FIrst try a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If that doesn't help then to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
    Try resetting Network Settings
    Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings,
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.
Once logged back in and when the pop-up appears, try entering your password again.

  • CS5.5 Premiere Pro & After Effects launch in one user profile but not the other

I’m having two issues. One with AE getting hung up on loading the MediaCore and the other with Premiere Loading the ExpoerterQuickTime.bundle I’ve looked and looked for solutions and haven’t found any with my problem.
I’m running a Mid-2010 MBP 8GB RAM with Lion and CS5.5 I’ve done a uninstall and reinstalled and still same problem. It works on other user profiles on my computer but not mine and that’s the one with all the content! Any help?
I launched AE with Alt+Command+Shift down which reset my preferences and whatnot but then it gave me a warning about the MediaCore and let me continue but now it's hung up on the the user interface. I don't know what to do. Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated!!!
    UPDATE
Loggin in as the Super Admin User worked for Premiere for whatever reason which is awesome! Thanks!
However After Effects is still looking for that MediaCore. And now Media Encoder isn't working. (Not that I really use it but if it doesn't work the issue might be somewhere else. Again. I tried all of these in the Super User account and the other normal account and they worked fine. Just not here in mine. Any ideas for that?
I don't have any firewalls up, It's all wide open. And I tried the second option there of removing all of the quicktime plugins in the Quicktime folder but it still gets hung up on the MediaCore.
I went into the super user and edited a AE project then came out and open the project instead of the dock icon and it went on and gave me the quicktime isn't installed bit and something might not work properly. But from playing around in it I've not seen anything different. This is an extrememly frustrating situation. I can get both programs open now but it's all janky and isn't working properly. I consider Premier to be a done deal, it's got no issues. I just need to figure out this mediacore business.
Original Post from the Premier Forum, thought I'd get better luck here in the AE one. Thank you for any help!

Yea, it's the main account i use. So I got all the permissions set up correctly. The rest of the CS suite open just fine it's just those two that give me hickups.

  • When i open cellular data from iPhone..it goes from 4g to 3g instantly an then after a while it goes to 4g..and the same thing again when i turn it back on..that didn't occured with ios7..does anyone have this issue?

I don't think it's normal because it connects to 4g without data on and then when it's on it goes to 3g until it reconnects to 4g..i don't know what to do!

No. You have no alternative but to plug it into a computer running iTunes and restore it.

Have you been trying to download from the app store? Did you get a message?
As a suggestion, you might go to an Apple store (genius bar appointment) for help. As far as I know, there should be no charge.

  • After a hard reset all user profiles are now accessible by every user

I initially had our office time capsule set up with 3 seperate user accounts ("profiles") via these instructions. Thus each user had a login for the time capsule that would then show them a shared folder that all users could see, and then a personal folder that only those logged into that account could see and access.
While I was out of the office a co-worker was having trouble connecting his new iMac to the time capsule, so he called apple for assistance and they had him do a hard reset. The hard reset saved all the profiles and all information in each folder, but now everyone can access every folder. I'm not completely sure of what steps they took to set it up after the hard reset, but now, no matter which account you are logged in as you see:
    -"Shared"
         -(Shared folder)
    -"Users"
         -(user 1)
         -(user 2)
         -(user 3)
So you have complete access to each users folders. Does anyone know if there is any easier way to set the user profiles back up the way they were originally set up by myself, or do I basically have to re-do the whole process (which includes saving and transfering all folders--which is a long process)?

The security of the TC is designed for home networking.. because anyone who has physical access to the TC can easily access anything.. it is simply convenient perhaps to have user profiles.. but a quick 1 sec soft reset and anybody can gain access to anything.

  • Cannot sign in to Skype on Desktop after upgrade - cannot fill in user id and password boxes

My Skype forced me to upgrade right before a phone call today (7/12/2015) (why can't you let me go about my business first and upgrade later?). After the upgrade, Skype failed to aunch, and I received the blank screen at login. I terminated the processes, rebooted, and restarted Skype. I get the login screen, and my user ID is in the pre-filled area, but I cannot change that or type in the user ID box,, and I cannot type in the password box. I also did a system restore to a few days ago, and the same thing is ahppening. I am running the latest Skype (the help dialog works from the login screeen and confrms this)and Windows 7. What should I do?

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie11-windows_7/cant-type-into-website-boxes-in-ie11windows-7/04b37fa0-d047-4577-9855-41e1930e8d60 As you can see, there might be several causes of this misbehaviour, and you should look of any antivirus/protection software installed on your computer. Meanwhile you can try to make use of the “legacylogin” workaround, which should enable login to Skype using the old legacy login window. However, you will not be able to login using Microsoft account (email address). Quit Skype. Make sure that you don’t see any Skype.exe processes in Windows Task Manager. If necessary, then stop these processes. Open this folder on your computer: C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\ You should see there the Skype application file (Skype.exe).  Right click on the Skype.exe file and select: Send to – Desktop (create shortcut). Right click on the newly created shortcut and select Properties and then the Shortcut tab. In the Target field you will see now: "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" Click with your mouse on the text in the Target field and move your curser one space after the last quotation sign and add the text /legacylogin. The text in the Target field should now read: "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe"  /legacylogin Click OK to save the changes. Start Skype using this new shortcut. Try now login to Skype?

After upgrading my Macbook Air to OS Yosemite it doesn't recognise the 3G USB modem which was working previously. Any ideas?

    Hi ..
Reset the PRAM > About NVRAM and PRAM
Those instructions are for Mavericks but will work on Yosemite as well.
    Then try the USB modem.

    iPad: Charging the battery
    - Try another cable.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
Also, this is the MacPro desktop forum. I requested your post be moved to the MacBook Pro forum

After upgrading my Macbook to Yosemite, the volume icon at the top right is greyed out and sound does not work.

Interesting bug. I'm cautiously optimistic this will get rid of the weekly annoyance. The difference is that I bought my laptop back in Feb 2015, so it came with Yosemite. I think the issue may have appeared soon after an OS update not long after I got the thing, though. I was using a sudo command in the Terminal, but that is obviously not a fix.
I wonder if there is a broken .plist file that may be fixed ...?

safari, chrome and firefox cannot verify identity of secure websites after upgrading to 10.7.4,  apple engineers have tried multiple things including operating system with no success

There are several threads about this problem, most notably one called 'Invalid Certificates' is over 4 pages long.  Many of us have experienced difficulty connecting to banking and other secure sites.  On my Macbook Pro, I cannot get to my banking site with any browser, however I can get there on my iMac using Safari, but get the 'Invalid Certificate' notice with FF and Chrome.  The problem started after the installation of 10.7.4.  I have sent a message to Apple--they will be dismayed to hear that I cannot complete an order at their online store!

  • After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I repurchased Garageband and I can't get passed the complete installation. I don't seem to have the "com.apple.garageband.plist" file that has been a common solution. Any suggestions?

After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I repurchased Garageband and I can't get passed the complete installation. I've read through several posts that all reference the "com.apple.garageband.plist" solution. I don't seem to have the referenced .plist. Any solutions or suggestions?

    Did you upgrade from SnowLeopard?
I can't get passed the complete installation
What exactly is happening? Is GarageBand trying to download over and over again?
all reference the "com.apple.garageband.plist" solution. I don't seem to have the referenced .plist.
The property list stores your preferences, but also the settings from the last run of the application.  If that file is corrupted in some way, you might see third behaviour.
You must have this file, for it will be recreated automatically, if it is missing, or you have a permissions problem with your user library.
Perhaps you did look in he wrong place.
in MacOS 10.7. or later the User Library is hidden. To find the Preferences Files use the Finder's "Go" menu:
Quit GarageBand, if it is running.
Click onto you Desktop to bring the Finder forward.
In the Finder Menu press "Go" and hold down the "option/alt" key, until your user library appears in the drop-down menu
Select "Library" and in the Finder window that opens navigate to the "Prederences" folder; move com.apple.garageband.plist to the Desktop.
Log off and on again (don't skip that step!). Retry GarageBand and see if it GarageBand is now downloading the missing content properly.
If that does not fix the problem, post back and explain in more detail what the download problem is.
Why did you "repurchase" GarageBand? If you already owned GarageBand '11, it should be unnecessary.
    Regards
    Léonie

  • Windows 8.1 Update 1 (Spring update KB2919355) - User Profile Service failed the sign-in

After installing Windows 8.1 Update 1 (Spring update KB2919355), our enterprise  Windows 8.1 image began getting User Profile Service failed the sign-in. Uninstalling the update fixes the issue. The update somehow modifies the default user
profile causing write access issues which is evident in the event viewer.
    Things I tried:
    1) Re-applying parent permissions to Default profile folder
    2) Disable CopyProfile before sysprep
    3) Creating a new image with Windows 8.1 Update 1 ISO from Microsoft
None of them seem to work. I believe update 2919355 will be needed to continue getting future Windows 8.1 update. I might try looking at the specific files that the User Profile Service is complaining about but it seems to be random.
    Anyone else experience this?

"Place your rig specifics into your signature like I have, makes it 100x easier to understand!"
I should have included this. It does it on all of our machine builds (we have a few) including VMs.
    "try this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919355
    if
a fresh manual install does not work use
    the tools here"
Did all of this already at the request of MS and also ran a trace utility they sent me and submitted the results. The Trace revealed nothing remarkable to the analysts that gave any indication of what is causing this.
MS has acknowledged that there is a problem and for me it has to be an enterprise fix, not an individual run around to every computer. I  have tried removing everything non-Microsoft and will try removing APP-V 5. If it works I will let them know, but
we can't operate the enterprise without APP-V so this wouldn't be a solution. The trouble is that it is so random that we thought we had it fixed by removing AV and were going to start looking in that direction and it turned out that if you just kept hammering
it with the logins that it would still manifest, as it has done with everything I have tried so far.

  • How can I recover from Windows login failure: User Profile Service failed the login

I have Boot Camp installed on a separate partition on a MacBook Pro, late 2011 model. I have Mavericks installedd (10.9.1). I use, variously, both Parallels and VM Fusion to access the BootCamp installation of Windows 7.
Except for having recently installed updates of both VMFusion and Parallels, I got this failure message when trying to login to Windows:: The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded.
I had just been on Windows a few moments previously to access a business site that only accepts IE. Appreciate any useful insight on dealing with this issue without having to totally replace the BootCamp installation. A lot of the suggestions on Microsoft Windows repair sites are either incomprehensible or don't seem applicable.

Same problem here. Windows 7 support gives several so-called fixes (including regedit tweaks, eliminating the blocked user account), but all require access to that partition. So far as I know, I have only one user, since this is my personal computer -- unless there is some sort of default "administrator" logon.
Windows support says the problem might be caused by antivirus software running while we try to logon, but this problem has never happened to me before, and I have not made anti-virus changes (maybe AVG or Avast did so automatically)
I tried to access regedit through Finder, but get a garbled text-edit with the message that regedit cannot be opened by DOS.
So I wonder (a) is there a default admin logon? (b) Can we tinker with the settings inside Windows from Finder, or (c) how else can we get into Windows?
My setup: Macbook Pro (Fall 2010), 10.6.8, boot camp, Windows 7.
