Adf table navigation control on bottom

Hi,
When I add custom skin to my application, bottom navigation controll on adf table is not visible anymore.
In adf-faces-skins.xml I have this configuration
    <skin>
    <id>digit.desktop</id>
    <family>digit</family>
    <render-kit-id>oracle.adf.desktop</render-kit-id>
    <style-sheet-name>css/digit.css</style-sheet-name>
  </skin>and in adf-faces-config.xml use that skin
<skin-family>digit</skin-family>In digit.css I have configured bottom navigation like this
af|table::control-bar-bottom
  font-size: 22px;
  font-family:Tahoma;
  text-decoration: none;
  background-color: rgb(238,238,240);
}However, bottom navigation isn't shown on page.
I am using jdeveloper 10.1.3.4
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for quick reply.
This works in css but is there any way to do this on a single page?
I tried to add .af_table{ -ora-repeat-control-bar: true }
but it doesnt work.
Thanks.

  • ADF Faces: How to position define table navigation in custom skin?

    Hi,
    I played a bit with custom skins. I'am just wondering how you can choose the location of the navigation button ( << Previous | 1-10 of 32 | Next >> )
    For example, if I use the oracle skin, it appears both at the top and at the bottom. In an other skin I used, the navigation was only at the top and not at the bottom. I just can't figure out how this is determined in the css stylesheet, or is it simply not possible because the custom skin is derived from the Simple skin?

    Add the following to the css for your skin:
    af|table::control-bar-bottom
    visibility:hidden;
    This will hide the bottom control bar, which contains the navigation at the bottom of the table, from view.

  • How to add range navigation to an ADF table ?

    Greetings,
    I have the following code:
    <af:table var="messageObject" rowBandingInterval="0" id="t1"
    value="#{chatForm.chatRoom.messages}" rendered="#{chatForm.chatRoom.messagesSize > 0}"
    summary="message table" rows="5" first="#{chatForm.first}"
    contentDelivery="immediate" autoHeightRows="5">
    I expect that once that the number of rows in the table is greater than 5 then the range navigation controls be displayed. But this doesn't happen, the table gets simply truncated displaying the last 5 rows and the other ones aren't available. What I'm doing wrong ?
    Many thanks in advance for your help.
    Kind regards,
    Nicolas

    Timo, here is what the documentation says:
    "Range Navigation
    When the list being displayed by a Table is huge, you can enable the Table to break up the list into ranges and display a single range at a time. Range controls are provided on the Table to let the user scroll to the next range, or to go back to the previous range. If the total size of the list is known, a control to let the user jump directly to a particular part of the list is also provided on the Table. Use the Table attributes "rows" and "first" to control the range navigation feature. When the user changes the range, the T able fires a RangeChangeEvent . "
    So, it apears that, as a matter of fact, there are next and prev buttons when the list is larger than that the table. Additionally, there is no any scrollbar slider as soon as the list gets bigger than the table. Last but not least, the JDeveloper's Component Palette doesn't expose any othe table type than ADF Faces one. If by "use Trinidad tables" you mean "use manually Trinidad tables", well, I'm afraid that thhis is not acceptable for a Java IDE aiming to replace NetBeans and Eclipse.
    But thank you, anyway, for your reply.

  • How to move ADF table range navigation towards left?

    Hi All,
    I am using jdev 10.1.3.4. The page I am working is showing a table with many columns. So I need to scroll horizontally to see the table navigation.
    Is there any way to move the table range navigation to the left so that I dont need to scroll?
    Can it be done with using skin selectors?
    Can anyone help me regarding this?

    If you can do it I guess you have to use skinning.

  • How to change control in adf table

    Hi
    I am using jdev 11.1.2.1.0
    I have a view object which have one boolean type transient field and set the control type in UIHints tab to CheckBox.
    I create a jsf page and drop the iterator from data control (Created by that view object).
    On jsf page the control for transient field is check box and I want to convert it to radio button.
    Whenever I am converting this from property window radio button is not displaying on output window.
    Please solve the problem and help me out.
    Thanks

    Hi Sudipto Desmukh
    I am not using LOV for that transient field.
    I just add a transient field in view object.
    Let me explain more about my application that what I want to do.
    Actually I am creating a finance approval application
    I have 2 tables(header and detail)
    On jsf page I take paneltabbed layout which have two tabs one for header and other for detail.
    On first tab I drop header table to create adf table.
    There is on concept which I want to implement that is row locking.
    Means whenever user select any row of header in first tab and press on claim button the associated detail should be display in second tab.
    and that particular record should not be display to any other.
    To select a particular row in header I am using a transient attribute(Named select type boolean) in header view object.
    now I want to display this attribute on jsf as radio button so that user can select only one row to claim.
    i.e. if the value of radio button become true ,that particular row is ready to approve by that user.
    How should I do the same ?
    Please provide the help
    Thank you

  • Issue with ADF table range paging and sorting

    Hello,
    We have a requirement to support pagination in ADF tables. For this, we have made use of Range paging access mode in the view object level. The paging works perfectly fine with this. But we have another requirement of letting the user do a sort on the table (Yes!! The paginated table). The sort should be applied on all rows in the db and the control should return to the first row.
    Applying sort as it is provided by the fwk, sorts the records in the obtained range only. So we have over ridden the Sort listener in Managed bean for this and are able to acheive the sorting of all rows through a AM method call. We are seeing a problem after this. If the sort action is applied to the key attribute then the previous and next range navigation works fine. If the same action is applied to non-key field, then some times (yea!! This is not consistent) the next set is not fetched.
    Here is the code snippet that is called on Next navigation:
    Map<String,Object> pfScope = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getPageFlowScope();
    Object objPageNumber = pfScope.get("pageNumber");
    int pageNumber = 0;
    if(null != objPageNumber)
    pageNumber = new Integer(objPageNumber.toString()).intValue();
    BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    JUCtrlRangeBinding view = (JUCtrlRangeBinding)bindings.getControlBinding("GeDmRequestVO");
    int iRange = getTable().getAutoHeightRows();
    int currentPage = view.getIteratorBinding().getNavigatableRowIterator().getRangeStart()/(iRange + 1);
    System.out.println("Before " + view.getIteratorBinding().getNavigatableRowIterator().getRangeStart());
    System.out.println("Current : " + currentPage);
    System.out.println("Page Number : " + pageNumber);
    System.out.println("Range : " + iRange);
    System.out.println("Value : " + iRange*(currentPage + pageNumber));
    view.getIteratorBinding().getNavigatableRowIterator().scrollRange(iRange*pageNumber);
    System.out.println("After " + view.getIteratorBinding().getNavigatableRowIterator().getRangeStart());
    Although, the new values are not refreshed in the table, the SOPs for before and after print the proper range sizes. And as I mentioned above, the above code works perfectly fine if there is no sort applied or when key attribute is sorted.
    Would appreciate your help on this regard with navigation after non-key attribute sort.
    Thanks,
    Chitra.

    Hi Chitra,
    Can you specify some links to implement RangePaging.....We need to implement pagination.If possible can you share the code or specify the steps how you achieved it.
    Thanks

  • Showing a floating decimal in a adf table

    hi there,
    i hava created a adf table out of a data control, the problem in the bean i have strings and a double value.
    The strings a shown, but the double value (very tiny values like 1.36E-6) are rounded to 0, but thats isnt well in my case....
    so how can i show the floating point notation???
    thx
    grettings
    hannes

    Where do you get the floating point numbers from? From the db via an entity object (EO) or a view Object (VO) or from an EJB?
    You only mentioned that you used a data control.
    If the values are read from the DB and your business layer uses EOs and/or VOs, you go to the model project, search the EO in question in the application navigator and double click it. Then select the 'Attributes' section of the wizzard and follow the instructions from the previous posting.

  • How to delete a selected row from adf table

    Hi
    I am using a ADF Table to get data from the database, i need to select a specific row and then delete it how to get
    this done.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Or try this code:
    In your backing bean:
        public void deleteRows(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
            ((AppModuleImpl)getApplicationModuleForDataControl()).deleteRowEmp();
        public static Object resolveExpression(String expression)
                try
                    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
                    Application app = facesContext.getApplication();
                    ExpressionFactory elFactory = app.getExpressionFactory();
                    ELContext elContext = facesContext.getELContext();
                    ValueExpression valueExp =
                        elFactory.createValueExpression(elContext, expression, Object.class);
                    return valueExp.getValue(elContext);
                catch (Exception e)
                   ;// log you message here
                return null;
             * Get application module for an application module data control by name.
             * @param name application module data control name
             * @return ApplicationModule
            public static ApplicationModule getApplicationModuleForDataControl()
                return (ApplicationModule) resolveExpression("#{data.AppModuleDataControl.dataProvider}");
            }In your AppmoduleImpl:
        public void deleteRowEmp(){
            this.getEmpView1().removeCurrentRow();
            this.getDBTransaction().commit();
        }And another option is to expose the appmodule method as a client and bind to the jspx as a button.

  • Bind a new view object to same adf table at run time

    Hello,
    I have an adf table, that changes based on the type of data the user selects. For example, lets say we have a page that consists of type drop down box at the top and an ADF table at the bottom, which lists data based on the type that is selected from the drop down box. For example, lets say, I have the types (Cars, Planes, and Trains).
    Let's further say we have a view object for cars, one for Planes and one for Trains. Each VO has its own specific set of attributes associated with them, which in should be reflected in the adf table that's on the screen.
    So for example, I select Train..
    My table should contain the columns, num cabs, train type, year built
    For plane, the columns might be Num engines, plane manufacturer, size(ie. 747, 727, etc), year built
    Some type of thing with Cars , cylinders, color, model, year, etc.
    Is there a way to tell my adf table to use a specific view object(ie. Plane, train, or car) at runtime?

    You can try implementing this with dynamic components, e.g. dynamic table
    >
    ADF Dynamic and ADF Read-Only Dynamic Table: Allows you to create a
    table when the attributes returned and displayed are determined dynamically
    at runtime. This component is helpful when the attributes for the
    corresponding object are not known until runtime, or you do not wish to
    hardcode the column names in the JSF page. For more information about
    working with dynamic components, see Section 26.7, "Using a Dynamic Form
    to Determine Data to Display at Runtime."
    >
    Or you use dynamic regions and swithc the region containing the table depending on the selectOneChice. Check http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24382_01/web.1112/e16182/taskflows_regions.htm and https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/adf_dynamic_regions_switching_just

  • ADF table: How to find out which rows were modified by the user

    Hi,
    I am using ADF table to display data that can be modified by the user (ReadOnly = false in the input text). I need to find out which rows were modified by the user, and only update (persist) those rows in the database.
    Is there an easy way to find out which rows were modified by the user.
    I am NOT particularly concerned with which columns were modified as I would update the entire row (if any data in that row is modified).
    I am using Oracle JDeveloper version 11.1.1.3.
    Thanks,
    Ash K

    Thanks Timo.
    I am using ADF Data Control (which are created from Web Service proxy) to display/update the data.
    In the backing bean, the operation that is invoked at the time persisting data is as follows:
    public void commitOperation {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("operationA");
    DCIteratorBinding dciter = (DCIteratorBinding)bindings.get("someIterator");
    for(int i=0; i<dciter.getViewObject().getEstimatedRowCount(); i++)
    Row row=dciter.getRowAtRangeIndex(i);
    SomeObject someObject= new SomeObject ();
    someObject.setAttr1(row.getAttribute("Attrbute1").toString());
    someObject.setAttr2(row.getAttribute("Attribute2").toString());
    objectList.add(someObject);
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("param1", objectList);
    ResultObject result = (ResultObject) operationBinding.execute();
    Inside the for loop (or any other place in the backing bean), I would like to figure out if the row was modified by the user. Please let me know if how to get that. If ADF provides this automatically, that would be GREAT.
    Thanks,
    Ash K

  • Adf table columnStretching issue when using with in panel splitter

    My Scenario is like this:
    I have used adf table with columnStretching to last column of table. And the table is placed at second facet of panelSplitter. On load it covers full area of second facet which is pretty good. When try to collapse panelSplitter, arround 2 pixel of horizontal scrollbar appears at bottom. Even on uncollapse the panelSplitter to original orientation, the extra space remains there which makes horizontal scrollbar with 2 pixel gap for movement at bottom of table.
    Is Anyone facing this kind of issue? And how can I solve the issue?
    Thank you for your help and responses in advance. YOur help will be very much valuable to me.

    Hi Frank,
    I am using FF, Chrome and also IE in different compatibility mode. While wrapping with panelCollection it works fine. But the menu bar section and status bar is introduced on panelCollection which I cannot use in my work.

  • Creation of PDF Document  using ADF Table data in new window

    Hi Guys,
    I have a requirement of creating a pdf document from adf table and it must open in a new window.I know creation of pdf document using itext pdf jar.But in my case how to write the table data to pdf and how to open it in new window.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas.

    In the TF do like this..
    view activity A-------dialog:invokePdf------->view activity B (invokePdf)
    Fragment A command button would be
    <af:commandButton action="#{pageFlowScope.PdfBean.openPDF}"
    text="Generate" id="cbpdf"
    useWindow="true"
    windowWidth="700" windowHeight="700"/>
    in the action add a return like return "dialog:invokePdf";
    Control flow outcome is "dialog:invokePdf". B would be just a empty fragment.
