AP Div tag's absolute postioning not working

I have been trying to figure this problem out for about 2 hours and I have nothing. Div tags 98-101 are positioned in the right place when I'm looking at my page in Dreamweaver. But when I preview the page, those 4 div tags are not where they're supposed to be (they're in the bottom right of the page, hundreds of pixels from where they're supposed to be). Any ideas?
Here's the code if it will help. Sorry its really long.

Div tags 98-101 are positioned in the right place when I'm looking at my page in Dreamweaver. But when I preview the page, those 4 div tags are not where they're supposed to be
I thought I was reading it wrong, but you really do have 101 AP divs on the page. I don't have the time to go through your code, but using absolutely positioned divs as the sole basis for page layout is likely to lead to massive problems. AP divs (or layers, as they used to be called) were all the rage several years ago, because people wrongly thought they would make web pages work like desktop publishing. I used them, too, until I realized they caused massive problems.
It won't solve your current problem, I'm afraid, but I recommend that you take a look at the following page, which describes some of the problems with AP div/layers: http://apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php.

  • HT5096 This procedure absolutely does NOT work

Because of the sparse storage format of the Backups.backupdb directory, the Finder thinks the directory is much larger than it actually is. In fact, in many cases, such as mine, it thinks that it is MUCH larger than the physical drive on which it resides.
For example, I have a 1TB drive and the Time Machine directory claims to be more than 5TB. When I go to copy it over to another 1TB drive it says that it cannot execute the copy because the size is too large and there is not enough room. Although there actually is enough room.
In any case, the procedure outlined in this memo ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT WORK.

Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] and see if that helps!

  • Embedding youtube video inside an Ap Div...? Not Working...?

    Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the all the help in the past.
I am having major problems trying to embed my teaching youtube videos into my website.  the basic (and very rough layout is here: http://www.jlgtuition.com/Tuning_Up.html
Ive just checked and suddenly its working in Firefox but NOT in Google Chrome?.  As I want to make the site compatible to phones and tablets I need the video to be working in at least Firefox and Chrome and on Ipads....
Does anyone know am I missing something in the embed code..?
Here it is along with my ap div:
    <div id="apDiv97"><iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/vemn6XwC2ec" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>
I am getting an error message in Google Chrome saying (from within the div) when you mouse over the video itself - The file or directory could not be found...?
I am sure Ive left something out (ID class maybe..?) here as regards the code...
Even on a test page its showing up completely blank....?
I'm new to embedding videos and have quite a few to do along the lines on the layout of this Tuning Up" page...
    Any help really appreciated...
    Thanks a lot
    James

Just so you know, APDivs are pure poison in primary layouts.  Until you can explain exactly what they do and how they effect other content on your web pages, you should avoid them like the plague.   Despite what you may think, APDivs are not your best friend.   Here's why:  http://www.apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php
Re-build your site with a pre-built CSS layout and learn to use floats, margins and padding to align elements.
Before we can examine why your YT video isn't working, you need to fix your HTML errors. Among other things, you have too many <title> tags, unclosed <head> tags and other issues that can effect performance in browsers.

  • Absolute URLs  not working when file is on a remote server.

My client has asked me to provide a template for an investor relations section of their website. The HTML page or template for this page will be at the service providers site, but all the images etc. for the page will be linked to files on my clients server. Everything looks fine, but the absolute URL's in the .swf file back to my clients site aren't working.
This is what the service provider's guidlines say, but I'm not sure where the code is supposed to go:
Similarly, newer versions of the Flash Media Player installed by most users have a high level of security enabled by default. This is done to prevent Flash movies from playing on web pages that are hosted on different domains than the movie itself (again, to combat “phishing” or “spoofing”).
You do have the ability to overwrite this feature by proactively developing your Flash file so that it contains the following lines of code:
    System.security.allowDomain(“*”)
    stem.security.allowInsecureDomain(“*”)
    Sy
You should also add the following line of HTML within the embedded Flash call in your HTML template:
    <param name=”AllowScriptAccess” value=”always” />
This solution requires edits to the ActionScript of the pre-compiled Flash file, and is not something we can edit. For further guidance and more information, please speak with the developer of your Flash file.
    Thanks

the easiest way to deal with security issues is to avoid them.  if all files are on the same server, use relative urls.
otherwise, you may have to deal with security issues.  whether you do or not, and if you do, how you deal with them, depends on what you're trying to do.
you may be able to use System properties but you may need cross-domain security files.

i upgraded itunes, which caused it to stop working...i have uninstalled, reinstalled, system restored, tried everything. i just want my itunes back working. please help me in resolving this issue. i am running norton antivirus 2006 if this makes any difference. PLEASE HELP!!

  • App Loader absolutely will not work.

AppLoader used to work flawlessly for me until updated desktop manager. I have tried every troubleshooting step that seemed to work for everyone else. I've un-installed desktop amanger including remove user data option. I've un-installed all blackberry os installs on my pc. I restart the computer, re-installed desktop manager, installed new os package. Still nothing, I get the same error over and over: "Handheld Application Loader Wizard has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Some more information I obtained about the error if it is helpful is:
    Error Signature: AppName: loader.exe    AppVer: 6.0.1.33 ModName: loader.exe  ModVer: 6.0.1.33  Offset: 0015a360
My PC is Windows XP 32bit running service pack 3.
Please help me as I been over countless webpages through google and through these forums, nothing seems to work.
Additional information that may or may not help is that previously it used to ask for AppLoaderWebSL[1].msi over and over, that how now sudsided on my 5th clean install of Desktop Manager.
The error occurrs after I select my device, It says "connecting to JVM" then boom I get the error.

Try installing the OS to your device with these instructions.
Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.
    1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • Absolute URL not working for reply in workflow

I've setup a workflow that will email a group when a new discussion or reply is added. I get the email with the subject of the discusssion and the absolute URL for new discussions, but when a reply is created the email comes without the subject and the absolute
URL goes to a page that doesn't exist.

    Hi,
When it comes to a reply in the discussion list, you need to take extra steps to get the URL. You can set the workflow actions like this:
If Current Item: Content Type ID equals Discussion
Email user group(use the Encoded Absolute URL in the email content)
Else if Current Item: Content Type ID equals Message
Email user group( Use this URL in the email body:
http://servername/Lists/Team%20Discussion/Flat.aspx?RootFolder=%2FLists%2FTeam%20Discussion%2F[%Current Item:Discussion Subject%]. This will link you to the flat view of the discussion. If you want to link to the display form for the message, you can set
    the URL like this:
    http://servername/Lists/Team%20Discussion/DispForm.aspx?ID=[%Current Item:ID%])

  • WLC 8500 SSO HA not working

    Hi there,
We're running AireOS 8.0 in a  WLC 8500 series and we're getting problems trying to enable HA scenario. These are the scenarios we have tested:
management interface tagged + switchport trunk tagged + HA tagged + switchport trunk tagged = SSO not working
management interface tagged + switchport trunk tagged + HA tagged + switchport access = SSO not working
management interface untagged + switchport trunk native vlan + HA untagged + switchport access = SSO not working
No scenario is working and in cases 1 and 2 we are lossing the associated APs and we only recover them in case 3.
In parallel, after enabling tagged interface in management, the "show ip arp" of the switch shows the IP through the HA interface and the ping is lost outwards WLC and inwards.
    Any suggestion?
    Regards.

Try to delete the config on  switch and try this.
    Switch config :
    interface range <>
    switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
    switchport mode trunk
    switchport trunk allowed vlan X,Y,Z
    Channel-group <> mode on
Still not working then check if WLC is reachable via ssh or telnet!
if you have access via ash or telnet then reboot WLC by using "reset system" command .
    hope it helps.
    Regards

  • Lumia 920 Wireless Charging not working - Known is...

I have a Nokia Lumia 920, which works perfectly fine. I haven't had some of the other issues reported here with freezing, apps, etc.
I have a Nokia charging plate and I've found that no matter what I do the wireless charging plate absolutely does not work. I've turned off Bluetooth, Wifi, turned ON Battery Saver, disabled every background app, even hard reset my phone and tried charging it from stock. The wireless charging plate doesn't even maintain the current battery state - The battery slowly drains hour by hour. I've also tried placing the phone on the charging plate in different positions to ensure it's making good contact. Nothing works.
Is this a known issue? Is there anyway to identify a defective phone? Is there a possible fix for this? I love my Lumia, but this a killer feature I would expect to work consistently.

OK, this thread is odd. My charging plate works fine. It has a side with a little ring and Nokia in it, and the other side has an oval of rubber around the periphery with the usual conformance writing on it that side Qi, CE, don't throw it on the trash icon,  Mine works just fine with the Oval down, and the Nokia in the ring up. Is that not what others see?
I can turn it over, but it is touchy as to whether I can get the light to come on. Usually not. I assumed, initially, the oval went down to keep it from sliding around on the table, and Nokia went up because they want you to know it's Nokia. Has always worked that way. I wish there was a larger rubber something on the 'top' as the phone can slide and spin more than I think it should.
For what it is worth, I much prefer the charge stand, but the plate is more convenient if I am going to travel somewhere for a while. Couple of days, just charger, week or so, might bring the plate for the hotel.
BTW, I do get the connect noise when putting it on the charge plate. Sometimes it can take a second otr two. When I take it off, it can take several seconds to get the disconnect noise and the charging icon to go away. If I put it back on the charger before the disconnect noise and the charge icon goes away, it does NOT make a connect noise, though the light comes on. The light will also eventually go off at full charge.

  • Airdrop does not work in iMac on my network

Trying to transfer files through Airdrop. It absolutely does not work or recognize anything on any of my iMacs (2011,2014) from iPhone6 through Airport network. When I go to my friend's house (same Airport and iMac and iphone) Airdrop works just fine.
This is what i see on my finder. Even when everything I have is connected to the network and the Airdrop finder page is on or I'm trying to send an image or something through my iphone

With Yosemite we have a new kind of AirDrop and what used to be AirDrop is now "Legacy Airdrop" because older computers cannot support the new standard. On your newer computer (The late 2013) model when you select AirDrop you'll see in blue type "Don't see who you're looking for?" You have to click on that link and then click on "Search for an Older Mac"
Assuming you've already selected AirDrop on the older Mac, it will appear as you'd expect on the 2013 iMac. I've found that sometimes once the "Legacy AirDrop" has been selected on the new computer on my older MBP I have to unselect AirDrop and then reselect it for the newer computers to be seen on the older MBP.
Hope this resolves your problem. Almost forget - choosing "Legacy" isn't sticky. You have to do this every time you want to Airdrop with an older computer.

  • Help with Div Tags

    Hello,
I've got 2 flash files in separate div tags. Div 1 is sized 100% x 100% to match the movie, and the other div tag is set at 900px x 700px (again to match the movie). The 1st tag sort of acts as a background to the top layer. This all works great and really happy with the result.
My only problem is when the browser window gets smaller than the top layer a scroll bar appears (this is no problem, i actually don't want the top layer to resize due to text legibility etc.) but what i notice is that when you scroll to view the rest of the top layer, the bottom layer no longer fills the screen, the remainder of the screen is now white, it actually cuts off some of the image from where the window was in it's last position.

    Hello all,
Just started using Dreamweaver and was following a tutorial
about making a layout in Photoshop, slicing it, and then importing
it into Dreamweaver. Then I delete the content portions of the
image and add a box with DIV tags.
Now, the site works just fine when I put only a single line

I have the site hosted with 2 lines of text in my main
