AfContext.launchDialog not working with upgrade to 11.1.1.2.0

Question

I recently upgraded my project to latest version and now some code stopped working correctly...here is the code which is suppose to show a new dialog via backing bean (there is code setting a bunch of parameters dynamically and why I'm using backing bean to launch the dialog):

The old behavior was the window opened without any problems, the new behavior after upgrade is I get (on both IE 8 and FF 3) a form resubmission message (Resend / Cancel) prompt...clicking either of the buttons just refreshes the parent window and the dialog never appears.
Any ideas?

So more research shows that this has to do with using an "action" statement versus an actionListener. If I modify the code to use actionListener it works. I then tried to use dialog:"action" and set the parameters within a launchListener and had the same result (acts as if it's resubmitting a form).

Seems like switching to actionListener will resolve the problem for now but wonder if this is a larger issue (haven't looked at other areas where I'm using action after the upgrade). On a similar note, using actionListener and displaying the dialog also displays all of the toolbars I have installed (i.e. Google and the links). In the ADF online example dialog:action removes them...so I set in the properties for the window to turn toolbars, status, etc. to off and still have the issue.
