Any way to transfer songs from iPhone TO iTunes on MacBook Pro?

I'm an idiot.  I'm just going to say that up front.  I feel that's fair for all who venture here.
I've had a terrible time with an update..and I wasn't able to get iTunes to acknowledge/recognize my iPhone or iPod once I ran and installed the current update.  While trying to get my iPhone/iPod to be recognized, I did a lot of removing/uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes.  During this mess.....I somehow DELETED MY ENTIRE iTunes LIBRARY!!!  The whole thing.  I have no idea how.
I thought I had been backing up....and thought I had Time Machine so I was safe.  I was wrong.  I won't even ask about Time Machine here....I've already disclosed I'm an idiot.
I am finally able to get iTunes to acknowledge my iPhone.  Thank goodness.  But, now......I have Songs and Playlists on my iPhone that aren't on iTunes.
Is there any way to transfer songs from iPhone TO iTunes?
Thanks!

  • Easiest way to transfer songs from iPhone to iTunes?

I've purchased at least 50 songs directly from my iPhone. Now, of course, I need to transfer those songs to my iTunes w/out running the risk of having my iTunes music library replace my iPhone playlist. Anyway, I tried a free product called iPod Access, but I had a problem (most of my songs didn't appear on the IPod Access list). Is there an easier way to do this?
    Thanks

No--I went to "Preferences" and changed that (this is what the Ipod Access directions indicated that I should do).

  • Is there any way to transfer songs from ipod to itunes?

accidently deleted songs in library, but i still have it on the ipod...is there anyway i can get the songs back from my ipod to itunes?

    if ur OS is windows..
    i reccomend u use Copypod [www.copypod.net]
the trial version allows u to recover up to 100 songs..
if u want to recover more..
u have to purchase the full version..
and make sure u dont update ur library..if u do ur songs will be gone forever
    hope it helps!

  • Is there a way to transfer songs fron iphone to itunes

is there a way to transfer songs from iphone to itunes

"The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The exception is itunes purchases.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases"
There is no way to transfer non-iTunes purchases from an iDevice to iTunes without using third party software.
It has always been very basic to maintain a backup of one's computer and the important data on it for events like this.  If a backup existed, it would be a simple matter of copying the content from the backup to the new computer.

  • Is there ANY way to transfer songs from ipod to library???

I have an Ipod mini, and I have received about 200 songs from 3 or 4 of my friends libraries, but now I can't put those songs in MY library. I really want to burn some of them onto cd's etc etc in case my ipod goes down, but the songs need to be from your LIBRARY. Is there ANY way to do this (trick, program, accessory, etc??)
If not, is there any way to burn songs from ipod to a cd?? I want to get a support together in case my computer or ipod break. Thank you!!
By the way, obviously I have Windows. Its XP to if that helps.

  • Any way to transfer music from iPod to iTunes

I had to get new laptop and lost all my music from the iTunes I had on the previous lap top. Is there a way to transfer music from iPod to iTunes ?

Or you can do it the cheap way...
In the options screens, check "Enable Disk Use." Your ipod should then show up in your My Computer as a new drive.
In My Computer, go to TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS...>View [tab] and under "Hidden files and folders," choose to "Show hidden files and folders"
A new folder will pop up in My Computer's Ipod Drive letter called "Control" or something like that. You should be able to dig around in there and find a bunch of mp3s randomly named... Those represent your music files. Drag all the folders that have your music in it to the new computer's harddrive.
Now go into iTunes, "add Folder to Library," Choose the folder that you drug from your iPod and iTunes will import all your music as if nothing happened. Synch it up and it will transfer all this "new music" to your iPod, replacing the old music with the "new" stuff. You'll see... It's like nothing ever happened.
Please note that you'll lose your ratings and playlists... But honestly... Who cares??
    Happy transferring!

  • Is there any way to upload songs from iPod to iTunes?

My old computer broke,so all of my songs from my old iTunes are gone. Is there any way that I could upload the songs from my iPod, to my iTunes? Is there any type of software I'd have to download, that could do this?

    Hi Bubblez,
There're lots of programs that can help you doing this. Transfer songs from yoou iPod and bought on iTunes Store is even easier, you just need to click "Transfer Purchases" on the left Source Panel.
Just read this [thread|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6189621&#6189621] and pay attention to the Zevoneer's post.

  • Is there a way to transfer music from iPhone to iTunes?

I recently had a nasty virus on my Sony Vaio and my hard drive had to be replaced. Although I had all of my pictures and documents backed up, the only places that I had my music (3,000 songs) was on my iTunes library and my iPhone 4. All of my music was gone when I got the new hard drive. The music that was on iTunes was from CD's that I borrowed from my friends and mixes that they gave me, so I can't transfer the purchases through my account. I have Windows 7 on my PC and the latest version of iTunes. I've been lazy and haven't updated the software on my iPhone since summer. If i update the software on my iPhone to IOS 5, is there a way to get the music from my iPhone back to my computer via iCloud, or is there another method that I can use?

Google for software to extract the music from the iPhone.
There is no supported way via iTunes to extract the media.
Once you've rebuilt the library, BACK UP everything!

  • Best way to transfer songs from iPod to iTunes

I had been using a LaCie 320gb firewire 800 drive to hold all of the music for my iTunes plus a Apple Lossless backup of all of my CD's.
Recently the LaCie drive decided that after 18 months it had had enough and died on me (but that's another story).
To cut a long story short, I've lost all of the music from my computer and need to retrieve the 11,000 songs from my iPod and get them back onto my new SATA drive.
What's the best way of transfering my music back to my hard drive? I've seen various applications such as iPod RIP, are they any good? Can I retain playlists, playcounts & other Metadata? Any thoughts or recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
I'm running iTunes 7 by the way.

  • How to transfer songs from an iPad onto a MacBook Pro?

    Hi,
So I recently purchased a MacBook Pro. Before that though, I had a windows laptop and an iPad mini. The iPad mini was synced to the windows laptop, which broke. I then set up an iTunes account for my Mac with the same apple ID as I'd previously used, and made purchases on the iTunes Store on my Mac.
Basically, I am now stuck with my songs which I had on my iPad before purchasing the Mac which I cannot get onto my Mac and I am stuck with purchases on my MacBook which I cannot transfer to my iPad. I have not synced my iPad to the library yet, although I have authorised the MacBook. Some of the songs on my iPad were not purchased on the iTunes Store either, but I do not want to lose them.
Any ideas on how to sync my iPad with my MacBook without losing anything?
    Thanks!

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer. iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. • Transfer music from iphone 4gs to new macbook pro

    Hi,
I need assistance on how to transfer music from my iphone 4gs to my new macbook pro.  My previous macbook pro was damaged and I can't get the music from the old macbook as the hard drive is severly damaged.
I dont want to loose my music, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure that there is a way to get it directly from the iphone since it would count as a new computer being synced blah blah, there are some third party programs you can use but im not sure on them and they arent free. Your best bet would be to simply redownload them from itunes (assuming you got them from itunes) you can redownload all your music as much as you want.)

  • Is there any way to transfer music from the old iTunes to iPhone 5S?

I am still using my old macbook, version 10.6.?? (forgotten), I don't intend to upgrade the OS X, since everything is working fine. So the iTunes in it is also the older version, since my software doesn't support the new version of iTunes. And thus, I can't get my music into the iPhone 5S that I've just bought. Any kind souls that can help me with this?

  • I cannot transfer songs FROM iPhone to iTunes

I am not able to sync my iPhone songs to iTunes library.

Have you tried checking the manually sync songs (instead of automatic) in the device overview screen (the one that appears when you click on the iPhone in the sidebar)? Then click the triangle next to the iphone in the sidebar and click on the music tab and try manually dragging the songs to your library.
