Adump folder is populating with file without starting audit trail

Hi,
I am using Oracle 10g release 2 (10.2.0.3.0) on linux 64 bit, i did not activate Audit trial in my database, but the folder adump have files are being created with aud extension showing Audit of login.
Is it normal or Audit trail is on, as i checked the parameter Audit_trail, it is showing NONE
Is this normal or audit trail is ON.

SOAP to RFC synchronous scenario with File without BPM

Hi Folks,
I have a requirement that has to be done with out BPM!!!
Requirement:
Soap will trigger the request to SAP(RFC) and SAP sends the response to a file and then after SOAP has to recieve the ACK from PI.
1) Can we do this by without using BPM
2)Can we use without BPM module entries for SOAP Sender

Why not have the SOAP interface defined as synchronous?
You can avoid using BPM that way.

You can download a zip file like any files with the Webclient class, look at the details and examples in the msdn documentation for downloading content on demand it even talks about how to download and get a specific file from a zip archive.

Location or file name for Audit Trail Logs in Outlook

Is it possible to trace down each activity on outlook by it's log file (not sure if it's even generated). For example: If I need to check if my outlook mailbox has been updated with the Exchange Server 6 months back. And if not what was the error message
came at that point of time.
I am pretty sure it can be checked through the log file where it keep the track of all the errors for some particular timeline but not sure if it is generated by outlook.

1.If you wanted to know when an particular mailbox user has contacted an exchange server.You can use the below mentioned command to know the status.
get-mailboxstatistics -identity "nithya" | ft displayname,*logon* -au
2.In case if you wanted to track down the delegated and mailbox owner related activities for an individual mailbox , you can make use of mailbox audit logs.But by default it will not be enabled we need to enable the audit for the mailboxes manually.
3.In case if you wanted to track down the Exchange Admin related activities in exchange oraganisation,you can make use of Admin Audit logs.

I got the problem solved. It was pretty simple but new to me. I had evidently inadvertently switched the setting in the "View" tab on the dropdown menu so that all of my desktop folders were populated by all folders/documents residing on the desktop.
The solution was to open one of the folders, then go to the "View" tab and change the setting to "List." Presto, now all the folders include only the contents I had intentionally loaded into them.

How can I configure the save page mode (to save DEFAULT WITH OR WITHOUT images and other dependencies in a folder)?

I like it that I can save webpages with or without dependencies in a separated folder. And its implementation in Firefox (e.g. it remembers how I saved something before, and that way becomes the default) can also be good sometimes. But usually it is not.
Usually I want to save pages as HTML-only. Sometimes, but only sometimes I have to save a page as a whole (I don't know the name of the feature). But after I save something with dependencies, I often forget that, and don't care about this option. Firefox, however, doesn't forget it, and saves thousands of unimportant images, until I notice it and switch it off again.
This is not good.
I tried Google Chrome, which simply don't remember how I saves something before, and always select the complete page option for default. It is exactly the opposite of the perfect solution (in my opinion). The best would be if the browser would save everything as HTML only, if I don't change it. Or it would be even better if I could configure it manually (turn this remembering feature on/off).
This is not a beginner's problem, so it would be good if only a config option solved this. I imagine that already exists a config option for this, but I could not find it. I found only the "browser.download.save_converter_index" option, which depends on how I used it last time.
Is there a config option for this? Or should I report this in the Firefox brainstorm page?

Cookies every few days makes a *.bak file and starts anew (win7-64 with FF33)

Upgraded from FF5.1 to FF33. Only problem was black screen, fixed with hardware switch. Cookies are somehow storing a backup file every few days, and starting new file. Checked cookie settings and same as used in FF5.1
Last night hand purged about 2/3 of cookie file using FF33. File size didn't change (about 1534K)
Manually restored cookie BAK file twice, without problem.

Do you have security software or cleanup software that might be causing this and is cleaning out the cookies?
It is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.
*Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Build yields a folder with file, not a .aip file

Hi Everyone,
I'm using Xcode 3.1.2 and trying to complete the HelloWorld example from the "Getting Started With Adobe Illustrator CS4 Development" guide. I was able to get the program to compile (after figuring out some errors with 32bit long unsigned ints from other header files), but all I get is a HelloWorld file without an extension inside a folder. There was a folder in the path that was called HelloWorld.aip, but like I said, it's a folder and not a package. What could I be missing? I've gone over and over the steps, and I can't figure out what I may have missed.

Hello Dave,
This happens to me all the time if I leave the build output folder open in the Finder. Just close the folder before building and it should work fine.

Starting PDF Viewer with file

Hi, I want use the PDF Viewer (CL_GUI_PDFVIEWER) to display a pdf file without having to open it manually.
The demo program SAP_PDF_VIEWER_DEMO works well. It opens the PDF Viewer in place, you can zoom and print the file. And you can disable buttons (we don't want the files to be saved and we don't want the user to display different files).
The problem is you have to select the file manually. If I user 'open_document' at the end of PBO to transmit the file while starting the program, the command is being ignored.
My question: Does anyone has a tip for me?

Put your self a break point and change the value of

but I am not sure if this will help you. With 5 it was working on my PC this activeX control was existing. If version 6 ever existed, I dont know.
If the debugging works then make a copy and change it for real.

My iMac wont start. I get a white screen with a file folder. In the file folder is a ?, flashing.

What operating system do you use? If you use Lion, boot in recovery mode (Command and R buttons) and open Disk Utility to see if your hard drive is detected, and if it's detected, click "Verify Disk". If you use Snow Leopard or early, boot from your install DVD, click "Utilities" and open Disk Utility to do the same as for Lion. It sounds like your Mac doesn't have a bootable device, so it could be a lot of things (hard drive broken or formatted, hardware error, etc.). If this doesn't work, reinstall your operating system

Needing script to move files with name that starts with

Here is part of the script that takes a excel file for the list to duplicate files from one folder the another. I would like it to use file name starts with instead exact file name. If I can get this to work I will not have to have a try for .jpg and a seperate try for .eps

Ok here is the script that I've been using for a couple of years now with no problems, until I upgraded. Don't know what happened, because I cant even use it on a older system that we have. The error I get is when it tries to get the value of selection from Excel. It times out with no values. Thanks for any help!

I do not recommend reformatting your harddrive and reloading your software. This is a Windows thing. On an older mac it may be difficult to find all your software again.
Best to have greater than 2gig of free space. Many posters to these forums state that you need much more free space: 5 gig to 10 gig or 10 percent of you hd size.

Be careful when deleting files. A lot of people have trashed their system when deleting things. Place things in trash. Reboot & run your applications. Empty trash.
Go after large files that you have created & know what they are. Do not delete small files that are in a folder you do not know what the folder is for. Anything that is less than a megabyte is a small file these days.

What are the weird files that start with ._ that pc users get when I send zips?

When I send files that I zip using Stuiffit to pc users they get the files plus an equal number of files that start with ._ Does anybody know what these are and how to get rid of them?

Dot files are invisible files that OS X uses to display positions of files and folders icon for instance when you open a folder.
That is indeed what a .DS_Store file does, but that's not the ones Bogies is referring to.
There are various other items that start with a period, such as .Trashes. Every drive gets a trash folder, just as Windows does to each of its drives. While it hides its own trash folders from view, Windows doesn't recognize OS X's version of the trash folder, so you see it.
But you're likely talking about these. Every file you copy from OS X to a DOS/Windows formatted drive gets a ._ file. The Mac OS has a twin file system; the data fork, and the resource fork. Windows has only a data fork.
In order for OS X to maintain the resource fork data on a Windows drive, it has to write the resource data as a separate data fork file. So a file named foo.tif will also get a ._foo.tif file on the drive. Mac users don't see them since UNIX automatically hides anything that starts with a period. When you copy the file back to OS X, the data and resource fork info is combined again into a normal Mac file.
Most of the time, removing these are no big deal. They hold simple data like Type and Creator codes, modification dates, icons, etc. Others, like Mac Type 1 PostScript or Mac legacy TrueType fonts have all of the font data in the resource fork. Delete the ._ files for those types of fonts, and you're left with nothing.

Import Folder With Songs Without Show Them In Albums

I have 2 qustions i would like to ask ( sorry about my english)
1. I have a folder i made on my desktop with many songs from lots of artists. i want to make a playlist with all of this songs. i can drag all of them to the playlist i made but i don't want them to show in the albums or artists view. is there a way to do it ? i can change the info of the songs to have the same album name and VA artists name so i have only one album but i can only do this in itunes and i don't want to import the folder the itunes beacuse i don't want to have a mess.
2. when i play a song i have on my desktop it's automaticly had the song to itunes album and artist view - is there a way to disable it?

1) The moment you import the songs in iTunes, they will show up in album or artist view, no way to get around that. Why would you want that?

You won't make a mess if you do it like this:
- make a new playlist, name it.
- open your folder on your desktop in a finder window, and select all songs (command + A)
- drag these songs into this playlist, iTunes will add them to your library.
- in iTunes, rename the appropriate ID3 tags by selecting what belongs together (as I understand, everything, so again command + A), Get Info (Command + I ) or rightclick, edit the ID3tags, and press enter.
2) This is default normal behaviour. If a song is playable with iTunes, it will automatically launch iTunes when you double click it, and imported into your library.
If you do not want this, you want to open a song with another application, you can change the default app.
In the finder select a song from your folder, Get Info (command + I)
There you have:
Open with: iTunes (default)
Use the arrows to select another app to open it with
and then press "Change All"
From now on your music files will open in this other app by default if you click them.
(Note: you have to repeat this process for each different file format extentions, like mp3, AAC, wav, ...)
If you don't want that either, you just want to temporarily listen without importing them, you can always use the preview function, by selecting the file, and hitting the spacebar. This will open the file in a preview mode.
With the arrows up or down you can go immediately to the previous or the next file without leaving preview mode.
