Adobe plus WS word

I am ordering my 20" dcp on Mon or Tues...I will be migrating from PC...
On my PC I create my invoices using Works...
It's a word doc created by works (there is a spreadsheet imbedded) I also have Adobe acrobat installed and can create a PDF right from the doc by clicking PRINT ---> Acrobat PDF writer as my printer.
Now I understand the office free trial will be included on my Mac, and I am hoping the PC docs will open up correctly (word alone won't do it...It needs works)
But how will I create a PDF??
Thanks! Can't wait for my new MAC!
Imac 20 dcp   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   Waiting for my Mac

I am not familiar with Works. Office for Mac has Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Entourage.
Mac OS X will make PDFs in a similar way, Print and then choose PDF.

Part of the problem in helping is likely that there is no program Adobe -- that is the company name. You are in the Acrobat forum, but it sounds like you have subscribed to Export PDF or such, a different program. The subscription to Acrobat is currently $19.99 per month.

    Hi guy beyond,
I wish I could get that straightened out for you, but I think the quickest way is for you to have a quick chat session with Customer Support.  Click the Chat link at https://www.acrobat.com/misc/en/contact-support.html, and a Customer Support agent will be able to assist you with that. • HELP! Conversion to Adobe PDF - Causing Word 2003 to Freeze Up!!

I searched the forum and couldn't find anything addressing this. I'm trying to create 508 compliant PDFs out of Word 2003 (Windows XP), using Acrobat 8.0 Professional. So far, no success.
I open the Word document. The Adobe PDF and Acrobat Comments menus are displayed on the menu bar. I select "Standard" settings, then "Convert to Adobe PDF."
Word gets about 10% into the conversion, opens a "Now printing Page 1..." popup, and that's it - the application freezes completely and I have to restart the program.
Is there some setting that's conflicting with this command? What can I do to make this work?? It's driving me COMPLETELY crazy.

You likely do not have AcroTray running in the background and so the print process fails.

  • Adobe Plus Members for PSE9

I have been an Adobe Plus Member since 2007. I have installed Photoshop Elements 9 and am no longer getting the artwork and templates and I lost all of the ttemplates and artwork that I had received. I contacted Adobe support and they had no answers.  Does anyone have any suggestions>

    Hi,
If you have installed PSE9 then you will be getting all the templates and artworks that would have been installed with the application.
If you are talking about the plus templates and artworks, then you have to relaunch the application and after a while choose the templates/artworks. You will be geeting the plus content with plus band on it. If you have already downloaded, then choose the Plus content only in the filter drop down.
Please post back if the above mentioned scenario is not working for you.
    Thanks

  • Convert Adobe Form into Word Format

    Hi Friends,
My question is very straight forward -:
Is there any way / any Function Module to convert the adobe form into word format ? Is this possible ?
    Regards,
    Debi

Hello, could you please elaborate a little more? Have you tried this? What was the result?
I mean: Adobe forms are often very complex, I would like to know how does the result look like. I have no DMS/ DMS experience to try it myself so I thought you could describe some more details about this suggestion.

  • Create Adobe PDF from Word DOCX Issue

    Good Morning All,
We have stumbled across an apparently well-known issue, which annoyingly for all concerned does not seem to have a satisfying answer.  One rather long discussion is here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4237240.  There is at least one other which also alludes to the issue basically involving Office 2010 SP1 and having the Word user template location re-directed to a network drive.  None of the suggested things have worked, and we do not want to even try the user template location on a local drive, we want a fix for what is really a fairly standard scenario.
I think we have found something new to add to the mix, this is noted later in the post.  For completeness I have also included a condensed version of events/stuff we have tried, to help anybody who reads this and may have an answer.
    Our scenario is as follows:
We recently performed a Microsoft Office 2007 to Office 2010 SP1 upgrade.  A week or so in advance of this we upgraded all those folks that had Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 to X, (v10.0.0).
Within a couple of days of the Office upgrade we had reports of an issue whereby users could not convert Word documents to PDF.  Window title: Create Adobe PDF, message: Unable to open the document <path to file>.  Please check to see if you have permission for the above file.  (The user always does have rights to the location.)
All machines are 32bit Windows 7 and well capable of running this OS and these apps.
Machine patching is maintained by SCCM.
Deployment of Acrobat and Office was done by SCCM.
    The issue broken down:
Conversion of Word documents to PDF fails in these scenarios:
Windows Explorer – right click of single file and ‘Convert to PDF’.
Windows Explorer – right click of multiple files and batch conversion option.
Outlook – Convert to PDF and e-mail.  (Error message is different, apologies I have no note of this to hand.)
It should be noted that conversion of any other file format works, plus conversion of Word documents consistently works inside the Word interface using Adobe toolbar.
Not consistently a user based issue:
It usually * fails for our main test user on her PC.  Although sometimes a single file or batch file conversion will work.  However the option in Outlook never works.  (* Every so often the single file and batch conversion’s do work for the test user, there is no obvious reason as we have not applied any fixes that worked!)
Everything works fine for the test user on my PC and another PC in her department.
Not consistently a machine based issue.
The process always works for me on my machine, but fails most of the time when I use the test users PC.
The process always works for a test account cloned from the test user’s actual account.
Giving local admin rights to the test user did not help.
    Summary of things tried:
Various forum suggestions have not worked:
Deleting/renaming normal.dotm worked initially but the problem returned within a couple of days.
    Registering some Adobe DLL's: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\PDFMaker\Office\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll & C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\PDFMaker\Common\AdobePDFMakerX.dll.
The Word Add-in tool bar is enabled.
The users name and intials are present in Word options.
There are no rogue temp files in %temp% or C:\users\<user>\appdata\roaming\microsoft\word.
    Stuff we have tried independently:
Repair Office install then repair Adobe install.
    Patching Acrobat to 10.1.1 & 10.1.4.
Remove and re-install of Acrobat, including patch.
Remove and re-install of Acrobat Pro and Reader, (using the official Adobe labs removal tool), including patch.  (When products were removed Office was repaired.  Just Acrobat Pro X was installed after, no Reader.)
During this work I noticed two files in %temp% which get updated when file conversion is attempted: amt.log and swtag.log.  After Googling these files I found there may be some interesting stuff in amt.log when the process fails.  Unfortunately this has not been the case.  There is no obvious log entry difference between a successful conversion and a failure.
However at this time I started to notice files in %temp% in the following format: cv*.tmp.cvr.  Google revealed these to be Office crash dump files.  Unfortunately these files are always zero bytes long and literally contain nothing to analyse!
So after clearing out all these .cvr files I ran Task Manager, and had %temp% open in a folder.  I then tried the conversion process:
    Firstly it fails!
Secondly a zero byte .cvr file is created and usually disappears right away.
Thirdly winword.exe appears and disappears quickly in Task Manager.
You can repeat this to your heart’s content by hitting the retry button!
The only thing I can add about my PC is that I never had Acrobat until I tried installing it to re-create the issue.  So it may be that my PC having no legacy Adobe install issues, (I only had Reader previously), was less prone to whatever is the root of this issue?  The affected machines in the field have at least been upgraded from v9.
As you can tell we have found it very hard to pin the issue down.  The circumstances for a failure are not consistently repeatable.  I do think the key thing we have noticed though is the obvious crashing of winword.exe when this process fails.  As evidenced by the creation of the cv*.tmp.cvr files and watching the process appear and disappear in Task Manager.  Nothing I have read elsewhere notes this, and it seems to me that winword.exe does not like being called in this way.  This is surely very key to the issue?

I should also add that there are no error messages appearing on screen when we have a failure, and nothing is logged in any Windows event log.
I have done lots more searching since first reporting this.  Lots of people have this issue going back to last year at least with Office 2010 SP1 Acrobat X.  No answers or fixes out there apparently despite being promised to some people who have done a bug report.
This is really not good enough.  I have reported our scenario as a bug report earlier today.  Hopefully I will get a proper fix, then I will gladly pass it on.

  • Printing from adobe acrobat or word

    Hi!
I have never been able to print the resulting file from inside the Word or adobe Acrobat applications on my Mac OSX G5. As long as I could save as
pdf on the desktop, and then open with preview and print from there I was
sort of happy. But if someone can tell me what is causing this problem already I'd be happy to fix this.
Now what brings me here is that documented abobe acrobat documents appear unfilled (none of the added text shows up) when I try and print such resulting pdf file e.g. when someone else has edited and sent me the file over an email. The added text is gone and I do not see it with preview prior printing either. This is quite ennoying. I can of course grab the screen and print the result, but the page is smaller this way. Note that the save as pdf and preview options upon printing from inside adobe acrobat are grey which
does not allow a way out of this situation.
So what can I do to be able to print documented pdf adobe acrobat documents? Any settings or explanation for my printing problems?

    Fallard,
No clue, (and sounds goofy to me)...
You might try downloading Printer Setup Repair from:
    http://www.fixamacsoftware.com/software/index.html
    It's shareware, and might help...
    Hope it helps a little!

  • MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.8): can't update adobe flash - now Word, Chrome, etc. all crashing on startup

I am not computer savvy, so if you answer, please be slow and deliberate. thanks!
Was having Adobe shockwave/flash problems while running Chrome, which is not completely unheard of. Restarted my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.8), which included a software update (though I'm not sure exactly what programs were updated).
Now Chrome will not run at all. Every time I start, it crashes immediately. Have tried SEVERAL times to trash/download it, but the same version seems to keep appearing in my Applications folder. Have also tried trashing the Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome folder to no avail. Appears back in its place after dragging it to the trash.
In addition, Adobe flash videos for Safari and Firefox (which I just downloaded as a tester) also will not work. Each attempt to update Adobe Flash also ends in a crash. And now I've discovered the same for everything Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The program shuts down and the Microsoft error message appears breifly, followed by the same crash "Mircrosoft Word Error Reporting Quit Unexpectedly" box.
Again, have tried several times to download Chrome & Adobe Flash to no avail. All system updates have been made to date. What to do next?

Has your computer started running slowly as well?  Everything taking forever to work?
if so, this is the same type of issues I'm having.

  • Downloaded Adobe 9 -- Using Word 2007 to open PDF doc (Error Msg)

I just updated to Adobe 9 and am getting this signature error message when trying to open a pdf doc from MicroSoft Word 2007:  appname: acrord32.exe appver: 9.3.0.148 ModName: acrord32dll ModVer: 9.3.0.148 Offset: 001937fa
Am not able to get beyond the error msg.
    Help anyone?

I have MicroSoft Word Office 2007.
I recently upgraded from Adobe 8.1 to 9.3.  Now, I can no longer open pdf docs.
I am getting an error that says: "Adobe Reader 9.3 (or 8.1) has encountered a problem and needs to close."
I have uninstalled 9.3 and reinstalled.  I have uninstalled 9.3 and reinstalled 8.1.  I have gone back to 9.3.
I have run 2008 Advanced Registry Optimizer.
The error signature when trying to open a pdf file w/ either Adobe Reader (9.3 or 8.1) is this:
AppName acrord exe AppVer: 9.3.0148 ModName: acrord32.dll ModVer: 9.3.0.148 Offset: 0019371a.
How do I get back to opening pdf docs??
