AffineTransformOp fails on images of particular dimensions

The following code works fine for an image that is 1296X1296 but if I change it to 36X46656 it gets the error:
Exception in thread "main" java.awt.image.ImagingOpException: Unable to transform src image
at java.awt.image.AffineTransformOp.filter(Unknown Source)
Notice the images actually have the same number of pixels! So it's not the size that's doing it.
Here's the code:
import java.awt.geom.AffineTransform;
import java.awt.image.AffineTransformOp;
import java.awt.image.BufferedImage;
import ndvis.img.FlipMode;
import ndvis.img.ImagePanel;
@author John T. Langton
public class Test {
public static void main(String[] args) {
BufferedImage img = new BufferedImage(36, 46656,
BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
AffineTransform flipAtx = ImagePanel.createFlipTransform(
FlipMode.TOP_BOTTOM, img.getWidth(), img.getHeight());
int interpolationType = AffineTransformOp.TYPE_NEAREST_NEIGHBOR;
AffineTransformOp flipAtop = new AffineTransformOp(flipAtx,
interpolationType);
BufferedImage img2 = null;
img2 = flipAtop.filter(img, img2);
Is this a known bug? Am I missing something here?

  • How to Watermark multiple images with different dimensions in Photoshop ?

    Is there any way that I can place a watermark on the right bottom of multiple images, no matter what dimension the images are? I have tried using Photoshop Scripts > image processor, but it works only for images of same dimension. I want to put watermark on multiple images of different dimensions. This is the output i got.
    For the first image the watermark got placed correctly, but for the second image watermark got distracted. As you can clearly see the dimensions are different. Please suggest me some solution.

    Open an image to watermark. We must have this open before we start recording an action or else it will keep opening this image and watermarking it over and over again.
    In Photoshop go to Windows >> Actions
    At the bottom of the Actions Palette you will see a little folder icon, click on it and create a new folder to hold you action in.
    Once you have a folder to hold your action we need to hit the Create New Action button (next to the new folder Icon we just used.)
    Give our new action a name and set a function key (if required.)
    If the record button is not already depressed which it should be by default, hit it now to start recording our action. (located near the folder icon again but this time to the left)
    Now that our action is recording go to File >> Place
    When the dialog box comes up navigate to your previously created watermark file.
    Hit the Place button
    Position the watermark as you would normally have it (default is dead center) and hit enter.
    Go to File >> Save as,navigate to where you want your watermarked images to finish up and hit save. DO NOT CHANGE THE FILE NAME if you do when you play the batch it will name all the files it saves the same over-writing each other.
    Close the image we just watermarked.
    when a save dialog comes up do not save the image.
    On the Actions Palette hit stop recording.
    Our Action is now recorded.
    To process an entire folder of images we go to File >> Automate >> Batch
    Select the folder in which your images are currently
    Select the folder you wish to save the watermarked copies too.
    Hit OK
    Photoshop is now watermarking all the Images in the selected folder for you.

  • Image size versus dimension

    I am just trying to get my head around image size versus dimension and an answer to my following question may solve it once and for all!    I save a jpg say at 1000 pixels wide and at 100 ppi at file quality 10.  But if I save the same file at 1000 pixels wide and again at 100 ppi but this time at quality 5 - what is happening to the file?   I have the same number of pixels in the photo but what is the quality slider actually doing?
    Many thanks
    Sue

    21st century or not, if you are talking about file integrity, nothing beats an EPS. Although as stated previously, EPS has definitely fallen out of popularity, partly I think due to cross-platform issues -- i.e., PC's inability to deal with them (talk about archaic) and partly due to hosting applications current ability to accept native files. EPSs are totally encapsulated, totally lossless, and totally impervious to hosting software interference -- which TIFFs, JPEGs, nor PSDs can boast. Basically, WYSIWYG.
    And yes, there actually are instances where you DO just re-save files -- usually in an attempt to clean up corrupt or problematic files -- but not just for the sake of re-saving. I agree, nobody does that. I was just making a point.
    I'm not advocating JPEGs and by no means do I advocate the constant re-saving of them. But I will not discount them as fodder or relegate them strictly to the internet! They are simply another tool in the toolbox. I do agree with you that saving as JPEG should be the last step in the production process. In addition, a full-bodied backup should be kept in reserve (be it TIFF, PSD, or heaven forbid, EPS).
    My original point was to address Sue's question of "Image versus Dimension" in JPEG format. My point with you is that JPEGs definitely have a place and some advantages when a balance of quality versus file size/storage space is an issue. It is ridiculous to simply discount JPEG to the web. Although I would not use it for a high-end brochure or an annual report, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to use JPEG for newsprint, high-end copying and some direct imaging. It is a sound format if applied properly based on the end usage. But by no means is it an end-all format. And, I think I work in the same world as you.

  • Remove access for each member of a particular dimension from Hyperion Planning Applciation

    We are trying to remove access for groups for each member of a particular dimension( which has more than 1000 members) of a Hyperion Planning application. We are going through Administration->Manage DImensions -> member , Under security click view and select the group and then remove access But the problem is there are more than 1000 members under this dimension , so it will be time consuming to go to each member and then remove access for the group. Is there any other way we can do this?
    Also is there a way to bulk delete native directory groups from Hyperion Shared services, instead of deleting each native group manually one by one?

    The reaso we want to go for Relational tables is that when we did Exportsecurity utility for that planning application  and imported back the SecFile.txt without doing any changes ,still it errored out giving errors like :
    "The following access not imported:-"PLN-ORG-0278-999 Bureau Strtgc & Oprtnl ""PLNning",0278-999,READWRITE,MEMBER due toInvalid user name found in the file."
    It is erroing out even if we did not do any modifications to the secfile.txt.
    Moreover there are more than 1000 members for which we have to remove access permissions manually one by one. It is a tedious process.
    So we are looking at other options like , which relational tables have got Native directory groups information, and the sql queires we can execute to remove the unwanted Native directory groups from Shared Services?

    the problem is not that i dont have a backup of tha date within this 7GIG imagefile. the problem is now that i dont trust this format anymore. i do have a couple of AES-secured sparesimages FOR backup-reason (including one on my iPod) and if something happens to them i might be in serious trouble.
    so now my question: is it possible to rescue this AES-secured spareseimage or is this kind of methos unsafe for important data?
    thanks
    klaus

    Regular tools like Disk Utility and DiskWarrior
    didn't solve anything. I was wondering if it is
    possible to rescue some files by manually decrypting
    the image with some low-level tool.
    Did you have any succes? Given all reports on the
    web, it seems a bit hopeless, but I like to give it a
    chance.
    no success at all, sorry.
    i dumped the images now and also went back to some backups.
    but i definitly don't use filevault anymore

  • Conditions we go for a particular dimension as high cardinlity?

    Hello SAP Gurus,
    Under which conditions we go for a particular dimension as high cardinlity?
    Any pratical scenairos you have faced in the project?

    Oye Lucky ,
    Line Item Dimension: We will go for Line Item dimension when there is only one character in the Dimension.If you tick on the Line Item Dimension no table will be created for this Dimension.
    For Example:Consider there is an Document number in the Line Item Dimension for this Dimension there will not be any table created but it will reconize based on the ID's so it will improve the performance.
    High Cardinality: We will go for high cardinality when there is more number of Info Objects. i.e more then 20% of the Fact table entries.The reason why we go for the High cardinality is it will convert the type of search criteria i.e when you go for normal dimension it will be bitmap (this is good for smaler dimension) when you for Cardinality it will be B-Tree Index(good with large number of attrcibutes).

  • How can i put one small image on another big image at particular point

    Hi,
    I have combined two images but new mask image is totally overwrite and come in whitecolored not in original color.....
    I have user CGImageMaskCreate, CGImageCreateWithMask......
    But i want to put small image on big image at particular point...... that i m tired to search but i can't find.......
    Any thing is remaining then pls tell me...
    Thanks,

    Check the Quartz2D documents on Apple's site. Do a search in your examples folder in the developer folder and on Apple's site for Masks. I haven't used them under this API but that's probably the best place to start.

  • Checking Image Size and Dimensions

    How do I check the size of an image like a Signature or another image without having to save it and then checking it? Is there a way to check it in Safari?

    What? I don't see "Inspect Element" anywhere.
    Are there any plugins (perhaps at pimpmysafari.com) where we can add functions such as "Properties" for viewing image size and dimensions, as well as "View Image" to view the image by itself? I'm trying to convert from Firefox, but these are a couple of the things getting in the way.

    Hi
    在你的xml文件中,image 属性设置错误,应该填写你所加的image的绝对路径
    比如:
    <Application>
    <Menus>
    <action type="add">
    <Menu Checked="0" Enabled="0" FatherUID="43520" String="MyMenu1" Type="2" UniqueID="MyMenu1" Image="C:/MyPic.bmp">
    <Menus>
    <action type="add">
    <Menu Checked="1" Enabled="0" FatherUID="MyMenu1" String="MySub1" Type="1" UniqueID="MySub1" />
    </action>
    </Menus>
    </Menu>
    <Menu Checked="0" Enabled="1" FatherUID="43520" String="MyMenu2" Type="2" UniqueID="MyMenu2" >
    <Menus>
    <action type="add">
    <Menu Checked="0" Enabled="0" Position="0" FatherUID="MyMenu2" String="MySub21" Type="1" UniqueID="MySub21" />

    Thanx in advance,
    Ravi.

    Ravi,
    If you want to remove the Infoobject from Dimension then you need to delete the data from the cube and then remove the infoobject from that particular Dimension. I mean delete the assignment for that Infoobject.
    Assign Points if it helps..
    Incase if you need more help.. Please call me..

  • Fireworks CS5 "automatically" resizes images to minuscule dimensions

    I am having an odd issue in working with Fireworks PNGs from one of my subject matter experts. We have been using Fireworks since around 2000 so it's nothing new to us and it's been used in tens of thousands of images (we deliver eLearning to 70,000 people per year in 130 countries). We have 10 users and have been using it over a series of Windows machines over the years.
    We use CS5 with Flash, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks and typically it all runs very smoothly. But a few months ago I would open one of her PNGs (layered, etc) and whether I made any changes or not when I re-open it it has been resampled to very small dimensions. For example, a 600 by 400 pixel image will display as 16 by 15 pixels.
    This would happen with any of her images on several machines at work (*** CS5) and my home machine (CS5.5).
    We had IT remove and then reinstall Fireworks CS5 on her machine and all was fine for two months. Now this weird thing is happening again. It must be some local configuration file that is getting altered. I am at my wit's end trying to solve this and the only workaround I have is to open her files in Photoshop which works fine (but is not ideal since only two MMDs have PS and we need to edit callouts done in Fireworks).
    To recap - I open one of her images, close it, and reopen it and it resamples to very small and unsuable dimensions.
    Has anyone ever seen this odd behavior?
    Is there a config file I can delete and let the system rebuild? (I remember some flash issue, years ago, that was fixed like that).
    Thanks!

    Excellent questions! Thanks for your left-field ideas - this is a left-field issue!
    They seem to resize when closed but even if they are simply opened and closed without any changes and thus without actually saving. They do seem to always go down to the same size (not in proportion) and would be too small even as thumbnails (that was a good thought though).
    It may be indirectly due to Fireworks and be some combination of the operating system and/or other applications she may have installed such as Snag-It because a full uninstallation and installation of Fireworks takes care of the issue. It has happened twice and here's hoping it does not happen again.
    Saving the files as new files does not seem to help - she'll take her screenshots, paste them into Fireworks and then save the file to a remote server. I can open them from the server or take a copy locally, both result in the miniscule image after closing them. But only with her files. We have images from four other SMEs that don't do this "thing".
    If it happens again, I will more carefully observe the particulars you asked about.
    Thank you for your time and food for thought - I like left-field ideas - that's how we create new things in this world! =)
