APEX images and scripts through relay

At the moment I'm using APEX from inside a java (weblogic) environment using a URLConnection.
I have removed most of the content from the templates so that my application now spits out straight HTML without the headers, etc.
eg. it will just output a table with a report in it, minus the html, head and body tags.
The problem I've run into is that I've forgotten how to access APEX files externally.
eg. say if I upload an image, what is the URL I should use to access this image from the outside world?
And likewise, how can I access a CSS or JS file stored inside APEX?
APEX is greatly reducing development time for reports :)

I was leaving the /pls/apex part on the URL, and then shoving the /i/... part after it - fixed now!!
Also, another question... I'm testing using a report at the moment, and it outputs a script after the table that looks something like this:

Oh and sorry to be a pain, but do you know how to pass parameters into APEX?
eg. If I run a report and want to send it a start date and end date, how can I do this?
This is what I currently use to access the report page:

Is there any way to make it take a few parameters, like:
/pls/apex/f?p=104:2&startDate=010106&endDate=010107
It seems to currently give me a page not found error when I try this...
It seems to only load the page when I give it the application and the page, but nothing else.
It then assigns me a session id in the URL.

Upgrading APEX from 3.2 to 4.0 images and buttons not displaying correctly

APEX: 3.2.1
Attemping to upgrade APEX from 3.2 to 4.0. The installation script runs fine and updates the database successfully. I run the .sql to import the images and it ran successfully however when I attempt to access the APEX home page, the images are not loaded and the buttons don't do anything. I did some research through google but did not come to anything that resolved my issue. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for your time...If you are using mod_plsql, you need to run @apxldimg.sql script with SYS user file present with Apex installation. Also provide the location of your apex folder as parameter to this script.

HOWTO and script: create and burn an UDF image with 4+GB files
Most people think, creating UDF images with files bigger than 4GB or even 1GB is impossible, however it's not true! You just need udftools. Also you need to load loop and udf modules. There's a good howto by grigio, I also created an (admitably pretty poor) script to do it automatically, since grigio's howto doesn't include real dvd sizes:

Looking to create script(s) that open a folder of image and save as each image is edited/retouched.
I used to use the iOpener plug-in to read a folder of images and present each image to me to edit/retouch. When I was done with the image, I clicked a button on a panel and it saved the resulting PSD in a designated destination folder and automagically retrieved the next image in the folder. Do this repeatedly until all images in the folder were processed. Fundy had a nice tool (Batch Editor), but it is end-of-life and not being offered anymore and iOpener seems to no longer be maintained. Target app is Photoshop CS6 / CC.
I want to build a simple set of scripts, embedded in a panel, that would let me replicate the basic function of these tools. Open an image from a selected folder. Let me do all the edits I want. Then save the result to a designated destination folder (or just a Save and Close), the serve up the next image.
I have many years of software development in other languages, but relatively new to adobe scripting so am looking for example code to get me heading the right direction. Also doesn't hurt to know whether something like this already exists and I can just use it.

I bought iPhone 6 Plus few days ago and I have the following problems:
1) When entering through Safary to Google Images and tap on each one of them they do not enlarge nor I am able by click on them to enter into their connected website
2) When I receive an e-mail with images I cannot easily save them in my gallery. It needs more than 10 tabs to the window "save this image" or "save all 3 images" and if I am lucky it saves one image. This is very frustrating, I loose a lot of time trying and affects my job.

When I "save page as" via the file button at the top edge of the page, I also get a folder containing gif images, jscript script files and other similar items. I am not is allowed to delete it unless I also delete the page I need. How can I stop this from happening. is it the way I've configured firefox perhaps.

I am importing a images file programmatically into APEX. And also a CSS file.
I want to add an images file to my APEX instance but I want to choose the option -- workspace images --. How does one do that programmatically via the APEX API e.g.?
I don't want the images tied to an application within APEX.
Does one do the same thing for CSS files that are imported to APEX?

Where can I download the last version that allows images and java script to be turned off?
Due to my often slow connection I must have the option to turn off "automatically download images" and Java script. Firefox 23 does not have those options. Where can I download version 22 or whatever the latest version is that allowed these options?
ThanksThe Quickimage add-on doesn't work well at all, it gets stuck in the image off mode and will not switch back even after rebooting Firefox. Version 23.0 of Firefox is also very slow on my computer.
I really need to find an older version of Firefox. Any idea where to download version 22 or earlier? -
Upload Images and PDFs into MDM through UI
Hi All,
I have a requirement where in we need to perform a mass upload of Images and PDFs into the respective tables of MDM through a UI.
It is like, I browse the files through UI and click on Upload button, all those Images and PDFs should be uploaded in MDM.
Is this a possible scenario? I have searched through sdn but could find no information pertaining to it.
Please let me know if this is a possible scenario and provide some links to any documents related to it.

Sravanupload of images and pdfs are dome from the data manager in MDM.
ideally whatever u do in the DM is possible to be achieved by using the MDM APIs.
so in ur UI (Webdynpro/ Java) u should call the APIsfor upload to the respective tables and its very much possible.
check the MDM API list for more details.

WLST Scripting and interating through a propertiy file

I need to create over 100 JMS queues for a specific applicaiton. Is it possible to iterate through a property file and create these JMS resources using WLST?

Open a document, image size and script alert window pop up
Everytime I open a document in Photoshop CS5, these 2 dialog boxes (Image Size, Script Alert) would pop up. I would need to cancel 2 times to start editing. Is there a setting I can disable this?

Is it possible for IPhoto to seek out duplicate images and then delete them?
Try one of these: iPhoto Library Manager, Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto, Duplicate Annihilator or iPhoto Applescript to Remove Duplicates. The second and last are free. The first is, IMO, the better app and has many other features.

APEX Listener and EPG - strange behaviour

For some years, I've used EPG for APEX but have struggled with performance particularly as I can have up to 150 student developers using at any one time.
I do a fair amount of work using ORDImage and have successfully developed APEX applications to upload image files and display full-size and thumbnail images.
After upgrading to APEX 4.1 (from 4.0), I decided to install APEX Listener standalone.
Before I did so I checked that my applications still worked in 4.1 and they did.
However, just installing APEX Listener but not configuring it (yet) has meant that my image display in a report using a procedure based on wpg_docload.download_file( l_ordimage_image.source.localData ) no longer works in EPG - the images are not displayed.
Configuring APEX Listener and running the same application through that DOES display the images.
So this part of the application works under APEX Listener but not under EPG.
My application also allows users to upload images from APEX_APPLICATION_FILES using standard code. Under APEX Listener after uploading, I'm left with a blank page with a wwv_flow.accept URL although the image does indeed upload. Under EPG it works as expected and I get a success confirmation.
So this part of the application works under EPG but not under APEX Listener.
Has anyone else come across different behaviour depending on the mode of connection?

it sounds like you have both EPG and APEX Listener running on the same machine, so your problem might result from a port conflict. Note that both services use TCP port 8080 as default.
At least a port conflict would explain the strange behaviour in your case, some things working on one web server and some on the other.
Some parts of your initial post hint to that direction, e.g.

However, if you are sure that's not the issue, please check if you see any error in the APEX Listener's log for the following action you performed:

For further investigations, if necessary, it would be helpful to know how you deployed or started your APEX Listener and which JDK version you use.
For the moment, I still think the port conflict is my best guess.
You could avoid it by either changing the port for EPG (I'd not recommend that if you have other users still using it) or by changing the port for your APEX Listener.

CRS 10.1 with Endeca 3.1.1 -home page doesn't show image and promo products
Thanks to this forum and especially cmore I'm close to setting up my local dev environment, but still have something to resolve.
I have ATG 10.1.2 + CRS + Endeca 3.1.1. I installed BCC with Staging and Production (switchable) stores.
The problem is with Production CRS - both US Store and Home Store don't show image and promoted products on Home page.
What I see below Top Category pane is empty square. Unlike Production, home page on Stage works fine - I see homepage_promo_storeSiteUS_en_anonymous.png and promoted products.
I think the problem is not related to Endeca, as I currently connect both Stage and Prod to the same Endeca CRS, I also believe that issue is not related to configuration - I tried to run production with Stage configuration, and it changed nothing. I believe the issue is somewhere in data (DB) - but I did full deployment for Prod and it didn't help. I verified targeters and slots on Prod through ACC, and they looks fine. So don't know at this point what to do next.
While doing full deploy I see some errors in the log which might be related to the issue, But the same errors I see on Stage as well and still Stage works without issues:

Most likely the issue is with Scenarios. HomeTheme Slot is populated by Theme scenario.
For some reason the slot remains empty on "bad" environment. On "good" environment the slot contain promo content item after the first call of the slot. I checked respective targeter and promo content item, and they look OK, so I believe something wrong with Scenarios.
