When we pass date parameter from 01-DEC to 05-DEC
Then the result we are getting is
A 200 01-DEC-2012
B 300 03-DEC-2012
D 250 05-DEC-2012
We need to get all the records from Table T1 irrespective of whether the records present in Table T2 or not.
we tried joins but didnt worked..

If these are physically mapped then change the join inner to to Left outer or else you can go with
For logical source 'product p1' properties->General tab
Click on Add button and select ' product_group p2' and set Type as 'Left Outer'
If these tables are with complex join then double click on join mapping to get join wizard->Select table at 'Driving' and 'Type' Left outer or Right Outer.
Do these in BMM layer.

Hi Reporting gurus,
I have to reporting requirement where i need to calculate the Actual cycle time.
This is how it goes.
The last four column should have
Actualstartdate(column1)
Actualfinishdate(column2)
column3 is the minimum of all the date values in column1(actualstartdate) i.e.,all the dates in column 3 should be same which is the minimum date value of column1.
column4 is the Actual Cycle time(column2 - column3)
somebody please throw light on this.

Sam,
If the dates are available as key figures, then simply compare.
(KF1 < KF2) * KF1 + (KF2 <= KF1) * KF2
This forumla should go in column 3 and then column 4 will be CL4 - CL3.
This report has to run at the lowest level, i.e. line item or document number. If you want to run it at a higher level, then create these as calculated KF on the cube and divide the result by a count of the lowest level, i.e. document number/line item using exception aggregatoin or a counter key figure. Resulting value will be an average.

I have a block that is based on one table, if I found the record(s) on that table I will display it on the forms, No Problemo. But, if record(s) was not in the said table, I have to get the data on another table and then display it on the same forms. Is there someone who can show me how I can get the data from another table and display it on screen that is based on another table?

suppose you have 2 table emp_n and emp with same table structure
first check data from emp_n if not found then go to emp
try it:-
you will change block name at run time(query data source)
by
emp_n is old
emp is new
set_block_property('emp_n',QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME,'emp');
if no data found in emp_n table then
change the block query name by
set_block_property('emp_n',QUERY_DATA_SOURCE_NAME,'emp');
in next try it will go to emp table for fetching record

Query to get the data of all the columns in a table except any one column

Can anyone please tell how to write a query to get the data of all the columns in a table except one particular column..
For Example:
Let us consider the EMP table.,
From this table except the column comm all the remaining columns of the table should be listed
For this we can write a query like this..
Select empno, ename, job, mgr, sal, hiredate, deptno from emp;
Just to avoid only one column, I mentioned all the remaining ( 7 ) columns of the table in the query..
As the EMP table consists only 8 columns, it doesn't seem much difficult to mention all the columns in the query,
but if a table have 100 columns in the table, then do we have to mention all the columns in the query..?
Is there any other way of writing the query to get the required result..?

Your best best it to just list all the columns. Any other method will just cause more headaches and complicated code.
If you really need to list all the columns for a table because you don't want to type them, just use something like...

How to get all the data stored on a table?

Hi.
I'm tryng to get all the data stored on a database table but I'm losing in trouble. I've looked for a soloution to my problem in the forums but each post I follow related to this issue gives me a different way to solve the problem and no one works :(
I suppose I have to call the getAllRowsInRange() method from my ViewObject class. But how can I get an instance of my ApplicationModule in order to get the corresponding ViewObject?
I think I messed my head a lot.
Could someone help me please?

However, there are some things that I don't understand. I will look the book but why is necessary to create another ApplicationModule? The fact is that my application just have one ApplicationModule.

At that point, I think a better explanation of my purpose could be helpful. What I'm trying to do is just create a simple page with a command button, and in its action method get all the data stored in the rows of the table. I've seen a possible solution that I understand:

Once you are in Recovery Mode, it's too late to do any backup. I am afraid you are going to lose your data.

Analyse big data in Excel? Why the dynamic tables doesn't take all the data from the source table.

I'm doing a internship in a production line.
My job is to recover production data (input data) and test data (output data) using various types of software (excel, BusinessObject sap, etc).
To this day, I have recovered hundreds of production data, and have also organized in excel but I need to analyze and plot them.
I would like to know who can give me an idea of how I could plot as much data and analysis.
Now i trying to use dynamic charts and plot some data but I did not get acceptable answers.
How could I compare, analyze and graph for example:
Five columns of production (input) with five (5) columns tested (data output).
After graphing.
Someone can give me a technique to analyze data? ie I compare column by column?
or some other technique? as a conglomerate could analyze data?
o give you an idea of the contect, now I perform an internship in a manufacturing turbines.
My job is to analyze the input data (production) and to estimate the possible behavior of the turbines in the tests.
As I said, use dynamic tables in excel, but i have not idea why the dynamic tables doesn't take all the data from the source table.

i tried your idea, i get error in at the over() . I am using sql compact edition and i guess it is not supporting over() function. But i am still going to use the code for example something like this assuming it will work in real time with

How I load all the data in a database table into a cache?

Lets assume I have a lookup table I want to load it upfront into the cache so that the application can use this data from cache. One way is to write code to create a map from the database and call putALL. Is there any better approach to this?
Another thing is if the data is more than 1 GB and if I construct a map of one GB before putting it into the cache the JVM might crash. The question is how do I distribute upront loading of the cache to multiple JVMs. Do I have to use invocation service or is there any thing out of box.

Oracle supports different structures for data and indexes. A table can be a hash table or index organised table. It can have B+tree index. It can have bitmap indexes. It can be partitioned. Etc.
How the table implements its structure is a physical design consideration.
Application code should only deal with the logical data structure. How that data structure is physically implemented has no bearing on application. Does your application need to know what the indexes are and the names of the indexes,in order to use a table? Obviously not. So why then does your application need to know that the table is partitioned?
When your application code starts referring directly to physical partitions, it needs to know HOW the table is partitioned. It needs to know WHAT partitions to use. It needs to know the names of the partitions. Etc.
And why? All this means is increased complexity in application code as this code now needs to know and understand the physical data structure. This app code is now more complex, has more moving parts, will have more bugs, and will be more complex to maintain.
Oracle can take an app SQL and it can determine (based on the predicates of the SQL), which partitions to use and not use for executing that SQL. All done totally transparently. The app does not need to know that the table is even partitioned.
This is a crucial concept to understand and get right.

Hi Kalyan,
It is not advisable to update standard tables directly or through your own module pool programs also. The reasons are,
1. It is difficult to find out how many tables are updated through the transaction. if we leave one table also as Mr.Andrew said data integrity will be lost.
2. Authorization objects and profiles will be totally bypassed if data is inserted through custom programs.
3. Complete data validation is not possible. There are certain validations that are executed through code and appropriate errors and warnings are shown in the transactions. If we insert data directly to the tables anything can be inserted into the table field violating all the validations unless we have field level check constraints on the tables at database level.
4. User Exits and BADIs that are implemented for specific business requirements and checks will not function on the data.
5. Update & Transaction locks will not work properly.
Due to above reasons, definitely you should avoid updating standard tables directly.
There are many tools such as LSMW Recordings, BDCs, BAPIs, IDOCs, Upload Interfaces available in SAP through which bulk data can be updated without using relevant transactions.
You can collect data from end users in text or excel sheets or through custom programs in required format and upload at once through above mentioned tools.

Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync.

I have below mentioned requirement
COSB will show value by object number and need to pass the object number to PRPS table to find the corresponding WBS element and then pass the WBS element to VBAP table to find the corresponding SO line item.
Please let me know as Functional prospect what I have to do to bring this values in COSB table.
