Animation - Can I use an expression (event based) to display an Animation? - New User

I am bench testing my application with a DL05. This has been a great way to learn the Lookout application. Ex: PB, high/low bit conditions representing the same PB's color and text state (PB object with no text description, just color background and with it use a logical expression with text and transparent background). Also, multi state text and background color representation using only logical expressions. This way I do not have to develop bitmap graphics (only have the coloring book MSPaint) for text with variable background color.
Animations: I need the animation (condensor fanpic1 - which I have rotating with a green background - 1 row 4 columns ) to appear upon a Y2 high bit and not visible upon a low. Also, on the Y2 low bit (condensor fanpic2 - which is not rotating with a gray background - using multistate low = condensor fanpic2 high = null graphic) visible. I have tried several scenarios in trying to make animation (condensor fanpic1) not visible/transparent. No succes. It (condensor fanpic1) is always present regardless of high/low state.
I have tested live communications between PB's, pumps, texts, and variable numeric diplays and inputs to various dicrete and Vmemory addresses. K-Sequence protocol. Working well.

Yes. So obvious and simple, duh! With your help. The visible tab works great for the animation.
I should have seen that. Here is probably another obvious one for you concerning the same concept. I want the non rotating (condensor_fanpic2) to be visible when Y2 is low.
I first tried with a Display Multistate if: PLC_RS232.Y2=0 and (graphic space) = condensor_fanpic2; Else ifLC_RS232.Y2=0 and (graphic space) = null. It remains not visible, regardless.
A Logical Expression however works: PLC_RS232.Y2 ON = null and OFF = condensor_fanpic2 visiblility and non-visibilty works great. Opposite state with my animation visibility and non-visibility.
Why won't a Display Multistate described above work with just 2 discrete states assigned?

So im looking to buy a new Mac, but i will NOT spend another $2000+ for apple to call it outdated in a few years.
The Mac Mini looks to be a good buy only if i can it up to be on my DUAL 23" Apple Cinema Displays, Model # M8537ZM/A.
Please let me know what i would need to buy to make this all work, or if it not possable.

Wow, I loved those monitors. Ten years ago. If they're still working for you, terrific; they are quite nice. Unfortunately, the ADC cable is going to make using them with modern Macs a bit of a Rube Goldberg experience.
The late-2012 Mini has a Thunderbolt port and an HDMI port. Both can be used to drive those displays.
Thunderbolt Port
1- Buy a Thunderbolt/Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter.

Note that each DVI to ADC adapter will need access to AC power to provide power to each monitor. You already know this if you have these adapters.
Just something to think about: There are some people still running old Macs with ADC output who are desperate to find good-condition, larger-size ADC monitors. You might be able to sell yours on eBay or through some other means for more than enough to finance your purchase of new, higher-resolution HDMI or DVI monitors and avoid all the adapters and extra electrical taps.

Can I use airport express to extend my network AND stream iTunes???

I have an airport extreme connected to the cable modem and sending a signal out to my home network. I also have a powerbook and an airport express connected to the home stereo.
My question is, can i use the express to extend my extreme signal (to reach the back yard) and stream music from itunes at the same time? The set up utility seems to suggest that you do one or the other.

Are you sure you configured the Express to extend the Extreme's network? If you use the standard setup, the two base stations will be indistinguishable, i.e. you'll only see one entry for the wireless network.
If you were connected to the Extreme when you configured the Express, try turning off Airport in the Airport menu and then turning it back on. The computer should pick up the stronger signal at that point.

Extending using a wireless connection always results in a performance compromise.
If the Express is going to extend using a wireless connection, then the Express will need to be located about half way between the AirPort Extreme and the general area where you need more wireless coverage. The more that you have line-of-sight between the Extreme and Express, the better the network will operate.
Remember......the Express can only "extend" the quality and signal speed that it receives, so it needs to be located where it can get a very good signal from the Extreme. Although Apple cleverly uses the term "extend", a more accurate term for the Express would be "repeater".
If the Express will extend by connecting to the Extreme using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection......highly recommended for best performance.....then the Express can be located exactly where you need more wireless coverage. There is no signal loss at all through the Ethernet cable, so the Express gets a full speed signal no matter where it might be located.

ive tried and cant seem to get it to work...

AFAIK Mail rules do not support boolean expressions.
to do what you want you'd have to create two rules
rule 1
if ALL of the following conditions are met
message content - contains - john
message content - contains - jdoe
and similarly for rule 2.

Yes. You can directly connect an 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station (AXn) using an Ethernet cable. The AXn would then just need to be configured as a bridge to allow the D-Link to continue to provide both NAT & DHCP services for all network clients connected to either router.
In this configuration, the AXn would broadcast a wireless network for your wireless network clients to connect to.

Are you sure that you have a 1st Gen Express?
Check the model number on the side of the Express. 1st Gen is A1264.
If you see A1084 or A1088, these are much older versions of the Express that were sold long before Apple began to use the Generation naming with "n" wireless devices in 2007.
Mavericks will not support the A1084 or A1088. Use another Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC if you need to administer the older Express.

Unless something has changed, you can't. The iPad has limited ability to make repeats. However if you make the custom repeats in another program you can send them to or import them into your calendar and the iPad will respect the custom repeat.

Connect the AirPort Express to the Ethernet port in your room.....to be able to create your own private wireless network in your room for multiple devices.
You will still have to pay the hotel Internet charge for one device, if the hotel charges for Internet access.
If the hotel only provides wireless service, then a single AirPort Express will not help you.
However, if you have two AirPort Express devices, then you can use one to "join" the hotel wireless network, then connect the second Express to the first using an Ethernet cable and create your own wireless network for multiple devices in your room.

Most likely no. That is because most non-Apple router's implementation of WDS is not compatible ... and this is true the other way around. It is true that some early Linksys models, mainly the WRT-54 series were compatible, but I have not seen anything since then that is.

Now after 5 weeks, you have always not resolved this very important and urgent issue. It seems that Adobe has realy abandonned the actionscript / flash player projects. Why not simply discontinue flash player on desktops too ? Or even better remove or block "automaticaly" all flash players with the final update. Deleting the account on your phone only removes if from your phone. The account and it's data remain intact and doing so will not effect your daughter's phone.
To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn any synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off, and when prompted, choose to keep the data on the phone. When finished, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn any data you want to sync with iCloud (contact, calendars, etc.) back to On. This will upload your data to your new iCloud account.
