Album Covers Not Transferring to iPad2

Clarifications: I have an iPad 2, and I am using Windows.
So I have my iPad 2 and computer fully synced, and all the purchases transferred, but for some reason, after going through and retrieving album artwork for my library, not all of them are transferring to my iPad.
I had the same issue with my iPhone 4, but with that I was able to just delete all the music on my phone, and then drag everything from my library to it, and it al synced up perfectly well.
But it won't let me delete songs from my iPad. At all.
So can anyone tell me 1) why can't I delete songs from my iPad, and 2) how do I get my album covers transferred?
Thank you.

I'm having the same issue. Once, I got the standard white music note icon for a album art that didn't transfer properly, and just now I got flat black.
I've attempted to apply the artwork directly to the iPhone itself, but this did not work, only to the artwork that was white. Any suggestions would be helpful. Also, knowing why this happens would be great.

  • Album covers not all appearing in Cover Flow

I have a new iPhone 5, (IOS 6.0.1) and I restored all of my apps from a backup of my iPhone 4 (IOS 6.0.1).  I notice that my album covers do not all appear in Cover Flow mode.  I checked my iPhone 4, before resetting it, and it had the same problem.  I deleted the music from my iPhone 5 and restored all of the playlists from my MacPro and still have the problem. I cannot detect and differences between those that appear and those that do not appear.  Any ideas?
And btw, I manually installed he Album Art on each Album, I did not use iTunes to search for Album Art.

  • Some album covers not showing (do I need to be online?)

    Hi,
Just got my imac back after a recent repair and found some itunes oddness:
The OS booted and everything appeared to be ok. In the limited time I had today though, I noticed that my iTunes Library was gone. I just got the large dialog box as if I was starting from scratch. Slightly concerned, I delved into my libraries using Libra and switched to my Nano library. I started itunes again, same dialog box, but this time cos it's a much smaller library, I decided to click on agree. Sure enough the library appeared in itunes as normal. Hmmmm, how odd. I then switched to my bigger library and did the same. All hunky dory now (no not the bowie album, I mean all good now) except for the fact that album covers took ages to appear and some haven't appeared at all. The ones that are still blank are (If I remember correctly) the covers that I have downloaded from the itunes store. Are they not appearing cos I'm not connected to the internet? Or do I have a problem there?
One other thing I spotted was that my You Control itunes controller had not started. When I started it manually it asked me to register which I can not yet do without the internet access.
If anyone could advise me of the itunes issues that'd be great.
    Cheers
    Lee

It does not check as far as I know, but it is what is written in the license agreement and the activation will not allow more than 2 installs. The license indicates they are for the owner and the intent is to be run on only one machine at a time by the owner.

  • Album Covers also transferred to Pla

I observed that some of the music I export to my device through URGE includes the album covers and this is taking up too much space on my player, is there some way that I can export the music without exporting the album cover Is there a way to delete the album covers without deleting the music from my player Your assistance would be appreciated. Regards,

    Just to continue this thread.
Under "Advanced" in iTunes, one can download covers to one's computer. However, after copying to the iPod, covers do not appear.
This continuation is not about how to download teh covers (hint in previous paragraph), but that they don't appear once they are downloaded!
Is there some somewhat secret setting on the iPod?

  • Album art not transferring

Gday, I am trying to get album art onto my 4th gen nano. I have an 8 gig nano, and about 11gig of music, so i transferred as many songs as i could onto my nano. Then tried to get album art onto the nano (Advanced > get album art). It reckons it has got all the album art possible, yet there is no more than before... I know that there is more because it retrieved far more album art (for the same artist / album) when i did the same on my entire library. Please help its quickly giving me the s#..
    Cheers
    smokes

Actually, all my album artwork was added in itunes prior to me even owning the ipod so all my artwork was in place before the initial copy of my music to my ipod. Another issue is when I browse through my music via the horizontal album cover scroll and I choose a album and song to play, when I rotate my ipod vertically, sometimes the album artwork that is supposed to fill the screen in the center as the song plays disappears and I again get the ?, even though the artwork is physically there. If I rotate it back horizontally, it's still missing until I thumb through a couple album covers then it pops back in.

  • Album art not transferring to N85

It's a small problem but kind of a nuisance. I don't understand why, when I transfer music to my N85, the album art is not transferred with it.
I do it using sync from windows media player 11.
    Any solutions, anyone?

Use the search discussions and type Album art and you will find these:
    /discussions/search?submitted=true&sort_by=-date&ticket=qPI9xMoyLhmB_5619&q=Album+art#search_results
Then read previous posts. This is asked almost daily!

  • Album Covers Not Appearing

Some of the albums I have loaded on my iPhone are not displaying the cover art...they are black. Any ideas on how to resolve? Thanks.

    did you have them before?
if so, a restore will bring them back or you can enter them manually if you want.
go on the internet to get the album covers that apple doesn't recognize for certain songs not bought on itunes. you will need to find the album covers in question(on the web) and save them on your hard drive.
Go into itunes, go to your music, select the song you want to add the album cover toand right click it, go to get info, from there you can select artwork and add it.

  • Album Covers Not Stored in ID3?

It appears that album covers are downloaded into some funky apple/itms format (folder based in your itunes library dirs). Is that accurate? Could it be that the ID3 tags have been completely ignored, and the "Get Album Artwork" command doesn't make the artwork available to anything but iTunes?
    That'd be most unfortunate.

It's most definitely not stored in the ID3 tag. If I download album art thru iTunes to an album and then look at any song in that album in another ID3 editing program (a la Rage Media) the artwork is missing. That makes the feature virtually unusable to me.
iTunes does read the artwork from the ID3 tag if it's there, however, so coverflow will work if you use a different program to grab artwork.
Also, the download album art feature is super picky, the genre seems to be the toughest to match since I don't use standard genres.
It's too bad, it would have made a very nice feature. I can see a single justification for not storing the album art in the ID3, but it's not compelling enough for me in these days of massive storage capabilities: They might have thought they'd save the disk space of adding 300k album art to every mp3 when they could reference a single instance of the image from each file. I'll have to pull apart the metadata to figure out how they're doing it (if it's even done in the file itself...)

  • Album Covers Not Saving

I'm having an issue uploading album covers.  iTunes has a ****** selection and the ones I keep uploading won't save.  It seemed to work yesterday and now the covers won't save.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!  It was working fine two days ago and now won't update the covers at all.  I've re-started iTunes, the computer and made sure iTunes was updated.  Nothing has worked.  I think I'm just going to switch to Windows Media Player.  iTunes has been such a headache and there is no technical support, of course.

  • Some album covers not showing up in iTunes artwork screensaver

I'm seeing a lot of similar topics so maybe there is no fix to this, but here goes anyways...
I just got my Macbook Air about a month ago so I have the newest OS and I check for updates frequently. Now all the music I have so far on my iTunes is music I ripped directly off CD's I own, not burnt copies but originals. Some of the artwork was missing and I corrected it already with the Artwork option in 'Get Info'. However when I check the iTunes screensaver there is ONE album cover that no matter what I try, it WILL NOT show up. It's starting to drive me crazy. Strangely enough it was the only CD my Superdrive had trouble reading, which I also had to google tirelessly and remedy.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this? It's just one image so it seems like it should be a quick fix, but I can't get around it. Help?

This happen sometimes (seldom) if the album art on one song in a album is corrupted.
Mark all songs from that album in iTunes at once or right click on Album in Album view
Open the info pane (Get info)
click the little Artwork window down right active and press backspace key to delete the Album Art from the songs.
Copy (drag&drop) the picture again in that little window
click OK and confirm the pop up
Then check again with the Album Art screen saver.

  • Album art not transfering from iTunes to iPod

Manually managing my ipod. When copying songs over to the iPod, only about half of the album art that is in my iTunes shows up on the iPod. I deleted all of the music from my 160 and copied it over again to see if it would fix the problem but nothing changed. Some album art comes over, some does not.

Are you auto-syncing the iPod? If so, when you add artwork to songs in your library the songs should be replaced by iTunes on your next sync. If not, you can force a new copy on your iPod by (a) set your iPod to sync only checked items, (b) un-checking the problem items, (c) re-sync your iPod, (d) re-check the problem items, and (e) re-sync again. But this process should not be necessary if you're on auto-sync -- any tag changes should automatically trigger a replacement of the updated song on your iPod.
If you're manually managing your iPod, if you update songs in your library the updates will not automatically transfer to your iPod. To do that, you should delete the songs from your iPod which have been updated with artwork in iTunes, then add the updated copies from iTunes back to your iPod.

  • IPod Video - Album Artwork Not Transferring

Does anyone know why when I move songs from iTunes to my iPod some of the album artwork comes over and some does not?

I'll asume you're using iTunes 7. When you connect the iPod, it's screen shows up in iTunes. Click the music tab at the top of the screen. Then go to the bottom of the list (don't scroll through it) but below the list ther is a checkbox labled "Show Album Artwork." Make sure it's selected. If it is, make sure the song you want artwork for actually has artwork to show in iTunes.

  • Album art not transferring to nano!

I just took this 4gb nano out of the box, and I can't get my album art to be displayed while any song is being played. I have checked the box in itunes to "display album artwork on your ipod", but the art is still nowhere to be found. The art is on the library music, and the list for my ipod on itunes says the art is there, but it just isn't there when you actually play a song on the ipod's screen. I'm in desperate need of help.

I had this same problem with my 60gb iPod colour. Try turning the album art off in your iPod settings. This will delete all the album art. After that, turn the album art back on on the iPod from settings. This worked for a while with me, then the problem re-occured. I eventually returned it and got a fresh one. But, i've got friends who this procedure worked seemlessly for. hope this helps, sorry if it doesn't
