Adf table header borders

Hello,
I have been given responsibility for a number applications developed using JDeveloper and run within a standalone OC4J. I'm also relatively new to the tools as well. The original developer has left the company so I'm on my own.
There is a jsp that displays a number of columns. It also has tableSelectOne facet. The column header has a very faint box around it. The other columns (except one) has a noticable box around it. The exception column header has the same faint box-like border that the Select column has.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to control the border for the column headers. inlineStyle with border-width, border-style, outline-width, nothing works.
Any help or pointers you have will be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

You can put an af:outputText inside the header facet of the af:column component, should look like this:
<af:column width="65" align="center" sortable="true" sortProperty="service" id="bcstr1" headerClass="tableHeader">
  <f:facet name="header">
    <af:outputText value="Service" shortDesc="Service Names that we provided"/>
  </f:facet>
</af:column>AP

  • Customising ADF table

    Hi everyone,
    is it possible to move/replace the first few columns of an ADF read-only table with the next few columns on clicking a icon/link/command button. And the icon/link/command button be placed in the column header of ADF table. i am looking to achieve carousel kind of feature for ADF table where first 10 columns get replaced with the next 10 columns.
    i want to achieve the columns of adf table to move to and fro on click of icon/link that is placed in the 2nd and last column of ADF table Header.
    i have referred to the below link but it wasn't as helpful, but it gave some idea-

    Thanks,
    Manjunath

    Pagination won't help you as it is used to load more rows and not columns.
    What is your jdev version?
    What comes to mind is to use a panel collection where you put your table into.The panel collection allows you to show and hide columns of a table. Using you two buttons you hide the currently shown columns and show the next columns.

  • How to Merge ADF Table Column Header in ADF Table ?

    Hi All,
    We need to have ADF Table Column header to be "Merged",
    e.g :
    There are two columns Header : | Qty (Case) | Qty (Pack) |,
    can we customize it to display like this :
    | ----- Qty -------|
    | Case | Pack |
    where there are two rows in column header, the first one is "Merged".
    How can we do that ?
    Thank you very much,
    xtanto

    Hi Kelly,
    Thank you for your reply,
    Using Column Faced, Header I can format the header of one column Only.
    My requirement is to Merge header of two colums :
    | ----- Qty -------|
    | Case | Pack |
    'Case' &'Pack' is two different column, so I need to add one row on the header of the two colums, then 'merge' them, and add the word '----Qty----'.
    Is it possible ?
    Thank you,

    Hi Navaneeth,
    I actually never tried but maybe this does the trick
    af|column::column-header-cell
      icon: url("images/<your-image>");
    [\code]
    Might work.

    Hi All,
    I am new to OATS and I am trying to create script for testing ADF application using open script tool. I face issues in recording two events.

  • How to change the column name as bold in adf table

    Hi,
    How can I change the column name with bolder style and blue colour in adf Table?
    I changed the color and font weight in af:column properties, but its effecting the data in that column but not with the column Header Text property.(i have given column name in header text).
    can any one have any idea how to do this?
    and I have taken panel tabbed layout and in that i'm displaying this table.
    but this table has scroll beneath of it to show all columns.
    but i want to display all columns (for this, page should have scroll at the bottom side).
    how can I achieve this???

    Hi,
    Add the following CSS Code to the custom skin css file that is to be created as per the suggestions above.
    *af|column::column-header-cell{*
    color:Blue;
    font-weight:bold;
    This would ensure that all the table column headers are blue in color and bolder font style through-out the application.
    By the way, what version of JDeveloper are you using?
    Thanks,

  • ADF Table - Command buttons disappear when no rows returned for table

    We have a command button that navigates to a create screen, when the table returns no rows the button disappears. We need to have this displayed always and within the ADF table. The code looks like:
    <f:facet name="selection">
    <af:tableSelectOne text=""
    binding="#{Search.tableSelectOne1}"
    id="tableSelectOne1">
    <af:commandButton actionListener="#
    bindings.ExecuteWithParams1.execute}"
    text="Edit n"
    action="edit"
    binding="#{SearchCtgry.commandButton3}"
    id="commandButton3">
    <af:setActionListener from="#{row.Code}"
    to="#{processScope.toCode}"/>
    </af:commandButton>
    </af:tableSelectOne>
    </f:facet>

    try placing the command button within the "actions" facet of the table. It will place it above the actual rows of the table. You could also use the "header" facet.
    <af:tableSelectOne text=""
    binding="#{Search.tableSelectOne1}"
    id="tableSelectOne1">
    <f:facet name="actions">
    <af:commandButton actionListener="#
    bindings.ExecuteWithParams1.execute}"
    text="Edit n"
    action="edit"
    binding="#{SearchCtgry.commandButton3}"
    id="commandButton3">
    <af:setActionListener from="#{row.Code}"
    to="#{processScope.toCode}"/>
    </af:commandButton>
    </f:facet>
    </af:tableSelectOne>

  • Re: Getting the current selected Row & column in adf table

    Hi,
    Our requirement is we have to retrieve both the current row and column in adf table.
    We can retrieve the current row in the backing bean like
    ViewObject view = getViewObject();
    view.getCurrentRow();
    Is it possible to retrieve selected column id or column header text as we are getting for row?
    please give some sample.
    Thanks,

    Hi John
    My exact requirement,
    1.     We have collection of records in adf table
    2.     Each cell in the row has commandImageLink (Like adding approver, edit approver, delete etc)
    Currently it’s working fine for me in the commandImageLink listener, but the problem is table is refreshed 2 time,
    while selecting a record and commandImageLink is clicked, I have to avoid 2 times refreshing,
    If it’s possible to identify a particular cell in the row selection, I can avoid the image link listener.
    we are using Jdeveloper11.1.1.4.0
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • How to change control in adf table

    Hi
    I am using jdev 11.1.2.1.0
    I have a view object which have one boolean type transient field and set the control type in UIHints tab to CheckBox.
    I create a jsf page and drop the iterator from data control (Created by that view object).
    On jsf page the control for transient field is check box and I want to convert it to radio button.
    Whenever I am converting this from property window radio button is not displaying on output window.
    Please solve the problem and help me out.
    Thanks

    Hi Sudipto Desmukh
    I am not using LOV for that transient field.
    I just add a transient field in view object.
    Let me explain more about my application that what I want to do.
    Actually I am creating a finance approval application
    I have 2 tables(header and detail)
    On jsf page I take paneltabbed layout which have two tabs one for header and other for detail.
    On first tab I drop header table to create adf table.
    There is on concept which I want to implement that is row locking.
    Means whenever user select any row of header in first tab and press on claim button the associated detail should be display in second tab.
    and that particular record should not be display to any other.
    To select a particular row in header I am using a transient attribute(Named select type boolean) in header view object.
    now I want to display this attribute on jsf as radio button so that user can select only one row to claim.
    i.e. if the value of radio button become true ,that particular row is ready to approve by that user.
    How should I do the same ?
    Please provide the help
    Thank you

  • ADF table skins

    I have used jdev 11.1.1.6.0
    I have create ADF table , In table header row ,if i drag column header to resize column,it will resize column data only first time, if i refresh column data, column will comes its original size and header remains in resize position. Can i bind column to column header using any skin property.

    Hi,
    The normal behaviour of af:table is that column header and column always have the same width.
    I guess there is something wrong with your table or your existing skinning?
    (I can remember very gloomy a similar behaviour but unfortunately I can't remember the root cause. It was at least 2-3 years ago).
    Do you use custom skins?
    Have you already tried to create a simpel test application with an table to reproduce this issue?

  • ADF Tables and 508 Accessibility Complience

    How can I apply the 'headers' attribute to individual cells in an ADF table or, as an alternative apply the 'scope' attribute to row and column headers so that my screen reader, currently MS Narrator, will read the contents of each cell?

    Yes, I have verified that accessibility-mode is set to 'screenReader' - each row and column is also rendered with a 'select' control. I see that in the generated HTML for the table the scope="col" attribute for each header is being set but not "scope=row" for each row. I've also tried the NVDA screen reader as well - it can 'occasionally' read the contents of each cell using the keyboard arrow keys but it will not read column or row header names - so for large tables a vision impaired user wouldn't know the context for each cell value.
    To bring up another point, without the capability of inserting a 'headers' attribute for cell, a table containing multi-layer headings would be impossible for a screen reader to read.
    I've also noticed that for single one choice controls the screen reader does not read the label and control widget type until after the select event is generated - usually by pressing the down arrow key. Text entry controls work as expected.
