All my content appears on page load - is this Spry related?

I remember having this issue when using Spry in the past. I changed the padding settings I think, and all the Accordions were open on page load - for only a second - and then closed.
I'm working with a new site, and the template seemed fine but when I populate, all tabbed-content and a scroller content appear on page load. Then snap shut. Is it related? or a similar issue... I'm pretty desperate to be posting here but I it looks like the same sort of problem I had with Spry... maybe the template has been built with some of the same technology (?)

Try this:
1. Set a class that sets visibiliity to hidden:
.hideGroup{visibility:hidden;}
2. Add this class to your content group:
<div class="SlidingPanelsContentGroup hideGroup">
3. Add a line to sp_unobtrusive.js to remove this new class
after the widget made.
Spry.$$(".SlidingPanelsContentGroup").removeClassName("hideGroup");
Add that right under the addEventListener lines.
That should do it.

Greetings,
I am working on a site for a child abuse prevention
non-profit and need some help asap!
I am using the unobtrusive sliding panels at:

I have two panels side by side. When the page loads, all of
the hidden content is briefly shown to the right of the panels. It
does this on the adobe sample as well.
Is there ANY way to hide this hidden content during the page
load? If so, could I get exact instructions? I am more of a
front-end person and not the best with scripting.
BTW, all of the content is static so the "Adobe Hiding Data
References During Page Load" does not work in this instance.

JDeveloper 11g:Cannot see all the content of a page, because of size screen

Hello all!
I am developing an application with JDeveloper 11g, using ADF 11g.
I created a page (all content is in a PSL), but when I deploy the application, if someone has a small screen, he can not see all
information on the page.
I want to know what I can do for him to descend, or turn left to see the entire contents of the page.

It kind of depends on the layout component you are using.
A panel stretch layout should be able to adjust the size - unless you hardcoded values into its size.
You can use a panel group with layout set to scroll to enable scrolling of the page content.

Black screen appears before a page loads, but this does not happen in IE

When a page of a website opens, it displays a black screen and then loads that page in Firefox 3.6.11. But the same does not happen in IE. I don't want that black screen to appear on my page.So please provide me with a solution as soon as possible.
And my page layout also gets distorted when viewed my firefox but not in IE. Please do the needful.

Thanks for your reply. I tried the same way but there is no option "Use hardware acceleration when available". Is there any other way out from my code or other Firefox settings as the page loads instantly on IE but on Firefox initially a black screen comes and then the whole page gets loaded. Topic: Page Load - is this doable?

I searched for this in the forum but couldn't find anything...except others facing the same issue (in other forums)...
Here is the problem:
My website will get users directed from a gateway which already authenticated them (two factor etc..). Their authenticated ID will be in the HTTP header I get for each request...so far so good...
The first thing I want to do is instantiate a user object that stores their userID in the HTTP header. So, (in 'kinda' psuedo code), here is what I want to do:
if (!user.isauthenticated()) {
- extract the authenticated ID from the http header.
- store the ID in the user object.
- user.setAuthenticated(true)
- Display - "Welcome User" Page
But, as a newbie to JSF, I can't figure out how to execute a type of "page load" which calls this type of function on a bean without any user interaction.
I have thought of:
- in a user constructor: but not sure how to link it.
- index.jsp page which display's the userID using a user.getUserID()
function and times out to another page?
They both look like hacks to me. I am sure many others must have come across this problem before - whats the trick please?

Why do i have to reload the page several times before all the content appears?

I need to hit the reload button at least once sometimes twice before a web page appears correctly or to get all of the pages content. This problem just started. I also can no longer get the Veetle movie player to work it wont download the channel anymore. I think this is the same problem and this also just started to happen.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

All accordion panels closed on page load?

The default behaviour for a set of accordion panels is for
the first one to open automatically when the page firsts loads.
Is there a way to stop this happening and have them all
closed by default?

Content Appearing After Page Snaps

Hi all,
I have a MSO with some content and a plus button to show the pop up information. However, the 1st state does not show until the page snaps into place. Please see the video to see what I am talking about.

As you can see, the content flashes onto the screen once the page has snapped into place. However, when scrolling back UP to the page, it is shown while swiping. I would like the content to be shown while swiping down into this page.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

The link you posted isn't working for me. From your explanation it sounds like you may have a frame of your MSO overlapping onto another page. Even if it is just a pixel over I've seen the MSO flash before the page snaps. I would check that all of your frames within that MSO are pulled onto the live space of your page.

PDf files not appearing after page loads

On several different sites, I've recently experienced a dark (black) screen after trying to view pdf files.
I cannot view any pdf files at present. The relevant page(s) seem to load and then the screen goes black. Any suggestions welcome.

What happens if you right click then Save as...
Or right click on the link to Download them & view with preview?
How about a link to see if it's common?
Have you tried more than one Browser?

Now that the "Status Bar" is gone, is there a way to hide the "status notification" (bottom left corner) when a page loads? This is on Windows & FF5/6

The so called "Status Bar" has apparently gone away since FF4, I'm now onto 6 I think, on my work machine. But one of the things I liked about the Status Bar was that it could be hidden entirely.
With no Status Bar, now when a page is loaded in FF, you get a floating "Status Notification" in the bottom left corner for a second or two while the page is loading (this even happens in FullScreen F11, something I never had to deal with when the Status Bar existed).
What I want to know is, is there a way to turn off this "Status Notification" entirely? A setting somewhere? Something in About:config? I haven't been able to find anything.

Sliding panels hidden content on page load, SprySlidingPanels.js

panels JS file isn't as simple and I would like to accomplish the
same thing. I'm using SprySlidingPanels.js. Can anyone help?

All you really need to do is add this to your CSS:

I'm unable to transfer my contacts to my iPhone 3G during an iTunes sync. Other content appears to be syncing OK and all my ios5 devices are working fine! Can anybody help?

I'm unable to transfer my contacts to my IPhone 3G (latest ios 4.2.1 installed) during an iTunes sync. All other content appears to sync OK and my ios5 devices (iPhone 4s and iPad 2) are syncing fine. I suspect this could be an iCloud issue as my iPhone 3G is not compatible with iCloud. Can anyone help me out with this issue?

I solved this issue by turning off iCloud contacts sync - then my iPhone 3G would sync through iTunes as normal. I then just turned iCloud contacts sync back on. Job done!

Safari Stalls on SOME pages - loading ads?

I moved an Intel Mini from an Airport network to an ethernet connection on the same network. Safari now has issues loading SOME but not all web pages. One page with a problem is www.macrumors.com - the content on the page loads but Safari stalls, apparently trying to load all the ads.
The stall makes it impossible to use Safari, and needs to be "force quit".
Other ethernet-connected Macs have no issues.
I've done the usual troubleshooting; DNS, disabling DNS prefetching, etc. but nothing seems to resolve the issue.

I have tried all of these solutions and find that at times nothing resolves the problem with Safari stalling except for switching from wi-fi to another connection method.   This is happening on different networks(routers) and is resolved if I disable wi-fi and connect via another means.    My 6 year old OS-X on a 11 yr. MacBook pro never has any issues and is ALWAYS 3 times faster than the new Safari runs on a much more powerful machine running on the same wi-fi network.   Wish I could switch back to the older Safari.
Here is my story:
When Yosemite came out I installed it (and have applied all available patches) on my MacBook Pro,MacBook Air and 2 IPhones and now having problem with Safari stalling at 25% load progress point in webpage download at a fairly high frequency.    YOSEMITE REALLY ***** -- need to now figure out how to the MAVERICKS installed.
Meanwhile, I have another MacBook Pro - 11 Yr. old and 6 yr. old Safari and it is rock solid reliable and on average it's 3 times faster in loading (when compared to YOSEMITE when it's working that is).      As a result,   I had to download anothe r browser and as you would expect, I am not having these problems with anothe r browser.
Avoid YOSEMITE is you care an ounce about have a reliable Safari browser.
Thanks for wasting my time Apple -- now I got the hours/hours of trying to reload 4 devices with MAVERICKS.
I believe the issue has to do with using Safari via a Wi-Fi connection as when I turn on Wi-Fi on the Iphone's the problem seems to be resolved.     Unfortunately it's not an easy option to disable Wi-Fi on the MacBook Pro's/Air as it wouldn't be much fun to connect up with an ethernet cable.    It's not the Wi-Fi connection itself as it happens on all Routers in multiple locations and the 11 yr. old MB running 6 yr old Safari doesn't have the same problem.

How to call a action on page load in jsf

i am having a JSF page where i want to display the records from the datatable. I have a method in bean which call database and gets the list of records. If i call this method from a link (action on this link) present on this page i can display the records on this page.
But i want to display these records at the time of page load only. How we can do this? How to call a action at the time of page load?

If i am calling the database class and get the list in constructor only i am able to display list in the datatable on page load. This works fine. But the requirment is that if there are no records in the list display a error page with message-No records found! . But how i can navigate from the constructor to error page?
