Album art not displaying correctly

Help! I hate that my album art is displaying incorrectly. I have podcast covers on album and music albums on podcasts. What is really strange is if I have a rental movie on some of my songs display stills from that film!?
What can I do to rectify this?

Tried this and it does not work. I don't think there should be a problem, but there are two albums that have the same name from different artists. The artwork for the other artist with the same album title is displaying.
I am also running synergy 3.0 and it displays the correct album art. When I try to import that correct art into itunes, it does not replace the wrong artwork.

Has any body Got this problem and know A solution?
    Thanks

I have had the same issues. It all started with iTunes 7.0. I have lost all track numbers as well, so now all my songs are in ABC order. It really *****!!
The only way I have been able to fix the artwork issue is to cut the artwork off of the file the re-paste it back on. (I have over 3,000 tracks, very time consuming) This has worked for most of the files but I am still coming across a few tracks that have the incorrect artwork on them.

  • Some album art not displaying in

I have the latest firmware release (.60.0). After either syncing via an app or simply dragging and dropping via Media Explorer, some album art does not display properly in my ZVM in the Album art view nor when the song is played. The method I used is embedding the image directly in the MP3 tags. I only use the MP3 format.
    I love my ZVM!

It sounds as if I had the same problem, which bugged the **** out of me, until about 10 minutes ago. I mucked around for ages with iPad and iPhone with some success before they would reset themselves to some odd settings i.e. artwork not matching correct album, couldn't delete songs from iPhone etc.! Very frustrating.
So tonight I did the following:
    1. I have Homesharing turned ON as i use iPad/iPhone as a remote;
    2. on iPad and/or iPhone make sure that the device(s) is signed into your Home Share  - appleID is completed in "Settings"/"Music";
    3. on iPad go to Music (orange icon, not in Settings) and press "More" then "Shared" and choose your host machine's library and NOT "My iPad". Same for iPhone too.
    Hope that helps,
    Matt

Try unchecking "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when your iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your ipod.
Then check "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when youd iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your ipod again.
This should resync the album artwork to the iPod.
If this does not work, you might need to restore the iPod and reload the songs in order to correct this error.
See: How to restore the iPod to factory settings.

  • Some album art not displaying

I have the 80gb model and recently I did that thing where you erase all the album art and reload it to fix some that were showing up as black boxes. But then I found that now a good chunk of my album art won't display at all. For those songs all the song data instead of being centered is right justified but there's no album art. I narrowed it down and I found that this is only happening to art where I pasted the art into the song data. I would really like to know how I can get this fixed without having to redo all of my album art.
I did already try doing a reset but that didn't help.

I have the 120 GB iPod Classic. Some artwork was not illustrated, only a black square was showing.
I solved the problem as follows:
With iPod connected to PC, select all the songs of the affected album. Right click to obtain "Get Info" for the complete album. The artwork panel should be blank, so click the box beside artwork panel. Press "OK". This will put a blank &, more importantly, clear the defective/corrupted artwork in the iPod.
Repeat the process, select all the songs of the affected album, Right click to obtain "Get Info", then paste the good artwork into the panel. Click all the boxes of all relevant data & press "OK". The good artwork will be entered. You can disconnect the iPod from the PC to check that the artwork is now showing correctly. This worked for me on a number of albums which had the black square showing.

  • Zen Vision : M - Album Art not displaying and other probl

    Hi,
I bought a Zen Vision : M from Hong Kong last week and of course the first thing I did when I got home was install all the software that came with it and started uploading songs.
The player is great and I love it but there are just two annoying little things.
    Two problems I encountered.
. I uploaded the album art using the Media Explorer by clicking and draging the JPEG into the explorer as instructed, sometimes the album art shows on the player and for some albums, it just won't show on the player, however it shows correctly on the explorer. Has anybody else experienced the same thing?
Is there going to be a new firmware to fix that?
    2. Sometimes after closing all the Creative applications and explorers, it still does not release the player. It still saids that it is docked. I have to either shut down the computer or manually pull the USB cable out which is something I don't want to do if it is still transferring information between the player and the PC... In the next firmware, there should be an option to undock the player.
Also the website claims to have all these accesories such as the docking station and leather case for the player but I cannot find any online store that has it!?! I have searched the Europe online stores and Asia online shops yet I cannot find it. Where would I be able to find it's As I am always afraid that the connector that comes with the player will break as it feels quite fragile.

The undocking issue are you sure the arrows are still moving. I made that mistake when I first got the vision M. I thought it was still updating.
The arrows stay still when you can remove the Vision M and kinda rotate, actually move when you are tranferring songs.
    Looks similar.
As for the album art ill try that today and get back to you.

  • Album Art Not Displaying/Disappearing

I've had the iTouch for a week & all of a sudden most of the album art disappeared from the iTouch. I synced again, some came back but much of the album art does not display even though it's in the iTunes library. Also, album art is duplicated for other/different artists. What's happening? Any solutions?

This is also happening to me.
First the album art vanished, and then I would resync, and the album art would go to different albums.
my Breaking Benjamin album art went on my Frank Sinatra album, and my Gnarls Barkley album.
My 50 Cent album art went to the Brad paisley album, and the Rufus Wainwright album .This is doing this, even after I updated the iPod.

  • Album art not displaying in Feature Box

I have create three Collections of the past three years of an event on campus. Each has album art loaded. I then created a Feature Box to display these three collections. However the album art does not display for the feature box (called Collaboration Technology). If I click on one of the Collections within the Features box it will display the art.
Any suggestions as to why the art is not displaying?

    Greetings!
Can you post a link to the Collection you're having an issue with?

  • Album Art not displaying in iTunes

I have several mp3s where the album art does not display in iTunes, it does, however, display when I use other software such as MediaMonkey or foobar2000.  The album artowork is stored in the tag.  I've tried retagging them within iTunes, but it doesn't always work and is a time consuming process.  I've also tried removing the ID3v1 tag portion from the file and leave just the ID3v2.3 tag, but no success either.  Any thoughts?

It only happens wih some files, and I can't seem to find out what the correlation is.
If I take a series of mp3s where the album art cannot be displayed in iTunes but can in MediaMonkey or, extract the album art from the the tag through MediaMonkey (iTunes artwork fetching usually gives me poor results), and then assign the album art through iTunes, yes the album art does appear to be saved and displayed through iTunes.  But that's a process.
Additionally, if I reassign the artwork in MediaMonkey (not readding it, just reapplying the assignment to all selected items) the artwork will show up in iTunes.
I'm going to play around with Mp3Tag and see if that yields anything.

  • Embedded Album Art not Displaying Showing in Windows Explorer

Trying To Clean up my Music Collection using windows explorer.  Embedding album art works fine for MP3's yet it is not replacing the (film/file/musicnote/baloon/) icon for Mpeg4 - M4A files.
What annoying is that the embedded art may be present but I can't tell just by looking at the individual files.  how can I get confirmation outside of loading up itunes?
is it possible for me to get the embedded art to display in place of the file icon in windows explorer for these file types?  if so, how?

  • Album artwork not displaying correctly

I recently updated to 1.1.4 and the album artwork associated with my music does not match up anymore. It is very strange.
When I flip through coverflow everything works fine, but once I play a song from a particular album, it shows the album art for a completely different CD. and another strange thing is if I now flip the cover over while the song is playing, it shows the correct track list for the original CD, but the little album thumbnail at the top right corner is even ANOTHER album art.
    Anyone experienced this before?

  • Album Art not displayed on all songs for Album

I have an iPod touch and before I got it, I made sure I had album art on all of the albums, by starting a song and then dragging artwork image. Naturally now, only track 1 per album has the album art.
How can I make sure that when I drag album art that the WHOLE album displays the art, instead of only one song having the art and all the others having the standard eighth-note background? Thank you.

Get Info on the entire album, and drag the art to the Artwork pane in the lower right.

  • Album art not matching correctly between iTunes and iPhone.

So as much as this might not seem as an issue for some, I notice that my album artwork in iTunes does not always match up with the album art on my phone. If I think that some artwork for a song or album is unappealing or not matching, I will change it to my own artwork. Normally, this has never been an issue for me until recently. What happens is I do the normal album art changing procedure (go to get info, add/delete album art) and it works fine. The odd thing is that when I go to select an album on my phone, the album art is the same as what it was in the iTunes Store and not what I added, but the individual songs have the album art that I added myself.
I've managed to fix this issue on some albums by converting them mp3 format, but that only works for some and I don't know why. I would prefer the song art and album art be the same, just because I'm really nitpicky about things matching. Am I missing a step or doing something wrong? Does anyone else happen to have this issue, or any clue what the problem might be? Help would be much appreciated, thanks!

What you are trying to do is clear but iTunes Match / IOS 6 does not work that way.
You can sync playlists from computer to iDevice using the options under the music tab for your iDevice on the computer.  This will provide a local copy on the iDevice of each Song included in each Playlist selected for sync.
With iTunes Match / IOS 6, as Songs are played from the iCloud (ie not those already downloaded in playlists) IOS 6 does in fact 'download' the Song to a local cache.  In theory this cache should be managed by IOS 6 such that it does not overload your iDevice memory - Apple have not chosen to share exactly how this operates.
Given your notes above would suggest starting from a refresh restore on the iPhone 5 with all synchronisation performed afresh and iTunes Match switched on.

  • Album Art Only Displays For First Song of Album

If I play an album via my iPad or iPods music app through AppleTV, the album art will display correctly for the first songs played from that album, but is blank for the others that follow.  If i individually play each song, the album art appears correctly.
Also, if iI have a playlist and two songs from the same album play back to back, then the second song does not have album art.  However, if another song plays between the two songs from the same album, the art appears correctly.
If I play an album from iTunes on my Macbook Air through my AppleTV, there are no cover art issues.

Per someone elses suggestion, i reset the device and the issue still exists.
