Alternate row color for table question

I'm alternating the row color on a table, and if I have a
<a href> in
the table, the background behind the <a href> isn't the
same as the row
color based on:

Is there a way to have the CSS that formats the <a
href> change at the
same time as the background color for the row??

How about a way to do it without having to learn something
else (like a
framework??)
Anyone done something like what I'm looking to do? Just
change the <a href>
formatting to go along with the inline iif shown below?

Alternating row color for CF report Builder?

I have a user who wants one of her reports to display
alternating row colors for better read clarity. The reports are
rather lengthy and the rows tend to blend in with eachother.

EDIT:: This does work. however I'm not sure how to set a
rectangle to the background of the report so it's behind my
details. I draw the rectangle and it just hides whatever I want to
display. When I look at the report it does alternate with rows, but
I can only see details from the rows that it does not alternate on.
Any clue how to set it to the background?

Is there a Terminal command to set alternate row colors in Mail?

I'd like to enable the alternate row colors in the message list, but the only way I can find to do it requires Developer tools to be installed.
Not bad for my Mac, but it seems a bit of a workload for the other 19 Macs in the office. There's nothing in Onyx or Secrets that'll do this.

Just do the hack once and copy that version of the Mail.app application (or just the MessageViewerContents.nib file) to the other machines. Just make sure that they are running exactly the same version of Mail and MacOS X. This hack will probably not work in Snow Leopard, by the way.

GROUP attribute ruins alternate row coloring

I had the alternate row colors working, but then when I added
the "GROUP" attribute to my
<cfoutput> tag, it's not working any more. More like
random row coloring!
Any thoughts?

when you use the GROUP attribute of CFOUTPUT, your data is no
longer being output in the same order in which it was retrieved.
the CURRENTROW variable is no longer in chronological order (you're
displaying the first grouped element, then 1-n members of that
group, then repeating).
you'd need to set an iterating variable.

(now use 'myRowCountVar' to key off of to determine the

Alternate row shading in tables

Hi all
I've been trying again and again to get alternate rows of my long table in Frame 11 to be shaded.
I succeeded, then did something to remove them, and now I CANNOT get them to reapply.
I am using the Table Designer, Shading tab.
The Heading and Footing Shading works fine, it changes as I change colour or fill.
But the Body Shading refuses to.
Have set Body shading to Shade by Body Rows
First : 1
Fill 3%
Color: Secondary Blue
Next 1
Fill: None
Colour White
When I apply, nothing seems to change. I have the whole table highlighted.
The Custom Ruling and Shading dialog works fine but this is a long table and I don't want to go down that route. Though given the amount of time I've spent on this I probably could have done it twice over...
Can anyone help please? It feels like a FM bug but it could just be something I'm doing wrong.

To understand what your table tag is doing, create a blank table using that table tag.
Once you've got the settings of that table squared away, apply to your existing table.
If you still have problems, then you have custom ruling and shading applied (which I strongly recommend against, along with other format overrides). Use Error's method for removing the overrides, but examine your choices carefully; the custom ruling and shading box is particularly confusing.

Alternate row color?

I would like to know how to make all the rows in a table have alternate color just like the forum message board as we it (i.e white and purple).In fact i am retrieving the data from a Db and displaying it in a table.

This code you have is going through a result set and adding the acronyms to a list.
The bit to deal with alternating colours would be the bit where you iterate through the list, and output <tr><td> tags in a table.
Easiest way is to use a JSTL forEach loop and css styles

That's odd. When I select alternating row color in the Table Inspector I get alternating row colors in the entire table. Is your spreadsheet based on the Blank template?

SQL - alternate rows from 2 tables

Hi, not sure how to best put this, but I have 2 tables for a Sales database. One is for our Sales Agents Actual sales (Agent_Sales, Product, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct....) showing the actual sales by agent. PK is composite Agent_Sales and Product. The other table is similar but for the Targets (Agent_Target , Product, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct....) with the PK again being composite Agent_Target and Product.
What I would like to do is get a listing for each agent in a table listing the actuals on the first line, then Targets on the second. Furthermore the 3rd line will be the variance between actuals and target and 4th line a percentage to target.
I would like the output to look like this:
Jul Aug Sep Oct
Agent_Sales 8 9 10 8
Agent_Target 9 8 8 9
Variance -1 1 2 -1
Percent 0.89 1.12 1.25 0.89

;It sounds like each row in each table has a matching row in the other table. If that's not the case, then you might want to make the join between actural_sales and target_sales an outer join. All the computations might be messier, if they need NVL or NULLIF to deal with missing items.
I wonder if this is the best table design. Perhaps something with a separate row for each month would be better.

Multiple row selection for table element

I have a requirement where I require to select multiple rows from a table element in a WD for abap application.
I have defined a node with cardinality and selection set to 1..n.
The contex node contains 4 fields : emp_name, pernr, manager and position.
The attributes of the table element for selectionmode is set to 'multi' and 'selectionchangebehaviour' is set to 'auto'.
I have defined an action on the 'onleadselection' event.
The code in this method also includes the statement 'lo_el_team_view->set_selected( EXPORTING flag = abap_true ).'
When I execute the application only 1 row is highlighted at any one time when I select it. You can select multiple rows by holding down the 'ctrl' key but I want to avoid having to do this. Is there anything I have missed out causing multiple row selections not to be all highlighted.

My song lists used to alternate row colors but now they're all white... How do I undo this ?

I do not know how this problem began. All I know is that in a guest account, the colors of the rows alternate between white and blue. But now the background is completely white. However, if a webpage or another window overlaps the iTunes page, immediately off the edge of the overlapping page you can see the alteration of colors just a little bit.

This was driving me crazy too, after some digging around here in the forums I found the problem.
Go to System Preferences
Click on Accessibility
Under Display, move the slider labeled "Enhance Contrast" all the way to the left (Normal)
You should now have alternating row colors back!

Alternate row highlighting for library and playlist display

I recently upgraded to iTunes 7 from an old version (4). The old version had a readability feature that appears to be lacking in 7 -- library and playlist contents had alternate rows highlighted subtly. As I have a high screen resolution and use many columns, this highlighting was very useful to me.
Does anyone know if there is a way to turn this on for iTunes 7?

I don't think the source bar ever had the alternate bars, and the library still has it. It does seem to be much more subtle than before, though. Have you tried adjusting the contrast on your monitor?
