Ant Deployment of ESB DVM (domain value mappings)

Is there way to deploy domain value mappings stored as xml-files to the ESB using an ant-script?

Hi Sjoerd,
I tried to use the ESB client API but got this error when running my ant-task.

requestProps.put("importMode", "overwrite");
ConsoleClient client = ConsoleClientFactory.getConsoleClient(getHost(), getPort(), getUsername(), getPassword());
client.perform("ImportDVM", requestProps);
I decompiled the ESB client API and saw that the contentType is hardcoded to application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Any idea to solve this?

    Can esb DVM(Domain-value mapping ) support multi-language ?
    Edited by: user10732687 on 2009-8-23 下午7:39

    DVM is designed to use in English only and not intended to support Multi language. It is the job of consumer application to convert from English to native language(Chinese in your case).

    Hi,
    Can you confirm whether you are able to successfully register your ESB project through JDeveloper? As I can understand from the error description that there are few issues found in sample_system.esbsys file.

    Hi,
    Please refer this blog. Yatan has explained clearly with screenshots.
    http://yatanveersingh.blogspot.com/2011/07/mds-implementation-in-oracle-soa-11g.html
    In the MDS repository, you can keep the artifacts like abstract wsdl's, dvm's, xsd's, fault-policies, fault-bindings etc..
    Hope this helps...

  • Why all the domain values disappeared from ESB control after chinese map?

    hi,
    when I creating a domain value in chinese in the ESB control and confirm it, After I restart the
    soa service, all the domain values that I created before and the one in chinese disappeared.
    Although the domain values in english desappeared, in the code they are still can be used.
    But the domain values in chinese can not be used.
    All the maps(both english and chinese ) are in DVM Repository.
    Can you help me ??? Why all the domain values disappeared from ESB control ?? thanks
    wanglinli

    two collegues of mine ran into a similiar problem. Their ESB console seemed empty as well.Until one of them let the console open for about 10 minutes and the services/system re-appeared.
    Indicating that when the services do not show up could also be caused by a serious performance glitch or the services are calling external systems which time out.
    Another option is to wait for a few minutes and see if your services etc show up again.
    I don't know where this performance degradation is coming from though. The only thing I noticed is that the ORAESB schema ( advanced install ) is installing al of its objects in the USERS tablespace and that most ( almost all ) tables do not have any indexes / pk / fk's on them.
    Maybe one or two indexes could speed up the ESB repository considerably.
    Dave, In the upcoming 10.1.3.3 release is the repository in any way altered? Default tablespace? PK/FK and/or extra indices on certain tables/columns?

  • Domain Value Mapping (DVM)..

    Hi,
    We are using Domain Value Mapping (DVM) for quick retrieval of required data value for a field at run-time.
    I have found one solution at : http://guidoschmutz.wordpress.com/2009/12/25/implement-domain-value-maps-dvm-with-oracle-service-bus-osb-10r3/
    Scenario:
    From legacy service I get value of field - CountryName as complete name of country. (e.g.India)
    I want to convert the value to "IN" before passing back to proxy service.
    While using above link solution i get following errors:
    1. Runtime mismatch
    2. Expected exactly 1 item, got 0 items (The legacy service has compulsory value for CountryName, legacy is not passing null back)
    The platform we use is, OSB 10gR3, does it support DVM?
    Any ideas how to use DVM? How to use binding variables in DVM?
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Piyush Kapoor.

  • Is there a way of changing the jdevappunknown_ folder that Ant deploys to?

    Using Ant DeployESBSuitcase doesn't work when deploying Projects with dependencies.
    Steps to re-create error:
    Create a JDeveloper ESB Project called ‘ProjectB’ and add file adapter called ‘WriteFile’ to write a file. Deploy this project using JDeveloper.
    Create another JDeveloper ESB Project called ‘ProjectA’ and add a file adapter called ‘ReadFile’ to read a file.
    From ProjectA’s routing service add a routing rule and use ‘Browse Target Service Operation’ (Gear wheel icon) and select the deployed ProjectB_WriteFile service.
    Deploy ProjectA using JDeveloper.
    Use Ant to create a deploymentplan file for both projects by running the ExtractESBDeploymentPlan target.
    Note: As these projects are saved under their own directory structure
    C:\Workspace\Local\ProjectA and C:\Workspace\Local\ProjectB you will need to copy the ..\ProjectB\ProjectB_WriteFile.wsdl to the ProjectA folder.
    Confirm that ProjectA and ProjectB Ant build files DeployESBSuitcase properties (esbMetadataServerHost and esbMetaServerPort) point to another server other than the one you have just deployed ProjectA and ProjectB to using JDeveloper. i.e. a clean server that doesn’t know about these Projects
    Deploy ProjectB using Ant’s DeployESBSuitcase target.
    Deploy ProjectA using Ant’s DeployESBSuitcase target.
    An error is now thrown
    C:\Workspace\Local\ProjectA>ant DeployESBSuitcase

    This error is thrown as ProjectB’s wsdl file cannot be found under esb:///ESB_Projects/Local_ProjectB/ProjectB_WriteFile.wsdl.
    This is due to Ant deploying ProjectB under …\ESB_Projects\jdevappunknown_ rather than …\ESB_Projects\Local_ProjectB
    When deploying ESB projects from JDeveloper they are created under the following structure: <Oracle_Home>\integration\esb\oraesb\artifacts\store\metadata\files\ESB_Projects\<JDev_Workspace>\<Project_Name>
    However when using the Ant target DeployESBSuitcase ALL projects are deployed to the same folder:
    <Oracle_Home>\integration\esb\oraesb\artifacts\store\metadata\files\ESB_Projects\jdevappunknown_
    Is there a way of changing the jdevappunknown folder used by Ant deployments?

    James,
    Following my steps above I don't get anything in the deploymentPlan for either ProjectA or ProjectB which includes a WSDL URL I can modify.
    ProjectA includes the ProjectB_WrieFile.esbsv file which contains the following line:
    <wsdlURL>esb:///ESB_Projects/Local_ProjectB/ProjectB_Write.wsdl</wsdlURL>
    Is there something I can change which will mean when I regenerate the deploymentPlan it will include the WSDL location?
    Thanks

  • Error in Domain value mapping.

    Dear all,
    I was trying a simple file to file scenario using ESB with the Domain value mapping(DVM).
    I was trying to replace the incoming long state codes with the short keywords.
    I was using the DVM to configure the field to be changed in the XSL map.
    I have also configured tracking fields for Routing service and the Outbound adapter in the ESB Console.
    But after the instance the long names are not replaced with short keywords it come as blank in the place of names.
    In the ESB console the RS is tracking the fields and the outbound adapter not. I was using a simle text file which has two columns Andrew, Bangalore delimited by comma and optionally enclosed by space.
    Please help me.

    Thanks for the reply Chintan,
    Yes it is not working, I was doing the esb-customerdvm.pdf sample DVM as specified in the following link
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/esb/files/esb-customerdvm.pdf
    My map also has three columns and I was the specifying Map name, Source column name as "Long" and the target column name as "Short" and the default value as "" in the lookup-dvm function in the XSL stylesheet.
    And I have also specified the trackable fields for the Routing service and the Outbound adapter in the ESB Console but after the instance only the RS shows the tracked data and the Outbound adapter doesnot and it shows Nodata.
    When I give the Input as the text file with columns Prasath, Chennai in the output file the Prasath is only coming what I expect is Chennai should be replaced by its short name CH but it is not coming like that.
    Here I also specify the coding of XSL Stylesheet map.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <?oracle-xsl-mapper

  • Deployment of ESB for 10.1.3.4 (trying to amend Endpoint properties)

    I have downloaded the new deployment code (esbdeploymentautomation) to enable you to deploy an ESB between environments.
    I am deplying an ESB process from Dev to Systest.
    I have amended the build_tst.properties file to include all the relevant info and the build.properties.
    At the bottom of this file I have added
    # Values required for replace tasks.
    code_dir=C:\Project\Client\jdev\jdev\mywork\dii\esbInt110Flow
    search_text=/u01/esb/out/XX/int110_01
    replace_text=/u01/esb/XX/INT110/out
    These lines are trying to change the Endpoint property of a FileAdapter where the directories are different in the new environment.
    I run extract.sh and it successfully creates a deploymentPlan_tst.xml. Great!!
    I can then successfully run the deploy.sh and it deploys my ESB into the new environment but it doesn't change the Endpoint property.
    When you look at the log files generated it doesn't even appear to try and run the replaceToken process.
    Any ideas if this replaceTokens actually works?
    When the extract.sh is run it also generates logging which seems to suggest the replaceTokens runs after the DeployESBSuitcase:
    *Build sequence for target(s) `ExtractESBDeploymentPlan' is [ExtractESBDeploymentPlan]*
    *Complete build sequence is [ExtractESBDeploymentPlan, DeployESBSuitcase, replaceTokens, usage, UndeployESBEntities, ]*
    But from what I can see when you finally run the deploy.sh it only runs the DeployESBSuitcase process and nothing else.
    The only reason for using this automaytion process is so that we can amend Endpoint properties and URLs as we deploy but this is the part that doesn't seem to work....
    Help!!
    Regards
    Stuart

    You need to run the replaceToken before the deployESBSuitecase.

  • ESB DVM in Oracle BPEL

    Hi All,
    1)Can we use the DVM created the ESB, in Oracle BPEL.
    I checked the developer guide of ORacle BPEL 10.1.3.1,it says it is currently not supported.
    Is this supported in 10.1.3.4??
    2)I have creted a DVM in ESB control.
    The name of the DVM is Vendor.
    There are two columns inside the DVM
    columnn,value
    And there are two rows of data
    1)Currency code, GBP
    I tried using the look-upDVM function in the XSLT
    The configuration was
    <xsl:value-of select="orcl:lookup-dvm('Vendor','Column','Currency Code','Currency Code','')"/>
    But this is not fetching any value.
    Please help me i this regard.
    Regards
    Ashwini

    Hi Ashwini,
    As per the document, you can either have the DVM store din your local file system as an xml or can store it in your ESB Repository so that it can be used when you are specifying a transformation in a routing rule.
    Two possible scenarios :
    (1) You can import an XML lookup file exported from a database as the basis for a domain-value map . To import an XML lookup file exported from a database as the basis for a domain-value map.This scenario assumes that you exported the schema from the database using a tool such as XSU, and have converted the exported file to use the schema required for ESB domain-value maps.
    (2) Move a domain-value map from a test system to a production system.
    Hope that's much clear now!
    Cheers

  • Domain value Mapping types.

    Hi,
    I have a doubt with the Domain value mapping whether they are classified into static DVM and dynamic DVM.
    The static part I have finished where we will be creating a new map in the ESB console and refering it in the XSLT map using the lookup-dvm tool.
    I want to know whether there is dynamic type of DVM is there and how it works.
    If there is any link for the dynamic type of DVM please specify me.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply Chintan,
    Consider my case I have given the Incoming cityname Chennai as Long in ESB console, and the Output after Domain value mapping will be CHI as mentioned in short field in the ESB console.
    If this is the case anyone give the older name of Chennai which is Madras the incoming cityname Madras after Domain value mapping must also come as CHI in output where Madras is not mentioned in the Console.
    I want to know whether it is possible or not.
    Thanks.

  • Domain Value Mapping with Text file

    Hai,
    I have done the Domain value mapping with the xml file to xml file and it is working fine.
    But in the case of Text file to Text file it is not working i.e. If the citiname is the
    first field it is domain value mapping and working fine.
    INPUT:
    Erode, Mahes, 22
    Coimbatore, Veera, 22
    OUTPUT:
    ED, Mahes, 22
    CBE, Veera, 22
    But if I change the Citiname to the second column it is not working the problem is
    it is not working for subsequent columns.
    INPUT:
    Mahes, Erode, 22
    Veera, Coimbatore, 22
    OUTPUT:
    Mahes,, 22
    Veera,, 22
    The input Text files are delimited by "comma" and optionally enclosed by "space".
    Does anyone have attained the DVM in the Text file successfully.
    Please help me.

    Thank you for the reply Abhi
    Text to Text means instead of giving the input file as XML file i am giving the input as a simple .txt file and I also want the output in the .txt format.
    For the text file only it is not working fine in the xml file to xml file it is working fine.
    For your another query I am not providing the correct parameters for "lookup-dvm"
    I am giving the xsl file
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <?oracle-xsl-mapper

    But in my case in text file it is working for the first column but not in the subsequent columns.

    Hello Everybody,
    I solved this error by myself as follows:
    So, what I did was; I started the RemoteGui.bat (C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program) and from the Undeployment tab, I selected “mainapp01” and “com.sap.engine.docs.examples”.
    The reason I undeployed the above applications was because when I was trying to deploy the mainapp01 application, it gave an error saying that “: Cannot deploy application pcbp.com/mainapp01.. Reason: Application alias [/] for application [pcbp.com/mainapp01] already exists in the HTTP Provider Service. The application that holds this alias is [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples “.
    And, then I restarted the J2EE engine and from the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio, I again deployed the mainapp01 application on the local J2EE engine and it was deployed successfully.

  • How do I create only SOAP WSDL bindings when deploying my ESB?

    Currently when I use either jDeveloper or the ant deployESBSuitcase task to deploy the ESB that is the entry point to my application I get two bindings in the deployed wsdl. One soap binding that my client will be using and another esb binding. Is it possible to modify the deployment plan to only generate the SOAP binding? Do I need to have the esb binding for an esb that is only used as the entry point to my application? I would prefer to have the wsdl that is exposed to my clients to not have the vendor extensions if possible.
    thanks

    I have experienced the exact same problem. There is no good solution to these poorly designed and overly complex login protocols. After unsuccessfully trying to retrieve my password or change my password  I finally set up a new email account, a new Apple ID and a new iTunes account.
    I know it is not a good solution, but it worked.
