Apache wrapper
i have created a web client that successfully connects to a webservice (using sun app server 8.1). however when we wrap this with apache (for url naming) it cannot find the service-ref jndi lookup in the code. has anyone else had this problem? im sure there is an easy solution but am unable to find the answer.
thanks

The Oracle JVM is not the vanilla Sun JDK but one that is tweaked by Oracle. For instance the Aurora JVM doesn't support multi-threading. Now that measn that there may be some Java packages which you would regard as "core" that have been jettisoned by Oracle. As you obviously have a Metalink account your best bet would be to raise a TAR or SR or whatever they're calling them this week, and get Support to help you out.

Apache comons logging implemented it with a wrapper classes around
hi friends,
i have an interesting (unsually )problem regaurding apache commons logging, i am using three classes .
one is the logger class where i instantiate the logging instance ie Log log = LogFactory .getLog("some name");
then there is a class called LFactory where i use i hashMap to store the various different logger created or to access the different logger for the hashmap
then the last i have i LoggerAccessor class which links the LFactory.
as u all now that the logger will give the line number of the class where we use the log instance ( Log log)..... but as i am using a wrapper classes around the actually log instance.
in any class where i require the logging to be done.. i used my LoggerAccessor. so instead of giving me the Actuall Classname, methodname, and line number of the class where i give logging statements. I get the name of my class where i have created the instance and specially the line number of the class where the instance is created....( means my first class).
i want to get the name, method, linenumber of the class where i have added logging statements
please find me the solution for it.....
thanksGood Question Nutan !! But i don't have answer !! Hope someone else will answer this !

WebDB and CGI Wrapper with Apache
Has anyone had any success using the cgi wrapper that oracle provides for running webdb on Apache (or others). I got it to work pretty much but once I log in to webdb the wdbcgi executable crashes:

Issues with the SQL wrapper scripts created with the DB adapter
Hi All,
We have the wrapper sql scripts created with the DB adapter configurations which are being used to invoke the stored procedures.
To give you a background on the wrapper sql scripts-The Adapter Configuration wizard generates a wrapper API when a PL/SQL API has arguments of data types, such as PL/SQL Boolean, PL/SQL Table, or PL/SQL Record.
These two SQL files are saved in the same directory where the WSDL and XSD files are stored, and are available in the Project view.
The issue we are facing now is that whenever the associated package or the procedure structure undergoes a change we see an error as given below:
An unhandled exception has been thrown in the ESB system. The exception reported is: "org.collaxa.thirdparty.apache.wsif.WSIFException: esb:///ESB_Projects/Application1_ABC_ESB/DBADP_Update_Out.wsdl [ DBADP_Update_Out_ptt::DBADP_Update_Out(InputParameters,OutputParameters) ] - WSIF JCA Execute of operation 'DBADP_Update_Out' failed due to: Error while trying to prepare and execute an API. An error occurred while preparing and executing the APPS.XXIRIS_SOA_R_WRAPPER.XXIRIS_AR_CUST_K$ API. Cause: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded ORA-04061: existing state of package body "APPS.XXIRIS_AR_CUST_K" has been invalidated ORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped package body "APPS.XXIRIS_AR_CUST_K" ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "APPS.XXIRIS_AR_CUST_K" ORA-06512: at "APPS.XXIRIS_SOA_R_WRAPPER", line 1 ORA-06512: at line 1 [Caused by: ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded ORA-04061: existing state of package body
In such cases we need to either execute the wrapper scripts again or refresh the connection pool in case the wrapper sql scripts for that procedure are not available.
In some cases we see that the first instance errors out. However the second request and the subsequent requests after that goes through successfully.
Please do let me know if anyone has faced such issues before.
Any inputs in this regard would be of great help.
Thanks in advance!
DeepthiI stumbled on a link in the oracle forum which says that the "create or replace package XXX" at the start of the PL/SQL procedure when run seems to intermittently cause the ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded problem.
As per the solution suggested an “alter package XXX compile" can be executed after the changes are made and then we would no longer get the error in BPEL/ESB and dont have to bounce the server too.
__http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=185762_
However the above solution does not seem to resolve the issue.
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Deepthi -

Fatal error: Call to undefined function odbc_connect() in /var/www/html/waseem.php on line 20
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Is the problem with oci_connect or odbc_connect?
The phpinfo() output shows '--without-unixODBC' which may be a root cause. There is no 'odbc' section shown in the phpinfo() output so I wouldn't expect odbc calls to work.
But if the issue is with OCI8, then make sure that Oracle environment variables and LD_LIBRARY_PATH are set BEFORE starting Apache.
More information on OCI8 and PHP is in http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/php/underground-php-oracle-manual.html

Problem Installing Policy Agent 2.2 on Apache 2.2.3
Hi all,
I'm trying to configure policy agent 2.2 on apache 2.2.3 on linux platform CentOS (red hat 5.1).
The configuration and the installation seem to work properly, in effect in the log file install.log you can find :
[06/10/2008 16:38:49:865 CEST] Creating directory layout and configuring Agent file for Agent_001 instance ...SUCCESSFUL.
[06/10/2008 16:38:49:936 CEST] Reading data from file /opt/web_agents/apache22_agent/passwordFile and encrypting it ...SUCCESSFUL.
[06/10/2008 16:38:49:937 CEST] Generating audit log file name ...SUCCESSFUL.
[06/10/2008 16:38:50:022 CEST] Creating tag swapped AMAgent.properties file for instance Agent_001 ...SUCCESSFUL.
[06/10/2008 16:38:50:026 CEST] Creating a backup for file /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf ...SUCCESSFUL.
[06/10/2008 16:38:50:031 CEST] Adding Agent parameters to /opt/web_agents/apache22_agent/Agent_001/config/dsame.conf file ...SUCCESSFUL.
[06/10/2008 16:38:50:032 CEST] Adding Agent parameters to /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file ...SUCCESSFUL.
But, when I try to restart Apache it gives me an error and in the error.log file in Apache you can read:
[Tue Jun 10 16:57:33 2008] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)
[Tue Jun 10 16:57:34 2008] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authentication ...
[Tue Jun 10 16:57:34 2008] [notice] Digest: done
[Tue Jun 10 16:57:34 2008] [alert] Policy web agent configuration failed: NSPR error
Configuration Failed
Well, I found in the Sun documentation a well known bug about the NSPR and NSS library :
Error message issued during installation of Policy Agent 2.2 on Linux systems
When the Linux operating system is installed, specific components can be selected. Occasionally the specific components of the operating system selected lack the libraries necessary for Policy Agent 2.2 to function. When the complete Linux operating system is installed, all the required libraries are available. The libraries that are required for the agent to function are as follows: NSPR, NSS, and libxml2.
Workaround: If the Linux operating system you are using is not complete, install the latest versions of these libraries as described in the steps that follow:
At the time this note was added, the latest version of the NSPR library packages was NSPR 4.6.x , while the latest version of the NSS library package was NSS 3.11.x.
To Install Missing Libraries for Policy Agent 2.2 on Linux Systems
*+
Install the NSS, and libxml2 libraries. These libraries are usually available as part of Linux installation media. NSPR and NSS are available as part of Mozilla binaries/development packages. You can also check the following sites:
o
NSPR: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/nspr/
o
NSS: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/
So, I checked my libraries but they are upgraded to the latest version.
If I comment the line that includes the libamapc22.so in the apache configuration file
LoadModule dsame_module /opt/web_agents/apache22_agent/lib/libamapc22.so
Apache can restart but the agent is misconfigurated!
Any Idea?thank you Subhodeep for your reply,
I didn't try to change the library file and I didn't find in licterature any information about library file changing in the Policy agent installation. Please, could you suggest me something more about which library to use instead of libamapc22.so?
ps. I am using red hat 5.1, and from the release note of the policy agent seems that the latest platform version supported is red hat enterprise linux 4.0 versions.....
this one could definitely be the reason of the misconfiguration. -
Can't get suexec to work with apache and php
I want to enable php scripts to be executed by a php process that runs as the same user as the owner of the site. In my case I am just using userdir so anything under /home/username/public_html should be run as username. I have mod_suexec.so loaded in my httpd.conf file. In the apache docs it says that:
User directories:
Requests that are processed by mod_userdir will call the suEXEC wrapper to execute CGI programs under the userid of the requested user directory. The only requirement needed for this feature to work is for CGI execution to be enabled for the user and that the script must meet the scrutiny of the security checks above. See also the --with-suexec-userdir compile time option.
I think my file meets the security checks it mentions which are listed on the site: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/suexec.html So that makes me wonder about CGI execution being enabled for my user and how do I modify that. Is there anything else I need to change to enable it?

Can't seem to get apache to start up... [SOLVED]
I try to invoke Apache using 'httpd' as my command and I get the following:
xelados@sporkbox:/etc/httpd/conf$ httpd
(13)Permission denied: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80
(13)Permission denied: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
I've tried running as root and nothing happens. I've modified /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf to set ServerName to 10.0.0.9, which is my internal IP. This server will be acting to provide an intranet wiki. I've never seen this error before, so I'm unsure as to how to handle it.
SOLVED: A friend I know helped me out. I added "127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain sporkbox" to my /etc/hosts and added "Listen 127.0.0.1:80" to /etc/httpd/httpd.conf along with my internal IP and it worked! Now Apache works when I input "localhost", my internal IP, and my hostname.

Apache web server not working...PLEASE HELP!!
I'm trying to get apache working on my Mac so I can host a website that will access a local MySQL database. I've researched this for a while. When I run the command:
#sudo /usr/sbin/apachectl -t
I get the following output:
httpd: Syntax error on line 75 of /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/libexec/apache2/mod_deflate.so into server: dlopen(/usr/libexec/apache2/mod_deflate.so, 10): Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libz.1.dylib\n Referenced from: /usr/libexec/apache2/mod_deflate.so\n Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:\n\t/usr/lib/libz.1.dylib: no matching architecture in universal wrapper\n\t/usr/lib/libz.1.dylib: no matching architecture in universal wrapper\n\t/usr/lib/libz.1.dylib: no matching architecture in universal wrapper
How do I fix this issue? I would really like to get this running without having to resort to a virtual Linux box or using XAMMP if possible. Thanks for any help you can provide!
MikeI get the following when I run that:
Usage: /usr/sbin/httpd [-D name] [-d directory] [-f file]
[-C "directive"] [-c "directive"]
[-k start|restart|graceful|graceful-stop|stop]
[-v] [-V] [-h] [-l] [-L] [-t] [-S]
Options:
-D name : define a name for use in <IfDefine name> directives
-d directory : specify an alternate initial ServerRoot
-f file : specify an alternate ServerConfigFile
-C "directive" : process directive before reading config files
-c "directive" : process directive after reading config files
-e level : show startup errors of level (see LogLevel)
-E file : log startup errors to file
-v : show version number
-V : show compile settings
-h : list available command line options (this page)
-l : list compiled in modules
-L : list available configuration directives
-t -D DUMP_VHOSTS : show parsed settings (currently only vhost settings)
-S : a synonym for -t -D DUMP_VHOSTS
-t -D DUMP_MODULES : show all loaded modules
-M : a synonym for -t -D DUMP_MODULES
-t : run syntax check for config files
So it doesn't like the command. If I run "#sudo /usr/sbin/apachectl -t", I get the error listed in my initial posting.

Cant Delete Jar in Apache Jserv? Why???
Hi all
Can any one tell me why i cant delete my jar file in Apache Jserv, servlets folder. It says access denied. I stopped apache server and then tried to delete it. But no use. Help me in this matter.
One more problem i am getting is my jar file is not able to access the dependent class files like oreilly's Multipart request class. In wrapper classpath i had given oreilly's package path, and my jar is also included in wrapper class path.
The above jar file i was talking is created by me.
Expecting your help soon.....
Thanks and Regards
Ramesh.Hi Ramesh,
If you're unable to move or delete .jar, .log, .conf, or any other files after stopping Apache, the JVM has not been properly stopped. When you start Apache with Apache JServ configured, a separate JVM (java.exe) process is started. Many Win32 users use Ctrl-C to stop Apache, and this does not stop the JVM. Also, occassionally with buggy code or buggy VMs, the Java process will not respond to Apache's requests to shutdown.
The preferred way of stopping the JVM properly is to use the command line options to shutdown Apache. In NT, you can type "net stop apache", and on all Win32, you can type "apache -k shutdown", from a command prompt. This should properly shutdown the JVM.
If the JVM does not die, you will have to manually kill the process. In 95/98, Ctrl-Alt-Del will list the processes; select the process and click "End Process". In NT, start the task manager, select the process, right click, and select end process. If that doesn't stop your JVM, reboot.
Hope this will help you.
Regards,
Anil.

Can you explain this strange situation? What should I do with

Please help!
Thanks in advanced
AntoniosChanges to the jserv.properties might be the most probable
reason. When you make changes to jserv prorety file or config
file, you should take extra care for not including any thing
which is incorrect or not existing.
Could you please double check the changes you made. Or at least
first try to take out all the manual changes made and try to
apply one by one and see the jserv log and apache log by
restarting Apache. -
