ALE/IDOC on ABAP Trial Version: 53 but no actual update ???????

After installing ABAP Trial Version NW7 on my laptop, I copied ref client 000 to two clients (100 and 200), and set up a person business partner on each client with parnter number 1.
I then delegated BUS1006 on system 100  so that I had a YBUS1008 object with the same methods as BUS1006.
I then went thru the usual rhythm (SALE, WE20, SM59 to get the ALE stuff set up, and then used BDBG to generate my BAPI-ALE interface.
Everything went perfectly: I used SE37 on the sending system to execute the outbound function module with some changed data, and then used SALE to dispatch the IDOC that was created.  Then on the input side, I used BD87 to process the IDOC.
The result of all this was a final IDOC status of "53" indicating successful posting of an application document.
But when I go into BUP2, the data for the business partner isn't actually changed.
If the IDOC posts with a "53", shouldn't I see the actual changed data in the business partner on the receiving system?
I'm sure I'm missing something simple here, but I'm not sure what it is.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Hi Atish -
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Yes, the status 53 is on the receiving system, and I've used WE19 to test my inbound function module ZIDOC_INPUT_YBUS1006 (this is the one that BDBG generated.)   In debugging mode in WE19, I see the function calls returning sy-subrc 0 for at least two levels down.  In particular, ZIDOC_INPUT_YBUS100 calls BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE and BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE calls BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE, and both these calls return sy-subrc = 0.
But I haven't gone all the way down to the actual database update modules - maybe I have to dig deeper.  I stopped when I saw that this line
MOVE-CORRESPONDING is_address TO lt_bapiad2vl.
was moving the data from the IDOC in BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE.
Also, one other thing that's puzzling me - when I call the inbound function module in WE19 in debugging mode, and then switch to "update debugging", I don't see code executing.  It just goes to completion and comes back with a message saying the IDOC was saved and processed successfully by the function module.
If the system is really doing an update, shouldn't I see some code executing if I turn on "update debugging" once I'm in the debugger on the function module in WE19 ????
Also, I'm assuming that if the IDOC gets a status 53 with a message saying "application document posted", then the IDOC data must be correct and the inbound function module must have processed the IDOC correctly.  Isn't this what a 53 means?
Anyway, thanks again for taking the time ... I'll post back if I see anything odd as I debug deeper.

    Hi,
In environment variables under system variables see if the path to java has been set,
    JAVA_Home
    C:\j2sdk1.4.2_11
    JRE_PATH
    C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_11\bin\java.exe
Both these variables should be set.
The values would differ on the version of java that you are using and the
path where you have java installed.
I suggest you go with Java version 1.4.2_*.

Hi, I have installed SAP Netweaver ABAP trial version but dont know how to get BEx analyzer. Can someone help to find out that.
    Thanks,

    Hi ,
I doubt if the BW component is present in the NW 7.0 Abap trial. Please check this in Tcode spam -> supp. package levels (all components are listed.there, or via system information in the gui menu.
When component BW is present you can install Bex/Wad etc. via the sapgui CD.

    Hello Pratik,
after the successful download, the first and second file are required to install the complete trial software package. Place the files to the same folder and extract "SAP*.part1.rar" only with WinRAR.

  • NW2004s ABAP Trial Version Message Type X

    Hie
I have installed NW2004s ABAP Trial Version but immediately after log on the system dumps with message type X, any transaction i try to execute dumps with that error.  I am not even able to do ST22 it dumps as well!!  Is there an installation step i missed out on??
    regards
    Isaac Prince

    Hi Prince,
What else have you tried? Normally, you will get this message when you use an outdated version of the SAPGUI or if the system load did not complete correctly. Have you tried restarting the system?
Another place to check are the work process traces under the work directory. One of the dev_w# files should tell you if you are running into memory issues.
    Hope that helps!

  • Error: SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version: install successfully but don't work

    Hi all,
    i'm newbie.
i haved SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version on my notebook (Thinkpad X61 - Windows XP Pro) installed.
    I have made as follows:
    1- install MS Loopback Adapter
    2- add in windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts: 10.10.0.10 <machine name>
    3- install SAP NetWeaver 7.01
    There aren't any error.
If i start sapmmc, follow the syslog entry: "Communications data: Service initialization failed".
i can connect with the server on SAP Logon. it does almost everything, also database is ok, i can create a table,... . but i can't program. i made a example programm, this programm is saved, program window does not appear and it does as if it is running, but it really depends. BAPI don't work.
can someone help me, please ...
    Thanks
Edited by: thi minh huyen pham on Jan 12, 2009 3:35 PM

    Hello Thi Minh,
it looks you instaled everything ok. In trial version you can
construct new structures, but not the tables, as we should
use the tables of the flight data model.
Propably your program is also running ok, as some reports are
supposed only for debugging, and have not any results screen.
    Try other reports.
    Bye,

  • Installing SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version for dummies

    Hello sappers...
Sorry if you thought this was a guide for dummies, though it could turn out to be if I get some help - I'm the dummy!
Not wanting to be left out, I too have had a host of issues trying to install this, over several days now... it feels like bashing your head against a brickwall.  After staying up till 4am last night, then wiping my laptop and reinstalling Windows AGAIN to start from scratch this morning, and encountering the cranio-mural interface again, I feel like a crash test dummy!
I am installing on a new installation of Windows Vista Home Basic, I have a gig of RAM and plenty of hard drive space.
Forgive me if this is an ignorant question, but do I need to install the Loopback adaptor if I'm connected to the internet?  If it's to generate an IP address, surely my computer has one.  Note networking is not my strong point (though I'm an ok programmer - one project manager even gave me 4 out of 10!) - please be kind!  Anyway, I have tried with and without this on my various attempts.
ANYWAY.... the sorry saga goes like this...
I seem to be able to install Max DB OR SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version u2013> NSP, but not both at the same time - I may have done once, and it seemed to work once, I even managed to sign on - then it wouldnt work in the morning - but then that was on Windows XP Pro on my wife's laptop which only has 500 meg of RAM.
My last attempt was fairly typical - Max DB is showing up in the program menu, but SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version u2013> NSP is not.
However, I seem to have managed to start the NSP server ok, using SAP Management console, thanks to a handy tip on this forum about using your Windows OS password when it prompts for credentials.
When I try to sign on I get 'partner 127.0.0.1:sapdp00 not reached WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused - error number 10061, return code -10, system call connect.
That's one of my better attempts.
Last night having deleted all the installed files from my C drive, uninstalled everything, tinkered with the registry to remove all relevant entries, I managed to run an installation that skipped out installing MaxDB (it was super quick!), yet did install the SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version u2013> NSP bits in my program menu - imagine my excitement at being able to start and stop the server, yet with no database it produced red windows on my screen saying 'sorry, you screwed up AGAIN' (or words to that effect).  Trying to sign on produced equally disheartening error messages...
Am going to give it another try after taking a break, next time WITH loop back adaptor installed...
Please pardon lack of relevant detail, I didnt note everything I did on every attempt - substituting humour for detail is all that's saving my sanity at this stage...
Anyone that can help me achieve this will be my friend for ever... I'm a contractor bitten by the recession trying to learn some news skills.... the first one being how to install Netweaver at home...!

  • SAP Netweaver 7.01  ABAP Trial version

    Hi Gurus,
I have installed the SAP Netweaver 7.01 ABAP trial version from SDN. I changed the settings of the Workbench Browser selection in SE80 to had checked the enhancement info system and all other checkbox.
    se80  Utilities->Settings
I got a error saying only 8 can be selected. But by mistake i clicked on the enter and now it goes to dump.
now whenever I execute SE 80 i get the following dump
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_CREATE_OBJECT_ERROR', was not
         caught in
procedure "IF_WB_LAYOUT_MANAGER~GET_NEW_WINDOW_STYLE" "(METHOD)", nor was it
         propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The dynamically specified class "CL_AMO_REPOSITORY" at CREATE OBJECT neither
         exists as
local, nor as global class in the system, or is overshadowed by a local
data type of the same name.
How can I revert back to the original settings for SE80? I cannot change the settings since when i give the SE80 transaction it goes to dump.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Nilesh

    Hi all
    I've read your entrys.
Saw that the solution is missing.
It can be found in the manuals:
    1. Download the "Registry Clean Tool for SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP" and use it.
    2. Download the latest Version of "SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP" and un-rar it.
    3. Install the "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" an activate it.
    4. Retry to install.
    Summary:
So the error 200 was caused for the first time from trying an installation without a Loopback Adapter, and after that from trying to re-install without cleaning the registry.
    Now its working fine.

  • Error after Install SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version

    Hi Everyone,
I am new on SAP and I am getting this error after install SAP Netweaver 7.01 ABAP Trial version in my notebook.
It is Windows Vista Basic, 3GB of RAM, 2.1 Core Duo 2.
Installed successfully, but when I go to "Start" in sevidor it returns the following error, and not start:
Error! Connection failed to node (local) for database NSP:
-24700,ERR_DBMSRV_NOSTART: Could not start DBM server.
    -24832,ERR_SHMNOTAVAILABLE: Shared memory not available
    -24827,ERR_SHMALLOCFAILED: ID C:\sapdb\data\wrk\NSP.dbm.shi, requested size 2560
    Someone could help me?

    Hello Marques Polastri ,
->Please check/stop all database applications and tools, like DBMGUI and dbmcli ... Then check/kill all processes left with name dbmsrv.exe, if you will still have them. After that rename C:\sapdb\data\wrk\NSP.dbm.shi and C:\sapdb\data\wrk\NSP.dbm.shm, shared memory files, to  C:\sapdb\data\wrk\NSP.dbm.shi.old and C:\sapdb\data\wrk\NSP.dbm.shm.old.
Try to connect to the database NSP & let us know the results.
-> Please update with output of the following commands:
           dbmcli db_enum
           dbmcli -d NSP -u <control>,<pwd> db_state
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina
