AM SDK for UWC problem (new JES 2005Q49

Hi,
I am trying to rush to install the new JES 4 2005Q4 before we go into prod in 2 weeks.
When I do the same install actions than with 2005Q1 installing the Am SDK (so that my UWC talks to the AM remote server ) I get this error. What is it about PKIX path buiding, is this about SSL cert? or is a Solaris package missing ?

Were should I install a cert db and what certificate should it contain ?
Is it the cert8/key3 files in the alias dir of the web server containing the uwc ?
Certs: UWC and the amSDK it uses are not SSL servers, but rather clients that might access the remote AM through SSL, why does it have to have certs and whose certs is it missing ?
I also must add that I used to need to put in /etc/opt/SUNWam/config dir in the file AMConfig-<uwchost>eigch.properties
the "trust all cert" to true:
com.iplanet.am.jssproxy.trustAllServerCerts=true
so that the am sdk could talk to AM on ssl.
I have the same error if I set the am sdk to talk to the am without ssl.

You need the 'Domain' file in which iWeb keeps its data. This lives by default in (user)/Library/Application Support/iWeb. You need to locate it on the old machine and copy it to the same position in the new machine. Note that it is the Library folder in your Home folder, not the one at root level.
This folder is hidden on Lion and above; to access it, in the Finder go to the ‘Go’ menu and hold down the Option (Alt) key; the Library folder will appear as a choice. In Mavericks you can make it permanently visible - open your Home Folder the from the Finder's View menu, choose show View Options and check Show User Library.

If I get this right, you've ported your phone number to AT&T with the purchase of the iPhone. That is considered opening your own account under your name. Your brother's account is not ported to AT&T unless you used his SS# instead of yours. Your brother still has his account under Verizon Wireless, all you did was use your cell phone number to when you opened your own AT&T account.
If you don't want to use your Verizon Wireless phone #, my suggestion is to call AT&T customer service and explain that you want a new phone number instead of the ported Verizon number.

Other than what you have already done, you should clear the cache from your browser and, if you use it, your Facebook app. Also, deleting old texts can free up some room.

What's with the new edition of Pages using Maverick? Google rejects the files with the following message attached "The reason for the problem: 5.3.0 - Other mail system problem 552-'5.7.0 This message was blocked as its content security threat?

I recently upgraded both Pages 09 (I believe) and went to OSX 10.9 Maverick .... now I am unable to send a pages document to a friend on gmail. Google rejects the message and attachment with the following explanation -
The reason for the problem:
5.3.0 - Other mail system problem 552-'5.7.0 This message was blocked because its content presents a potential\n5.7.0 security issue.

IWORKS 09 pages, keynote, numbers does not send in MAIL (mac) because of "This message was blocked because its content presents a potentialsecurity issue"
its a problem not only on GMAIL but also Live, Hotmail, Yahoo, and other services...
The problem is that gmail and others haved yet accepted the latest iworks 09 files. its a problem that apple can ask then to fix but its up to the gmail and others to fix it.
Solution!!!:
1 - Send it by exporting to office files
2 - Saving the files as old iwork documents
3 - Command P and save as PDF
4 - Save in icloud and send the URL
So you can still send them but have to take a bit more of your time

Java ME Platform SDK - S60 Emulator Problem

Hi Everyone!
I am new to S60 development. I searched the forum, and some other discussion forums but could not find any solution to my problem (If there is one in this forum, sorry about that).
I installed Java ME Platform SDK 3.0 Early Access. I also installed Java SDK for S60-FP1, and added this platform to my IDE with no problems.
The problem is, I can write and execute my code on S60 emulator, but Java IDE has got this annoying exception blinking on the bottom right side saying: "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Device S60Emulator not registered!". As I said, I can run the application, but I cannot debug because of some exceptions!
Why this can be happening, can it be a misconfiguration or something?

Did you check Release Notes of the SDK? I've seen it once - if memory serves it lists quite a lot of known bugs.
Maybe the problem you describe is listed there too... and if you're really lucky then description may even mention some workaround for it.

File.upload on Air SDK for iOS devices failed to send http request to server.

I am trying to use ActionScript's File.upload to upload a file on Air SDK for iOS8 environment, but the File.upload does not work properly. No handler about the file upload is executed after File.upload is invoked, and no exception is caught. When I check the network traffic of the server side, I found that no http request even hit the server after File.upload is executed. The code snippet here is very simple.

When executed on Air Simulator, it works fine as expected, and the file is successfully uploaded to the server. But When executed on iOS devices(in my case, iPad), as I explain early, no handler about the file upload is executed, and no the http request even hit the server. So I think the problem may be in the client side. It seems that the Air SDK for iOS just failed to send the http request for some reason.
To make my problem more clear, I list my environment below:
Development Environment: Windows7 (64bit) / Mac os 10.9.4 (Tested on OS platforms.)
IDE: Flash Builder 4.7
Air SDK: 3.8 / 16.0.0 (After I updated to the lastest Air SDK 16.0.0 , the problem still exists.)
Application Server: Tomcat7 + Spring
Target OS: iOS 8
I have been struggling for this for days. So I really appreciate it if anyone has any idea about this.

Crystal XI SDK for VB6

I have a vb6 application the uses Crystal v10 through the CRViewer I need to move to Crystal XI. I know Crystal will no longer support vb after Crystal XI.
Can someone point me to the SDK for Crystal XI and some examples of using the XI version of the CRViewer.

Hi Phil,
Thank you for the info. The file name looks as though it's from our download store, just checking.
XI R2 is almost end of life and is based on old technologies and old Microsoft Framework. Windows 2008 is relatively new OS with updated framework and security settings. To make R2 integrate into the OS would have taken a lot of work and because its now past it's patchable state there was no point in adding the OS to the platforms list, better to spend the time and resources on newer versions. It's like trying to run an old Windows 3.1 16 bit application on Windows Vista or Windows 7, It won't install because the dependencies no longer are installed by the OS.
It should work but if there are any issues we can't help you directly, best effort only. And hopefully others in forums who have tried can help also.
You may have issues with remote desktop, I've seen a few problems but not sure if there were work arounds or not now.
All I can suggest is you stick with supported OS's if the application is critical or if you must use it then be prepared to do a lot of debugging, mostly security setting and permissions for various shared folders and resources. ActiveX and COM components don't play nice on Windows 2008.
Back to the issue.
Download the full build of CR XI R2 SP 4 and install it on your developer PC, requires an uninstall first:

SP 6 is supported on Window 7 which isn't far off from Windows 2008
Next as mentioned, consider upgrading to Visual Studio .NET 2010 and use Crystal Reports for VS 2010, final build should be out next week or so, and start using .NET components for desktop applications. CRVS2010 is basically a full version of the next full release of Crystal Reports so you'll have full functionality and using InProc RAS ( report application Server ) will give you most of the functionality that the RDC has.

One last note, search in here also or in Knowledge Base area on how to deploy VB 6 applications and CR runtime.

Full automatic Itunes synchronization impossible for a brand new Ipod touch 5th generation

Hey all,
I bought a brand new Ipod Touch 5th generation which won't synchronize my whole music library through Itunes (very latest version of the app).
The ipod runs IOS8 and the mac mini runs Yosemite latest version.
I already had issue synchronizing music the very 1st day I had the Ipod touch. As a result, went back to the Apple store for changing it for another device, thinking the Ipod was faulty, which Apple accepted and changed my device for a brand new one.
Since then, still unable to synchronize the full music library through itunes. I performed several full resets both on the mac mini and of the Ipod touch with no success. The synchronization seems to run fully normally with no warning pop up saying it failed or whatsoever and the sync process is very very long. But once done, my Ipod remains empty with no data at all.
The weird thing is that Photos are fully synchronized with no issue at all.
I contacted the Apple assistance who argued that my music library might be faulty and have corrupted files in it. So I cleaned it up, suppressing some files I had in double etc.
BUT still, no success, I had to go through the entire library to sync manually, but even then, I was able to have on the device, only half of the library, i.e. around 25 go. once the ipod display 25 to 30 gb remaining, it won't sync no more files.
Although I cleaned up the entire library and reset both devices hundreds of times, I have no clue why even manually, I'm completely unable to have my whole library automatically sync.
I spent hours on the phone with Apple assistance to get some help with no success so far. I even re-installed Itunes completely, still without any result at all.
I was only able to upload on the Ipod only half of the music library, and there are still 25 to 30 GB space remaining on the ipod and 20GB of music to be uploaded.
The automatic sync process always fails any time I try to run it, except for the photos, books etc.
I must say I also have an 160 GB Ipod classic with which I never had any problem so far, and which fully sync my whole library with no issue at all.
I read on the internet that some other users of IOS8 are accountering the same issue with itunes.
COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP, I'M DESPERATE, given the price of the Ipod I really do regret I bought something that does not work properly. Quite disappointed

Yes the system just keep sync as everything is normal, but then no song is actually uploaded to the ipod.
And the remaining space bar shows the ipod's empty.
the automated process will just keep sync as if normal and the last step saying 'applying the modifications" just keep going on and never ends.
I was only able to upload manually half of the albums, all songs comes from different sources; ripped from CD for great part, but also downloaded from the internet from trusted websites.
All songs play normally through Itunes on the Mac Mini.
But then when trying to sync the whole library automatically, nothing happens and I only get tags of the different albums, as if there, but actually it won't play none and the Ipod player just keep skipping as if no musical data is there.
