I do not have a solution, just the same complaint.  ***!  !    I just used the iTunes store 2 weeks ago and now, after reviewing everything they asked for including ID/Pass/ Account Info etc.  I can't even get into the store.  I have tried asking at the Mac store and it has all been to no avail.  I was perfectly happy with iTunes before all of this ********... seriously what is the issue with iTunes?  They ask me to upload a new version (with no system specs anywhere that I can find on the page)  and then say it can't utilized because of system inadequacy.  It is exceedingly frustrating.

Am I the only one experiencing battery drain with the 6.1.3 upgrade?  It went from 100% to 63% in 7 hours WITH NO USE!  I've had worse luck with the i5 than the i4.  This is the first time I regret being in a two year contract.  I might add that this is my 3rd i5

So now 12 days later and another replacement I'm still having issues and apple still isn't helping. My phone has started shutting off unexpectedly again today. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here?

  • Am I the only one having problems with ringer volume since the update?

Am I the only one having problems with ringer volume since the update?? I'm hard of hearing and before updating to IOS7 I could hear my alarm and ringer just fine. Volume is turned up all the way and I've chosen the loudest sounds I could and still having a difficult time hearing.

Annie Hall is available on DVD only.
It is not available for streaming and I believe movies available for streaming are the only movies available with the Netflix app on an iOS device.

After updating my system to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 I can no longer view videos on Facebook or other sites. The only one I can view videos on is youtube. I have downloaded Adobe Flash player and still no luck. I cannot even open Preview on my computer anymore. Any ideas would be helpful thanks

Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
    1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
    Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. If there is more than one item in the folder with the words "Flash Player" (not "flashplayer") in the name, open the respective Info windows, check the version numbers, and delete all except the latest. You may be prompted for your login password. If you get the same error after doing that, re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    2. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
    3. Select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
    4. In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
    Close the window. Then select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.

  • Am I the only one experiencing those problems?

I always get frustrated when I get my macbook with the following errors.. or maybe glitches.
    1. Flash Player --> When online video, using Flash Player to play video, is paused, sometimes the video does not resume even if I click the resume button. Only workaround for this is to go to specific timeline or move the cursor to other part in the movie.
    2. iTunes Player --> No matter what Mac OS X version is, if i try to search the song with korean language, the iTunes Freezes immediately after clicking other area in the iTunes Player. Workaround for this is push the space button after finish writing or click the left or right array key.. otherwise, iTunes freeze.
    3. on "Mail", the Mac OSX default application, if i delete any email with delete key and press Ctrl + Q (Quit button) right after that, "Mail" application hangs until I force quit it.

You are not the only one and it happend to others when still on iOS 6.
    - Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens(if has back camera). For the 16 GB one without the back camera the mic hole is on the top edge near the center.
    - Open the Voice Memos app and see if you see movement on the VU meter needle with changes in noise level trying to be recorded.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Am I the only one with a problem with iMovie since the Mavericks update for Mac???

My iMovie keeps freezing, causing my whole computer to freeze and all I can do is shut it down and then the whole project is gone when I open the computer again. It will say that I have 1 project or 2 projects or whatever but no projects show up? And if I create a new movie with the same name as the previous ones, it will say that the project already exists? This is the third time within 30 minutes I have to start all over with a project cause it just keeps freezing and I have to shut the whole thing down by pressing down the on/off button, cause its the only thing that does not freeze. It's frustrating, please help, anyone?

I have no issues with suspend-resume cycle with networkmanager.

  • Is any one else having issues with iMessages since iOS7?

Since iOS7 I have been having issues with iMessages. They just stop sending and I have to re-start my iPhone or iPad to get these working again. This is happening to my friends as well on different networks but all on iOS7.
Is any one else having this issue?

They had the same issue with ios 4 when it came out and it was resolved with 4.0.1. Before I start the endless visits to noisy Apple stores, I'm hoping they will issue a fix for this and all the other bugs that are popping up.
Hopefully if enough people bring it up it'll get noticed.
    Thanks,

  • Am I the only one having hard drive problems? replaced 2010

I am sooo frustrated I really want to put my laptop on the pavement and run it over a couple of times.  Lately I have been hearing the tell-tale signs of a bad hard drive.  The little scratching noise from the lower left side of the computer - next to the track pad.
Off to Apple I went and unsuprisingly I was told AGAIN how it is a piece of electronics and they are always subject to going bad.. blah.. blah.. blah.
Problem is, I heard this same song and dance in Nov. 2010 when they replaced it the first time.  Of course, my 90 day (go apple) warranty is long gone.  How likely is it that I would end up with the 'same' problem twice (sales guy told me 2% of people have a hard drive go bad)?
I am not 'taking' the computer anywhere - living room / bedroom.  No kids / no pets / no liquid or food on it.  Never overheats / only use a couple of hours a day.  In 20 years of owning computers (always lower end compared to this) I have NEVER had to replace a hard drive, much less two within 30 MONTHS!
So, when I replace this hard drive it ultimately means that I am having to install a new hard drive every 10 months!  Really?  I thought the $2,800 I spent was for something better than this.
Details:  Bought MacBook Pro in Dec. 2008
Replaced hard drive in Nov. 2010
Now have ANOTHER bad hard drive to replace in Aug. 2011
What can I do?  The initial cost of $2,800 will now bring the 'ownership' up to $3,300!!!!  Do I keep dumping money into it or scrap it and cut my losses?

Before you run it over with the car, please contact me. I'll be happy to take it off your hands and save you the trouble.
You can talk to the Apple people and see if they're willing to help out.
If not, buy a HD with a much longer warranty; most are three years, and some, like the WD Black series, have five year warranties. I don't think it's realistic to believe you're going to have to keep replacing HDs every 10 months.
Even if you still want to "cut your lossses," installing a HD for less than $75 to create a working MBP and selling said MBP is going to make far more sense than running it over, giving it away, or putting it on the shelf, and will net you some cash.

  • Am I the only one experiencing this?

I have recently upgraded to Dreamweaver 8 (and updated it to
8.0.2) and have noticed that when I select several checked-in files
and double-click them to check them out and open them at the same
time, only the first file will automatically check out when it's
opened. Then I get a dialog box telling me, "[file name] is a
locked file and can be viewed but not changed. What would you like
to do with this file?" and there are buttons for Cancel, Check Out
All, Check Out, View All and View. I always have to click "Check
Out All" to get them to open. In Dreamweaver MX 2004, they would
have all just been automatically checked out and opened without all
this rigamarole. Can anyone tell my why this is happening and what
can be done about it. It's SO annoying. Thanks. I'm running
Dreamweaver in Mac OS X 10.4.7 on a G5 tower.

see what you have running in the background through activity monitor - all processes......
anything using 10% in the %CPU section will cause your battery life to drop....
when charging your battery - it is on fast charge mode until it reaches 90% then will switch to trickle charge.
to check your battery status - click on your apple logo - about this mac - more info - system report - power.
see if your battery is either in normal or good under battery condition.
also open your disk utility and verify your disk permissions - if errors are found, repair them and restart your macbook once the repairs are done....see if that changes anything..
    good luck..

  • V7.0.1 crashes everytime I exit and does not leave a crash dump. Am I the only one experiencing this issue. Running on Windows 2000.

This started really with V6 and has continued, I have disabled add on's but still it goes on. I am beginning to think Opera may be a better bet.

  • Since upgrading to iOS7 my iPhone's functionality as a telephone has been degraded.  Am I the only one experiencing issues with my ear activating various keypad buttons such as "mute," "speaker" and assorted numerics during phone calls?

  • Am  i the only one having problems today with iMessage?

    iMessages not being delivered

Here is another to add to TheMaxxMann. Did that person have an iphone at one time and did they change to another phone? If so then they need to go into their profile on apple's website and delete the phone from their profile so imessage will not be active anymore.
Have your friend go to this website if they no longer have an iphone.

If they do or they got a replacement phone then they may have to update their product serial number there.

  • Awful Cell Coverage - Am I the only one?

While I love the form factor, solid build and cool feature set of the iPhone, it is by far the worst phone (as a phone) that I have ever owned.
Specifically, where my other ATT phones get reasonable service, the iPhone gets no service. I have a Blackberry 8800 that I use at my home all the time on EDGE to send and receive emails. I never have a problem. In the exact same location, the iPhone reports "no service."
A related problem is that the iPhone signal strength indicator goes from 4 bars to 1 or even to no service in the same spot for no apparent reason.
Lastly, on this issue, when I am in a place that really has no service (like an elevator), the iPhone takes a long time to find service once I reenter an area that has service.
The interesting thing is that in all the reviews, all the posts, no one seems to talk about this issue.
So, I guess, this begs the question, am I the only one experiencing these issues?

It amazes me when people say they don't see others discussing the same problem - this issue of signal strength fluctuating has been discussed many times here, even if not featured in media reports, and a lot of iPhone users have indicated they see the same issue. Indeed, I do on mine, though I don't generally see it decline to 'no service', just vary between 4 or 5 and 1 bar, then back up.
In some ways that's the nature of radio technology though, and as I pointed out in a prior thread on the same subject a few days ago, at the frequencies cell services run, where range is relatively short and power levels low, small changes in signal or interference sources can result in significant variation in signal quality. Pager systems in my locale, whilst operating on primary frequencies well below the cell bands, generate high levels of harmonic signals close to cellular frequencies, which undoubtedly cause intermodulation distortion and disturb usable signal. If such pager systems are poorly maintained (as many are) it's therefore not at all uncommon to find better cellular quality in rural areas where they don't exist than in towns and cities where they do.
That isn't to say the iPhone may not indeed be picking up lower signal levels than other devices - that hasn't been my experience when comparing my own iPhone to other AT&T devices in my area in general though. Indeed, when I see my iPhone signal level fluctuating, others report their AT&T phones typically show good signal, but mysteriously suffer dropped calls and distortions - not uncommonly echo. It's not a scientific study by any means of course, but it does lead me to wonder if the meter on the iPhone isn't so much reacting to changes in signal as interference, which both varies and impacts other devices on the same network even if not their signal meters.
I have also noticed, however, that when moving back to an area that had previously shown full signal after 'no service' was displayed, the iPhone takes an age to register signal again. When experimenting (and I don't suggest this as a solution, I was just playing to test things) I could restore signal almost instantly by activating airplane mode and then deactivating it immediately, which tends to suggest the delay in regaining signal otherwise is likely nothing more than the delay until the iPhone attempts the next handshaking to see if it back in range.

  • Am I the only one with no problems with the froyo 2.2 update

I did my update on 4/20 bout 10:30pm ny time it took bout 10 min to dl and bout 10 min for the install and what not, after that I updated my flash to 10.2 and tried out my new features, was amazed how fast it was like my phone was on redbull, everything is good battery life is bout the same if not better, not having issues like I been reading, so am I the only one, who else out there had no problems updating and no issues with it

I updated my phone to 2.2. Almost everything seems fine. I now have Flash and it made some small improvements in a lot of features such as E-mail viewing is a bit nicer and web viewing is a bit better. Some background colors have changed. The phone seems to run apps a bit faster or improved in minor ways. The GPS Google Maps stuff works well as before. It did reset my phone personalization presets like my homescreen, a minor thing. One game app stopped working but I deleted and reinstalled it and it works fine. I kept all my music, contact list and data on the phone. Nothing lost. All in all I am very satisfied with the update and pleased. Thanks Verizon and Samsung, now please get to work on Gingerbread 2.3.
