Android AIR with DRM Flash Access 3 (workflow DRM client side) ? HELP

Hello,
I'm trying to manage DRM encryption for video with Flash Access 3.0 on Air for Android (or mobile device profile). I looked around and haven't found any awnser so far.
I know that Flash Player on Android devices is not supported by Adobe Flash Access, but it seems a bit different on Android AIR application, but where there is some point that I don't understand and I don't find any answer or exemples.
How to manage the DRM API workflow for Android AIR with Framework AIR?
Until now, i made a custom AS3 video playback (like StobeMediaPlayback), and i am trying to play:
an encrypted video ->           http://drmtest.adobe.com/content/anonymous.f4v (encrypted) and its metadata http://drmtest.adobe.com/content/anonymous.f4v.metadata
and a no encrypted video --> http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/Content/unencrypted.f4v on Android device with AIR framework.
What I understand in accordance what i found this this forum, there are some differents workfows to manage DRM :
#1 - FMRMS (Flash Media Rights Management Server) before Flash Access :
     -NetStream.play()
     -NetStream.authenticate()
Adobe said tha that the workflow above is no longer recomanded, as we have Flash Access now
#2 - Flash Access for (Flash Player or AIR desktop):
(without token authentication) anonymous
(with token authentication)
1. Get drm metadata
2. Create DRMContentData class from drm metadata
3. DRMManager.loadVoucher()
4. NetStream.play()
1. Get drm metadata
2. Create DRMContentData class from drm metadata
3. Identify from metadata that this video requires authentication
4. Prompt user for credentials and call DRMManager.authenticate()
5 DRMManager.loadVoucher()
6. NetStream.play()

Both case use DRMManager class in which you can use loadVoucher to apply the DRMContentData object from a DRM-protected media file
#3 - Flash Access 3.0 for (AIR 3.2 mobile device):
But in AIR environnement for mobile device, I don't found any informations toward a workflow for DRM Flash Access. The official documention say that the DRMManager class "it is not supported on mobile devices. You can test for support at run time using the DRMManager.isSupported property" (source: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/net/drm/DRMManage r.html ). For now, when I test my player DRMManager.isSupported, the return is "false".
Is there a way to manage a DRM player for AIR mobile without DRMManager class ? What is the right workfow for this? Or maybe, I mistaken something. I think some people have succeed with DRM implemtnation on AIR mobile...

On my side, i tested other devices like Google Nexus One (Android 2.3.4 + AIR 3.1), HTC Flyer (Android 3.1 + AIR 3.1) and Samsumg Galaxy tab 10.1 (Android 3.2+AIR 3.1), All support very well the DRMManager service.

Hey guys.
My App exports a PDF and i would like to save it to a location that the user can access without having to install a File-Explorer App first.
Most of the newer Android devices dont come with a File-Explorer App preinstalled (narrow minded IHMO), but all of them have a "Download-Folder" - button. Sadly, the trend seems to go towards "managed file categories for the dongled DAUs" instead of file-paths.
Is there a shortcut ? Like to the other directories:
File.desktopDirectory
File.documentsDirectory
File.userDirectory
If not, someone from Adobe should consider mapping the downloadfolder to something like:
File.downloadDirectory

I recently purchased a Macbook Air with 1.7 Ghz Intel Core i5 4 gb Ram 11" with 128 Gb storage.
All is well but I would like to increase the storage in my Mac, to the maximum possible 512, 1 tb what ever possible.
I am in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia right now. No Apple Stores exist here at the moment. But I have noticed several authorized resellers.
Kindly guide me if, first of all this is possible or not, if yes then how can I go about doing this being in the country (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) that I am.

Probably for the same reason it doesn't do panorama photos or have the Passbook app.....it seems in Apple's version of the world, flashes are needed on portable, pocket devices. And that's not an iPad.

I have a requirement to show the hit count for my image library's item(s). When ever I am opening an image from the image library, I just wanted to show the hit counts. For this I have created a Number column and updating this column by using CSOM
when ever hit happens to that particular item.
The problem arises here, for visitors ( who has read only permission to the site) I am not able to update the column due to permission issue. Since we all know that we can't elevate the privilege from client side script. And also our design says that we
can't give the contribute permission to all the users at the library level. How can we update the count at item level even when the visitors are opening an item from the image library?

Basically when i debug it with AIR, the chat is working properly but the webcam and whiteboard just don't work....I really don't know what's wrong with it already...Appreciate it if anyone can help,thanks!!

My take is , is your autopromote tuned on for the room. I mean whats
your user role when an user enters the room(who is not host), is it 10
or 50. If its 10 i.e. viewer , then he cant use his own cam etc. You
need to take a look at the logs when an user enters and if its 10 and
you want to give him these permissions, turn autopromote on from the
devconsole for the room to make his role 50 i.e. publisher.
I just now downloaded 2.5.1 AIR and created a new project with your
source and I am able to use everything.

Use Native iOS/Android APIs with Flex/Flash Builder 4.5.1?

Is there any documented, official way to access the native APIs on mobile devices (iOS and/or Android, specifically)? Perhaps some sort of ExternalInterface support? My most important need for this is importing 3rd party SDKs, the first one being the Facebook iOS SDK for Single Sign-On.
If not, is support for native APIs planned? Has anybody figured out an unofficial way to access the native APIs?

Nothing official is available; although there is an AIR for TV Document on building ACtionScript extensions to AIR. I expect that "approach" will show up in other AIR runtimes.

How to access custom exception in client side in web services?

I have an interface and implementation of a java web services. One method in it throws a custom exception indicating the error type (authrization fails, db connection lost, etc...). But in the generated proxy file, the catched exception for the correspondent method becames java.lang.Exception. I check the code and found the actual thrown exception is com.apache.soap.SOAPExcetion. In the client code, I printed out all the SOAPExcetion and related Fault messages but could not find my original custom exception info. I need this custom exception to be accessed to the client so the client knows what's wrong.

White screen with a flashing folder & question mark

My IMac froze today and when I turned it off and then back on, it just sticks on a white screen with a flashing folder & question mark... Help?

Reinstall Snow Leopard without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.
Reinstalling Lion Without the Installer
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alterhatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

Custom Client-Side Video Codec for Standard Linux Flash Player

I'm new to Flash development, so please excuse my naivete. I'd like to have the standard Linux Adobe Flash player use an experimental client-side H.264 codec I am working on when playing FLV media (even if embedded within an SWF file) instead of the standard one bundled with the player. Is there any way to accomplish that?

The problem, at least in my case, was QtCurve's opacity. If I have opacity set to less than 100%, flash would not display for sites like Youtube and Vimeo, but worked elsewhere.
The solution for me was to go into qtcurve's settings, and put npviewer.bin in the application exceptions section for window and menu opacity. Doing that, I was able to keep my transparent menus, and also use flash everywhere.
You can find out what the application name is by launching your browser of choice in a terminal with qtcurve debug turned on, like so:
QTCURVE_DEBUG=1 firefox
If you watch through the lines that start with "QtCurve" you'll see "Application name". Look for the one that shows up when you try to load a video. In my case it was npviewer.bin. In yours, it might be nspluginviewer or something else. If you add an exception for that specific application, you'll fix your problem without having to compromise on your theme.

Ubuntu 11.10, Flash Access and DRM

I'm attempting to play a video download I purchased at a British video-on-demand service called Digital Theatre. The service uses a player which is an AIR application:

DigitalTheatre uses DRM with Flash Access.
I have Ubuntu 11.10 64bit and flash plugin 11. I successfully installed both the latest available Adobe Air version for Linux as well as the player. For Flash Access support, I followed the findings reported in the last post in this thread:

The adobe-flashplugin package and HAL are installed (I also tried the flashplugin-installer from Ubuntu repositories). The test video mentioned in the first post of the thread works fine, and DRM events show no errors. However, when attempting to play the video purchase I get "Unfortunately the playback has failed. You are not authorised to view this production". I can't see anything informative in the Adobe Air install log, and running the player from command line gives no data. Previously I had Arch Linux installed, and there in command line I saw DRM error id 3344.
Attempting to launch the f4v file of the purchase in Firefox, it complains that the following two plugins are missing (and cannot be found in the search):
video/x-gst-fourcc-encv decoder
audio/x-gst-fourcc-enca decoder
I have a 32 bit Ubuntu 11.10 on my netbook, the same version of flashplugin and with HAL installed, and there I can play the video purchase without problem. This would indicate that it's a 64 bit issue, but I'm puzzled as to why it is not working on my 64 bit machine, since the writer in the above thread apparently was able to solve the problem with HAL and adobe-flashplugin and since I can play the test video just fine.

Yes, I have done as instructed. Flash version is 11.1.102.55. I had tried deleting the contents of the NativeCache before. No change.
I am noting that the test player in http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/SVP/SampleVideoPlayer_FP.html# with test video http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/Content/anonymous.f4v also gives the error #3344 but then upates the drm module and the voucher files. However, for whatever reason, the player is unable to update them either in Ubuntu 11.10 or Arch Linux.
For further info, in Arch Linux the player shows "Unfortunately the playback has failed. You are not authorise to view this production" and in command line I see the following:

i develope in the last month a full automate packager for flash access 2.0, written in AIR.
I used AIR for the GUI and native process for communication with the jar fp access packager.
I was impressed how fast i can develope a GUI for our customer with the latest flash builder. The hard work was to communicate with encoders like rhozet carbon coder on windows and episode on OSX.
I first thought that i need about 2 days for a stable watch folder function, but if you want toDo a stable watch folder with error and retry managment it can steal you maybe more then 2 weeks of your lifetime for developing.
anyway, i record 2 tutorials and i would like to share how to build your DRM pipelines with other encoders or media assets management. The very interesting part is that it seems to possible to pack h.264 encrypted content into .flv. I think some of you know what this means. I got some examples ready, but need to proof more the flv specs if we transmux everyting right.

1. Navigate to the "Policy Creation" tab, click "New" to create a new policy, and then navigate to the "Play Right" tab.
2. Set the desired Digital and Analog Output Protection levels (see reference image)
3. Select the "Save" button, select it from the pull-down "Select Policy" menu, and then "Use to Package" to navigate to the packaging tab
4. Select your new policy from the "Policy File Name(s)" pulldown menu, populate the filename or directory of the content you'd like to package, and then click the "Package Media" button.

How to publish android app with the new AIR 2.6 ?

Please anyone can help to instruct the correct way to install the new AIR SDK?

And another noob question, are there any differences between "AIR Android" and "Adobe AIR 2" in publish settings when I'm going to create an android app with up-to-date AIR version? I was very confused by the scenario that as long as I upgraded to AIR2.6 SDK, "AIR Android" remains 2.5 though "Adobe AIR2" will surely be 2.6?

Type the entire command on a single line; line breaks in the above example are only present to make it easier to read. Also, the example assumes that the path to the ADT tool is on your command-line shell’s path definition. (See Path environment variables for help.)
You must run the command from the directory containing the application files. The application files in the example are myApp-app.xml (the application descriptor file), myApp.swf, and an icons directory.
When you run the command as shown, ADT will prompt you for the keystore password. (The password characters you type are not displayed; just press Enter when you are done typing.)
