Is there a one line command to check if all the subprocesses of adstartal.sh are still active or running after sometime just to
check or validate or monitor them?
Something like to check the ff:
adapcctl.sh - Apache Web Server Listener
adalnctl.sh - Listener APPS
adcmctl.sh - Internal Concurrent Manager
adfrmctl.sh - forms server
adrepctl.sh - Reports Server
adfmcctl.sh - forms load balancing client
adfmsctl.sh - forms metrics serverfor
jtffmctl.sh - Fulfillment Server
addisctl.sh - Oracle DiscovererOr do I have to run each manually like > adapcctl.sh status apps/apps ?

hi helios/hussein,
I just done it manually for all the services checking for their status every hour and save it on text file for future analysis.
But there is one program that is hanging :( I wonder if it means it has problem. It is the "Fulfillment Server", when I run this command it just hang:
[appltrng@oracletrng Monitor]$ /uo1/oracle/oatrngcomn/admin/scripts/OATRNG_oracletrng/jtffmctl.sh status

Erratic behaviour of Concurrent Managers

We have PCP configured on 2 node EBS. We have recently started seeing that our FNDSM on node 2 stops working and also couple of other managers got deativated. When we try to start them manually they won't start. The only thing we do is to bounce application services as pointed out in "Note ID 245563.1 Concurrent Processing - The Concurrent Manager Fails to Start on GSM Enabled Due to DBMS_LOCK.Request ResultCall Failed to Establish ICM" which is not always possible in production:
ICM log file showed:
Routine &ROUTINE has attempted to start the internal concurrent manager. The ICM is already running. Contact you system administrator for further assistance.afpdlrq received an unsuccessful result from PL/SQL procedure or function FND_DCP.Request_Session_Lock.
Routine FND_DCP.REQUEST_SESSION_LOCK received a result code of 1 from the call to DBMS_LOCK.Request.

The Internal Concurrent Manager has encountered an error.
I went through the note: Concurrent Managers Will Only Start on One Node in PCP/RAC Environment (Doc ID 264296.1)
So I have questions regarding this:
1. Does ICM runs only on primary node as I believe?
2. When starting the application we start the node 1 and then node 2 by using adstartal.sh which internally executes adcmctl.sh on both the nodes, as the note points out we should run adcmctl.sh only from primary node. How to solve this problem?
3. If this issue is common how should we start application on another node and still not execute adcmctl.sh?

and trying to do cloning, Database cloning is succesfull, but while doing application cloning we are getting the above error at the stage of 73%, the error message is as follows..

The script adsvalsn.cmd fails when I run AutoConfig. How do I resolve this issue?
Answer:
Check in your Service Control Panel to see if the 806 listener service is set to automatic or manual.
If your service is set to automatic, then you hit a known issue, that can be ignored. You can use the following workaround to resolve the issue:
copy %AD_TOP%\bin\adstart.exe %COMMON_TOP%\util\SrvStart.exe

Done the workaround as well as the services is "manual", still the same issue.

We ignored the error and tried to start the application..
The forms are not opening..
FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup.This could happen due to invalid configuration.

Rapid Clone hangs on 50% on Windows 2003

Hi,
I am running Rapid Clone for the first time on a fresh install of 11.5.10.2 on Windows 2003.
I have applied all preprequisites and patches to the source environment, as per Metalink note 230672.1.
I have successfully prepared the source system, copied the souce system to the target system and configured the target system database server.
However when I attempt to configure the target system application tier, I get a small error message saying 'Installation failed'. The cloning process continues to run but hangs at 50%.
The command I am executing is:
cd <COMMON_TOP>\clone\bin
perl adcfgclone.pl appsTier

I have noted from Metalink Note 218089.1, FAQ 55 that there is a known issue with adsvalsn.cmd and AutoConfig. I have applied the solution:
copy %AD_TOP%\bin\adstart.exe %COMMON_TOP%\util\SrvStart.exe
and re-run adcfgclone.pl.
This gets rid of the error message but the process still hangs at 50%.
Any assistance is gratefully received.

Many thanks for your replies, I have now successfully completed rapid clone.
I checked the log files and there were no errors. The information I posted above was the final entry in the log file.
Unfortunately I am having to perform this clone through remote desktop which is not ideal but unavoidable.
For those of you attempting to rapid clone 11.5.10.2 on Windows, I found the key areas to be:
(1) Before running adcfgclone.pl on the Apps tier:
Add the target <806 ORACLE HOME>\bin to the system path.
If, like me, you're unable to restart the server to globally export this variable (there's another running environment on the machine), you can set this dynamically in the command window by issuing the following command:
set PATH=<806 ORACLE HOME>\bin;%PATH%
To check if it's correctly set:
echo %PATH%
(2) Before running adcfgclone.pl on the Apps tier:
copy %AD_TOP%\bin\adstart.exe %COMMON_TOP%\util\SrvStart.exe
This overcomes a known issue with adsvalsn.cmd and AutoConfig (Metalink Note 218089.1, FAQ 55):
(3) Whilst adcfgclone.pl runs on the Apps tier:
At 50% the process appears to have trouble starting the Discoverer service. Give it a helping hand by starting it manually in the Services console.
Now to see if everything works OK!
