Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Now try a video.

Did you try restarting it by holding down the hold and lock button at the same time until you get the apple logo? If you already tried that then you should try putting it in DFU mode and doing a restore by following these instructions- http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034

Sammyhunter lets get you back in action! Has there been any physical/water damage to the device? Try pressing and holding the home and power button together. Once the Apple symbol appears release both buttons. Keep us posted!

Make sure all of the videos used in the project that is having that problem are from the same event. If they are from multiple events, move them all into one event.

Thanks so much but none of that helped. It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive. I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!

Water damaged iphone 4s. Dried out but no sound for alerts video unless on headphones

Hiya, Ive Water damaged my iphone 4s. I left it in rice for 24 hours and everything seems to be working fine except alerts for text keyboard clicks video you tube ect but this all works if i plug my earphones into it. When i click the volume button it brings up the speaker icon on the phone but no bar to show the volume.
Ringtone works fine and can hear when I call fine.
I was just wondering if anyone knows wha I would need to replace or how I can fix this. The phone is out of warranty.

Befor paying the out of warranty fee and getting a new phone, put your phone back in the bag of rice for a few more days. Then reset your phone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help, it's time to visit Apple for a new phone.

Icloud calendar. When I try to print from any of my devices, all I get is a black screen..the background of the icloud main site. Need to print. How do I get it to print?

When I click on almost any picture, in any album, to enlarge it, the pic starts to enlarge and then all I get is a black screen with a large exclamation point in the center. What have I done to my iPhoto program, and how do I fix it?

Recently, whenever I click on almost any of my pictures, in any album, in order to enlarge that photo, it starts to enlarge but then,
very quickly I get a black screen with a large white exclamation mark in the middle. And no full sized photo. Boo!
What did I do to my iPhoto program, and how can I fix it?

I'm sorry. Too old to understand this stuff. I'm sure this seems real stupid to you. But I have no idea how one
would "right click on the Original iPhoto Library" (I know, I know, 'as stated").
Do I right click on the symbol in the dock?? Or open it first and then, . . I can't find a way to right click on the word iPhoto in the top bar.
Or should I open the program you had me download. There I can find something called "original iPhoto library".
When I "right click" on that I get some options. None of them are "original folders". There's "reveal library in finder", and "dupilicate library and "sort libraries". I have no idea if any of these are what you want, or if any of these might change something.
When I clicked on "reveal library in finder" earlier on it showed me the copy of the photo library that I made a while ago, sitting right where I know it is on my desktop. And if I click on that symbol it shows me all the pictures again. Just like in my regular iPhoto files - all the thumbs are there, but most can't be opened to full sized.
Are we making progress here? I'm sure this is frustrating to you. This is just pictures of family. Even the thumbs are nice to look at. But this is nothing critical - like work related or anything.

I need to get my ipod fixed ihave tried the reboot by pressing the two buttons. have also restored from itunes but it still has a white screen and the rest seems to respond if only i had a photographic memory i could still find what i need.

Place the iPod in recovery mode using this program:
For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
For MAC or PC
The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
Then restore to factory settings/new iPod. If still problem you have a hardware problem.

this is the message that comes up when i try to rebuild it or do anything to it as far as opening iphoto:
your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable
… shut down and restart your computer then open iPhoto again. if that problem persist. try rebuilding your photo library. to do this, quit iPhoto and then reopen it while keeping the option and command keys pressed. you can also try restoring your photo library from a back up.

Remember to hold both the alt and command keys while launching to get the rebuild menu.
If that fails then your options are
Restore from your back up
or
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
