ALV Tree - Change average value

Hi all,
I want to change the average value. For the follow example the hierarchy has 2 lines but it is a summarize of 13 lines. So the right average is (100.00 + 16.67) / 13
SAP average
Expectation:
I am using:
data: g_tree type ref to cl_gui_alv_tree_simple.
Is it possible to change it?

Hi,
Use CL_GUI_ALV_TREE method for creating the Tree, in that create each node by method ADD_NODE. With this method you can do calculation and update while building the ALV Tree.
Just refer the Demo program 'BCALV_TREE_DEMO'.
First get the final output table data.
Loop that table and create each node by using ADD_NODE method.

ALV tree - change node text

hello,
on a screen I have input fields such as year and below a container holding an ALV tree.
When I change the year value, that starts a new selection from a table and should result in changing many of the lines in the tree.
I was trying to use the methods "get_outtab_line" to retrieve the tree line data and then changing this data with method "change_node".
The problem is I cannot access the correct node-key. The node-key value is kept in memory somewhere and when I refresh the alv tree at PBO, the node-key is incremented from the stored value which means I cannot use get_outtab_line properly.
Any suggestions or example programs,

Try using method update_calculations instead of directly using frontend_update.
So the sequence should be,
IF NOT ref_tree IS INITIAL.

****Data fill in a loop
CALL METHOD ref_tree->add_node..

I need to create a report with layout as same as this one

Drag and Drop between two ALV Tree.

Hi,
I am trying the drag and drop event between two ALV Tree.
After the occurence of drag and drop event , I am able to get the node key of the source tree node which is dragged . But when the node is dropped onto the target ALV Tree the target node does not gets selected, instead a plus mark appears focussing on the target node in the target ALV Tree. Can anyone suggest a way to get the node key of the focussed target node. Thanks.

ALV Tree - how to change values of Total

Hi all,
I am using ALV tree (cl_gui_alv_tree). After calling the method update_calculations, alv tree will calculate the total at every node.
Now, I want to blank out the Total value of the root node. I tried to use method change_linde and then frontend_update, but it didn't work.
Here is the flow I used.
- call method update_calculations.
- call method get_outtab_line.
- call method change_node.
- call method frontend_update.
Could you please look at it? I don't know If I missed something.

The req is to change the color of specific row. Now can anybody tell me how to change the color of ALV tree. As in ALV tree and in this method 'set_table_for_first_display', there is no parameter IS_Layout.

ALV Tree - Color Specific Column based on value in that cell?

I am using an ALV tree and I would like to color a cell RED is the value in the cell is negative.
I have set my field catalog to many different emphasize numbers and no luck either?

Dump when changing the value for a field (of 13 decimals) in alv grid.

Hi Group,
Its giving a dump when user is trying to change the value.
dump description: Unable to interpret "70,000 " as a number.
what is happening here is, the original value is 50,000 and he is deleting 5 and replacing it with 7, here its throwing the dump.
If he removes the complete number 50,000 and then gives 70000 its taking the value.
I tried to use, the decimals options in alv field catalog but to no joy.
Please can you give me an advice on this.

the problem is the comma in the 70,000....that's an alpha character.... Normally, we expect SAP to display numeric fields in a appropriate format, based upon their numeric type, but trying to forcibly insert '70,000' into a true numeric-type field can generate an 'unable to interpret xxx,xxxx as number' error.
You could experiment with changing your ALV column to a char17 (or appropriate width) and putting your numeric value into that to display, then converting back to type P, or other field type in the table, in a column that is not displayed, when the user changes the value.... essentially two columns, one not displayed with a routine to copy/convert the numeric field into the alpha field and the reverse when the field is changed.
But, the better solution is probably for the user to understand that they're seeing a formatted numeric field, and that they need to replace the entire value with the only possible punctuation being a decimal and (if necessary) a negative sign.

Average sum for a column in ALV tree layout

Hi,
I've trying to set an average sum for a column in an ALV tree report. In the field catalog i set the DO_SUM field to 'X' and this will do a total sum, but I can't find out how in the code to do the average sum.
Also to get round this I was going to just set a default display variant with the "average" sum option saved after i had manually selected the columns and set it to this. Problem with this is that when i re-run it, the sum comes back as a total rather than an average. I have tried setting display variants on the SAP example ALV tree programs and the same thing happens.
Does anyone know how i can get round this?

In addition to setting DO_SUM = 'X' you need to specify function in H_FTYPE field. It should be set to 'AVG' in your case.

Change toolbar in an alv tree

I 'm using an alv tree.
I need to change the toolbar to add an icon in which we have several choices as for example the icon "VARIANT" in wich we have 3 or 4 entries : "Save variant" (&SAVE), "Maintain variant" (&MAINTAIN), ...(&COL0") --> One icon and several choices
I'm using the method ADD_BUTTON from Class CL_GUI_TREE.

Display of "Average Values Text in ALV grid"

    I use ALV grid to display the fields from a table. I have 15 columns. I need to do average for four columns.
In the field catalog i did a do_sum for those fields.
   When the ALV grid is displayed I get average values for these columns.
Eg. Let suppose the grid looks like
Field1           Field2           Field3             Field4     Field5         Field 6.

My requirement is I need to display the text "AVERAGE VALUES" . ( I need something like this.)

Dear All,
I am working on hierarchical alv tree and using class "cl_gui_alv_tree"

I want to get subtotal value for different node(based on node key) and different column
i am using following method

CALL METHOD g_alv_tree->GET_OUTTAB_LINE is returning 0 value for the subtotal.

Alv output capturing changed Output values

hi all,
I have an alv grid output. In this output i have one column which is input enabled . I will be changing the values and I have a pushbutton in the application tool bar. When I press the pushbutton, by selecting the row with the changed value, that row should be captured in the internal table of a program.
How can I achieve this.

If you are using OOp
call method grid1->get_selected_rows
    importing
      et_index_rows = i_sel_alvrows[].
call method cl_gui_cfw=>flush.
describe table i_sel_alvrows lines v_dbcnt.
if i_sel_alvrows[] is initial.
* Info message : Please select a row
    message i176.                        " Please select a row'.
endif.
if v_dbcnt gt 1.
* Info message : Multiple Row Selection not possible
    message i177.                        " Multiple Row Selection not
    " possible'
else.
   read table i_output into wa_output index wa_sel_alvrows-index.
Here wa_output contains the selected row.
