ALV list table Contents

I am trying to figure out how to get to the actual list used when ALV displays the data in the ALV container.
I need access to this list to determine the order of the records so I can correctly match error messages with the line they apply to.  Things get messed up when the user sorts or filters the data and the original context table that contains the data is not affected by these actions.
I have been able to find the table contents in debug mode but they are in a protected attribute and I have not found a method that will return the information.   I am sure I saw this done somewhere but I cannot remember where.
If anyone has the sequence of calls to get to this data I would appreciate it .
Glenn

Hi Glenn!
In my case it worked like that:
1. i filled a context node for the alv data
2. afterwards i called the ->set_data-method of the alv with the context node
3. then the user sorts the alv data within the GUI
4. after the user selects an action i accessed the context node via
    CALL METHOD node_xxx->get_elements
    RECEIVING
      set = elements_xxx.
5. i put these elements into an internal table:
  LOOP AT elements_xxx INTO element_xxx.
    CALL METHOD element_xxx->get_static_attributes
      IMPORTING
        static_attributes = lf_xxx.
    APPEND lf_xxx TO lt_xxx.
  ENDLOOP.
6. now the internal table lt_xxx contains the sorted data
    (as the user sorted it in the GUI) of the alv grid

  • How to change the content of a cell in an ALV-List?

    Hi,
    knows anybody a way to change the cell-content in an ALV-List?
    In my case, I want to give the user the posibility to click on a pecific cell
    in the list and change in an edit-mode or similar else!?
    Thanks for your ideas!

    Get the existing field catalog using the method cl_gui_alv_grid->get_frontend_fieldcatalog. Change the edit property in the field catalog and refresh it using the method cl_gui_alv_grid->set_frontend_fieldcatalog.
    Hope this helps.

  • ALV list with count of the table

    Dear all,
    My requirement is i want display the output as alv list along with the count of the table .
    i got the count  but unable to diplay the  below the list.
    please suggest me.
    Thanks& Regards,
    RP

    If you are using a custom control on the screen and then a custom container you can easily do this.
    Create a screen(Size 200 x 240), place a custom control on the screen and make it to the max size  200 x 240. Now in the attributes of the custom control, check the Resizing option for both horizontal and vertical, with some minimum numbers there.
    Now, your ALV grid automatically occupies all the space available on the screen irrespective of the size if the screen and you will have only one scroll bar.

  • Need ALV LIST for displaying Dynamic Internal Tables

    Hi Guys,
                     I have some thing like 2 Dynamic internal tables.
    Say 1st Internal table will be filled based on some condition.
    say 2nd table will be filled based on some condition.
    When appending the 1st Internal table, if that internal table is filled it creates another internal table of same kind and continues so on until some condition.
    In the same way when appending the 2nd Internal table, if that internal table is filled it creates another internal table of same kind and continues so on until some condition.
    My requirement is I need to display all these Internal tables in the output.
    The output should look something like
    1st Internal Table
    some gap
    2nd Internal Table
    some gap
    so on...................
    Is there any standard ALV List, to display all these Internal Tables in such a way.
    Thanks,
    Prasad.

    Hi.
    One thing more here is code which get 10 records from 2 tables and then show them in ALV.
    first when u execute it will show data from ist table.
    when u go back (F3) then it will sow data from 2nd table.
    But if u want to show both ALV on the same screen then u will have to use screen programin and using class u will have to create container and then have to do it.
    But as i above mentioned. that sample code is as below.
    REPORT ztn_test LINE-COUNT 100.
      data: itab_ref type ref to data.
      data: hstr type lvc_title.
    data: tabname like DD02T-TABNAME.

      create data itab_ref type standard table of (tabname).

  • ALV list display is truncated though data is present in internal table

    hi
    There are total 108 columns in my internal table, but the ALV list display shows only 90 , the fieldcatalog and final ALV internal table has the same structure. Please let me know how to display the rest of the field
    Regards
    Monirul

    Hi.,
    ALV List Display will display max. 90 columns it depends on line size 1023., Some times it goes to dump in number of columns increases .,  and some times it displays some columns in one line and other columns in other line which  will not look gud.. better use ALV Grid or OO ALV with custom container .
    hope this helps u.,

    I set some selfmade functions on tool bar of my WD ALV,

    I get same table contents in my method ONFUNCTION.
    What can I do?

    May be somebody knows how I can receive Interfacecontroller

  • How do you display the contents of the "dial list table"?

    We are starting to make use of the Outbound Dialer functionality.  We've setup a TEST campaign with a TEST queue with TEST Agents in the queue.  We can upload contacts into the campaign but once we've done that it appears we have little or no visibility as to what is going on with the Dial List.
    So far I have been unable to find a way to display the Dial List Table to see what is going on.  Is there any easy way to do this or is it necessary to write custom SQL queries to get this information from the Database?  I have a case open with the TAC but so far they don't seem to be able to answer this nor have they offered any other tools to manage and monitor the Outbound Dialing.  (The Realtime and Historical Reports are way short of useful info, IMHO.)

    Hey Beau,
    David and Octavian are correct, if the default historical/real time reports are not enough information, you will need to do some digging into a custom SQL query.
    From the command line, queries can be run with "run uccx sql db_cra [SQL COMMAND]".
    For reference, the DB Schema Guide for the dialing list table will be your best bet in creating the query, and the queries can be run on the CLI to test the output. This can be found here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_8_0/user/guide/uccx801dbschema.pdf
    Starting on page 35. This lists all of the entries and columns that can be found in the table, as well as any related tables.
    Hope this gives you a good starting point. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hi,
    What do you mean by Hiding the records.
    Deleting completely from the screen.
    You can just delete the records from the internal table and pass to field catalog before displaying again.
    or serach in the slis structrue for hiding the contents of the output.
    reward if useful
    regards,
    Anji

  • How to set the focus on the new added line in ALV list (OO)

    Dear Friends,
    I have an ALV list based on OO(using alv_grid->set_table_for_first_display), when I click the 'new' button to add a new line, the mouse arrow is always pointing to the first line - not the new created line for user to input!!.
    So how to set the focus (mouse arrow) on the new added line in ALV list for user to input it friendly?
    Thanks a lot!!

    Hello,
    To get the selected line row first we have get all the rows in the internal table.
    When u click on the button when it is creating the new line we have to pass the row number to the call method
    CALL METHOD <ref.var. to CL_GUI_ALV_GRID > ->get_selected_rows
       IMPORTING
          ET_INDEX_ROWS  =   <internal table of type LVC_T_ROW > (obsolete)
          ET_ROW_NO      =   <internal table of type LVC_T_ROID > .
    CALL METHOD<ref.var. to CL_GUI_ALV_GRID>->set_selected_rows
       EXPORTING
          IT_ROW_NO  =  <internal table of type LVC_T_ROID>
       or alternatively
       IT_INDEX_ROWS  =  <internal table of type LVC_T_ROW>
          IS_KEEP_OTHER_SELECTIONS  =  <type CHAR01>.

  • Refresh alv list display

    Hi,
    how to refresh an ALV LIST display?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Content and Structure Change
    Use
    You are able to change the internal data table in various ways. Depending on which type of change you use, you  have to proceed differently to make the change visible on the front end in the ALV output as well.
    You are able to make the following changes:
    ·        You change content or the sequence of the individual data records
    Afterwards you need to refresh the ALV output
    ·        You replace the entire data table
    Refresh Display of the ALV Output
    If you have changed single values, added rows or deleted rows in the data table of list-type ALV outputs, you need to complete these changes in the ALV output as well by refreshing the ALV display.
    For Changes in the Tree Structure you do not have to refresh the display. In the other ALV tools, you do not have to refresh the ALV output when you make the following changes:
    §         Changes to the Display of Columns
    §         Changes Sequence of Columns in the ALV display
    §         Changes to the DDIC Reference of Columns
    By default, the ALV output automatically scrolls to the beginning. However, you are able to determine that the current display (position on the screen) not be changed.
    You are able to refresh the ALV output in two ways:
    ·        All settings for filters and sorting remain.
    This setting can lead to newly inserted data records not being displayed because the filter setting hid exactly these data records.
    ·        All settings for filters and sorting remain.
    Features
    For changes to content and structure, you are able to make the following settings:
    ·        Refresh ALV output
    ·        Swap the data table of the ALV output
    Refresh ALV output
    With the refresh, you ensure that the changed values are available on the front end as well.

  • REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY does not display internal table contents

    Hi,
    Im having a weird problem at my hand. Im using the function module REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY to display a basic list. I have the contents in an internal table. I have built a field catalog and its working fine. Im passing the internal table to the FM, but in the output I can't see any of the table entries.
    Im new to ALV programming. Please guide me in this regard. Also I would be thankful, if I could be provided with some links for learning more about 'ALV Lists'.

    Hi,
    Check out whether the data is present in the intenaltable or not. Try to debug ur program where it is not processing.
    If the problem persists try to post ur code  in this thread. Let me check it.
