Adobe interactive forms: Book and/or documentation

Hi all,
next week I will start a project abount Adobe interactive forms in a huge company here. Therefore I want to read documentation and/or a book about this that I can learn to develop with this functionallity. I have done a lot of changes with SAP Script. Where can I find good documentation or a good book (checked also SAP PRESS) about AIF?

How to binnding the data in the adobe interactive forms for making a table?

Function:
Through the sharing context node between adobe interactive form and a WDA for ABAP, display the data of the sflight_node in the ADOBE.
version:
Acrobat Reader 8.1.0
currently both of the SAP-ABA and SAP-BASIS SP level: 9
ADS : Successful.
The following is my action:
1.     Create a interface (Z_SFLIGHT_INTF) with a attribute node (SFLIGHT_NODE) that type is "sflight" using the transaction code "sfp"
2.     Create a form (Z_SFLIGHT_FORM) using the transaction code "sfp" with the interface Z_SFLIGHT_INTF.
3.     Trag the sflight_node in the Z_SFLIGHT_INTF to the form( Z_SFLIGHT_FORM).
4.     Open the layout tab in the form(Z_SFLIGHT_FORM), and create a table(table1). Click the table created just now, select the binding tab in the object tab, and in the Default Binding, select the SFLIGHT_NODE under the Z_SFLIGHT_FORM.
Problem 1:
Do you tell me whether is right for binding the context SFLIGHT_NODE using this way? If bind 3 context attributes in the sflight, how can I do it?
5.     Create a WDA for abap (ZZ_02_SFLIGHT), and create a view(MAINVIEW) using transaction code "se80" in the sap-gui with adobe interactive form. Set the templatesource(Z_SFLIGHT_FORM) in the adobe interactive form properties and saved, and then, datasource is "MAINVIEW_Z_SFLIGHT_FORM" automatically.
6.     But I only found the attribute SFLIGHT_NODE under the context node(Z_SFLIGHT_NODE), and I don't found the NODE ( SFLIGHT_NODE ) context in the context tab in the WDA for abap so that I don't set data to the context NODE (SFLIGHT_NODE).
Problem 2:
Do you tell me what can I do it so that I get the node SFLIGHT_NODE rather than attribute in the WDA for setting the data to the CONTEXT NODE (SFLIGHT_NODE)?

I am a begineer to ABAP PDF Form development. Anyone could help me to develop Adobe interactive forms (online and offline cases) using ABAP WebDynpro. I would need Thanks.step by step procedures to develop quickly. I have found the material mostly related to Java. Please suggest some links related to ABAP WebDynpro. What aee the methods that would be called to update a form, open a form and upload/download a form.

How to display Adobe Interactive Form from ABAP (not WDABAP)

I have created a WD ABAP application that creates an Adobe Interactive Form (ZCI) and submits it for workflow. All of the data on the form is saved in custom itables in the SAP System. The end-users are supposed to save a copy of the form at the last step in the workflow before they "Acknowledge" the task in UWL. Once the acknowledge takes place, they can no longer display the form in UWL. They want an ABAP program that will read the data from the various custom tables and display a "print" version of the form (not interactive).
I am calling FM 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME' to get the function module for the form. I then call FM 'FP_JOB_OPEN' with the parameter IE_OUTPUTPARAMS-REQNEW set to ABAP_TRUE. The call to the form FM has the following EXPORTING parameters:

    /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS   =
      /1BCDWB/DOCXML         =
I understand the /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS but have no idea what needs to be done to for the /1BCDWB/DOCXML parameter. Can anyone offer any advice or assistance?

this is really simple - the reason you have that /1BCDWB/DOCXML is because you defined your form interface to have an XML based interface.
While this is great for ABAP Web Dynpro, because the XML is generated for you, this is NOT the case with regular ABAP.
You should choose ABAP Data Dictionary-Based Interface. You will then be able to add tables, structures and fields to your interface.
For instance, here's code from a program where I call the form in regular ABAP
data: ls_worksheet TYPE Zxxx_structure.
* Fill the ls_worksheet structure here.
* Call the generated function module
CALL FUNCTION ls_function
    EXPORTING
      /1bcdwb/docparams = fp_docparams
      worksheet          = ls_worksheet
    IMPORTING
      /1bcdwb/formoutput = ls_form_output
    EXCEPTIONS
      usage_error        = 1
      system_error       = 2
      internal_error     = 3
      OTHERS             = 4.
Notice I do not have the /1BCDWB/DOCXML Exporting parameter.
Just change your interface to a Data Dictionary Based, and add the tables/structures/fields to it.
then, go to your calling program, fill them, and pass the data through the Exporting parameter.

ISR with Adobe Interactive Forms: java.io.FileNotFoundException

I am currently working on an ISR with Adobe Interactive Forms project, and I must say that I find the configuration rather complex, however until now I kept making progress.
Now I've come to the next error given by webdynpro, when testing the scenario from the testbutton in transaction QISRSCENARIO:

Indeed, this path does not exist on our portal. I assume this has something to do with credential files, but since the ADS is running fine from ABAP I cannot see why.

How to save adobe interactive forms offline in blackberry

Hi Experts,
A basic question...
Can a user save an adobe interactive form in blackberry while he is not connected to the SAP system.
The user is not logged on to the internet(the user is offline/ not connected to the system)when he or she fills out the form.
Can the user access the adobe interactive form offline and save it in blackberry if he is not connected to the internet.

Short question. Is it possible that for example, an email
with a predifined body is send to a SAP SMTP port and that the content is read bij an service(for so far this is possible)and that this service creates an ADOBE interactive form autmatically and returns it by mail.
I have to know this, because it is a possible customer scenario.

Hi,
Adobe Interactive form can be generated and sent it via email by using a normal Java class. But that Java class should run in a server which should contain Adobe DocumentService.This java class can be archived as a par file and deployed on Portal server or can be written as a Webservice and can be triggered by clicking on a URL.

Adobe Interactive Forms no BAPIs or RFCs available

thanks to all who helped me get adobe interactive forms up and running
now that we can deploy an interactive form
our problem is no backend BAPIs or RFCs are available
for it, only custom dialog ABAP modules
is there any method where the form could get data
from back end without calling BAPI or RFC?

I believe there must be a misunderstanding here. While Adobe delivers sample forms both in Adobe LiveCycle Designer (only the form) and for their own server products (the LiveCycle series), this has nothing to do with Interactive Forms in SAP software. Adobe contributes 2 key technology components to the joint solution, but the business logic continues to be shipped by SAP only. This means that Adobe neither ships standard forms for an SAP system nor BAPIs.
In mySAP ERP 2004, a couple of pilot processes built with Guided Procedures were shipped to selected customers. These processes dealt with the creation and changing of master data. These processes are not generally available.
Interactive Forms is included in several environments, i.e. Web Dynpro for Java, Web Dynpro for ABAP, ABAP Workbench (for printing), Guided Procedures, Internet Service Request (ERP), and Business Intelligence. In NetWeaver '04, you can only use Web Dynpro for Java and ABAP Workbench.
There is NO OUT-OF-THE-BOX SUPPORT for BSPs.
If you wish to use KM functions, it'll be up to you to develop them for your process. You will need to persist the generated PDF form (it doesn't happen by default), and there is no standard delivery that includes KM functions.

is it possible to use Drag and Drop functionality together with Adobe Interactive forms in Web Dynpro ABAP? I consider dragging object (like texts) to interactive form placed in Web Dynpro.

I think I understand but just to make it clear. I use texts created using function module "SAVE_TEXT". In my Web Dynpro I select one or more of them and use the button "insert text" (with appropriate functionality behind it) to insert them to specified location in my PDF form opened in this Web Dynpro. Considering what you said it is not possible to replace this "insert text" button by drag and drop functionality. Am I correct?

Trigger workflow from ABAP webdynpro and attach an Adobe interactive form

I have a need to create an ABAP Webdynpro that will upload a completed Adobe interactive form and then route the form to multiple approvers thru workflow. I am having trouble finding any documentation or examples of passing the Adobe form in the workflow. Do I have to save the content of every field on the form to an internal table and then have every workitem call an ABAP webdynpro to render the form? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Extract and Load Adobe Interactive Forms

I need help in validating the following scenario
1 - Customer creates a .pdf (Adobe Interactive Form) in SAP ERP2005 with an editable field
2 - Customer mails the .pdf file from ERP2005 to a vendor or extracts the .pdf file to a central repository external to SAP
3 - Vendor receives the file, populates editable field (off-line), and saves the file
4 - Vendor sends the .pdf file back to the customer
5 - Customer receives the .pdf file and imports the file into SAP ERP2005 processing the respective data on the .pdf
My question is can you performs steps 2 and/or 5. If so, how? Does it require other tools like XI and Itemfield ConversionAgent to process the extract from SAP or load to SAP?

SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe is a basic technology that supports some of your requirements out of the box. In general you are describing a workflow in your first post, thus I would propose checking workflow-related documentation (e.g. Guided Procedures, Business Task Management). Web dynpro with adobe interactive forms and button submit

I'am new with webdynpro and adobe interactive forms so i just trying some example with an adobe interactive form with a submit button event handler inside the webdynpro. But i can't catch the event handler submit that i creaate on onSubmit property of the interactive form.

Adobe Interactive Forms - for Travel Expense Booking

Hi:
We are implementing Adobe Interactive Forms for Travel Expense Booking integrated with Portal (where user would download the form from portal locally to work offline and then upload it later when connected).
For the form to function properly, our consultants has asked to make following changes in the Adobe Reader settings on user machine:
1. Under Edit -> Preferences -> Internet -> Check "Display PDF in browser"
2. Under Edit -> Preferences -> JavaScript -> Check "Enable Acrobat JavaScript"
3. Under Edit -> Prefenences -> Security (enhanced) -> Uncheck "Enable Enhanced Security"
All the above three changes are opposite to our current settings. And our IT group is seeing a major secutity threat to company network on making the above changes.
I wanted to check how other companies with Adobe implementation are handling the above changes? Is there any work around to these changes?

you have to get really creative when trying to dynamically control the form without javascript / formcalc.
One of my little secrets (you owe me big points here) is that I prepare my output in a series of tables when possible.
For instance, in SAP i'll fill an internal table with
Customer | Sales Order Number
12345 | 80002038
Date | 09/15/2011
Special Instructions | Deliver around back
something like this... then I drop this table where I need it. However, if there are no special instructions, I simply do not fill that info out in my internal table. This has the effect of "hiding" the field.
