After updating my iPhone4 device from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1, I found I can't use the Chinese simplified keyboard and wifi as well.
After installing and restored my iphone4 32g from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1 recently, I found it can't acess Chinese simplified keyboard while messaging. When I select CS pinyin keyboard, it will jump back to the home screen. Connection to public wifi also problem while I put in the correct password it will keep on with searching icon but can't acess to the Internet. Pls help and I'd restored 3 times and the problems still remained.

Hi i just have seen your problem I had the same situation with 4.2.1 but this is not your upgrade to ios 4.3 . few months ago i bought a factory unlocked iphone from apple store at full price. I bring it home and then i activated it with my fido sim card everything was perfect .
Then i send it to someone of my family in Morocco . When they received the phone they inserted a sim card and it said Invalid Sim card the iphone has been locked to Fido trough activation process went to appstore they did a check and they told me that infact it was unlocked and now it has been locked to fido ( Strange situation ) and then they told me to bring the phone and they will replace it but the phone was at 6000 Km so i had no choice i contacted fido to unlock it Because only fido and rogers can do this here in Canada so i paid 50 $ and send to them the proof of purchase and then they unlocked it trough itunes.
What they told me at appstore they have a batch of phones in this situations but now it seems that the problem is fixed.
Finaly for your information if you buy a brand new iphone from any career in canada you can activate it with any other carieer and it's gonna be locked to this career ( For example you can buy a brand new iphone from telus and for the first time you can use it with rogers and it will be locked to rogers ) Even if it s suposed to be a telus phone .
I found this post. Oh my GODDDDD! If this is true then Apple is **** **** and so is Canadian carrier.

If officially unlocked, you can purchase a sim from one of the two nationwide GSM carriers, AT&T or T-Mobile. However, AFAIK, none of the carriers in India offer unlocking for the iPhone. After downloading and trying to install the newest version of i tunes on my pc, I got an error message telling me: unable to locate component MSVCR80.dll. Now I can't use the version I had and obviously not the newest version. Any ideas about how to fix ?

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process. -

I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. She wants to sync her iPod and also backup her iPod at both places. Both PCs have been authorised. Thanks -

Snow Leopard may be possible, depending on whether it was shipped from the factory with SL and had Lion installed in the supply chain, or if it shipped with Lion in the first place. However the SL version would have to be the one which was originally installed or later, which likely means 10.6.7 or.8. The retail 10.6.3 installer won't work, nor will an installation cloned from a different Mac unless it was from the exact same model.
Plenty of threads around concerning installing SL in place of Lion - do a search. Some have been successful.

Yes. I use the same Apple ID on four different iDevices. You can sync the contacts with iCloud or with your computer and have them on both devices. You can sync all of the apps as well. If the apps are not in iTunes on your computer - you can download them to the iPad with the same Apple ID. You can also restore the iPad from a backup of the phone to transfer your settings, app data and your contacts.
iPhone only apps will be half size on the iPad screen but will still work as long - you can enlarge the size of the apps - but they will be pixelated on the screen. -

After updating my iPhone4s to the lastest update my photostream stopped updated onto my comuter. From my phone it looks like pictures have been moved into the photostream folder... but they are not showing up on my computer. Help!
I have signed out then back into the cloud. I have comfirmed location of the photostream folder. I have have even restored settings on my phone. any ideas on what I can do to get it working again? or do I have to accept defect, and manually save my photos?There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.

josemahnI have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

After Update, cannot delete files from nss volumes
Not sure if this is the same problem caused by the SLES11 upgrade, but after running all the upgrades on an OES11 system, I can see all the nss volumes of the upgraded servers from workstations using the Novell client, and I can copy or create files on these volumes. However, I cannot delete any files, they disappear from the workstation windows explorer when they are "deleted", but an f5 promptly shows the files are still there. I can go into the server as root, and delete the files under Linux with no problems, so this part is working OK.
I am running Novell 11.1 patch 1, and this problem has only been noticeable after the update installation.
I have supervisor rights to the volumes and files, and if I additionally set all the other file rights, I am still unable to delete the files.
Anyone got any ideas?

I had a similar problem at updating with SP3 on SP4. It was similar, that permission ERASE is not applied to all trustees working through ncp in spite of the fact that it was available.
Has solved a problem that has redefined this permission for trustees on all catalogues. -

First use JPanel not Panel.

Try re-adding your printer in System Preferences/Print & Fax. Not sure what type of printer you have, but if it was old and relying on an Appletalk connection, Snow Leopard dropped that support.

Ok 1st one. The warning restriction message relates to this line in main.cf:
smtpd_helo_restrictions = permit_sasl_authenticated permit_mynetworks check_helo_access hash:/etc/postfix/helo_access reject_non_fqdn_hostname reject_invalid_hostname permit reject_invalid_helo_hostname
The last reject occurs after the single word "permit" and is ignored.
However, that's not the problem.
I'm not exactly sure what's happening, but this might be a clue.
It would appear that either postfix is not being able to create the socket for private/policy or it's somehow created with the wrong permissions. You might need to ramp up the debug level to get a better idea.
You could check if it's being created by "netstat -a | grep private/policy" in terminal.
My guess is that it's not being created because there is no setup statement in your master.cf file, but I don't understand why postfix would be looking for it if it isn't set up. Private/policy I think relates to grey listing. Maybe gives you a hint. -
