After upgrade to IOS6 I cannot set the horizontal hold

I upgraded to IOS 6 and the symbal for horizontal/vertical hold has disappeared from the screen. How can I set it?

I went to the Application Support folder and there is no file named prefs.js there. The path ends with the Application Support folder. There is no Firefox folder in it.
I have search all over my computer and there is no file prefs.js anywhere that I can find. I have removed Firefox and reinstalled a couple of ties with the same results.

Connected with cable to my computer and in iTunes checked "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-fi" and that seems to have fixed it.
I really prefer to do syncing over cable. I guess I will have to live with over the air syncing....

TS3899 Outgoing Mail, Password Authentication not stored after upgraded to IOS6

After upgraded to IOS6, my email setting failed to store password authentication. Everytime i have to go through the setting to send out email. Is this a bug in IOS6? I do not encounter this when my phone is still on IOS5.1.1

Best to delete and start over, and again make sure all info is correct. If it doesnt work try doing it under other, but first restart your phone, hold down the home and off button till the apple symbol comes up. Then redo the acount as stated.

Try this:
1. App Store>Feature>Apple ID (at bottom of page)
2. Tap on Apple ID>View Apple ID
4. Enter your password
5. Country/Region>Change Country or Region

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Well, it does say on http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html in step 1: "To enable iCloud on your Windows PC (Windows 7 or 8 required), first set up iCloud on your other devices, then install the iCloud Control Panel for Windows.
If you're trying to back up your device to iCloud, that doesn't have anything to do with your computer. You back up to iCloud over wifi. All you do is go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with your Apple ID to create your account, scroll down and tap Storage & Backup, then turn on iCloud Backup. You can then tap Back Up Now at the bottom to start the back up manually, or lock the screen and connect it to your charger and it will back up automatically every day.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I have no special software like numbers or anything else installed on either device. Just using the default viewer provided by apple for viewing email.

The attachment is an .xls excel 97-2003 spreadsheet. I viewed the file in the email and did not edit it with any software. I can forward the file to anyone that is may want to check it out to see if they can help me. I was wondering if there was some way of forcing another ios6 install on my phone and maybe that would solve it.
Is there anyone out there that is viewing .xls files in email using ios6 w/o any other software installed like numbers or any other add ons? Having the same problem. No response from Apple as I tried all the suggestions. Had to perform a system restore. Currently iy's working. Make sure you backup everything to your computer. IOS6 is still glitchy in other areas.

After upgrading iTunes software, I cannot import playlists. Help!

To be more clear:
1. My music and my playlists are on an external drive. My playlists are saved as .m3u files.
2. Everything was working perfectly before the iTunes upgrade yesterday. But now when I use the iTunes "File/Library/Import Playlist" feature, the playlist that is imported is EMPTY.
3. I can open the .m3u file and see that it contains the songs with their full path. So the .m3u file contains the correct information, it is just not importing into iTunes like it used to.
4. Apparenty when iTunes upgraded, it changed some setting and now everything is out of sync.
I am so stumped.

Might be corrupted audio preferences ..
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following;
/Library/Preferences/Audio
Click Go then move both .plist files from the Audio folder to the Trash.
com.apple.audioDeviceSettings.pllist
com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist
Restart your Mac. See if that made a difference ...
