Animation Export

I have just about had it with FireWorks. When I optimize and
export an animation in gif all my time sequences revert to 7/100.
What is going on? I went to the help menu and followed it word for
word over the past three days and it still will not export my GIF
animation. I know this is not a lot of info however I don't know
what to say, I followed the help text and still it screws me.
Help!

Rowdy,
When you change the timing on an individual frame make sure
that the
"include in when exporting" check box is checked.

  • Animation export not respecting fades

    I don't have much, any really, experience with the animation codec, but was told that for things like basic motion, an animation export is what I want. So I did a custom Quicktime Movie export and selected animation. The video is crisp and clear, it looks perfect, almost. I start the short 5:15 video off with a fade in to a Boris 3D Text Highlight, but animation didn't respect that opening fade in. The titles start fully on screen, and the same goes for the end of the titles. The standard export fades the titles evenly, but animation fades the colors out of the text and leaves all tan text that's easily readable then the next frame it's gone. This happens once more at the end when a similar set of titles should fade out.
    I've tried changing all sorts of field dominance, first making sure that my sequence and export are the same, then re-rendering the whole video to none as the whole thing is comprised of stills, then exported with no field dominance either, but still no luck. I would LOVE to use one of the Animation exports for the DVD, but without the fades, it looks very unprofessional. Any suggestions to try to preserve the fades, and will I even see a benefit when placing these 7-8GB files onto a regular DVD via iDVD?
    Thanks so much,
    -Brian

    After a significant amount of testing, I've come to the conclusion that caching of some kind is definitely the problem I'm experiencing.
    If I create a number of albums, creating new versions, cropping, adjusting, removing items I've decided I don't really want after all, almost every export will export garbage (wrong image content entirely, strangely stretched images that contain only part of the crop area, etc).
    But... If I do the same exact thing for a couple hours, quit, restart aperture, and export them all, everything works "as expected".
    I have to say I'm looking forward to the next patch/bug-fix release of Aperture....

  • Black frames on animation export

    Im in FCP and I am trying to export an animation millions + for manipulation in Motion. The FC video plays fine in FC, however when I export the video - between cuts gives me black frames - Dose anyone know why? This has happened several times on several different videos - some with cross fades and some with not. Help?

    So you are saying basically - that because these files originate as DV, i cannot export them as Animation millions + because its not supported? How then do I retain alpha when exporting a video to Motion - Motion is too limited in video tools - so should I have captured my original footage as Animation in FCP??? Im not sure I get it....
    <
    That's not what I said but I understand your confusion. I shall try again. If your sequence is DV, all of your rendered files are DV. DV has no alpha so, if you are trying to export your rendered DV media, you cannot get an alpha because it doesn't exist in the rendered DV footage; it's all been flattened to DV.
    However, if you remove or cancel or otherwise un-render the clips you are trying to export, and set an in and out point, and use AutoSelect you CAN export your alpha effects to Animation and retain any alpha information that was created with the effects.
    Suggestions: Stop what you're doing, set up a quick sequence in DV, apply some alpha effect to a short clip and export it to Animation BEFORE you render the DV effect. Then render it and export it again.
    Sorry it's not easier to explain.
    Oh, there are very few effects in FCP that actually create or use alphas. FCP's DVE swings, for example, do not actually have an alpha.

  • Blue Animation export in PP CS5

    Hello,
    I am trying to export a transparent animation from Premiere Pro CS5 and for some reason the video comes out with a blue background. The attached picture is what I got when I exported in the animation codex and removed the background.
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Could be a graphic card driver issue.
    Update or roll one back.

  • Tricky animation export.

    Hi all, I'm trying to figure out the best way to export a motion graphic I just added sound to.  it's aspect ratio is 1:1 and was created in after effects.  I'm trying to export it in 1:1.  Is that possible? I'm also running into an interlacing problem.  I tried deinterlacing the video a few different ways, but it still comes out with lines.
    Here's the deetz on the video clip:
    Frame Size: 2000 Horizontal: 2000 vertical 1:1
    Square pixels!
    No fields!
    codec: animation
    I've tried changing the codec to a bunch of different things, but nothing seems to work.
    Any suggestions?  Can I provide you with anymore info?
    Thanks much,
    LMN

    Just select the Quicktime and the codec Animation or whatever codec/format you want that supports custom aspect ratios. Then set the aspect ratio to 1:1 and then type in 2000x2000 where the pixels blank is.
    If you have tried this and it doesn't work then I'm not sure whats going wrong. The only thing I could recommend is then trying to modify>interpet the footage to something else possibly. Maybe try making it upper field and exporting to upperfield and see what happens.

  • Choppy and lagging playback from videos/animations exported from Cs4 (Media Encoder)

    Hello!
    I got Creative Suite 4 (Production Premium). I usally uses AE and PrePro, saves the project and uses Media Encoder to export the footage. My filmcrew got a Sony HDR-200 (I think) who saves in AVCHD, m2ts full HD.
    First I edit the clip with Sony Vegas... Cut the things I do not want.
    Then, I applie visualFX with After Effects and sometimes Premiere Pro. Saves the project. Fire up Adobe Media Encoder and selects "add After Effects Composition".
    I always render in:
    H.264
    HDTV 1080p 25fps
    PAL 16:9 Ratio
    The Video was/is original i:
    Sony AVCHD (m2ts)
    1080p 25fps
    Everything seemes ok. No error messages or anything like that.
    Next step, I import the footage (from any Cs4 application) into Vegas, Movie Maker or whatever software.
    The whole clip, is "choppy". Frames mixes together. The footage is choppy even in Windows Media Player, Winamp... Not just Vegas...
    Example: My actor is going to stand up from the couch. While rising, several frames from when he sat and when he has risen appears. The mixes, last ca. 2 frames each.
    Summary: All Cs4 products exports choppy video... Media Encoder or not... Same problem.

  • Animation export problem

    I am using CS5 to make a simple animation to use in gif form. When I play it in CS5 it looks fine , when I open the Save for Web and Devices menu and play it there it looks ok , but when I use the Preview button in that menu it goes wrong , the images all pile up and the final image shows all the previous images. This is how it looks in the gif that I save from that menu too. Is there an obvious reason for this?
    Thanks

    Hi and thanks for the speedy reply . I actually want a transparent gif at
    the end , sorry , should have mentioned that. I can draw a series of
    transparent layers and that works ok , the problem comes when I import a
    gif or movie drawn using Pencil . It may be connected with the way it
    creates both Frames and Layers in the Layers palette , I'm not sure. As I
    say , it looks fine playing it in CS5 , and one time I managed to correct
    it but have no idea how I did it , and have not been able to repeat that.

  • No animation export, no animation saving...

    Hi,
    my problem is according to:
    -Windows 7
    -Flash Professional test version
    I have built up a simple animation with 6 objects just moving in straight direction. All of them are just a classic tween from picture 1 to picture 2. I can test the animation manually by moving the cursor over the frames.
    the problem:
    -there is no animation, even no picture when pressing enter or ctrl+enter
    -there is no alpha style, even when activated for the first pictures
    -the saved animation (swf) is a picture which is not moving
    -one line should be red is just blue
    Can anyone help?
    thanks

    Thank you for your answer.
    I have started again a second document with the same structure. This time everything is right. The first file was still useless (I deleted it after the second time had been ok). I hope this does not happen twice.

  • Adobe Flash Professional: Animation Export FLA SWF

    Hello to all, I have at present a file in .FLA, and inside there is a module so that 8 images change every 5 seconds, however I change the images but I do not touch the codes, and I have the error:
    Scene 1, Calque 'Layer 2', Image 55, ligne 2, colonne 14
    1120: Accès à la propriété non définie _root.
    I always have this error either Adobe says to me that my file does not work any more in ActionScript 2.0 and that everything will not work correctly.
    Thus quant I puts my module on Web, or that I open him(it) from my computer, it is simple, the file presents the new images, but the lapse of time enters every images is of 0.01 seconds, she(it) scroll(march past) very fast, somebody would have an idea?
    Sorry for my English which is certainly very bad, I try to improve. Thank you in advance.

    flash cc doesn't support as2. if you want to edit/create as2 files, use flash cs6.
    if you have a cc subscription, you can use flash cc and flash cs6, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-cc-and-cs6-apps.html

  • Best Codec for exporting animations with alpha channel from FCP timeline

    Whats the best codec for exporting animations (hopefully using loseless compression) that will retain alpha channel, and use the current sequence settings for fps and size?
    Currently Im exporting image sequences, but I'd prefer a wrapper.. I don't know much about the 'Animation' export codec.. I did notice that set to current size had some funky value of 753x450 or something.. instead of my current project size of 1920x1080...
    Anyhow.. Just seeing what others are doing..
    basically Im reading out some titles that I'll end up dropping over video later.. but since they render out so slowly (**** lower 3rds is slow) Im trying to get a jump on the process..
    Tx..

    PNG should do it. I think PNG is lossless (that's what they say, anyway). But realistically, if you use PNG, Animation, or JPG2000 set on highest quality, I'd dare you to tell a difference.
    I use PNG because it's supposedly lossless, renders twice as fast as Animation in a FCP timeline, and is usually about half the size.
    If you use "Export Using Quicktime Conversion", you will need to check all of the settings manually to make sure they match your sequence settings. This is always true, no matter what codec you use.
    If that sounds risky, your other option is to go into your sequence settings and change the codec to the one you want to render to (this will probably turn your whole timeline red), and then choose Export -> Quicktime movie.

  • Export iDVD animation into iMovie

    I have a MacBook w/o an iDVD supported SuperDrive, so I can't burn a DVD, but I was wondering if it was possible to create my iDVD animation, export it into iMovie, dub it up to the beginning of my movie, and export the whole thing as a QT file to email to friends. This way I have the animation, although not looped or interactive, to use as a title sequence in my movie.
    Any tips/suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Just thought about something. I'm going to try and export the animation as a disk image and then Handbrake it as a QT. A lot of work, but it might turn out to be the only way. If you know an easier one, let me know. Thanks.

  • Jumpy playback from image sequences rendered in Apple Prores and then exported to h264

    I will start by saying I have been using FCP since 1.0 and am in no way new to this software, but this issue has me going crazy.
    First the Specs:
    MacPro 2 x 2.66 Quad cor Intel Xeon
    16 gig Ram
    OS 10.9.2
    FCP 7.0.3 (sorry but I am not a fan of FCP10 at all)
    In other words, a beast of a system that has played back everything I have ever built on it for years until now. So now for the issue: I work with an amazing 3D Max builder and we have created a building animation exported from that program into and image sequence ( we have tried JPG, TGA and PNG still all with the same effect). I open Quicktime 7 Pro, build the image sequence, save as .mov, import into FCP and drop it into my 1080p30 Apple Prores (HQ ... we also tried SQ) timelines. The timeline renders perfectly and I can play the video perfectly through my system out of Firewire 800 to my Motu V4HD device which then converts the signal to HDMI to my 55" LED TV. The video and playback is perfect.... until:
    If I try to play back the same exact time line into an exported video file, the file will play back with random jumpyness in it. I say random since you can play it back 10 times and it will hiccup during playback at different spots in the video. If you review every frame in the file though using Quicktime 10, 7 or VLC viewer, every frame is perfect. So, it must be the data rate right? Wrong. I have exported now to H264 MP4, M4V, MOV , ect, etc at different data rates from 4mb to 40 mb per second. They all have the same randow jumpyness to it. So it must be my computer right? Nope. I have a Macbook pro that is more powerful than this machine and I rebuild the file using the same method (something I have done a thousand times before) and the exported file does the same thing on that machine. I had my friend do it on his machine... same thing. ERRRR....
    We have even tried using After Effects and Premier to the same result. Rendered it straight from Quicktime Pro, same. Rendered it to 720p30, same. Render it to 24fps, same. I had another editor render it using whatever methods he wanted to use... same. Tried Compressor, SAME.  Tried Adobe Media Encoder, SAME......We even, god forbid, used a PC running Premier and built the image sequence and rendered to h264 at 30fps, 5mbs.... @#$@#$ SAME!
    We just remade the 3D Studio Max export into a 60fps animation since I thought that the individual frames we appearing too far apart and thus causing the jumpyness. That was causing the playback of the upclose objects flying across the screen fast to appear jittery, but not the random playback jumps. The 60fps did smooth out the animation greatly during fast flybys, but the playback jumps are still there in all players, QT, VLC, the web, etc.
    I was starting to think this issue is realted to Mavericks, but since the PC did the same thing that is not it either. I have linked a sample of the clip below exported to 720p30, 25mbs... something that is much smaller than the original and should playback smooth very easily on any of my systems.
    FYI: I have now opened numerous projects I have edited over the last few years and noticed that all of them are now jumpy, so this isn't just an image sequence issue. While the other projects don't use image sequences and instead are shot footage edited together, there is still the random jump (far less than the image sequence as you will see) but they are now there... ***? I have cleared preferences in FCP which helps for a short period of time, but once exported I get the same glitch.
    As I said... I am stumped... ANYONE have ideas for me to try?
    Here is a sample file for you all to see and please tell me if anyone does not see the issue after playing it several times in a row.
    www.media3lv.com/switch/NORTH-sample-720p30_25mb-sec.zip
    One last thing to note... my main goal for these videos is YouTube or Vimeo playback via our company website. I have a few other animations online right now using YouTube and the problem is also showing there. At first I thought it was just my videos, but I have looked at numerous YouTube videos now showing 3D animation and alot of them are jumpy.
    www.supernap.com/supernap-building-design.html
    www.supernap.com/supernap-tscif-exchange.html
    These don't show the issue as bad since the camera fly is much slower, but why is this occuring and is it coming from my source, or is this a known youtube issue? I can program this using out own modules, but YouTube and Vimeo allow for multiple resolutions and a checker script which makes it easier to share over all devices at all quality up to 1080p.
    Advice is welcome and appreciated?

    I have tried at actual, full screen, using 1080p30 size from the original compressed to 4mbs (something my system can handle without blinking), 720p30, etc. etc. etc.  Nothing stops the jumps. Even the activity monitor shows only 5%-15% processing being used by QT and/or FCP.
    I plan to pull my old G5 out of the closet, it runs 10.6.8 and is still rock solid for video editing in FCP7.  If it plays smooth on that 8 year old system then I know it's Mavericks. I'll try that tonight. It floors me though why the original 1080p30 will playback perfect via FCP and Motu, but once I turn of external monitoring and just try to play it via the preview monitor it is jumpy as **** and then the exported file does the same thing.  So strange.  I even deleted prefences of FCP and that does help with screen playback initially, but it always gets jumps in it after playing for a while.
    I knew I should not have started using Mavericks and I HATE FCP10.

  • Bootstrap, height of edge animation and others div content in the page- overlay issue

    I’ve a problem with the position others div tags in a page with a edge animation in the top (in the below example, div “box-animation”… export it with “publish target: Web”).
    The static content (in the below example, class “content-static”) is always overlay to the animation, instead to view it below div “box-animation”.
    The first solution is to set an height for edge animation container (for example, #box-animation height: 500px) but its very complicate to manage it with responsive website.
    So, how to view the static content in a div tag after an animation create with edge animate, to avoid overlay effect?
    This my first animation with Edge Animate and I always thought that the animation would have been placed in the html order of the webpage...
    Thanks
    Example:
    <body>
    <div id=“box-animation”><div id="Stage" class=“animation1…”>[edge animation]</div></div>
    <div class="container">
      <div class="row">
        <div class="span12">
          <div class=“content-static”><p>Test content</p></div>
        </div>
      </div>
    </div>
    </body>

    Hi... put a trasparent gif image, with the same animations's width/height, in the first div after the edge code container.
    If you want responsive layout, remember to remove width/height values.
    <body>
    <div id=“box-animation”><div id="Stage" class=“animation1…”>[edge animation]</div></div>
    <div class="container">
      <div class="row">
        <div class="span12"><img src="images/spacer.gif" alt=""/>
          <div class=“content-static”><p>Test content</p></div>
        </div>
      </div>
    </div>
    </body>

  • Blurry Video Exports

    Hello!
    I am working on a new project using the CS4 Master Collection and experiencing some issues using Premier Pro CS4.
    I've created a new project in Adobe After Effects CS4 and exported a quicktime movie with high quality "animation" settings
    applied to it.  The animation exports perfectly and is as crisp and clear as it gets.
    After importing this video into Premiere, applying some audio and and a title, then exporting, I get blurry video.
    I have tried almost 30 different settings to export the video even using the animation setting in Premier. ( which ends up looking like a compressed .gif file! )
    No matter what I try, it's always blurry and compressed looking.  So far the best setting for quality is using the "Apple Intermediate Codec".
    However, it's still not comparable to the After Effects Settings.
    Here are my settings for After Effects:
    Quality: Best

  • Making an interactive pdf with animations and a video?

    Hi Everyone,
    I'm working in InDesign CS6 and I've made a interactive pdf with swf animations, exported it to an interactive pdf and everything works great from the little animations to the page curl. Now, I would like to put a video in on one of the pages.
    I've placed it as a .mov and a .mp4, exported as a .swf. It works great in the swf and the html file. It even works great when I export the video page as a interactive pdf by itself.
    BUT, when I export all the pages in my doc (with the animations and the video) as a swf, then RE-import into ID, to export as a interactive pdf... the pdf only gives me a static window. ALL the other animations and page curls work though.
    So there's a disconnect between the video and going from a swf to a interactive pdf.
    Can anyone tell me what step I'm missing or if this just isn't possible yet?!
    Thanks so much!!!

    Without seeing actual file, it´s hard to say what´s going on... but have you chekced that Flash Player in Acrobat finds your video? When you export SWF from InDesign, videos or any other placed rich media files are not embedded into the SWF. InDesign creates a resources folder next to SWF and stores those media assets into that folder. If you don´t have that folder same place with exported SWF, you will have problems.
    If you place your video file into your layout and export as PDF, there shouldn´t be any problems. But if you place your video file into your layout, export as SWF, place that SWF back to InDesign and then export as PDF... then you will lose the connection between resulting PDF and resources InDesign created.
    One way to solve that is to use public URL for placing videos. Thwn you won´t need actual video file stored locally. Downside is that Acrobat/Reader may throw an alert about that.
    Another way is to open your Interactive PDF to Acrobat, select placed SWF and embedd resources folder into PDF manually.
