AP Creditor Cleansing

Hi All,
We are about to undertake a cleansing exercise on our creditor records. An initial workshop has raised a few issues in data entry and the subsequent difficulties in reporting on vendors and transaction types. I am certain that these issues must have been overcome by other Oracle users.
I would be very grateful if anyone could advise on the following:
Creditor Classification
• Do you use the standard creditor classifications (Header Level)? If No, what changes did you make.
• Do you use any other creditor classifications? E.g. DFF.
• How do you deal will dual classification eg. Council Tax and Supplier.
• Do your interfaces create creditors automatically? Is this an issue?
Invoice Transaction Types
We also have some difficulty in identifying creditor transaction types. We currently have two invoice types "Standard Invoice" and "Credit Memo", which cover all manually entered payments.
Do you use any other transaction types for Pro Formas, Payments to individuals etc?

Dear Satish Dwevedi
I also face this issue now , have you get the solution of it?
could you share it with me?
thanks a lot

  • Data Cleansing in CRM Web UI

    Dear Experts,
I have activated Data Cleansing in CRM 7.0 and it is working.
Can anyone advise on the setting or configuration required to get the CRM Data cleansing functionality to copy communication data stored at the relationship from the Source record to the Master record.
    Example:
Company A has a relationship with Contact person A - this relationship has a mobile number and email address maintained.
When merging the account of Company A (source) with a duplicate company A1(master), we need to copy the relationship (already occurs) between Contact Person A and Company A and the relationship level mobile number and email address to the master account which will be company A1 (this does not occur).
Currently the relationship level communication data is not copied.
Please provide step by step config settings to enable this. I already have the SAP Notes on Data Cleansing and have covered all WIKI's on the web. What i need are specific steps to overcome this issue.
    Thanks!!!

In order to transfer communication data maitained at the Contact Person relationship level, you have to maintain the required node in transaction BUSWU02: BUP115     Contact's Work Address and BUP120 Contact's Communication Data
If data is still not transferred, SAP has released notes: 1243559, 1491950, and 1493240.  to resolve.  Check the relevance before implementing.

  • How can I do multiple edits, cleansing against data

We are processing outside data and we want to edit and cleanse the data prior to loading to ensure the data is good and follows normal data referential integrity. We are loading the source data to a SQL Server Table. Can I then read this data and bounce
up against our database to ensure the data is clean? Some of the cleansing would entail table joins. So do I do this through an OLE DB Command to our application tables? And can I use raw SQL with the parameters from each row of the outside data in order to
do the table lookups to our application database? And how do I do that using OLE DB Command?
Thanks for your review and am hopeful for a reply.

Not sure how you cleanse but most likely you need to implement the Lookup Transformation https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms141821.aspx
bear in mind it is an expensive operation so it may take a long time and resources.

  • Inactive Trade Lines - Close or let it ride til the Creditor closes it?

Hello all: Thanks to the advice of the forum I have had great advances in my credit worthiness. At this juncture there are several trade lines that I am not using and expect to go inactive. I know that the creditors decide when they stop reporting and at some point may even close the inactive accounts. The accounts not being used are:Chase Freedom $2k CL @ 21.24% (paid off in Apr 2015, not using because of interest rate and never have been offered a CLI, oldest card opened in 2009)Citi Double Cash $2k CL @ 19.99% (paid off in Apr 2015, not using because all CLI requests denied, opened in 2012)Apple Barclaycard $3k CL @ 21.99% (paid off in Apr 2015, not using because of interest rate, opened in Nov 2013)JC Penney Credit Card $2.3k CL @ 26.99% (paid off in September 2014, not used since, spouse uses their JCP account to earn rewards and PIF each month, opened in Jan 2014) The accounts being used are:Venture $15k CL @ 17.9% (opened June 2015) - PIFQuicksilver $5k @ 17.9% (opened May 2015, 0% til Feb 2016) - Carrying $3k balance til 0% endsDiscover It $4.5k CL @ 18.9% (opened June 2016, 0% til May 2016) - Carrying $4k balance til 0% endsAmerican Airlines Store Card $750 @ 25.99% (use this for travel as airfare charged is 6 months no interest, always PIF by month 6, opened Nov 2013)My Best Buy Store Card $1.5k @ 25.24% (use this for bonus Best Buy points, always PIF each month, opened Dec 2012) I do not like having the accounts sitting around for fear I might miss a fee, change in terms, or something else that would give me a baddie because I did not pay attention. I am not a fan of pulling cards out of the sock drawer every so often to charge something. I am working to keep things as simple as possible.  Obviously the big accounts are all newer but the CLs more than exceed my needs and the 0% balances will be PIF by the promo expiration. With the trade lines as they are now would it be worth the risk to the score to close the accounts I am not using (and don't intend to use)? Or should I just keep them around until the creditor gives up on me using them? Thanks for reading,TBG

Be aware that if you close cards your overall utilization will go up.  Just something to consider.   I would probably escalate your CLI requests to the EO/facebook/twitter before giving up on them.  If that is the only reason you're getting rid of them.  "I do not like having the accounts sitting around for fear I might miss a fee, change in terms, or something else that would give me a baddie because I did not pay attention."As for that, there are apps online and on your phone that will keep track of all cards/payments due.  I use prism on my iphone.  Some use mint.

  • BP_TASK Data Cleansing

    Happy New Year Experts,
I have a question or three for you on Data Cleansing in the Web IC.  I will explain what I have done and what I need answers to.
The setup of the Data Cleansing Cases and Account search is fine.  We can search for Business Partners and Merge Now or Merge Later and then search for cases if we chose to Merge Later.
When we go into the Case to process it most of the functionality is fine.  What isn't ok is this BP_TASK config .
I understand that in order to execute the 'START' button in the Case Processing screens you need to have the Task config setup.  I have done this to an extent as described below:
    1) Setup Number Ranges - IMG->CRM->Master Data->BP->DQA-> Maintain Number Ranges [Create line 01-0000000001-9999999999]
    2) In Task (1003) add the action profile BP_TASK - IMG->CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define transaction types
    3) Create job CRM_BUPA_REALIGNMENT (periodic job 5-10 min)
Point 3 is what I am coming unstuck with.  I cannot create a periodic job without assiging an ABAP Program to run etc.  There is nothing anywhere that says 'use this program or method' when creating the job step.
Secondly, when I select the 'START' button in the Case Processing screen - after confirming the changes, the case errors with a vague message saying the case cannot be saved.  However, if I actually hit the 'SAVE' button the case saves and the changes I confirmed are processed between the various accounts.  So the whole process is about 95% great and 5% annoying.
Before the questions, all authorisation settings are good as well.
    The questions are then:
    1)  What parameters are required above what I described for the periodic job?
    2)  Does the 'Task' transaction type need to be in the Business Transaction profile for the specific business role the Data Cleansing functionality is assigned within?
    3)  Once a task is created, I guess that the job will process these and that a user does not necessarily need to manual process these tasks?
    4)  Should I change the Action Definition and Condition at all over and above the standard setup that it is currently in?
Any help and guidance would be great - I'm afraid I have 'Wood for Trees' syndrome now
    Many Thanks for any assistance.
    Regards,
    Mat.

  • What are the Cleansing steps we can perform outside the DMU tool?

We need your advise on this
According to DMU documentation, There are three possible reasons for a value to have invalid binary representation in the database and their respective fixes using DMU tool
    a) An application stores binary values,
Fix: To cleanse the invalid binary representation issues for a column storing binary values, migrate the data type of the column to RAW or LONG RAW.
    b) An application stores character values in a pass-through configuration and the values are encoded in one or more character sets different from the database character set.
Fix: To identify the actual character set of data in the column, select the column in the Cleansing Editor and repeatedly change the selected value in the Character Set drop-down list, until all values in the column are legible.
    c) An application stores values that have some character codes corrupted due to software defects or hardware failures
Fix:To cleanse randomly corrupted values, edit and correct them in the Edit Data dialog box.
What are fixes we can perfmon outside of DMU tool for above issues and how?

Data cleansing is potentially one of the most time-consuming steps in the migration process depending on the data volume and the extent of data exceptions found. The DMU is designed to allow most of the cleansing actions to be performed prior to the conversion downtime window without impact to the production environment. You can choose to have the cleansing actions committed to the database immediately (immediate cleansing) or saved and executed later as part of the conversion phase (scheduled cleansing). Many of the cleansing actions may not be easy to accomplish outside of the DMU or could require significant manual workload otherwise. In your case, I think you have several options:
    1) Upgrade to a DMU-supported database release first and work on Unicode migration separately from the upgrade. This way you can leverage the DMU cleansing features to address most of the data issues beforehand and only deal with any incremental data issues in the migration downtime.
If you must do the upgrade and Unicode migration in the same downtime window:
    2) Prepare scripts for operations like enlarging column sizes or migrating column data types based on the latest iteration to speed up the process. Keep in mind you may still need extra work as the incremental data changes since the last iteration could affect the cleansing requirements. For invalid data issues, if they are caused by all data being stored in a character set different from the database character set, then set the assumed database character set instead of setting assumed character sets for individual columns.
    3) Use DMU and Streams setup to achieve near-zero downtime migration, see the page below for details:

    Hi,
How can the DQ Global Address Transform be restricted to give all the out put field values in English text?
Even though the input text is in English, DQ transform gives the address field in Non English characters as its a Hungarian address.

why is my mac so slow i have cleansed and cleaned it is a 2010 mac mini i5 but it runs like a 20 year old pc i have only had it for a few months and it was straight out of the box

I'm thinking that you have a > Mac mini (Mid 2011) - Technical Specifications because the 2010 model's only have Core 2 Duo processors and the 2011 had the first i5 processor.
2 GB of RAM is the minimum requirement for Mountain Lion, but it's hardly enough to really enjoy doing anything else.
see > Memory and Free Installation Guides for Apple Mac Mini
Plus I don't have any problems running Mountain Lion and a load of App's on my 2010 Mac Mini with 8GB of RAM.

  • Aged Creditor Report - Due & No Due

    Hi Experts,
I have an issue with Aged Creditor report. my user wants the report as below -
In the report he wants two more rows need to be added, the rows are "Due" & "No due" and these two rows need to be based on the Net due date.
Due-->amounts which are overdue i.e. > net due date calculated in SAP
Not due u2013 amounts where open items date < net due date
Do i need to create a selection in the report for these two feilds & have to restrict with the netduedate (both Less than & Greated Than). Please correct if i'm wrong.
Also what i'm unable to understand is-"Where does these Due & No-Due data will be picked from ?? " i have seen that the report is running on the 0FIAP_C03 Cube, and this cube do not have these due & No-due feilds.
    Kindly suggest..
    Thanks in advance.

    hi,
In your case for Aged Creditor report you need not create two rows, you can do this at runtime only.
Add two CKF's in the report for and the report output will be as
customer              total amount               Due              Not Due
    XYZ                        1000                         200                  800
The user must be running the report based on a date in input selection or is the report by default set to run on the system date.
In case it is run based on the variable then define the CKF as follows
CKF Not Due -- this will be the sum of two RKF's (Cleared item & Open item) i.e. if a item is cleared by a day it is not due or if it still open then it can't be due.
CKF Due -- This also consists of two RKF's (Cleared item & Open item) Cleared item which was cleared late then the date on which it was expected to clear and the Open items which are yet to be cleared and the due date has passed.
There will be three dates coming in your flow::
Posting date: this is the date on which the document was posted
Due date: this is the date on which the document was supposed to be cleared.
Clearing date: The date on which the document was actually cleared.
In case the user is running the report based on a variable date (V_date) then the RKF's should be defined as:
    RKF's Not due ( Cleared item) --
all the amount with  (posting date  <= v_date and due date>= v_date and clearing date > v_date)
    RKF's Not due ( open item) --
all the amount with  (posting date  <= v_date and due date>= v_date and clearing date = #) there is no clearing date in document , this means that the document is still open.
CKF Not due = RKF's Not due ( Cleared item) + RKF's Not due ( Open item)
    RKF's due ( Cleared item) --
all the amount with  (posting date  <= v_date and due date < v_date and clearing date > v_date)
    RKF's  due ( open item) --
all the amount with  (posting date  <= v_date and due date < v_date and clearing date = #) there is no clearing date in document , this means that the document is still open.
    CKF due = RKF's due ( Cleared item) + RKF's due ( Open item)
In case you are not using input variable for date but the system date then replace v_date in the above KF with the variable providing the system date.
    hope this helps.

  • The creditors report is not matching with the G/L account

    Hi Gurus,
The creditors report is not matching with the G/L account ,where i can go and find out the differences ?
    Please give me advice,
    I will assign points
    Thanks&Regards,
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
    There could be three reasons.
    1. You may have more than one recon accounts for different vendor groups. So, you need to select all the GL accounts when reconcile with Vendor balances.
    2. You may have some special GL transactions, which may post to different reconciliation accounts. Please check Special GL transactions (Down payments so on)
    3. Your vendor recon accounts may be changed after some postings. Please check. If changed, you need to select these GLs also for reconciliation with vendor balances.
Hope this will help you. If not clear please reply, I will explain you.
    Pl. assign points if useful.
    Thanks

  • Creditors Aging Report

    Dear SAP Experts,
I am running Creditors aging analysis through the Standard SAP transaction FKI3 (Vendor line item analysis). But the report output is not matching with the vendor line item display (FBL1N). But if I select NOTED ITEMS in FBL1N ,then the report matches with the FKI3 output. Now the client needs that the report output of FKI3 should include only Normal Items and Special GL Transactions only ,but not noted items. So i want the report FKI3 to exclude Noted Items.
    Please provide me a solution.
    Thanks in Advance.
    R.Sathyaraj

    HI Sathya,
You can copy that program and re-write the logic required to exclude the noted item.

  • Difference in balance as per Sundry creditors account in TB and sub-ledger

    Hi,
I am front end user in SAP B1. When i generated the trial balance and the Creditors sub-ledger account i found there was a difference as per the TB and the total of the Creditors sub-ledger account. This difference is appearing inspite of ticking the box add journals, can anyone pls tell me why the difference is occuring. Urgent
    Poornima

    Hi Poornima,
The best way of determining what the correct figures are is to query the jdt1 table (journal entry rows).
The business partner can be found in the field shortname and then sum debits and credits to get the true balance of each Business Partner. Please note that the figures in jdt1 should be the true value in case there is a difference.
To work in the right direction it is important to break down the figures and that way identify where the difference is coming from. The break down can be by BP and date period. Also please check if the BPs are using multiple Control accounts if some figures are hidden there.
Please note that the most common reason when these kind of issues are reported is that some of the report criteria has been defined in a way that will lead to differences. That is speaking from my own experience.
    Hope it helps.

  • System asking for Fund Center for Reconciliatation GL-S.Creditors

    Hi,
I followed the steps as per the note, Dump Error due to Fund Management module activation now the dump error is gone, but I am getting one more error message while posting any transaction.
For example- I am posting a Vendor Invoice in F-02.
I am entering Cost Center in Expense Line. But system is showing error message for Vendor Line, that is Vendor A/C.
    Error Message:
No funds center entered/derived in item 00001 (TY01/50101400/)
    Message no. FI313
    Diagnosis
In company code (&2) the component Funds Management is active. This requires the entries or the derivation of a funds center.
You can use the following elements to derive the funds center: company code TY01/ account 50101400 or CO object .
    Procedure
Enter a funds center or ensure that the funds center can be derived from the possible assignments by:
assigning a funds center in the commitment items- master record or maintaining the assigning of a funds center to the CO object.
Note***GL A/C 50101400 is S.Creditors account. Now, I am not understanding why system needs Fund Center for S.Creditors in Vendor Line while posting Vendor Invoice. We have assigned Statistical Commitment Item in S.Creditor GL and hence there is no Fund Center assigned to it.
    SCN names removed/
Message was edited by: Eli Klovski

    Sorry for that. Its noted.
Just for some clarification. Fund Center and Commitment Items are mandatory fields, but the issue I am facing is completely different.
I checked with FMDERIVE in my system and checked the pattern for Fund Centers and Commitment Items created. Only P/L items and Cost Centers are created as Fund Centers and Commitments Items.
Also, the S.Creditors GL is not a Cost Element, hence there is no link to Commitment Item- FMRULES.
    1. Even though, the S.Creditors has been assigned with Commitment 1.
Commitment Item-1 Master Conditions as below:
    Financial trans.-30
    Commitment Item Category- 3
    Is this conditions correct?
    2. We have Fund Center- Dummy as well.
Can you suggest me, how to configure this in FMDERIVE?
