of the ADF Framework along with Spring and TopLink for other layers.
    On one hand we think that is is safer to use 10.x version of ADF Faces as it may be more stable and on the other hand we are tempted to use 11g as it provides Ajax-enabled JSF Components.
    Has anyone used ADF Faces Rich Client Framework for developing applications? Is it stable enought to be used for production-level applications?
    I would love to hear your thoughts!

    Hi,
    don't use 10.1.3.4 to develop a new application now unless you have browser constraints with your user-base.
    ADF Faces RC / 11g requires:
    FireFox 2, 3
    Internet Explorer 7.0
    Safari 3.0
    11g is a significant update and they have vastly improved/redesigned a lot of things that were difficult/complex to do in earlier versions.
    Plus the 11g user interface is way better from a users perspective.

    The about box in RIA components demo has some nice information about ADF components versions. Since there are patch sets commig out on regular basiss, I've decided to include such about box in our application also.

    Hi Chris,
    thanks for your response. I was take next fragment of source code for Server session, Client session and Remote session.

    serverSess.getEventManager().addListener(eventListener);
    serverSess.setLogLevel(DefaultSessionLog.ALL);
    serverSess.login();

  • Error executing ViewObject in ADF 11g application

    Hi,
    I've just deployed my ADF 11g (11.1.1.2.0) application to a standalone WebLogic 10.3 server. The app contains a single page with a dvt graph and it is configured to use a JDBC data source. I've created the data source via the WebLogic console and chosen the standard Oracle XA Thin driver.
    Most of the time the app works perfectly well, however very occasionally the graph fails to load and an error dialog is given instead showing a NullPointerException. The full stack trace is as follows:

    I've tried some basic Googling for possible solutions but can't find any other instances of this NullPointerException from the driver. Since I don't have the driver source, I can't debug this. Can anyone within Oracle shed some light on why the driver is throwing this error?

    Bumping a 2-year-old thread isn't likely to get you any solution. Best course for you is to post a new thread with all of your details (which will be different, unless you are using the very old 11.1.1.2 version - in which case you will be told to try a later release).

  • A bug in ADF 11g?

    Hi all,
    It appears like a bug in 11g:
    1. when using regex with javascript: replacing all spaces from a string: replace(/\s/g, ''); it fails in 11g and works in 10g; (and if I use this: replace(/ /g, ''), it removes all spaces in 11g, but I don't think this is correct way to do it?); And trimming the spaces: replace(/^\s+|\s+$/, '') ; still works in 11g and 10g;
    2. whenever there is '*\d*' in the regex, it seems fails to work? I have to replace it with [0-9] or [0123456789]??
    3. one more: expecting to use this regex */^[A-Za-z]/* to start with letter, it fails too now, I can start with numbers?
    Thanks
    Shawn

  • Urgent!! Pagination in ADF 11g..

    Hi,
    May i know how we can set pagination in ADF 11g? In OAF there was a table property for number of columns.
    Can anyone help me on this.
    Thanks

    You are talking about ADF rich table?
    There is no pagination in adf rich tables. They fetch the data when needed.
    You define the hight of the table and the fetch size of the iterator. The fetch size of the iterator should be greater or equal then the number of row visable in the UI. The the visible part of the table is loaded in one call to the server-
    If your table hight can show 50 rows at once and you set the fetch size of the iterator to 10 it just means the table goes 5 times to the server to fill up and then show all rows.
    If you only want to see a portion of the available rows you have to reduce the hight of the table in the UI to only hold as much rows as you want.

  • Adf 11g logging

    Hi
    How to use ADFLogger in ADF 11g?
    Thanks in advance

    It's up to you how you want to do it, but I think common practices are to create a logger per class or per functional grouping of classes. It's all down to your choice, but the more granular you create the loggers, the more control you can have in turning on or off pieces of logging.

  • What are correct steps of integrating and using jasper report with ADF 11g?

    Hi,
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.2.0 with ADF 11g.
    I want to use jasperreports 3.7.0 along with ADF 11g to build reports in PDF on a button event. This is the first time I will be attempting it so before starting up I went through forum to get exact and clear steps on the jars and integration points of jasper with adf. There is exhaustive list but still it does not have the needed clarity.
    Can anyone help in listing down the jars and integration steps? and also want to know if there are any points in particular that I need to be aware of while running i along with ADF faces.
    Pls note the ver. of jasper and adf mentioned above.
    Thanks in advance.
    Edited by: user8925296 on May 14, 2010 4:06 PM

    Hi,
    Basically, you need to:
    - have all the jars in ViewProject/WEB-INF/lib, and include them to the project (Project properties -> Libraries and Classpath) - last time I did this was with version 3.1.3 and the necessary jars were jasperreports-3.1.3.jar, jcommon-1.0.0.jar and iText-2.1.4.jar (plus poi<+whatever is the latest version+>.jar if you want to generate .XLS reports)
    - call the code for generating reports from your backing bean (button's actionListener)
    - flush the report to the client (directly to HTTPResponse or by using af:fileDownloadListener)
    Those are the general steps, without going into the coding.

  • Can we override X-UA-Compatible metatag generated by ADF 11g?

    I have a page with google maps embedded in it. The page when run displays the map fine in Firefox and Safari but not in IE (7 or 8). In IE 8, if I change the document mode to IE8 then it displays fine. I notice that when I run the page in IE, ADF Faces generates a meta tag:

    So here's what I did.
    I found this javascript function, which checks IE mode: http://www.strictly-software.com/scripts/downloads/IE8.js (thanks Rob Reid).
    Next, I modified my jspx a bit, to disqualify X-UA-Compatible meta tag (IE respects it only if it's the first meta tag in the header):
    <jsp:output doctype-root-element="xhtml" doctype-public="-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" doctype-system="http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd" />
      <f:view>
        <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="bar"/>
       <af:document id="document11">
          <af:clientListener type="load" method="checkCompatibilityMode"/>
          <f:facet name="metaContainer">

       </f:facet>And voila, if a user tries to login with IE8, he is required to switch into compatibility mode: http://imgur.com/2OZvr.png
    Once it's on, a login prompt is visible and the whole application runs in compatibility mode (which - for some reason - works different than IE mode).
