AdvancedDataGrid column with arrylist of data

I have an advancedDataGrid with a column that has an arraylist of values to display.  I tried putting an itemrenderer with a repeater but it doesn't like that.  I also tried using the list control and datagrid control but had issues with setting the rowcount dynamically.
How can i display this column's arraylist and have it look and feel like one of the other columns in the grid?

I want to display the arraylist in that particular column like this
value1  something something something
value2 something something something
value3  something something something
How can i do this?

    Thanks for your reply ... it was helpful..
    here is the current CTL I use with the datafile above:
    LOAD DATA
    CHARACTERSET WE8ISO8859P1
       APPEND INTO TABLE IMPORT_PRJ_TIMESHEETS
       FIELDS TERMINATED BY '*-*' OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"'
    TRAILING NULLCOLS
    ( RESSOURCE_CODE       CONSTANT '!RESSOURCE_CODE!'
    , REFERENCE_DATE       CONSTANT '!REFERENCE_DATE!'
    , STATUS               CONSTANT '!STATUS!'
    , PROJET_CODE          CHAR "NVL(:PROJET_CODE, 'INDIRECT')"
    , TACHE_ID             CHAR
    , TACHE_DESC           CHAR
    , RAF                  CHAR "TO_NUMBER( :RAF, '999G999D99')"
    , JOUR1                CHAR
    , JOUR2                CHAR
    , JOUR3                CHAR
    , JOUR4                CHAR
    , JOUR5                CHAR
    , JOUR6                CHAR
    , JOUR7                CHAR
    , IMPORT_DATE          SYSDATE
    {code}
    I have removed line "  WHEN PROJET_CODE != 'ID projet'   "  , because when I use it, because column is NULL .. it doesn't take the NULL into consideration... and as a results, there is only one line loaded, and not the 3 others !
    Now, when I remove line "  WHEN PROJET_CODE != 'ID projet'   " , I get the results that I want (4 lines loaded), BUT a BAD file is created (with the first row, the one that starts with 'ID projet' )
    I understand that this is normal behaviour with this CTL.
    But would it be possible to not put this 'ID projet' line into the BAD file (so that the directory is not polluted with numerous BAD files)
       I was thinking with something like this :   "  WHEN NVL( PROJET_CODE, 'none') != 'ID projet'  "
           But this doesn't work..
    Do you have any advice to provide ?
    Thanks in advance

  • Pivoting table results so YearIDs become columns with all other data underneath them

    The table above has all the data I need for my report, however, I need to pivot the table so that each YearID (based upon corresponding fkYear) is a separate column and the rest of the data in each row appears under the appropriate Year ID.  I'm trying
    to pivot the table but I'm stuck on exactly how to do it.
    RandyHJ1957

    Ok, here is what I have so far as a PIVOT using a CTE
    WITH ActiveAccountCodes AS
    SELECT BWfkYear, BWYearID, BWFund, BWMajorObject, BWObject, BWObjectDescr, BWAmount, BWDescr FROM @TmpProposedAccountCodes
    UNION
    SELECT BWfkYear, BWYearID, BWFund, BWMajorObject, BWObject, BWObjectDescr, BWAmount, BWDescr FROM @TmpCurrentAccountCodes
    UNION
    SELECT BWfkYear, BWYearID, BWFund, BWMajorObject, BWObject, BWObjectDescr, BWAmount, BWDescr FROM @TmpBudget1AccountCodes
    UNION
    SELECT BWfkYear, BWYearID, BWFund, BWMajorObject, BWObject, BWObjectDescr, BWAmount, BWDescr FROM @TmpBudget2AccountCodes
    UNION
    SELECT BWfkYear, BWYearID, BWFund, BWMajorObject, BWObject, BWObjectDescr, BWAmount, BWDescr FROM @TmpBudget3AccountCodes
    SELECT BWObject, BWObjectDescr, Proposed, Current, Actual1, Actual2, Actual3, BWDescr
    FROM ActiveAccountCodes
    PIVOT(SUM(BWAmount) FOR BWYearID IN ([SELECT BWYearID FROM @TmpProposedAccountCodes AS [Proposed]], [SELECT BWYearID FROM @TmpCurrentAccountCodes AS [Current]],
    [SELECT BWYearID FROM @TmpBudget1AccountCodes AS Actual1],
    [SELECT BWYearID FROM @TmpBudget2AccountCodes AS Actual2],
    [SELECT BWYearID FROM @TmpBudget3AccountCodes AS Actual3] )) AS PVT
    The error I am getting now is where I attempt to define the Proposed and Current column headings using a select statement to get the right YearID for the right year.  I get a red line under Proposed and Current in the main query above the PIVOT expression

  • Help with creating oracle text index on 2 columns with partial html data

    Hi,
    I need to create an oracle text index on 2 columns.
    TITLE - varchar(255) = contains plain text data
    DESCRIPTION - CLOB = contains partial HTML data
    This is what I created.
    begin
    ctx_ddl.create_preference ('Title_Description_Pref', 'MULTI_COLUMN_DATASTORE');
    ctx_ddl.set_attribute('Title_Description_Pref', 'columns', 'TITLE, DESCRIPTION');
    end;
    begin
    ctx_ddl.create_preference ('bid_lexer', 'BASIC_LEXER');
    ctx_ddl.set_attribute('bid_lexer', 'index_stems', 'ENGLISH');
    ctx_ddl.create_section_group('htmgroup', 'HTML_SECTION_GROUP');
    end;
    create index Bid_Title_Index on Bid(title) indextype is ctxsys.context parameters ('LEXER bid_lexer sync (every "sysdate+(1/24)")');
    create index Bid_Title_Desc_Index on Bid(description) indextype is ctxsys.context parameters ('LEXER bid_lexer DATASTORE Title_Description_Pref sync (every "sysdate+(1/24)") filter ctxsys.null_filter section group htmgroup');
    The problem is when I do a CONTAINS(description, '$(auction)')>0. I get results where the descriptions have the "auction" word (which is correct). But, the results also returned rows where the search word is inside an IMG tag. e.g. <img src="http://auction.de/120483" alt="Auction Logo"/>.
    What I would like is to exclude rows where the search word is inside HTML tag attributes, results expected are rows having <a>Auction</a> or <p>For Auction</p> ... etc. Basically stripping the html tags and leave the text contents.
    I'd appreciate some input.
    Thanks,
    Amiel

  • Encrypt a Column with already existing data

    I have a table that stores sensitive data (cc numbers) how do i go about encrypting that data and then retrieving it in a report. For example the data is encrypted in the database and then the report decrypts it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jose

    What version of Oracle are you using? What edition? What optional packs do you have (assuming you're using the enterprise edition)?
    Do you actually need to store the credit card number? And report on a credit card number? That seems relatively unlikely. 99% of the time, you shouldn't need to retain the actual credit card number after the charge has been approved (it may make sense to retain the last 4 digits and the expiration date so that you can report that information to the user if they can browse your web site to look at past orders). And I can't think of a case where you'd want a report that lists a number of credit cards.
    Transparent Data Encryption (which requires the enterprise edition and the advanced security option) will encrypt the data at rest and transparently decrypt it when the data is queried. Any Oracle user that has access to the data will see the data unencrypted but the data on disk will be encrypted. Virtual Private Database (VPD) can be used to restrict which users can see a particular row (or a particular column) if you're looking to limit which credit cards a user can see.

  • AdvancedDataGrid - Add columns with ActionScript

    I'm trying to add columns to an AdvancedDataGrid via ActionScript.
    I can't get it to work.
    I've tried two approaches -- One with an intermediary array to store the columns then set the adg's columns to the array; One where I assign the columns directly to the adg's columns array.
    They both fail in their own way.  The columns don't "take" and the adg uses the dataProviders defaults, or there are no columns at all.
    "adg_test.mxml" has the AdvancedDataGrids/code.
    "adg_test_renderer.mxml" is a renderer for one of the columns.
    Would appreciate learning what I'm doing wrong.

  • Sharepoint: Syncing dates in excel columns with Project calendar.

    Hi
    I am two questions if you have some time to answer:
    First question: I am trying to create a detailed workflow for a Document App.  I basically want to sync dates from certain columns from a number of SharePoint excel spreadsheets
    with the calendar on SharePoint for my project.  The dates in the excel spreadsheet will continually change depending on the progress of the project due to cell formulas therefore
    i need those dates to change also in theproject calendar.  I am not sure if this can be generated in a workflow (?) or indeed if this is possible at all???
    I have tried to use the "Add a Workflow" link to try the above but it does not go into enough detail for me. I have SharePoint Designer installed but i am unsure of how to go about doing this.
    Second question: Is there a way to generate a workflow to sync tasks in the Tasks App assigned with "to be completed by" dates with the Project calendar?  I would like to be able to create a task, assign it to someone with a due date and then
    have that task appear in the project calendar.
    I would very much appreciate any help you could provide me with this.
    Thank you
    Ray

    Does anyone have any ideas on how to complete my task above???  I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
    Ray

  • How to insert data in a column with uniqueidefier data type

    Guys,
    I need insert data in a column with uniqueidefier data type, when i am trying to that getting error.
    error message says: "Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier."
    I have data in table a col1,col2,col3,col4 - col3,col4 has datatype as varchar and i am updating table b columns col1,col2 with table a col3 and col4.
    Please guide how to do it.

    Hi,
    Not any String can be convert to uniqueidentifier.
    1. you have to make sure u use a value which is fir to be uniqueidentifier
    2. Use convert or cast in the insert query in order to convert the string into uniqueidentifier
    insert X ... convert(uniqueidentifier, 'string which fit to be convert to uniqueidentifier')
    Please post DDL+DML for more specific help
    DDL = Data Definition Language. In our case that is, CREATE TABLE statements for your tables and other definitions that are needed to understand your tables structure and there for let us to test and reproduce the problem in our server. Without DDL no one
    can execute any query.
    How to get DDL: Right click on the table in Object Explorer and select script table as CREATE. Post these create table scripts here.
    DML = data manipulation language is a family of queries used for manipulating the data it self like: inserting, deleting and updating data. In our case we need some sample data in order to check the query and get result, so we need some indert query for
    sample data.
    If you post a "create query" for the tables and "insert query" with some sample, then we could help you without Assuming/Guessing. There is a reason that DDL is generally asked for and expected when discussing query problems - it helps
    to identify issues, clarify terminology and prevent incorrect assumptions.  Sample data also provides a common point of reference for the discussion. A script that can be used to illustrate or reproduce the issue you have, will encourage others to help.

  • Not able to save date column with custom date format. in OBIEE 11g

    Hi,
    I have migrated one report from OBIEE 10g to 11g. There is a date column with customized date format(i.e. Default format is 'dd-MMM-yyyy' and I have used 'MMM-yyyy').
    But when I use this custom format and try to save the report in 11g its giving this below error.
    ''Catalog object privilege validation failed for user to path /shared/ALM BI/Finacial Results/History Income Statement Detail.
    You do not currently have sufficient privileges to save a report or dashboard page that contains HTML markup.
    This HTML might be present in column headings, table headings, text views, narrative views, the print header,
    or the print footer and must be removed before saving.''
    Please let me know what changes I need to do for this.

  • Pre-populating a date/time column with the value entered in the last added item

    I have a list with a column called "expected finish date". Whenever the user adds the very first item in a list, he/she should have to enter a value for this column.
    I want to make all new item entries to pre-poplate this field with the value entered in the previously added item. This way, he/she wont have to re-enter the date every time (which rarely changes). How can this be done?

    could create a second list ("state") with column ("default finish date")...
    create a workflow on main list... if column is blank/empty, pull from second list... otherwise, update second list with the value that was entered.
    Or, customize the form (InfoPath or JavaScript)

    Hi Wayne,
    Thank you for this response.  I have tried this but when I start enterring $ amounts some, such as $6.00, go in OK others such as $4.00 appear as a date ie 4 Oct 12.

  • Custom sort pivot table columns with Essbase as the data source

    Is it possible to sort columns in a pivot table according to an arbitrary value that I define when the data is coming from Essbase?
    For example, say I have a dimension called Soda, with values Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper and Diet Dr. Pepper. I create a report with a sales measure with the measure labels on the rows and the Soda dimension on the column. By default the columns will be sorted alphabetically:
    Coke Diet Coke Diet Dr. Pepper Dr. Pepper
    Sales 1M .5M .75M 1.25M
    I want to create a report that looks like this:
    Coke Diet Coke Diet Dr. Pepper Dr. Pepper
    Sales
    I think I could do this if the source was relational just by creating bins or creating a custom column with a case statement that assigns each Soda an arbitrary value and then sort on this value. Everything I've tried with Essbase as the source, though, results in:
    State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 42043] An external aggregate is found in an outer query block. (HY000)
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    1. You can try solve the 'An external aggregate is found in an outer query block' by changing aggregation rule for your measure both in physical and business layer.
    By default it's set to Aggr_External - change it to Sum
    In physical : Column properties->Aggregation rule
    In business model : Column properties->Aggregation tab -> Default aggregation rule.
    This may change the result - after changing check whether you still get correct values.
    2. Also, in case the desired order is the same as the order of members in the Essbase cube, and you want to leave Aggr_External, you can create a calculated column that will help you with the sort.
    See http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2008/04/28/oracle-bi-ee-101332-handling-sort-order-in-hyperion-essbase-931-evaluate-and-mdx/
    Hope this helps,

  • How to add custom columns with BO data from GP to UWL

    Hi
    We have CE 7.1 in our project UWL taskitems only have GP workflow tasks.
    In UWL we can see that by default there are standard columns but now we need to add custom columns with data from ours BO associated to process instance
    For that we need to develop one custom connector for UWL where we can retrieve the values from custom conenctor to UWL.
    Currently our NWDS 7.1 does not have plugins for UWL Connector can anybody tell me where can I download this plugins?
    thanks in advance!

  • Create a logical column with more than one data source

    I'm having a problem to create a logical column with more than one data source in Siebel 7.8.
    What I want to do is the union of 2 physical tables in one logical table.
    For example, I have a "local_clients" table and a "abroad_clients" table. What I want is to have a logical table "clients" with the client data from the 2 tables.
    What I've tried is dragging the datasources I need onto the logical column.
    However this isn't working because it only retrieves the data from the first data source.

    Hi!
    I think it is not possible to do this just by dragging the columns to the logical table. A logical table can have more than one source, but I think each column must have just one direct source column.
    I'm not sure, but maybe you should do the UNION SQL to get the data of the two tables. In the physical layer, when you create a new physical table, it's possible to set the "table type" as a "SELECT". I didn't try that, but it seems that it's possible to have the union table in the physical layer.
    Bye.
