ADI Error

A user is running ADI through a Citrix Enviroment, We have been running it in this Enviroment for a number of years, But recently the user is having an issue where the applicaiton just seems to crash for no reason with the following error :
An Unexpected Error Has Occurred in ADI:
Routine: MAINGLDI: Do Template
Source: oraGLDI32
Message: Object variable or With block variable not set
Error Number: 91
It is recommended that you run the Diagnostic Wizard to verify that ADI is correctly installed
I have ran the diagnostic wizard but it doesnt seem to point to any errors.
Any advice welcome, Thanks.

Web ADI error

Hi,
We have changed the BNE: Upload Staging Directory profile path as we were getting empty excel sheets when we were exceuting FGS reports and after chaging this profile path the users were facing the below error when they are using Web ADI
Fatal Error: Please have your system administrator view the bne.log.file. java.io.FileNotFoundException(The Network path was not found)
When I asked my DBA if the provided path in Production is a valid path then he changed the path again and asked to clear the browser cache and test the issue again. After clearing the browser cache when users tried using ADI they are getting Empty Excel sheets.
User has the Internet explorer setting and Excel setting properly.
Kindly let us know if we need to verify any other settings or profile options.
Any help is much appreciated.

WEB ADI Error with Excel - Compile Error

I am trying to export data to Excel. The process works until the data is loaded to Excel whereupon I get a Microsoft Visual Basic error "Compile Error: User-defined type not defined.
Behind the error message is several screens from VB with the following line highlighted "Dim oParser As New SAXXMLReader30"

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.

Web ADI - Error in BneMailMerge()

Hi,
I have configured a Web ADI letter for Contract Printing and I get an error in BneMailMerge() as the view attached with Integrator doesnot fetch any row.
But when I execute the same view from Pl/sql developer,it fetches the rows properly.
Any hints,what can be the cause of this issue.

Jujaar,
I had this same issue but for me it was with the view that I was using i.e it didnt have proper joins. I would suggest to check your Visual Basic security settings in MS Word if thats what you are using though I realize that this error shows up at the end when it attempts to open the letter.

I have created a custom integrator and I am trying to load the data using Web ADI but I am getting some errors
I am trying to load some rows.
when I click on upload it gave me prameter window to select all rows or flagged rows(Normal) but when I click on upload after that I got the 1st error which says{color:#ff0000}"*The Server is Uable to Complete The Upload. Please contact the system administrator"*{color}when I click on close its getting closed but ....when I click on cancel ({color:#ff0000}X{color}), I got 2nd warning message {color:#ff0000}*"Warning-The upload process cannot be canceled, Press OK to return to the processing page"* {color}and when I click ok then I got the 3rd message confirmation that the rows got loaded sucessfully and some times when I try to load the data I am getting an Error message saying*{color:#ff0000}" Please Resolve the{color} {color:#ff0000}following error to{color} {color:#ff0000}continue, Internal Page Flow Error".*

We have a custom integrator which queries the records and downloads into excel sheet. There is parameter list attached to it. One of the parameter is on a field which can have NULL. When we try running the ADI , we are getting the error :
Fatal error: Please have your system administrator view the bne.log file.
java.lang.NullPointerException

Create a view on your table, that you will use for inserts.
Then, create a trigger INSTEAD OF INSERT on your view. You can perform the checks for uniqueness in it...

Web ADI Error: Permissions and Connection Issues (Please Help)

I'm new to WEB ADI and I'm trying to set up on an 11.5.10 Oracle Application. I'm reading the white paper "Understand and using Web ADI in Oracle HRMS" From metalink
I created the functions Create Document, Web ADI Layout Definition, Web ADI Text Mapping and HRMS Create Document. I also create the sub menus HR ADI Seeded Integrator Form Functions and HR ADI Skills Seeded Integrator Form Functions in the menu US_SHRMS_NAV, and made sure the ‘BNE Allow No Security Rule’ is set to Yes
I was able to get the seeded download procedure to work, however the seeded upload procedure didn't work for me. I received an error " The connection to the server is unavailable". I also notice that I don't have access to HR Update Salary Proposals Integrator or the HR Integrator Setup integrator, when I select them from WEB ADI I get the following error "You do not have permission to access this functionality."
Can someone please assist me in get passed these issue?

ADI error processing

Hi,
I have an ADI upload application to call a wrapper plsql package which then calls a Standard API.
If there are 50 records in an excel sheet, WebADI processes all of these records one by one and doesn't stop at the first error.
Is there a way we can make webADI to stop processing at the first errored record?
Most troubling thing is that it says 'No rows were uploaded' after the process but it has processed some 30 out of 50 correctly but doesn't give a green smiley against those records.
It works very well if all records are processed. All records get a green smiley.
Is there a way to control this behaviour?

Thanks for your response.
I call a standard API from plsql. Std API does a COMMIT automatically. So, I don't have any control on this although my wrapper doesn't COMMIT anything.
What's more worse is I don't get a green smiley for the records that are processed.
If there 20 records and all 20 are success, then I get green smiley for all.
But if one fails, I don't get green smileys.
Is there anything I can do about this.

What can be the cause of Web ADI error : Cannot execute SQL statement?

I created a custom integrator in r12.2.3 and while loading I encountered an error, Cannot execute SQL statement.
I checked my setup in Interface attribute , the RUN_ID column has a default type SQL QUERY with a default value SELECT XXCONV_EAM_ASSET_NUM_S.NEXTVAL FROM DUAL.
If I have a right setup here, what can be the cause of this error?

ADI not working for multiple records

We currently have an issue with ADI. The ADI we have produces an MS Word letter based on a custom view and custom integrator.
On the person form, when I query for an employee and the resultset is 1 our ADI is working fine and the letter/word document is generated.
When the query returns more than one employee, the Web ADI errors. It does not download any records into the excel file and then when it tries to open the word document it asks for Header Record Delimiters?
In the excel document I get a Run-Time error '5922' Method 'Run' of object '_Application' failed.
Is there a setting that only restricts ADI to return one row from this form?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ADI Diagnostic Wizard

I have recently installed ADI 6.0 on a Windows 2000 SP2 machine. After completing the install and re-booting, the diagnostic wizard states
"Oracle Installer Registration file cannot be found. ADI has not been successfully installed in this environment."
I would appreciate any help you could render.

SYSDBA does not have privilege to create user

I have a fresh Oracle Database 11.1.0.7.0 installation.
I am able to connect to the database using either of the following commands from Linux :
sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
sqlplus "sys/pwd as sysdba"
But after I connect, I am not able to create user. Following command gives me error:
SQL> create user adi identified by adi;
create user adi identified by adi
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
SQL>
My assumption was that sysdba role has unlimited privileges, then why does the database throw this error.

Hmmm....
Is the database you are using the one that you can create during the software installation?
If so, the first thing I would recommend is to use DBCA and drop that database.
It is a play database, and not configured for much of any real purpose.
Aside from that, it could be anything, but it obviously shouldn't happen.
When you (normally) create a user, you would specify a user, password, default tablespace, adn temporary tablespace, then quota on the default tablespace. Next, you would grant roles and privileges accordingly to meet your needs.
The problem with the play database is that you may not even have any tablespaces besides "SYSTEM" to create the users, and you wouldn't want to put them into the SYSTEM tablespace anyway.
Back to my recommendation: use 'dbca' and drop and recreate the database using an appropriate template (or customize it yourself for your needs).

I found the Patch 8639133 for R12 but our environment is 11.5.10.2.
So, my question is: is there a patch for 11.5.10.2 can fix this issue?
