  • Adobe Premiere CC Crash on start up Windows 7 64-bit

Hey everyone.  I've been using Premiere Pro CC for over a year, and only just recently started having issues with it.  Now, every time I launch it crashes(not responding) before it even gets to the project screen.
    I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
    Intel i7 4820k 3.70 Ghz Processor
Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 graphics card with the latest drivers. 9.18.13.4052
    8 GB of DDR3 1333Mhz RAM
So far I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling all graphics drivers as well as Premiere with no luck.
I then uninstalled every single Adobe application, including CC.  Then reinstalled CC and Premiere by themselves.  Still no luck.
    Anyone ever encountered this??
Please help, I'm at my wits end!
    Thanks!

Have you cleared the preferences? If not, go to Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/7.0 [or 8.0 if you're actually on CC2014, not CC()7.x], and rename the "<username>-Profile" folder. Then when you launch, Premiere will create entirely new prefs.

  • Premiere Pro crashes on start Mac OS 10.9.5

    Hi there !
I'm doing video editing on a late 2009 mac with 2x2,26 Ghz Xeon
    System : 10.9.5
Was on CS6 and everything was fine.
At some point, had to switch to CC in another studio...
Thought it was not a problem as I am a CC suscriber anyway.
But after I installed Premiere Pro CC on my own Mac, I had the very unpleasant surprise to discover that it crashes on start,
    displaying this message :
Adobe Premiere Pro n'a pu trouver aucun module de lecture vidéo compatible...
(Yes, that's French for : Adobe PP could'nt find any compatible video player)
Any idea would be much appreciated !

    Hi,
Please go to following location move the Adobe folder to desktop,
    User Library >> Application support>>
    User Library>> Preferences>>
Make sure you're in user library not in system Library.
Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later
Please rename the Adobe folder in documents to old.adobe
    Now try and launch.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks

  • Adobe premiere Pro Crashing!! AND Crashing

    Hi ,
I have upgraded my Adobe Premiere Pro to latest available version 8.2 but still i am stuck with same crashing issue.
Application just quits randomly. editors are loosing their edit. Any one is having same issue?
    below is the system config
    Dell 7910 workstation
    Dual Intel Xeon Processor E5-2650 v3 (10C, 2.3GHz, Turbo, HT, 25M, 105W)
    32G 2133MHz DDR4 (4x8GB) RDIMM ECC
    Nvidia Quadro K5200 8GB (2 DP, 2 DL-DVI-I) (2 DP to SL-DVI adapter)

When you purchased the Dell, did you wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows from scratch?  If not, I do recommend it.  Starting with a clean system often fixes this type of abnormal behavior.

  • Premiere Pro Crashing on Start Up

I have installed Premiere Pro CC via the Adobe Creative Cloud. This is the second machine I have installed it on.
Everytime I try to run the program I get the generic messages as follows:
"Adobe Premiere Pro CC has stoppped working: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
    My specs are:
    Alienware M14XR2
    Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHZ 2.40GHZ
    RAM = 8.00 GB (7.88 usable)
    64 Bit Operating Sytem
GE Force GT 650M (Driver version 296.16)
    Windows 7, Service Pack 1
    So far I have tried:
Logging in and out of cloud.
    Restarting.
    Updating.
    Uninstalling and reinstalling.
    Running as administrator.
Accessing the exe file directly rather than through a shortcut.
Running with the graphics processor as 'integrated graphics' rather than with the 'high performance graphics NVIDIA' default option.
Please note that the last measure has meant I am actually able to get into the package and use for about a minute before the crash. Previously, it crashed within seconds of opening up. I guess this suggests that the problem is related to the graphics processor? I don't know. I know nothing about all this and it's the first time I've tried to use video editing software.
If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

You should disable any on-board or Intel graphics in the BIOS.  Run only the nVidia for all things.
Also, that driver is a bit out of date.

    Grazie in anticipo dell'aiuto
I downloaded Adobe Premiere Pro, and every time I try to run it I get this message: "Error starting Adobe premiere pro. Premiere Pro can not access the preferences folder. It 'possible that the user does not have permission ... .. ". I tweaked the permissions of the folders, but continues to repeat the same message, without even allowing the applications to open. What can I do?
P.S. The strange thing is that Premiere is the only program that harbor the "pro" ... all the others are just CC. I do not know if it can be a factor ....
    Thanks in advance aid

Doing Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 [says Encore and also for "All" versions of Premiere] will sometimes fix "odd" errors

  • Adobe Premiere Pro crashes on video preview

    Hello,
I was recently working on a project and had Premiere Pro opened, then I had to update my video card drivers, because I had all sort of visual glitches in my games, occasionally when watching movies and the drivers were completely crashing every now and then. At some point during the update my screen went all azure-colored and my computer was completely non-responsive, so I had to restart it, after some waiting. After which the drivers appear to have been installed correctly but when I tried to start Premiere it crashed after loading my project. After a reinstall the same thing kept on occurring, it turned out premiere can start by itself with no problems and even import video files, but the moment I put the video file on the preview window, either by dragging it or by putting it in the timeline, Premiere crashes.
My stupid video card is "SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 270X 2G G5", like I said I updated the drivers, because it was causing problems, it is still uncertain if the update fixed those issues, but now I have a problem with Premiere, which was working fine before that.
I also cleared the media caches, no effect. The crash occurs with any video file, not just with my last project.
    Any ideas?

Will do, however in the meantime I found out Premiere works fine if in a new project I set the rendering to be only software, without the GPU, also in all cases audio import, preview and playback are unaffected.
I was sort of hoping I could play games AND rend video, what are the chances of that?

  • Premiere Pro Crashes when starting.

    Hello,
I have been using all the apps for adobe CC fine except for this one. I have tried uninstall/reinstalling, running in every compatibility mode, updated all my drivers, and even downloaded it separately and got the same issue.
    My PC build is.
    Windows 7 Ult 64 bit
    Intel i5-4670k
    gtx 780 ti.
I  even updated the i5 integrated graphics card and that didn't help.

A variety of issues can cause PPRO to crash on launch. Here are what I'd consider the top ones:
a problem with the Preferences, or some other pref-related file in the Profile-<USERNAME> bin.
    the graphics driver
    third-party plug-ins
a problem with the cache files.
a problem with the project file (if you're loading a project...)
the Preferences files be set to read-only
the user not having administrator rights
a conflict/incompatibility with some OS setting
a problem on the licensing/authentication side.
A log file might help identify the cause of the crash. Please right-click 'My Computer', select "Manage," look under 'Event Viewer->Windows Logs->Application' to see if there's an event there from Premiere Pro. If so, copy the contents of that log and paste them here.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro crashing when doing nearly anything?

Usually, the program crashes when I import a file. If it doesn't crash by then, it will crash when I move a file to the timeline or create a new sequence with the file. I have reinstalled the program four times, and the errors persist. I've had the creative cloud on my computer for about a month, and I've always had this problem. Never had time to deal with it until now. I'm running a Windows 7 64 bit desktop. Can anyone help me fix this?

  • Adobe Premiere Pro - Crashing with OpenCL Hardware Acceleration on Export

    Hey everybody,
One of the major reasons I decided to buckle down and pay for PPCC was the OpenCL Hardware acceleration with AMD cards. I run two AMD Radeon 7870s in Crossfire right now, and I immediately noticed a huge difference in performance when editing. When it came time to export my video, though, Premiere Pro would crash after rendering around 2% of the full video. I've tried both with and without Crossfire activated but using OpenCL with Hardware acceleration crashed my export no matter what. As soon as I turned it back to regular Mercury Playback (software only), the project rendered just fine.
I currently have the lastest AMD drivers and have had no other issues with my card, and I also gave PPCC the latest update as well. Any idea why this might be happening? I wouldn't be surprised if I need to wait for a latest AMD driver in order to get things to work with the brand new CC apps, but I figured I'd farm my question out here just in case. I'm running on Windows 8 64 bit.

Yes. I have problems with my new AMD 1950 3GB. I creat 2h 20 min project on premiere cc and put on all material color correction. NO lumetri. Premiere crache on export about 1h after working.
I was editing AVCHD material and export from presets to Blu-Ray H264 and mpeg2 with the same result.
    My conf.
    Xeon E5-2620
    Asus Z9PE-D8 WS
    System&Apps disc: SSD vertex 3
    Project: veloci raptor 250GB
    Export: veloci raptor 250GB
    RAM: 32 GB
    Graf: radeon HD7950 3GB, Gigabyte
When I switch to my old card - nvidia - GTX470 everything just go fine and my export is finish perfectly.
I was using beta driver from amd 13.4.
It is confusing because I bought that card especially for Premiere CC, and I was thinking to bought second one, and maybe more...
Please help what can I do with it.

  • Adobe Premiere keeps crashing upon start up and in the middle of edits.

I have been through some technical assistance with your team. But it seems I've found more on the forums in relation
to my computer and what I need to make sure is up to date and yadda yadda.
I open my project and it will crash consistently, annoyingly. It seems to happen with an AVI file.
    Here's the video specs
    Here's my hardware.
I'm up to date on almost everything else. Any tips for me to keep this app running and actually functional?
    Thanks,
    Jeremy
    (CC customer)

I have read through quite a bit of all of this info. I don't necessarily want to buy anything extra unless I absolutely have to.
It's a strange camera that's for sure, Emerson has no website or support online. I will see if I can find a disc or possibly
just plug the camera into this computer and see if it gives me the CODEC. What about GSPOT?
Is this specifically what's crashing my Premiere? I have yet to try anything without that AVI/MJPEG file yet. It seems that
it handles the 264 just fine, it's the silly MJPEG that's kicking my butt. I read that it may have been corrupted
somewhere along the way. If that's true do I need to just scrap the file?

  • Adobe Premiere Pro Crashes During Export

When using Export Media, Premiere crashes about 40-60% through the export process. I've tried messing with the settings for days now, and always the same result. This snapshot is probably the 10th-15th attempt at exporting.
    Here's what happens:
    Computer specifications:
    Operating System
              Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
    CPU
              Intel Core i7 3930K @ 3.20GHz

    Motherboard
              Alienware 07JNH0 (CPU 1)
    Graphics

              DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device
    Audio
              Realtek High Definition Audio
    (Specifications from Speccy)
This is really aggrivating. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm having the same issue, though consistently at 6%, regardless of the project.
    Specs:  AMD FX6200 @ 3.8GHz
    16GB RAM
    Kingston HyperX 120GB SSD (OS/Apps)
    WD 1TB HDD (Data)
    GeForce 640GT (GDDR3)
    Win 7 Ultimate SP1 x64
This was working fine when I was running CS 5.5, but I bought the SSD, and bit the bullet did a clean install of everything and got CC since I was already using Photoshop CC.
