ADF FACES: Drag&drop of ADF Faces component set all prefixes to af: or :afh

First i create a JSF page without ADF Faces components;
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"%>
<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f"%>
<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" prefix="h"%>
<f:view>
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></meta>
<title>
untitled2
</title>
</head>
<body>
<h:form>
<h:outputText value="outputText0"/>
</h:form>
</body>
</html>
</f:view>
Then i put the ADF Faces components <af:inputText (or <af:table>) label="Label 0"/> per drag & drop to my JSF page:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"%>
<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f"%>
<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" prefix="h"%>
<%@ taglib uri="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/EA11" prefix="af"%>
<%@ taglib uri="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/EA11/html" prefix="afh"%>
<f:view>
<afh:html>
<afh:head title="untitled2">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></meta>
</afh:head>
<afh:body>
<af:form>
<h:outputText value="outputText0"/>
<af:inputText label="Label 0"/>
</af:form>
</afh:body>
</afh:html>
</f:view>
!!! All tag prefixes are changed to af: or rather afh: !!!
Why? Is this a feature? WHERE CAN I DISABLE THIS???
I read in docs that ADF Faces components works well together with RI components or other and i can mix them.

I posted about this recently and didn't get a single response. I've scoured the project setting/ preferences and was unable to find any pertinant setting. The workaround i've used is to design the entire page and then use notepad(yep notepad) to add the adf tags. Don't bother trying to open the .jsp/.jspx again in jdev or it will modify the tags. I'm assuming this will be addressed in the production release and am hoping this is not a branding issue.
I'd love to hear a products person address this.

  • Drag & drop solution - submit form

    Hi
    I'm creating some drag&drop page.
    My page looks like:
    <af:subform id="ListID">
    <afh:script source="/drag_n_drop.js"/>
    <af:table value="#{myBean.list}" var="item" >
    <af:column>
    <af:outputText value="#{item.data}" onmousedown="initDrag()" onmouseup="doDrop()" />
    </af:column>
    </af:table>
    <af:inputHidden value="#{myBean.dragID}"
    valueChangeListener="#{myBean.drop}" id="dragID" />
    </af:subform>
    Now in initDrag() I'm able to properly get ID of dragged item and put it in hidden element.
    How should look my doDrop() javascript handler?
    Simple submit on proper form doesn't propagate dragID to bean and valueChangeListener isn't triggered.
    When I add on page simple commandButton, and push it instead of calling doDrop() function, everything works fine.
    I can also reuse javascript function from onclick in such button and it works (with buttion on page). However I don't want there be any button.
    What do I miss?

    Hi there,
    As per the current design, 'Auto Submit' works only for correct answers. You can try adding the following advanced action in case if you don't want to report the Drag and Drop interaction.
    1. Create a user variable called 'count' with value '0'.
    2. Create a conditional action with the following statements.
    Assume your total number of Drag sources is 4, and then create a conditional action with the following statements
    Select the Target Object, Click on the 'Accept' button from Drag and Drop Properties Panel. (Accepted Drag Source dialog should open up)
    Set 'On Drop action' as Execute Advanced action, select the advanced action created in the above step, (set it for all sources).
    This action gets triggered while dropping sources and the else part gets executed on drop the last source object and movie continues to the next slide
    As I mentioned before, this doesn’t actually submit the question so it won’t work with 'Reporting' scenarios.
    Thanks,
    Nimmy Sukumaran.

  • Adobe Captivate how to display number of attempts in Drag Drop Interaction slide

    Adobe Captivate how to display number of attempts in Drag Drop Interaction slide
    i have set attempts to 3
    on each failure i want to show on slide how many attempts used
    and how many correct answers

    Hi Sreekanth,
    You understanding is correct.  But,it is not even necessary to show the correct sources on correct targets along with the feedback... the correct option numbers in  incorrect feedback will do.
    reg point number 3, if I revisit the slide, the feedback are still displayed. For example, in this case, I added a correct feedback, but when I revisit the slide, the feedback was still appearing. So I added this action "On Enter"  to "Hide" this success caption. So that is why i told specifically that none of the feed backs should be there when i revisit the slide.
    Sorry Srikanth - I am not familiar with the advanced actions or variables. I have just used some from referring the examples from net. that's all

  • Multiselect drag and drop in ADF

    Hi,
    Is there any way I can implement multi select drag and drop in ADF.
    Currently I have a UI where I have several cards. Each card is built using panelStretchLayout and I can drag and drop each card.
    The requirement is to be able to select multiple cards and drag and drop. Is there any way I can achieve this using ADF.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    For the drag source and drop target previously i have used action="MOVE". I tried with action="COPY" (default action) and it worked out.

    <af:collectionDropTarget actions="COPY" modelName="DnDDemoModel"

  • ADF Bindings Servlet/Filter  not invoking  Faces Servlet

    I'm getting ADF Faces and Facelets working properly with pages written in jspx format, but the Faces Servlet being mapped to jsf format.
    The problem I'm getting is while displaying ADF Tables with data retrieved from the database using Toplink and bindings provided by ADF Databindings.
    The following is the Web.xml mappings for Faces Servlet and ADF bindings filter:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet</servlet-class>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>resources</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/adf/*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>*.jsf</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    <filter>
    <filter-name>adfBindings</filter-name>
    <filter-class>oracle.adf.model.servlet.ADFBindingFilter</filter-class>
    </filter>
    <filter-mapping>
    <filter-name>adfBindings</filter-name>
    <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </filter-mapping>
    <filter-mapping>
    <filter-name>adfBindings</filter-name>
    <url-pattern>*.jspx</url-pattern>
    </filter-mapping>
    I'm getting the ADF tables displayed using ADF Bindings, if the faces servlet is mapped for jspx format;but, at the cost of losing Facelets...Facelets is not working with Faces Servlet mapped to jspx format(though written in jspx format, the faces servlet mappping has to be made for jsf format.On the other hand, if I use faces servlet mapping for jsf pages I'm getting Facelets working but ADF Databindings are not working ,(I guess) and hence ADF Faces Tables are not being displayed(I'm getting Access Denied message).
    I even tried to change the ADF binding filter mappings
    ---- from ---- jsp &jspx---- to ----- jsp and jsf ----
    But I got the same Access denied message.
    I read a similar post on this forum by Mr.Ashish Kumar who said he is using java script and automatic form submission, to refresh the page and that gave him the table working.
    as quoted in the post:
    af:table displays Access Denied
    Why should the page be refreshed at all. I Guess , the Faces Servlet is not being invoked by the ADF Bindings Filter/Servlet, and for this , I suppose , Mr.Ashish is using java script to provide the action required.
    And one more thing which that Automatic Refreshing of page using JavaScript cannot do.
    Suppose,
    I need customised display, rather than just a Table or Form,like:
    public String getEmp() {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding =
    bindings.getOperationBinding("findAllEmp");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    List<Emp> res=(List<Emp>)result;
    for(int i=0;i<res.size();i++)
    Emp myrec=res.get(i);
    System.out.println("Employee ["+myrec.getEname()+"], Salary ["+myrec.getSal()+"]");
    return "";
    where I do some customisation in the backing bean.
    and I call that method binded to a button as below:
    <af:commandButton
    text="findAllEmp"
    disabled="#{!bindings.findAllEmp.enabled}"
    binding="#{backing_Success.commandButton1}"
    id="commandButton1"
    action="#{backing_Success.getEmp}"/>
    What I'm getting is a disabled button.
    Why doesn't ADF bindings servlet invoke the faces Servlet?
    Can't we make ADF Bindings Servlet invoke Faces Servlet by configuring in the web.xml?
    Can't we get ADF Bindings filter mapped to work with jsf pages?
    Won't ADF Bindings work with jsf pages, will they work only with jspx pages?
    ADF Team,
    Please Help me.
    Thanking you,
    Samba

    Hi! Frank,
    Thankyou for your Reply.
    Yes, Mr.Adam Winer has contributed that library, I guess.
    But I already have that adf-facelets.jar in my lib folder ; and with out that the Facelets won't work with ADF faces , in the first place.
    I'm getting Facelets working excellently with ADF Faces but I'm not getting ADF Bindings working with Faceletpages.
    The thing is even in another application which does not have facelets in it, if we use mapping for jsf pages, ADF Bindings are not working.
    I think the ADF bindings filter is configured some where to work with jspx pages only.Could you tell me where to change that entry to make ADF Bindings work with jsf extension?
    Thanking you,
    Samba.

  • Photoshop Elements Organizer 11 - Drag and Drop to Marked Faces

    Hello,
    I have recently upgraded from PSE 10 to 11.  In 10 I used to drag People tags onto autodetected faces which would server to add the tag as well label the mark of the  face (2 birds with one stone).  In 11 when I attempt to drag and drop a People tag onto a marked face, the square and the "Who is this" disapears.  The only way I can find to actually mark the face is by actually typing the name for each person.  Definitely a more painful way of doing it versus drag and drop.  Did Adobe drop this feature or is this a bug I can expect to be fixed in an upcoming update?  Or is this problem that is just local to my machine?
    Thanks!  Rob

    That is pretty disappointing!  Regardless of a revamp or not, marching into a NEW version should NOT mean reduced functionality!  I didn’t use the facial recognition in 10 because most of the time it got it wrong!  Also, for my people tags I like to tag (mark faces) with tags of “Family” and “Friends”.  More often than not this represents the bulk of my people tagging.  So now I actually have to type it in or I have to try to use Add People and hope it gets it right more than in version 10.  That is definitely a slower workflow!
    Sigh.  OK.   My next question is that it looks like Add people facial recognition is not working at all. It is finding faces but it is not suggesting names at all, even after doing a number to try to teach it.  I will start up a second thread to ask that question.
    Beyond this does anyone have any ideas on how to save a time on People tagging?  This represents the bulk of the time I spend in Organizer so making this process work faster is really important to me.

  • Issue with Drag&Drop between table and tree component

    I want to drag table rows and drop it on the tree node. I use following code to achieve this:

    rows="#{bindings.pricingObjects.rangeSize}"

    <af:dataFlavor flavorClass="org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.model.RowKeySet"
    discriminant="rowmove"/>
    </af:dropTarget>
    </af:tree>
    With this code I am getting the data of dragged rows but I am not able to get the tree node where rows are dropped. Dropevent.getDropSite() always returns NULL.
    Strangely, I tried to use deprecated tags <af:collectionDragSource> and <af:collectionDropTarget> and everything works fine. Dropevent.getDropSite() returns me the correct rowkey of tree node.
    Any idea why am I not getting desired result with <af:dropTarget>?

    Hi,
    +" Please note that dropSite==null is a legal value for collection components. dropSite=null and DropOrientation==ON indicates that the drop has happened outside the data portion of the collection component and should be treated as a drop on the entire component Also note that dropSite==null and DropOrientation==AFTER indicates that the drop has happened on an empty collection component and the user intends to append the data."+

  • Use custom component when drag&drop a VO as form

    Hi,
    Actually if I drag&drop a VO as form, jdevelopper suggest me, for each field, "Component To Use" : "ADF Input Text w/Label", "ADF Input Text", "ADF Output Text w/Label"..... I would like to suggest my custom components too. Is it possible?

    Hi,
    I don't think you could do that in a easier way (atleast AFAIK). You would need to create an extension to the IDE to achieve it.

  • Drag and Drop, dropping to a parent component.

    I've been searching high and low for a solution to a problem without any success. I'm hoping someone here might have a suggestion.
    I have an application (written using Java 5.0) which allows dragging and dropping custom components between JPanels. My components themselves are JPanels with other components in them such as JTextFields. I've written custom TransferHandlers for my components and all works well. If I drag one of my components and drop it on the receiving panel, it works. If I drag and drop on an existing one of my components, the drop works since the components themselves don't support dropping (the drop is accepted by the parent JPanel).
    My problem occurs when I inadvertently do a drop onto a text component within one of my components. In this case the drop is rejected since the text component doesn't accept my Transferable. What I would like to happen is have the drop passed up to a containing panel that does accept the Transferable.
    I can't disable drop on the text components as I'd like them to still accept string drops.
    Is there another solution that will allow a parent (or more generally an ancestor) of a component to accept a drop rejected by a child component?

  • Drag and Drop - detecting drop away from a component

    Flex 4, AIR 2.0 app
    I have a drag and drop detecting a Button drag away from a Group1 into Group2.
    When the user drops into a Group2, the Button is added to it, which obviously removes it from Group1.
    I would like it that if the user drags away from Group2 and drops it randomly on the screen, the Button will be added back into Group1.
    Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might go about detecting the end of a drag when not over a component, so I can add the button back into Group1 again?
    Hope that makes sense!!!

    Thanks Ronnie,
    I'll have a look at gthis as it looks a bit more efficient than the solution I have come up with.
    The only thing I'm not sure about is at what point my Button gets put back into Group1.  In my current movie, I have a function which handles the dragDrop event.  But if I drop outside a component, I don't have an event from which I call the handleDrop(dragEvent) function.
    I'll have a look.
    In the meantime, what I'm doing is Making my drag item a custom component, passing a reference to it's default container (Group1) and its Default X and Y co-ordinates.
    Then, I have a dragComplete handler which is called whenever the drag item is released - I then check the action property of the event and if it is "none" I know it has been dropped outside a recognised target and I can add it back into its default group and set its default x and y coordinates.  This seems to work quite nicely at the moment.
    so, my code in the Drag Button looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <s:Button xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"

         trace("put the drag label back into its original position");
         if (event.target.parent != _defaultParent){

  • Refresh dragProxy in List component built-in drag & drop feature

    Hi,
    I'm using the built-in drag & drop feature of the List component. Everything works fine except one thing. The itemRenderer I use in my List contains many TextInput that the user can fill. The problem is when I drag an itemRenderer to reorder my list, the dragProxy of the itemRenderer doesn't show the text I enter in the TextInput; it shows the original state of my itemRenderer.
    Is there any way to update the dragProxy to reflect the changes made in the itemRenderer ?
    Thank you!
    Matetnic

    If editable=true, the user's changes should be saved to the dataprovider when the drag starts.  The dragproxy renders whatever is in the dataprovider item

  • Custom component with drag&drop ?

    Hello everyone, I'm new to CQ5.
    I'm trying to develop a custom component that allows me to use drag & drop to drag an image from DAM to my component instead of having to insert the image in the component code. How can I do?
    Thank you!

    Content finder(cf) will list all the assets in dam.  Look at OOB image component to get an idea where in you can drag & drop assets from image (cf) into component.
    What different you are looking in custom component?
    Thanks,

  • Drag & Drop ViewObject as Table Exception

    Hi,
    When I drag & drop any view object onto the page, there are no problems when dropping it as a Form. When I drag & drop the same view object onto the page as a Table, however, a stack trace appears from JDeveloper. I have posted screen shots showing the differences:
    Drop as Form (okay): http://i.imgur.com/nMgcb.png
    Drop as Table (error): http://i.imgur.com/25836.png
    This problem only happens with one specific application. All the other applications can drag & drop without problem.
    Suggestions for where to look to resolve the problem would be fantastic. Here is the stack trace:
